john's dewalt 532 rotary hammer review
THE REAL WORKERS
- Limited warranty, 30-day no-risk trial

Good Unitis however a bit on the hefty side and does not have an attachment location for keeping a screwdriver bit. This can be inconvenient for some applications. Overall a well made and reliable tool. It has come in handy for many jobs already, and I have only had it for a few months.
Top of the Line

- quik-lok chuck system
- 6.8 amp motor - 0-880 RPM and 0-4,100 bpm

List price: $452.79 (that's NaN% off!)

Brutally Effective! The hammering mechanism is brutally effective in drilling through concrete, delivering powerful blows that literalily destroys the concrete.
On the downside however, there are three (3) minor problems that I have encountered:
1. The trigger speed control is a bit tricky, i.e. there is considerable trigger travel before rotation starts, but from start to full speed there is little travel making control a bit difficult.
2. There is noticeable wobbling of the drill bit even when the 3-jaw chuck is employed, this tends to expand hole size.
3.The jaw chuck cannot be or is not recomended for use in hammering mode. This eliminates the use of straight shank hammer bits that the Bosch chuck allows.
However, I would recomend this tool based on its overall performance.

Well balanced claw hammer
Yup, this is a hammer alright. The rubber handle means it won't slip out of your hands as easily as wood.
Also, it's yellow, so if you throw it at an animal that's running through tall grass, it's way easier to find than if it were just brown.
I've hammered lots of nails with this hammer, and it just keeps hammering.

So I own a few hammersWhich brings us to this hammer... is it my favorite hammer... no, do I grab it first, no, does it even get the honored spot of being in my tool belt most of the time? Again, no. That said, will it drive nails and nail sets and pound on my wrecking bars without putting nice waffle prints everywhere? Most definately. Is there something to the anti-vibe magic? I think so. I don't think it's as good at dampening the vibration as a nice hickory handle, but it's better than most hammers with steel or fiberglass handles. And will it hold up better? Especially if you aren't the most experienced at hitting what you are aiming at? Most definitely.
Conlusion if you need a hammer that doesn't make waffles this should be one of your candidates.
A must have!hammer I own so far. A must for every toolbox!

- Non-sparking, no exposed metal
- Soft face does not mar surface or equipment
- Dead blow function uses steel shot
- Steel reinforced handle

just another tool geekStanley does make dead-blow ball pein hammers but they're very hard to find.
And yes, we can get them here in California. (you don't even have to order avocado with it, dude ;-)
Best Assembly Hammer for Woodworking and etc. There is loose shot in oil in the head which hits the hammer just after the hammer hits the work, offsetting the reaction. The dead blow action keeps the hammer from bouncing, which makes it alot easier on your wrist. You get more movement from a lighter blow with this hammer, as the hammer tends to follow the workpiece's direction of travel. A great tool, but I hear you can't buy one in California.
