Clamps Review Great for homeowners with storage problems
Since this is not a very technical item, There isn't much to say about how well it works for its intended purpose. After all, it's a plank... But the real beauty comes in the fact that the adjustable length makes it very easy to store such a long stage in a confined area. I use mine incombination with 2 extension ladders and a couple of scaffold jacks. Works great.

Clamps Review Great Saw
THe Bosch 3915 is a great addition to my power tool collection. I was impressed with it's ability to cut 2x8's and 10's as well as fine trim. The rails have little play and can give you very accurate angle cuts in both miter and bevel positions cut after cut.The only thing that could be improved is the dust bag chute. IT clogs very easily when cutting undried (framing) lumber.

Clamps Review Accurate and versatile
I have used this saw to put up intricate crown molding and to build a large outdoor playset. Cuts are very accurate and precise!!! And since it is a slide it can cut much larger pieces of wood than a non-sliding miter saw. Highly recommend!!!!

THIS SAW IS THE BEST IM A CARPENTER AND I LOVE IT BEST THING SINCE SLICE BREAD. DEWALT MAKITA AND HITACHI CAN JUMP ON DEEZ, THEY HAVE NOTHING ON BOSCH

Clamps Review Works great and simple to operate.
Well thought out design makes this a great clamp for cutting large pieces of plywood wtih a circular saw. The only minor fault is that you soemtimes have to play with the moveable side to get a firm clamp with no movement. I would highly recommend this to anyone that doesn't have the capacity to handle large pieces on a table saw.

Clamps Review No question an asset in your shop.
I have used this tool for just about everything. Router guide, rip fence, straight edge, etc.. this tool is a must for every shop. Do yourself a favor and get the 50" right away. I use it to cut all size boards and it never fails to deliver a perfectly straight cut. A++ tool.

Clamps Review Straight Line
This clamp devise is exactly what the doctor ordered, for me anyway. When I found this tool it was like someone heard what I was looking for. The tool is great for use as a straight line in any form, be it used as a skill saw guide or to mark lumber of any dimension. And the best part of the tool is that it does hold and clamp whatever you put it on be it one piece of wood or multiples. It holds them tight and one person can clamp it and it doesn't bend or move when being used as a saw guide also it holds tight to the surface of the wood, no movement up and down. This is not a flimsy tool. One thing that would be nice is if they made it with a ruler imprinted on the spine. The only regret I have is that I didn't buy the 24" guide.

Clamps Review Get the Milwaukee
Let me start by saying that I purchased this saw a few days ago, used it for 1 job and have returned it for the Milwaukee 6521. The Milwaukee costs about $40 more but in my opinion it is well worth the investment. Buy it right, buy it once. As I have found in the past, Porter Cable tools typically have adequate power to perform the job but lack the finer details necessary to make them the top of the line tool. This saw is no different.

On a positive side, this saw has plenty of power and beef to demolish just about anything it touches. No doubt. Although I've seen some reviewers complain about long term issues with the keyless chuck, it seems like one of the best in it's class, especially if you keep your tools reasonably clean - a simple blow-off gun cleans it right up. The ability to flip the blade upside down came in really handy and operated without an issue.

Room for improvement. One of the most notable differences between the Milwaukee and the PC was the thrashing you get from the PC. The Milwaukee has a dampener (PC doesn't) which definitely makes a difference, especially when you have to use it for an extended period of time. The Milwaukee design is also much more comfortable in the hand - from the handle to the front grip, just a much nicer feel.

The second complaint I have is that the variable speed is controlled by the amount you depress the trigger. This is great for starting cuts but it doesn't provide a great deal of control throughout the cut. This goes back to the vibration of the saw - you're trying to control depression of the trigger while holding on for dear life. The Milwaukee allows you to set the maximum speed of the saw with a dial (at full trigger) and it also allows a slow controlled start using the VS trigger.

A few other minor details that really help the Milwaukee stand out are the keyless shoe adjustment (PC uses an allen key that is waiting to get lost) and the replaceable cord. The shoe on the Milwaukee also has a better pivot point and visibility. Spend the $40 and you won't regret it.

Clamps Review This Saw Can Take It - And Dish It Out
I've had this saw for about a year now, and it can definitely handle the work. Let me start by saying that I've never been a huge Porter Cable fan. Their tools are always tough enough, but usually lack the smaller "finesse" design features that some of the other brands seem to have. In other words, a perfect choice for a recip. saw. The blade change collar works great - a HUGE improvement over my old Milwaukee with the hex key. This saw powers through wood, nails, pipe without complaint. My only complaint is minor. The blade compartment in the plastic case doesn't hold long blades. How hard is it to mold a plastic case that can handle common parts? Overall, a great value for a saw with this much power.

Clamps Review Tough, Versatile & Powerful.
Plenty of power. The blade change system is the best. A little weighty but overall not too bad. An excellent choice! The 9737 is tough, versatile & powerful.

Clamps Review the gold standard in affordable clamps
I doubt that I could write anything that hasn't already been written about these clamps. I will say that they are as useful today as they were when I first used them in middle-school shop class (a long time ago). I'm glad the old standards are still being held up.

Clamps Review Must have for a mitre saw
Such a simple clamp, but makes handling the workpiece much easier and safer. Much better than the type that simply pushes from the front of the mitre saw against the fence. Very sturdy, and holds very tight. The swivel arm aids in getting the clamp exactly where you need it.

Clamps Review Better than what comes with the saw
I recently purchased the Dewalt DW318 SCMS and ordered this clamp at the same time. I was disappointed when I compared the clamp that came with the saw with this one. The stock clamp has a smaller knob on the top for tightening against the work piece, and only the DW7082 has the quick release button to quickly raise or lower it. The stock clamp does have a bolt on the back of the arm that can lower it on the leg, but the fence of the saw only allows 1/4" of play unless it's slid out of the way. Originally I only ordered one DW7082 clamp knowing that the saw would already come with a clamp, but after comparing the two side by side, I ordered a second DW7082 and put the stock clamp aside. To invest in the saw and not have accessories that perform the way I want them doesn't make sense to me.

Clamps Review The DW7082 is the tops
I'm a residential contractor. I bought one with my original SCMS purchase over a year ago. Ever since wished I had a second one ... so I finally did it. Now I won't have to switch the one around (I usually like it on the intake), and also I can hold both sides of my work at once when I need.

It is well made and easy to use. And it is a great help when cutting hardwood or AZEK, both of which tend to move spontaneously while cutting.
