This hammer is awesome! I can use it to nail something if I want, and this pounds it in with good force, but it's good for so much more. When I need to find a stud, I whip it out, and hit the wall until I hear the stud on the other side. The claw can pull nails too. I love the feel of the handle in my hand. The rubber has a comfortable feel, and I can really get a good grip on the handle. Nobody ever picks a fight with someone who is holding a hammer. I have one in my car too. Be very careful though. If you hit your finger with it when you're swinging, it will hurt a lot. Make sure your aim is true and keep your swinging velocity at a safe level. I LOVE hammers. This hammer made an excellent addition to my collection. So if you have this hammer, you know how I feel, and it is a part of you. If you don't have a hammer yet, buy this one. It will become something very special you will cherish for a very long time.

Until Douglas hammers came along, this hammer was without peer for framing and general carpentry. And it still is in the value department, as Douglas costs 2 1/2 times as much.

Caveat: I've never been a fan of the 'California' style, fat, squat head. Or curved, 'axe' style handles. Or macho 32 oz. heads for framing. Or mega bucks titanium that you're not supposed to smack a cat's paw with. I prefer the feel of a wood handle, but (except for the Douglas design) they break to easily to be practical.

You can yank and reef on the FS999ML's fiberglass handle all day, and it's the nicest feeling non-wood handle I've used. The hammer's weight, balance and feel is near perfect. Not much else to say. Unless you already know your favorite hammer is something else, this is the one to get. Peace.

... I got carpal tunnel in both hands many years ago and had surgery to fix it. The surgery worked, but my hand strength has never been back to 100% of what it was. I tire out easily, and don't have the force necessary to really dig in the garden. These nifty tools, which I saw several years ago ...and then couldn't find again, really work great! Make your large arm muscles take the brunt of digging in the dirt.

This is the best tool for tempory clamping of items to be welded drilled,or bonded up to 5" across clamped area.

...I would like to find spring kits for my six pair I use all the time at my work I have not been able to find a dealer in Phoenix who carries the springs. Any help welcome.

This new tool is extemely useful for handling bolts and nuts of different sizes, including stubborn nuts with deformed heads. Very high quality, as usual with VISE-GRIP products. If you w'ont lose it-you can use it for life! highly recomanded.

I have and used many multi-tools and never thought I would call these 4 inch vise grips one. If you use tools they are perfect to have in your pocket while doing work or out on a job. They're great for: pulling out nails and staples, using on any size nut or bolt (they even grip well on rusted or rounded out ones), holding or starting screws in hard to reach areas and the list goes on. Out of all the tools I have and use I reach for these the most. Probably becuase it helps that they're so small and light I always have them in my pocket. I'm writing this review because I'm just purchasing another one at Amazon to have as a back up. You can't get this small size easily, not even at Home Depot.

They are light weight. Easy to install and handle . Safer to handle than older style steel ladder jacks. Feel very stable when in use. I am very satisfied with this product.

I purchased this item at $75 based upon recommendations from others who were extremely satisfied. First of all, this is a tiny hatchet, however, it is the finest made hatchet I have ever used. Gone are the days of toiling with cheaper sub-par equipment. I hesitated at the price initially, but it has been well worth it. At this price ($50) it is a steal. But watch out this axe is razor sharp (yes, you can shave with it) so watch your fingers. It comes with a comprehensive users guide and a full leather sheath. It is perfect for kindling, and can even be used as a spatula. It should be in every outdoorsman's collection.

This will never replace a large toolbox full of professional goodies, but it is compact, stores all the sockets conveniently in the magnetic holders, is fairly heavy-duty and seems largely indestructible. I bought one to carry in the saddlebag of my bike, and use it at the drop of a hat... I find myself rummaging through my saddlebag to get the Wilton for non-motorcycle projects, rather then my normal socket set most of the time. Highly recommend for carrying when storage space is at a premium, but you still want to have a full-sized tool.

I have owned these snips for over 10 years and they have served me well in many home renovation and construction projects. As old as they are, the grips are still comfortable and they are still sharp... and nowhere near ready for the trash bin!

I highly recommend this tool.
