These are average clamps - they do have a nice finish. Paint on the C and copper coating on the screw. HOWEVER...the screw is VEWY WOBWY in the clamp. I would be reluctant to stress the clamp too much! Grizzly ain't givin nothin away after you pay for shipping. If you need a big number of ~somewhat~ cheesy clamps you can't beat the price. Doubt if I would use 'em for welding or an application that had sprung stress.

While the prvious reviewer said he found that thir was to much woble in the threads I have not had such a problem. I had bougt eight 6" and twelve 4" and have been great I have used them all extensivly for welding primarily lots of 1/2" steel plate and have crankd them as tight as posible and had absolutly on throble. Thanks grizzly for good cheap produtcs.

This is a good clamp but care must be exercised to avoid breaking it. There is only a lightweight rivet holding the forward jaw to the screw mechanism. When releasing pressure with this clamp you must gently tap the back side of the forward jaw as you unscrew to avoid breaking the rivet.

The clamp works well for situations where you want to stand the clamp on its back and lay the wood fully into the clamp. If you try to clamp with only the outside ends of the jaws it can be difficult to release the clamp.

Very stable clamp when used to glue up deep projects such as bookcases, cabinets and tall clocks. The aluminum body does not react with glues to create dark glue stains on the wood like what happens when an iron clamp contacts a glue joint squeeze out. One area of improvement - add the screw handle from the 3/4" pipe clamp or I-beam clamp.

One free holdfast was included when I purchased the Sjoberg bench. Like the product review states, this is made especially for the bench. I can't see any reason for someone to get this if they don't have a Sjoberg bench.

It does work suprisingly well. It fits pretty loosely in the hole, but by friction creates a strong clamp.

This device does exactly what it was designed to do: hold (items)fast (to the workbench). Like many of the best tools, it is simple, effective, and easy to use. Great for holding irregularly shaped pieces and carving blanks. In fact, this item works so well that, on occasion, my workbench has moved, rather than the piece of wood being worked on and held down by this holdfast. If you have a Sj�bergs workbench, this is a very worthwhile accessory.

I bought these clamps a while back and have found quite a few uses for them over the years. The plastic construction of these is very lightweight yet strong. I have not noticed any significant side-to-side "play" in the clamp hinges. Though the pressure applied by these is not overly high, they do a good job with general spring-clamping tasks such as holding moldings in place temporarily, etc.

For the money they are worth having around for those times when you really need this type of light clamp.

Great for controlling a number of bench power tools with a single switch. At the end of a project, just flip one switch and be assured all your tools are powered off. The 14 gauge wire is hefty enough for most "home" power tools and lawn equipment. The circuit breaker is a big plus. The clamp attaches to most surfaces securely, even on the top lip of a wheel barrel. My only complain is the swivel being a bit loose. Otherwise, it's a perfect addition to any workshop.

Theses things are tried and true.You can always count on a c- clamp.I know that lately all kinds of new clamps have sprouted everywhere and a lot of them are great but, there will always be room in my tool chest for c-clamps. Their uses are endless. These are well made and of good quality and should last you forever.I do recommend them highly. Now get out there and clamp something.

I knew exactly what I wanted and couldn't find this little bugger anywhere! Works just great for clamping up those tough edge banding/trim assemblies as long as you are careful about the small head's not damaging your material as you clamp. Very handy item that is worth the cost.

This is a good video for beginning welders. I got it for training new hires how to weld. It is a useful tool. They cover all the basics in-depth. While the instruction is a little boring--kind of hard to make it interesting--just keep in mind that the instructor looks like the construction worker from the Village People. It will give you a light hearted laugh and keep you awake during the slow points.

This is a decent welder. It is stable at the amperage levels. It can be used on several applications. Very easy to use and understand for the intermediate welder, but could use more instruction on the guaging for steel welding. It performs well, although I wouldn't reccomend hard wiring because it decreases its mobility for alternate applications. All in all, I am pleased with this product and would reccomend it for someone who knows how to weld or a beginner who wants to learn.

This is a great clamp! Easy to use, easy to tighten with the SUMOGRIP handle, and it is long enough to clamp just about anything that it would be needed for.
