Cutters Review The Best Can Opener
Easy to use, great warrantee. Light years from other can openers

Cutters Review "5-year" warranty? How 'bout 28 years?
Yep, the 1978-vintage original from college is still kickin'.

Of course there are now others for the lake house a couple for camping, the cars, etc. Who knows how many I've given as gifts over the years, happy in the knowledge that they'll replace whatever cheap junk the recipient now uses and last forever doing their job.

One of the most durable, high-performance purchases ever.

Cutters Review Wonderful!
This can opener is super smooth! I will never waste my money on cheap can openers again! I've had to throw away several cheap can openers in the past 6 months because they weren't sturdy enough. I would definitely recommend this one.

Cutters Review Swing Away Wall Can Opener
It's the best. I ordered two to replace the two that had worn out (but only after years of faithful service) . . . One for my home and one for our summer hideaway.

This made me think what a great (practical) gift this would make
. . . included with it some canned goods for the newly weds . . . they'd thank me some day. :)

Cutters Review WONDERFUL!!!
I have arthritis in my wrists and thumbs - turning a regular handle on a manual opener is PAINFUL and electric openers break or can't handle every size can. This opener does it all. The crank handle is perfect!

Cutters Review Mr. C. Rollison
I have used this product for years and was elated to find a replacement for it when my old one was final worn out.

Cutters Review This is the FINEST
Hooray for me. I must have got the last one on Amazon. Just used it a few days ago. I am a 5'4 female and was able to handle it no problem. Now for the best-This REALLY does move large amounts of snow off the roof, fast, effecient and it does not fall on you. Goes right down the plastic. The first snow I tried it on was very wet and heavy. Will probable be a breeze w/the lighter stuff. I still can't believe it works as well as it does. Even if you can't find one on sale, Pay the 99.00 and rejoice.

Cutters Review Avalanche parts
Parts can be ordered from the Avalanche company, located in Plymouth, Minnesota. Their number is 1-800-378-3088. Hope this helps you up in Michigan, Fritz!

Cutters Review Part needed
I am a 67 year old male who lives in the snow country of the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. Our snow fall has exceeded 195 inches to date and I have had to remove snow from the roofs of our home and garage twice. The Avalanche make this easy. However, I have a problem. I need to replace the plastic slide sheets on each of my avalanches (I own two) as they are badly torn because of excessive use. My avalanches are the true originals. The plastic slide sheets are 21 3/4 inches wide and I have had no success in finding replacements. I would appreciate any assistance I can get in locating slide sheets with this dimension. Other than this problem, the Avalanche is a wonderful snow removal tool.

Cutters Review Little saw: big results
This saw works great! It's small and compact (folds up), but cuts almost like butter through branches 3 or 4 inches in diameter. When my ratchet pruners are not sufficient, the little saw does the job. I can put it in my pocket. I am really pleased with this purchase.

Cutters Review Portable, light weight, effective
I purchase a saw to fit in a small toolbox on a small tractor / riding mower. I keep it with me to cut branches that grow low. (You know the kind that hit you in the head when out mowing the grass). Now I stop (hopefully before getting hit with an un-seen branch) and cut off the culprit. Its small enough with a tight enough blade pitch to cut small branches, and large enough to cut branches as large as about 1-3" before you'll want a bow saw or the like. It folds small enough to safely carry in your pocket while also hand carrying a large pruner or other tools.

Cutters Review love it
I bought this because I mixed up the brand name of what I was actually looking for, but I found it to be excellent for what I need. It fits in my bucket with all my other garden tools and it's the only saw I have that I can stick in my back pocket. Great product, I would recommend it as a must have item.

Cutters Review Reel-type Lawn Mower Sharpener
Easy to use and very competively priced. The only drawback was keeping the crank on the pinon gear. It tended to slip off. Of course that could have been an opperator problem.

Cutters Review Mower's nice and sharp
I wasn't too sure about this product before I ordered it. It seemed goofy to paint my blades to sharpen them but lo and behold it worked. My mower works a ton better now and makes for a very good cut. I was also unsure of whether this kit would work for my Sears Reel Mower (would the handle fit and the blade adjusting instructions work?) and it did. However, since the kit didn't jump out of the box and sharpen the mower for me, I can only give it 4 stars.

Cutters Review SK-1 Reel Mower Sharpening Kit
It showed up fast. Didn't take long at all. It was packaged good and came in great condition. The sharpening kit performed great. I sharpened the mower in no time. The directions were easy and to the point. I am very pleased with this product and would recommend it to anyone who has a mower and wants to sharpen it the easy way instead of a file or taking it in and paying a lot of money to have it done.

Cutters Review Fiskars UltraBlade Lopper
This item does a fine cutting job on up to at least 4 inch thick brush. The blade is very sharp and cuts through well. I am a woman and find it a little difficult due to the weight and necessity to open the handles to their fullest extent in order to make cuts. It becomes very tiring when working for a long time.
I do recommend it for thick brush due to the cutting abilty of the blade.

Cutters Review Solid lopper
Very easy to use with it's Power Lever. I cut 2 inch branch with little effort. Very sharp blade! This one is a keeper!!!

Cutters Review Great Lopper for the price
I chose this lopper because of its 2" branch capacity and "Power-Lever" action, and I'm generally quite pleased with it. The fiberglass handles make it very lightweight, and it rarely has problems cutting anything that will fit within the blades. My only gripe is that you really have to extend the handles before you can fully open the blades, and this can sometimes limit your ability to get to certain branches. This is to be expected with any lever system, though the power benefit outweighs this complaint. Overall, this was a great deal through Amazon.

Cutters Review Best tool for cutting laminate edge strips
This was my first attempt to do laminate work. This tool made the job very easy and the results looked like a professional did it.

Cutters Review Virutex Plastic Laminate Slitter
Easy to set, and use. A real time, and material saver. If your
just building Top's, Refaceing cabinets, it's well worth the cost
to have one. You will get perfectly straight, and true cuts with
this tool.

Cutters Review Very ingenious, time saver
I learned to cut laminate on the table saw...that works fine, kind of tricky. This thing makes great, long or short perfect laminate strips for edging typically. The edge is clean enough to use as cut to butt another laminate piece.

If you ever do laminating, the work is not the big piece but all the little pieces, and this tool is great for making all those strips.

Cutters Review Favorite tool, almost
End cuting pliers are one of the most useful tools on the planet. Someone needs to give them a better name, something a little sexier. I use mine mostly for pulling nails - they're the only way to go.

Cutters Review The Persuader
This is an excellent tool.

I have two sizes, but use the 8" most often. It works well to pull nails, cut wires, nibble metal, and bend, break, cut, or remove all manner of materials.

The nipper gets into tight spots to pull nails when a hammer or pry bar won't fit.

I used this tool last night. I was removing an old fireplace for a basement remodelling project. I used it to pull nails from the wooden framing. Then I cut the thick wire in the reinforced fabric ducting connected to the blower assemblies. I used it to cut the 12 gauge Romex to the blower (diag cutters or lineman's pliers may be the purist' choice-but I had this tool in hand...)Finally, I used it to bend sharp, nasty sheet metal edges into less dangerous shapes/positions when I was ready to carry the firebox outside.

I have also used it in the past to grab rounded screw heads and extract them.

Dependable tool. Frequently and successfully used. Highly recommended.

Cutters Review Hard to find but great to use
These are the best cutters for cutting copper and tin coated copper cable with out flatening out the wire. I cut cable up to .5" with these and I have to braze or micro weld them together and most cutters flaten out the wire making it very diffecult to get a good weld. These cutters have a special curved cutting edge and they cut from all sides. If you work in a wire mill and run the big cable; than these are the cutters for you!

Cutters Review Disappointed expectations
I love good hand tools and have bought and inherited many of the best. After much shopping research, it appeared that this Corona Clipper 37" Professional Super Duty Bypass Lopper would be a great addition to my tool collection. Unfortunately, I can give it only two stars for being ruggedly built and having a good sharp blade, because the performance has been a disappointment.
Recently, I've been trimming a lot of trees, (honey locust, cottonwood, silver maple, and oak) and I found that the lopper took a good deal of force to trim off small diameter limbs (<3"). For several weekends, I worked on these trees (14 trailer loads of brush and limbs) and I kept trying out the lopper. Though I am above average in strength, I found that I was doing much more work than the lopper was doing.
I just now came out the yard after attacking some 25 year old Manhattan Euonymus bushes. They were very over-grown and 10 feet tall. Some of the base vines were over 3" diameter. I wiggled my way into the tangled mess with my Corona lopper and found out quickly that this was the wrong tool to cut the base vines. To open the blade jaw, even for a small diameter cut, required that the handles spread open very wide, too wide for the tight quarters I was in. So I pulled out some old loppers I had, Fiskars 24" geared action. It did the job well. After pulling out the vine/limbs, I decided to test the cutting force of the Corona versus the Fiskars. The Fiskars required less effort to cut through the same limb. That's when I decided to write this review.
The Corona product has good quality materials, but the design is a dinosaur for effective cutting.

Cutters Review Heavy-duty, effective and efficient
I've been using these loppers for a year and a half. They are enourmously more effective than any loppers at $40-50. Pricey, yes, but worth every penny.
The blade is of ultra-high quality steel, and so sharp, you would think you could shave with it. In fact, if you have kids, you'd better take care to keep them away from this tool.
The handles are tough and show no signs of weakening or cracking, despite dreadfully heavy use.
The manufacturer's rating on the maximum branch diameter is modest. In fact, you can cut much thicker branches with this unit - with ease. My use of a small chain-saw has dropped to nil.
The clippers are heavier than any I've used before. You notice the weight after a while. But, the speed and ease of cutting makes up for that.
I've found that storage can be a little tricky. When you hang the clippers, they have a tendency to swing open - and you -really- don't want that to happen with something this sharp. It takes a little playing to find out how to hang them securely (using the manufacturer-provided metal ring, and your own loop of rope).

This is a tremendously valuable tool. If you want the best, I believe these Corona clippers may be it. But, of course, you'll pay for it. In this case, however, I believe I've got everything I paid for, so I can give full marks in the rating of these clippers.

Cutters Review Great loppers
I purchased a pair of these loppers several years ago for $150 and have used them for over 100 hours of work. Compared to a $40 pair of loppers which I purchased with a "lifetime warranty" and then bent the same afternoon, these loppers are wonderful. The hardened steel is extremely hard and around 1/4" thick -- I cannot imagine what it would take to make the steel fail on these loppers. As far as the handles go, I did eventually manage to break one of the handles after a couple years which I replaced with a custom-made handle fabricated from oak and some angle iron. These loppers slice through green wood like butter. The problems I've had with the handle originated from cutting through a dry branch which had been down on the ground. While these loppers are not unbreakable, they are by far the toughest loppers I have come across.
