I've used the aluminum square for the same reason as other reviews. I was a rough carpenter, finish carpenter, cabinetmaker for a long time. Just getting into furniture making. I was trying to square up a new combination miter saw and couldn't get it quite square to the fence. I even used brass shims and couldn't get better than .06".
Finally, I took the square and drew a line across a piece of 16" ply. Then I flipped it and tried to draw over the same line. What I found was, the ends of the square, after years of drawing lines and using as a straight edge and cutting guide had worn off and were slightly rounded. Still, after 15 years of good service, I am ordering another today.

I like steel. It's tough and cheap. It makes life better. But I don't like steel framing squares. They rust and rust doesn't make life better. I like aluminum far more. In 5 years you'll be glad you bought an aluminum square instead.

This is one of the two standard ripping claw hammers in my high school woodshop, and all I can say its simply the best. Its light so you the tool will less of burden to your arm and I can feel the decreased recoil when nailing a in a nail with this hammer, compared to the an old completely wooden or steel handle barred hammer which our teacher gives us when this popular hammer is taken as it often is. And its not just the decreased recoil, the rubber grip, give you a nice smith handle on the hammer. And although you shouldn't do students have also swung this hammer against another hammer swung by another student and still nothing breaks and its as good as new while the wooden ones can't take the strain and break and the completely steel ones bend. And if you want a hammer to last this is the one, cause it has taken beatings by my fellow woodshop students from constantly hitting blocks of metal, to drowning in in water (steel rusts with water), and much more but still this tool looks and functions like normal. So overall the extra bit of cost for this hammer is definitly worth it if you want a good quality long lasting hammer.

Lives up to the expectations I had from trying other MaxGrip tools. Very comfortable, and very solid. The 6" version is more like a standard pliers, this one is for somewhat larger jobs.

I bought both the 6" and the 8" after my 8" pair was lost, and am extremely happy with them. The self-adjusting part of these pliers is very cool. But the grip and the comfort are outstanding. After using these I would regret having to use my cold metal set. The rubberized handles give cushion and grip and the bite is outstanding. The unusual shape gives me the ability to add more pressure than the standard sets I have and used. I obviously have been won over by these an am looking at the other Stanley hand tools.

These have an excellent grip. The biting part of the tool is made of several layers of metal, all bolted together. Combine that with a soft rubber grip, and you have some awsome grabbing power. Plus, they are self adjusting, so no need to use the other hand to open them up to a larger size. I have had my set for a few years, and wouldnt trade them for anything. Buy these pliers, and you will throw your old slip-joint pliers away.

WOW. enough said...but i'll still say more. They are great. They have a good hand grip, strong hold on whatever you are pliering, and even have a handy wirecutter that i wasn't expecting. If you have small hands i'd sugest a smaller one though because these are quite big, i like the size though.

These needle-nose pliers are just the thing when you need something with more "grip" than standard needle-nose have. The deeply serrated jaws automatically adjust to the size of what you're grabbing. They also remain parallel up to certain opening width. There's also a similar model with a nutgripping jaw.

These pliers really fit your hand well. Very comfortable and secure grip, and the bend in the handle puts your arm in a more natural position. This tool and their contractor's utility knife have sold me on their line of hand tools.

I really like the size grip and over all design of these pliers and would recommend them without hesitation.

I have been in drywall for over 12 years now. I have not seen it all, but almost. The Stanley boys (and girls) did a good job with this one. I have bought and used a few dozen of these and never seem to wear them out. However, they do seem to always get stolen or borrowed without return. I only wonder why. Thanks Stanely for another great product that is also affordable and durable, take it from a pro. I'd give it 6 stars, but Amazon only offered 5.

If you are tempted to buy a plastic pan to save a few bucks, don't do it. This one will save you time and frustration. It will outlast several of the cheapies and you will be happier using it. It's much easier to clean . It cleans your knife much better. It's a whole lot tougher. The advantages are many, the disadvantages are few. Buy it.

Every now and then a tool comes along that is so much better than those with similar function, you can't believe it can be so good. The MaxGrip is such a tool. Once you use it, it will be the crescent you use 99% of the time. It has a bulldog grip with parallel jaws, unlike vise grips. It will not harm the nut or bolt flats. It is ideal for one man jobs, in that you can lock it on a nut and then turn the bolt without the hassle of the nut holding wrench falling off. It even works for holding small parts for drilling or other types of work... better than a drill vice. Why did it take so long for it to be developed... as usual it looks simple once you use it, and makes many nasty jobs much easier. I am sure it won't be long before Stanley comes out with the whole range of MaxGrip crescents, from 4 inches to 36 inches... it is a winner!

This is the best adjustable wrench I have ever used. We carry adjustable wrenches in all of our tractors and trucks(11) and full toolboxes in the pickups, but this is the tool we all reach for. It offers all the advantages of other adjustable wrenches, such as always having the right size whether metric or emglish. However, it never slips. Simply lock the handle and turn. I use it instead of open and box end on rounded and rusty bolts because it WILL NOT SLIP. No more busted knuckels and cutting bolts because all the corners are rounded off. If you have 2 sides left on a nut, this wrench will work. My only complaint is that they don't offer it in 12" and 15" versions.

If you don't need a wrench for big jobs, maybe some small things around an apartment, this is ideal. Storing it isn't a problem, and it's very handy.

Compared to other adjustable wrenches near this price. This is one is hard to beat. The handle is a major point it's round and fits in the hand without the feel of the standard flat wrench, plus the rubber grip helps really apply torque.

No other hand cleaner out there comes close to this. Leaves no smell on your hands either. Only problem is I can't get it in the store.

As a diesel mechanic I can tell you unequivically that I have never found a better cleaner than Kresto Select. The crushed walnut hulls scruff awesome try it and you'll see.
