These are high quality clamps. You can never have too many clamps, which is why I bought this set. An exceptional value,
and a great addition to my shop. I already had a few Irwin clamps, so I knew would be happy with this purchase.

This is a great tool but the price is no big deal. You can buy this item anywhere in the world for $29.00

IRWIN clamps have GOT to be the BEST you can buy for your money. The tools are built solidly, and the alignment between screw and anvil never varies (as many do). By proffesion, I am a mechanical engineer and have been designing and overseeing manufacture of consumer products for over 25 years. I can tell you, that from this perspective, IRWIN has been my TOP CHOICE for woodworking products since the first time I purchased this clamp. I am now methodically replacing all of my shops clamps with IRWIN clamps. And NO, I do not work for IRWIN, and am in no way associated with this fine company. (but they could send some appreciation clamps this way if they like. heh). If you are looking to purchase clamps, the extra few dollars will be appreciated every time you turn that screw.

The Irwin sliding bar clamps with clutch lock are excellent. They do not bend/bow when tightened like my Bessey clamps of the same length do. Manufacturing quality is excellent. The grips are easier on the hands than the wooden grips of the Bessey clamps. I wish I could trade all my Bessey clamps for these Irwin clamps.

I just received a set of 12" and 24" versions of these clamps. These are the best parallel clamps I have seen and are far superior to Besseys. I have not used them except in trials but measured them exactly at 90 degrees under pressure. Awesome.

I didn't figure that there was much of a differnce between hose clamps. I used both - steel band clamps and wire band clamps- with ribbed hose for dust collection. The wire band clamps were easier to put on, held better, seated well, and stayed on the fittings better.

If you've ever tried to glue a delicate solid wood edge on a 1/4" piece of plywood you know that there are very few clamping options. Most clamps are simply too strong and will damage the work. I have found that tape works quite well but must be cleaned off. This little clamp does the job even faster than taping and there's no cleanup required. This clamp works as a spring clamp or as an edge-clamp and has all the same features of the larger 2" model including the exclusive automatic edging feature and pressure-adjustment. This smaller version of the #3262 works best when edging panels 3/4" thick or less. It always applies just the right amount of pressure and will never damage the work. These 3-WAY spring clamps are a must for any shop, just remember that edge clamping requires clamps be applied about every 3-4 inches apart so be sure to buy enough to do the job. I never buy basic spring clamps anymore I always insist on 3-WAYS because it is almost like getting the worlds best edge clamp for free!

This is a great tool, and it does the job that it was designed to do.

I would just recommend that if you are considering buying this to consider the 12, 24 or 36 inch versions instead. I purchased this along with the others, and then realized that if I have one of the larger clamps that I have no need for the 6" clamp.

The larger clamps can do the same job as this one plus more.

I'm a certifiable clamp junkie & I prefer the Jorgensen line. I've strayed off the straight & narrow occasionally & tried other brands but I've always come back to Jorgies. Simple & bullit-proof, nice thick cushy pads & a clutch system that engages without fuss every time. The minis are great for light duty clamping, getting into tight spots & setting up jigs. For these jobs I like the 8" length, not too short & not too long. I think Jorgensens design is as good as anyone's, their quality control consistantly a cut above & their price a little easier on the pocket book. Jorgensens definitely see the most use on my workbench. Now if I could just find a woodworkers anonymous meeting........

I had an old jig, and replaced it with this one. It is great, and much better than my old one. I did find the same one at much lower price on the web. But decided to keep this one. Too busy to return and reorder.

The price is great compared to the Delta tennoning jig it is less expensive BUT it is far better quality.
I looked at the Delta tennoning jig but it was surprisingly substandard to what I expect from Delta. Too bad.

This Jet model is awesome all of the design is strong, literally!
The design allows for large movements of head then locks down for the micro adjustments. All axis adjustment and the miter bar can be mounted in two places for even greater lateral adjustment.
Two grips and three mounting locations allow for ease of movement regardless of angle of tennon.

Look forward to many years of service from this design.
