Good clamp, good price. I'm sure to have these for the rest of my life. There were a few burrs that I had to file on the metal part, but other than that, no problems.

These clamps have been around for ever. Any good woodworking shop has a pile of them. Get them in pairs at a minimum and get a variety of sizes you won't be sorry. They last a lifetime and more.

Oh yeah the other dimension you need to know is the distance from the tip to the middle spindle on this clamp is 6 inches.

these clamps are ill as all... we had them in woodshop in school and they sure as hell can take a lot of abuse (if a constant 7 hours of use by highschool kids isnt abuse, i dont know what is) when i first started to buy tools my first purchase was 4 of these, you can never have too many of them, and they work perfectly and never mess up your work, i love em

Bought this clamp for my husband, didn't know what I was really doing. But he said that it was one of the easiest and best clamps on the market. So I guess I got lucky and chose a good brand.

These are the kind of clamps I always saw in pictures when I was a kid. So, I always associated these with wood working. They are high quality and very well made. You won't regret getting a set.

They are for every purpose as you can see. Curved and small surfaces are not what these are for. However if you need to clamp flat surfaces without marring, then this is a great clamp to use.

I believe in the romance of wood working and part of it is having tools made of wood. If you believe the same, get a set and you'll feel as good as I do about having them in your shop.

There are many imported wood hand screw clamps out there but they don't come close to the quality of a Jorgensen hand screw clamp. I own many, some are quite old, and I'll most likely pass them on to my grandchildren. These clamps have incredible holding power and will clamp non-parallel surfaces, too. The wood consruction of the clamps allows me to incorporate them into jigs where needed. They are excellent for fine woodworking as they will not mar the wood like metal clamps.

When I was in high school 33 years ago,I used jorgensen clamps.HAND SCREW AND BAR CLAMPS.THEY are the BEST.Then when I was a carpenter in the shop I used them.I guess you can say I had a life long love for jorgensen clamps.

How much can you say? This is a quality clamp. Well machined screws, heavy duty handles, finely made. Great clamping control... from real power to a delicate hold.

I especially like the size 0 for use with jigs, cross cut sled, and my Incra router system.

The tool arrived right on time, however the order was suppose to have been 2 inserts & clamps and what I received was the pack of 1 insert & 1 clamp. I was ready for extreme delays, and a big hassle in resolving the issue, especially since this was during the holidays. Well let me tell you...I sent one email to the address provided by amazon on my order page explaining the situation and within 3 hours there was an email saying sorry for the mess up and a new product was on its way. Now I call that "Good Business"

Easy to operate. Just put fingers in recessed grips on the sides of both jawsand press down release bars with thumbs. Pull jaws open and twist wrists to angle jaws in different directions. Fit jaws to work piece, release thumbs from bars and tighten snug with threaded rod turn handles. To release from work piece, loosen turn handles slightly and press release bars with thumbs and pull jaws open.

I can get a better finish with these than with a pole sander. I guess that's obvious. I like to use them with a light shining across the joints to get them really smooth. As with the pole sanders, I like to use floor sanding paper with these. It cuts faster , lasts longer and stays flatter than the precut sheets and sanding screens.

Previously, I tried two different sears craftsman versions which kicked out the release button when I tightened the holding knob.

At the home improvement show this fall, I got to play with this unit at the Wilton booth. It had a metal looking piece which kept the release unit from self releasing and if you overtightened-the unit just clicked but held on solid. I was pleased to see this. I found another Wilton in a hardware store with non-metal looking pieces which was what the sears ones had in them but didn't bother to buy it.

I find this a fine product for light work. It does double duty as a convenient wide-jawed clamp or spreader.

But whoever designed the hard plastic packaging should spend eternity in hell unwrapping these things. NO thought was given to the buyer's convenience. Even with sharp industrial shears, it is VERY difficult to remove from the packaging. I would not buy another for that reason alone. In fact, the one I received already had half the package cut away as if someone had given it up and returned it rather than bloody his fingers.

I already owned one but had the need for another. I have not found anything in the market which offers the flexibility that this product does.
