love it!I just love the new xti< It's built like a tank, (titanium baby!!) the tools are easy to use, and are holding up well in hard use. I have the leather sheath, a little stiff at first but real nice. you can keep the xti open and it will still fit in the sheath. the extra tools fit in the sheath as well.

Leatherman Core is excellentI own a furniture restoration company and most of my work is on the field doing onsite refinishing and or general repairs. I've owned many Leatherman's as well as the Victorinox multitool. When I purchased the Victorinox I did so because of the way it's designed and because of the wood chisel on it. The funny thing about carrying it is that I rearly use it. I always reached for the Leatherman Super tool instead. Even though the Victorinox is designed better the Leatherman Super tool was my tool of choice. From time to time I leave my tool in a customer's home & of course they almost never admit that they have it so I'm stuck purchasing a new one. The last time I had to replace my Super tool I ran across the Leatherman Core which is a new tool that Leather has just put out. The Core is a supped up Super Tool. When I received this New Leatherman Core I was in love. It is the most handy tool I've ever used. This is a tool that you have to train yourself to use for just about every application you can think of. Otherwise you forget that it can take care of certain problems and you find yourself reaching for something else. I use mine for screwing in screws to cutting open boxes and or envelopes, prying things open, pulling staples for upholstery work, fixing jewelry, etc. My father has 2 because he uses one for fishing. I take mine everywhere including vacation. No man should be without this tool even if you are not a handy individual. This is a great gift to give someone especially if you have their name engraved on it. If anything goes wrong with this tool you have a 25 year warranty with no questions asked. Just go to WWW.leatherman.com and navigate to customer service and you will find the address to ship it back to. Don't be surprised if they decide not to fix your Core & just ship you a brand new one. You homeowners out their know how important it is to have good tools laying around. I've also had repairmen come to my home and be impressed with this tool. They've all seen it but they never purchased one. If the repairman is doing a big job for me and he does a really good job, I purchase one for him and give it to him as a tip. Try it & you'll be hooked to.

Great ToolI own both the Wave and PST II. Whenever I am doing a job I like to use the Wave because it is stronger and has more tools. The three locking blades and file are accessible without unfolding the tool. The rounded edges on the handle are much more comfortable when using the pliers.
The Wave is a little bigger and heavier than the PST II, so I tend to leave it off my belt for everyday use in favor of the PST II, but if it was the only one I had, I'd happily wear it everywhere.
The knife blades, screwdrivers, pliers, wire cutters, strippers, and especially the scissors are very convenient, handy, and work well. Since the blades are independent of the other tools (and they lock), this is a safer tool than some of the other Leatherman wannabe's.
My only complaint, and this covers the Wave and PST II, is the can opener. For some reason they make it thick and put the bevel on the wrong side (at least if you are right-handed and cut turning CW). It works, but it makes a sloppy cut. I like the can opener on my Swiss Army knife much better.
I had to use the warranty once and it was a quick and totally satisfying experience. I broke the pliers and they replaced the tool with a brand new one (PST II). Don't waste your money on a cheap knock-off. In my opinion, you can't go wrong with a Leatherman. They are very well built and worth the money.

Leatherman Charge XTi ReviewThis is a brilliant tool from Leatherman. You can get the specs from leatherman themselves, but the main highlights which you cannot get with other knives are the stainless high carbon blade, which stays sharper for longer and is easy to sharpen. The serated blade is very useful for cutting ropes etc and the cutting hook is very useful for cutting string... without having to open a blade. The bronze bushes make for an extremely easy opening of the blade - very smooth and they dont get clogged up. The wire cutters are good, but I have seen better ones on actual wire cutters. I love the interchangable bits on the screwdrivers, and the mini screw bits have been useful countless times, especially on glasses. I think leatherman's idea of having a quick release part is wonderful, really useful. Only problem with the clip you can put in the quick release hole is that the knife opens when you run.

Perfect for what it was designed for, and then someNite Ize started out as a company that specilized in accessories for the Mini Maglite, and since I myself own several such lights which Nite Ize products have imrpoved and customized to whatever I may use them for. Their LED adapter alone could bring an old Mag back to life or retrofit an economic flashlight for enhanced performance. But one part of Nite Ize I never went near was their extensive line of hosters for phones and tools, and lights of course. These have a large following in the outdoors and hunting public. I already had a holster for every little tool I have, so I felt that kind of thing was overkill. But when my newly beloved Leatherman Wave's case proved to be a complete joke, I needed something to protect it. This is when I fell in love with this particular multi-holster, which soon replaced close to four individual clips and sheaths, and bought me quite a bit of pocket space for only fifteen bucks.
For starters, don't follow the box's picture to a science. They say to keep the phone or whatever you use in the main section, under the flap with all the other tools. I have a flip phone, which is small enough that it can fit in the little front pocket they slapped on for earpieces, and thanks to the double-velco snap I can choose to cover it with the flap or have it exposed for quick-draws, all while the tools are tucked out of sight. Better than the (Somehow...extremely expensive) plastic clip I got from the phone supplier. Funny thing, this case was shown on the package holding my exact tools. A Mini Mag, and a Leatherman, even though you could easily fit any type of tool or light within reason. It fits my Wave perfectly, and even has a slot for the bit-kit many Leatherman-owners insist on toting with their knives. The flashlight band fits the Mag very well, with the lid cut away on that side for easy access. Inside, in a series of easy-access but hidden pockets inside the sheath. There is a thin interior sleeve you could keep cards, cash, bandaids, tylenol, anything with a thin profile in the back of the case. There is also thinner band designed for a pen or PDA stylus, but it fits a pen-sized micro-light I carry just as well. The main compartment, if you don't have a flip phone that goes in the front pocket, can fit any handheld device from GPS trackers to walkie talkies. Although any type or size of cell phone will also fit. If you felt the need, you could put your spare keys, credit cards, maybe even cash and ID in this thing instead of a wallet, but mine is more tool-based. Currently, it contained an accessory-covered Mini Mag, a set of filters and a larnyard for the light, a micro-light, bandaids and two tylenol in the back sleeve, my Leatherman Wave, its Bit Kit, a spare set of keys and since my phone is in the 'earpiece' pocket I can fit my leather-coccooned iPod Nano with headphones in the main sheath where it will be most protected.
I've worn the case with a belt, clipped into beltless jeans and khakis, hooked on a backpack waist-belt, and I've even hooked it onto the accessory slots of my Tamrac camera bags on photo trips, this thing can go wherever there's something to clip. The easy-on clip STAYS on, but you can get it off easily if you twist it off instead of pulling. I haven't tried any other Nite Ize cases, I've heard they hold considerably more gadgets. But for an urban living/outdoors loving keyboard surfer like myself, it's truly ideal. Only flaw? It only comes in black. All of the other Nite Ize cases come in at least four colors, and often different shades of camoflauge for hunters. I'd buy the black model even if they did offer all that, but not everyone is like me. Pick one up, and put whatever the heck you want in it, let this compact yet bottomless holster grow into your personality.

Check-out this mother#*@%in' knifeMan I don't know squat about knives and I bought this one because of a review I saw in the NRA's Rifleman magazine but let me tell you the Sog TF-3 (1/2 serr Tigerstripe) asst opener
is one COOL knife! Before buying though I checked out SOG's web site and was convinced to buy it, $66.00 no shipping costs.
When I got it it was just way cool right out of the box and performed just as advertised, just a flick of the wrist and that blade comes zippin' out just as smooth as can be and locks up like a mother...I guess it could be pretty practical if you were a hunter and were gonna skin some small game because it's surgical sharp and has an excellent grip, and it looks cool too.
For a quality folder I'm gonna guess this one must be amongst the better, reasonably priced, offerings on the market but who knows. What does seem to be the case is SOG is an excellent manufacturer of very good quality knives and definitely has its act together when it comes to design. So if your in the market for this type of knive you should it least check this one out for comparisons sake, but if you decide to buy it you probably will not be disappointed.
