unless you have AAA, make sure you pick a pair of these up. they do not tangle, which is nice and easy to clamp on. Well worth it, especially if you have kids...you cannot afford to be stranded.

It never fails, that when you need a jump, you are parked nose-in the parking space. With 25 foot cables, you don't need to push the car out. Plus, it doesn't matter what side the battery is on. AMAZON.COM sells 12, 16, 20 and 25 foot lengths. Compare the prices, and the 25 foot is a good value for just a little extra money. Thick, heavy, 4 gauge wire provides quick starts (these things weigh about 15 pounds!). Each clamp has a glow in the dark polarity indicator on it. At first, this sounds like a solar powered flashlight, because the cables are stored in the dark trunk, but ten seconds in front of the booster car's headlights will charge them up. Cheap jumper cables are no bargin. Buy the best and be done with it. I can't wait until my next dead battery! (Well, almost).

For ease of use, The Deltran Battery Tender is an excellent way to charge and maintain the battery on your motorcycle, snowmobile, or even a heavy- duty vibrator, not that I would know anything about that! The kit includes a BMW type plug for machines so equipped, and an SAE adaptor with alligator clips. You can also wire the SAE adaptor right to your bike's battery and have easy access to the plug- in. The battery is maintained in a peak state of charge, with no worries of over charging.

Much heavier cables than most of those you find in retail outlets. The wire guage is what is most important, and these cables are heavy enough. I wish they had soldered connections at the clamps, but if you keep them clean and dry these will last forever. The clamps will attach to side terminal batteries.

They also have a tag with insructions attached to the cables, but if you need to read them at all you should do so very carefully. Jumping a car battery is quite simple, but easy to screw up and I strongly suggest that if you carry cables you do so only once you are confident you know how to use them properly.

I had one pair of these cables that I keep in the trunk of my car, and now I am getting a second pair for my second car. Solid construction, nice thick guage. Clamps are very secure and the no tangle feature is amazing. The fact that it is also secure on side post batteries is a major plus. This is a must have for the trunk of your car, however I recommend going with the longer cables. It's also a nice feature that they stay flexible to -94F for those of you in colder states/areas. These things will never let you down!! Coleman is a name you can trust in all sorts of products. I also recommend getting the jumper cable bag just in case they ever get dirty, you don't want the truck of your car getting dirty because of jumper cables. Very sturdy 4-guage wire provides all the amperage you need, you wont lose power through the cables length, you will always get a nice clean start using these cables, whether it be starting your car, or just charging your battery, they will not let you down. Handles are also nicely insulated to protect you from getting electrocuted from the battery terminals.

Purchased in February, has not worked out of the box. Unit will not charge. Unit has been under warranty repair for the past 2 months. It was junk, right out of the box. I will not purchase another tool or accessory from the above.

This item will not fully charge and/or the charging light does not work. I contacted the company and they sent me a new battery but the unit still does not fully charge.

This is a very useful item and a value for money. Compact and well constructed. Stands firm in the trunk. Just make sure that you cover it in a plastic or something so that any rainwater or snow does not fall on it causing any possible short circuit as two clips are always active.

Only complaint I have about most of jump starters is that their tongs/clips are not very easy connect. Many times some car battery terminals so different in shape than these tongs can effectively clamp to. Only if they could change the shape and specs of battery terminals and also the tongs on jump starters to match, it will be more convenient.

Good investment. Just make sure to charge from time to time (once in 3 weeks or so). Last thing you want is to need a jump start and see that battery of your jump starter is all drained.

This 16 ft. Coleman jumper cable is a 4 gauge cable which is a mechanic's grade. It is durable and will last a long time. The length ensures that you will be able to utilize this tool without worry, the clamps glow in the dark and fit both side post and top post batteries. It comes with a lifetime warranty and I am very glad that I bought it.

I just received this tool-set yesterday so I can't really comment through use of the tools. But upon inspection, the different tools appear very poorly made - example: the ratchet tool feels like it is going to fall apart as you twist the head to change the direction from left to right, and the flashlight is light as a feather.

Given that, having these tools together in one portable place is nice. Plus I guess you shouldn't really expect much more for the price. Don't get me wrong, I still plan on keeping this in the back of my truck. But if I were to do it again, I might spend a little more money, and put an emergency tool-box together myself.

I was lookin for tool kits to take home to India, and this is just the perfect toolkit I could have thought about.

150Amp and you'd see that only by miracle it can recharge your
