When small is betterI am replacing nails that were used to secure the boards on my deck. The nail line is directly under the bottom 2x4 of the side rail with barely 4 inches of clearance. Viola, this drill with a stubby bit and a 2 1/2 inch deck screw makes a difficult job easy.
Solid right angle drillPros: Makita drill has plenty of torque, nice balance and really good quality feel, very good battery life, solid construction compared to its competitors
Con: only complaint is I wish it came with a backup battery

Fantastic for flooringI'm a homeowner that is remodeling my entire house. I just finished tearing up 750 sq ft of tile and wood flooring with the Makita and it works great. It was recommended to me by my tile contractor, who uses it in everyday work, so my guess would be that it will hold up to professional use and abuse. I really don't have anything negative to say about it at all, except that it should come with a set of tips, which cost me an extra $50 to obtain.
Great for flooring!

Lighter In Weight to Hold, Heavy Duty for WorkMy husband and I purchased this Makita demolition hammer after renting several different brands from local rental shops. We found the Makita to be economical to purchase, lighter in weight to hold for longer periods of time but also heavy duty enough for continous work over a period of several hours in removing ceramic tile in our single family home. We attempted to purchase this model from a local rental store with attachments and found that we saved several hundred dollars in the quoted price when buying the hammer through Amazon.com. We did check locally and this Makita model was not found at any of our local homestores but we believe it to be an excellent choice. My husband and I are using the Makita Demolition Hammer with a 4 1/2inch tile chipping blade and a separate sharp 6 inch long blade (with removable handle) to take up the white mastic in our single family home. We have finished 1/2 of the job and are very pleased with this product.

Makita HM1500 Deomolition HammerThis demolition hammer quickly broke through a cement, basement floor using the pick bit. With the spade bit, it cut through impacted, dense, clay earth.
It made the job easier and go much faster. Even though the hammer only weighs 37Lbs. With the pick or spade bits, it probably weighs another 10-15lbs.
The other notable feature about this tool is that the lighter weight, compared to some of the other jack hammers, and side mounted handle, allow for this hammer to be used for horizontal work as well.
Overall a solid piece of equipment. Reliable and performs as was intended. Comes with a heavy-duty metal carrying box, which has room to store several picks and a pair of gloves.

Simply this best!Makita has done it again! I bought this tool based on my history of good results with Makita tools. I was not dissappointed. This HM1810 chews through concrete like butter, and with very little vibration felt in the handle. It seems quiet for what it is doing. This is positively a heavy hitting "secret weapon," if you work in concrete.

Great screwdriver from decking I purchased this screwdriver for the main purpose of laying deck boards. It work smoothing and is a very quick screwdriver. It takes some a little time to get the hang of it but not long and when you do you can lay down a lot a screws in a short period. I've never had any problems with Milwaukee, and would recommend it over any other brand. Wish it came in a case but that is the only negative I hve for this purchase.
Power to Burn!...This Milwaukee driver is perfect! If you are looking for real power, this is the driver! Hit the trigger, and it will almost twist your wrist. A very versatile tool, it will dimple drywall with zero damage, yet drive a screw (3 1/2") into 75+ year old studs without hesitation. The adjustment is able to change drop-off depths by 1/64". Once you set it up, it never changes. Changing bits is easy, too. The whole nose snaps off to change bits, and you don't lose your adjustment. This is one of my favorite features since my former drywall gun nose piece had to be screwed off to change bits, then readjusted. I was a little concerned about the low max RPM (2500 RPM). (Must be a guy thing!) This is more than enough speed. The trigger is very sensitive to pressure, so speed can be regulated easy. As usual, Milwaukee Tools are the best! The only drawback was delivery, not the tool. I ordered it on June 28th, and received it August 9th. Order it before you need it ...

An excellent tool for your toolboxThis is my first replacement cordless for my venerable Makita 7.2V drill that I have used daily for 6 years. I needed something with more power and the fact that it is a hammerdrill is just the icing on the cake. With one drill I can replace 2 tools! The power is in a word - astonishing. Unless you absolutely must have 18 Volt power (or want the ability to use the same battery pack with different tools) this is the one to have. Highly recommended and less pricey than Dewalt to boot!

Fantastic DrillI recently purchased the 14.4 Milwaukee Lok-Tor drill via the internet for $150. After having used it three times, I would have paid considerably more knowing what I know now. The drill has tremendous power (more than my previous 18 volt drill), has excellent balance (feels like a drill should), provides excellent control, and shows quality throughout. I had checked out other drills at the local hardware stores and had narrowed my choices to Milwaukee and Bosch. I finally chose the Milwaukee because of the higher torque, longer battery life, and a better warranty.

Excellent Drill. Feels solid, a lot of power and features.I havn't tried the radio as of yet and will actually just sell it, so no comment there.
The drill on the other hand has been working great. Most impressive is the keyless chuck tightening system. Easy in and out between bits cuts time in half. Literally 5 seconds to go from flat to phillips. It makes this "clicking" sound when it tightens, just a few and you are good to go. I have not yet have a drill bit slip and they're circular. There are 2 speeds, the trigger itself acts as a throttle, press all the way for full speed. The battery is reversible, so that you may fit into tighter spaces. Of course the hammer drill option is awesome (all my walls are concrete, I barely deal with wood).
I really love this thing. Granted this is the first drill I own, I have used many and this one feels great.
