Hammers Review Milwaukee shines again!
I purchased this combo set about 5 weeks ago. I am remodeling my garage/shop and I have used every piece of this combo set - and it works fantastic. The hammer/drill eats through masonry like it is wood. In record time. I have used the circ saw to cut full sheets of 1/4 ply-wood and 1/4 inch peg board. It is accurate and fast (although the charge drops significantly when using this tool). The batteries charge quickly and hold a charge for a while. The light had been great and is very bright. And, of course the recip saw is Milwaukee's trade mark. It is the best tool made by Milwaukee (which are all great in my opinion). I would highly recommend this product and best of all is is compatible with the new 24v lithium ion batteries just released a few months ago by Milwaukee.

Hammers Review Dedicated to it's job.
Although this tool is some what limited in use it performs excellent for the purpose it was designed for. I have used this tool to drill and tap many holes in machine bases and bolster plates that were too large or could not be moved to a drill press. With a good lay out job and heavy center punch you can accurately place the Mag Drill on center each time. The base of the tool is also a de-magnetizer for easy removal of chips and clean up.

Hammers Review bosch -vs-milwaukee
I could find no reviews on the miwaukee 1-1/2 #5315 roto hammer
so I was at a face off beteen the bosch 11241evs and 5315 milwaukee. Everyone in the business knows that bosch has made the industry standard in rotory hammers for years, but Milwaukee
has recently released this line of rotary hammers in attempt to
catch bosch.

I have used the 11241evs as a rental on a few ocasions and it is awesome. I took the chance on the milwaukee because of a five
year history of using their tools with extreme satisfaction.

Heres the scoop: I was doing an earthqauke retro fit and drilling 3/4 by 12 inch deep holes, I drilled over 50 holes in 60 year old concrete, I was very impressed that after drilling
10 consecutive holes the tool was barely warm! The effort on my
part was non existent, vibration was not at all aparent, I was simply holding the tool in place. I was really blown away at the absolute lack of effort the tool drilled these holes with.

The bosch also performs similar but seems to require a bit more effort, the milwaukee has more than an entire foot pound more of blow energy. The weight and balance of the milwaukee vs bosch
are very similar.

I absolutely love the quick lock cord on the milwaukee as storage is super easy and the replacement of the cord will never be an issue.

In hammer only mode with a bull point chisel I broke up a 4 inch thick concret slab, it hammers thru brick and block with absolute ease.

I spent $... dollars on an 1-9/16 x 21- four cutter hammer bit just to see how this tool could handle itself at max capacity, again I was blown away it drilled down 17 inches in seconds like it was going thru mud, no effort on my part no vibration no heat on the tool afterward. I would say this tool is good for all day drilling of up to one inch holes.

Downside, the power and service lights are barely visible unless your in a dark room.

I highly recomend this tool, I have milwaukee tools from five years ago that have operated for thousands of hours and are still going like new, spend the money you'll be thrilled.

Hammers Review What an awesome investment!!!
I am a handyman/ and I do alot of remodeling. I was doing alot of jobs that called for a hammer drill. I finally broke down and purchased one on a clearence sale. The Milwaukee SDS Rotary hammer drill. I believe that the manufacturor has underated this tool. It has three modes; drill, hammer drill and chisel. The chisel mode has multiple positions when you use the mode selector switch. The manufactor states that when your in chisel mode it will handle light chiseling. I beg to differ. I was remodeling an old bathroom that had 3 inch poured floors with set in porcelin tile. I watched as my partner with all his might and a hammer sweated through a short session of demo. I told him when he got tired to let me know. I got out the hammer drill and selected chisel mode. It took only minutes to demo the floor. The hammer drill punched through the floor like a hot knife through butter. We starred at the broken up floor with amazment. I had no sore muscles or banged up hands. I have used it for other jobs involving hardened bloch that I could barely chip with a small sledge hammer and the hammer drill tore through it without hesitation. The drill mode has alot of torque for those heavy drilling applications like landscape beams. There is a convertor chuck that allows you to use normal shank bits. Do not use cheap mason bits this drill will eat them up. The drill is capable of drilling a 4 inch diameter core hole in concrete. Now for the small complaint I have is; I am left handed and when I use the accessary handle it doesn't allow me to tighten it down without hitting the locking nut. (Really not worth complaining about. This is as valuable as a sawzall is to a remodelor.

Hammers Review Best bet for medium size roto hammer
After 20 years of using roto hammers from a number of brands the Milwaukee Hawk is a real treat. Light weight, easy on the hands and wrists the Hawk is my choice for a medium duty / size roto hammer. I don't know how they make so much power vibrate so little and drill so fast. For holes from 3/16 to 1 inch there is no competition.

Hammers Review Light Weight
The Milwaukke hawk is a great rotary hammer. It is light weight and easy on your hands when using it just about all day. This drill has lots of power and the power transfer from the drill to the bit is great hardly no effort to start a hole the bits do not walk. This is a GREAT drill for mid size hole.

Hammers Review Milwaukee Outdrills the Rest
I've had occasion to use many different hammer drills, but I always come back to this one as my favorite. It's lightweight, compact, and has the construction that Milwaukee is famous for. Even though it's smaller than most, it outperforms every 1/2" hammer drill I've ever used. There's not another 3/8" hammer drill that belongs in the same category. This is a heavy duty, professional grade tool that won't let you down no matter what you throw at it.

Hammers Review 12 Years and Still Going Strong!!
I bought this little sander when I first began contracting more than 12 years ago. The thing is still going strong. Sheet changes are a snap with the front and rear levers. The sander fits comfortably in your hand for long sessions on drywall and furniture. You name the job and its likely that this little sander can tackle it. It's taken years of abuse and neglect. Like they used to say about Timex watches, this Milwaukee sander "takes a lickin' and keeps on ticken'." Unlike the unfortunate reviewer below, I have never had a problem with any of my Milwaukee tools. In fact, I've never had a problem with any contractor-quality tool I've ever purchased (Milwaukee, Bosch, Makita, etc.) Like many purchases, personal preference seems to ranks high in tool selection. I just happen to be partial to Milwaukee and this 1/4 sheet sander is one of the reasons why. Overall grade? A+.

Hammers Review Another great Milwaukee product
This saw is a great product. There are only two drawbacks but they are minimal. One, the maximum cutting depth is 3 1/2 inches compared to the other models at 4 3/4, however the cutting width is 4 1/2 inches so if your good you can cut things as big around as 5 or 6 inches if you roatate the stock. Second, this tool is not equipped with a variable speed trigger. It is two speeds, controlled by a seperate switch. Overall though it is an excellent heavy duty saw. Easy to use and fairly light weight under 20 lbs. to lift and cut, with easy to use front handle for great control. I used it to cut 2/0 service cable at about shoulder level worked really great!!

Hammers Review The Professional Portable Bandsaw
Milwaukee definitely holds the market on this specialty tool. The Deep Cut bandsaw makes it the ideal way to cut pipe, and the weight (as it has a casted shell) does the work for you! There is no comparing the quality and the legnth of life this tool can give you.

I recommend Milwaukee blades, as well. I have tried the PC blades, and those made by Morse and Starrett and have found none to even come close to matching the quality of the Milwaukee.

This is a tool that is built to last, and when it does need servicing, it always comes back to me like new.
