Nail Pullers Review This is absolutely awesome!
This is a truly an amazing tool. The amount of time you will save in using this tool in crazy. I am removing a plywood subfloor placed ontop of an existing hardwood floor. The plywood was nailed all over the place and all of the nails were sunk deep into the plywood. Up until I got this tool I was chipping away the plywood to try and get at the nail heads. Now I just set the tool, slam the handle down and dig it out. After a little practice you will be cranking along and using the tool like a pro. Highly recommended.

Nail Pullers Review The very best nail puller ever made
This is one of the finest tools I have ever owned although it is also the ugliest. I found mine in a small hardware store in central New Hampshire 30 years ago. It was cheap then and I thought it was a hoot not realizing what it could do. Even though it weighs too much and is too long, I always keep it in my tool bag. I love to see the look on the faces of even experienced carpenters when I use it. Can't leave it lying around a job site if you know what I mean.

The secret to using it is to set one side of the jaws at the nail head and then lightly tap the sliding handle until the jaw seats under the head, then keep tapping it as you lever the tool over the head. When the other jaw is engaged just pull the nail out with a wonderful creaking sound. You can get pretty fast with it after a while.

Nail Pullers Review Can You LIVE Without It ??
Drive a 16d with an air powered framing nailer. If you don't like it, pull it right out with this. Any other bar or pliers will make a big old mess on your material. The way an air nailer countersinks a nail, you have to get below the surface of the wood. This tool does that, with a lift of the handle, then a firm slam down. Then when you rock it back onto the foot, the nail is pinched tighter than any thing else can pinch without cutting the nail. Keep a steady pull on the handle and the nail WILL come out. Amazing. Old ideas are still sometimes the best ideas.

Nail Pullers Review so good it sprouted legs
This is a great pry-bar, or cat's paw as they're known at this size. My only initial complaint is that the steel was not quite as hard as I'd like to see--it developed a couple nicks from nails. The blade was also a hair thicker than I'd prefer. All things considered, this was the closest to my ideal I've owned--so good, in fact, that it mysteriously sprouted legs and walked out of my tool bag after only a couple weeks.

Nail Pullers Review Essential Tool
I keep this one in my tool belt because I use it all the time. Gave one as a gift to a friend so he wouldn't steal mine. It is worth the price. For most jobs I would recommend the 10" rather than the 8".

Nail Pullers Review A tool worth 10x its cost
This truly amazing tool has become my most used (and cherished) handtool. For delicate interior work, it is perfect for removing brads and small nails. You can easily avoid wood dings and mars by placing a solid plate (or the end of a second identical tool) under the pry head. The flat end gives you a very thin (and sharp! be careful) edge which allows you to wedge in between moulding and trim and pull them apart. It's not for demolition work, like a wonderbar, but I find more uses than I could ever have imagined for this fine, precision tool. I bought an extra one for my neighbor, and he has come to same conclusion regarding its usefulness. Don't leave home on a job without it!

Nail Pullers Review The Super Prybar Tool
I used to use a Stanley pry bar & a mini pry bar until I bought this & it is a Super Tool for trim work, a chisel, pulling nails, scraping, and fits in places that no other prybar can. It really does grip nails & is a high strength steel Super Tool! It saves on breaking trim work also. The best one I have ever used! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

Nail Pullers Review Shark in the water!!
The Shark Corp Prybar and Nail Puller is the best tool for the job if you have to remove delicate paneling, baseboard, casing, and other trim. While the standard toolbox prybar (Stanley Wonder Bar) is a great tool it just doesn't have enough finese to pry-up delicate trim without major damage to trim and sheetrock.

The cat's paw nail puller on the end of the Shark Corp Prybar attacks nails on the stim and not the head so pulling small headless nails, brad nails, and all types of finish nails becomes and easy job. Additionally, the nail puller doubles as a light duty tack hammer for tapping out finish nails from removed trim.

In sum, the Shark Corp Prybar is a durable, usefull, attractive and wellmade tool. I'll have to keep an eye on this tool so it doesn't swim away on the jobsite. While Shark Corp offers an 8'' model, I'd recommend that you purchase the 10'' model because the 8'' model just doesn't have as much leverage.

Nail Pullers Review Shark is Sharp!
This is a great compliment to the smaller model; the extra length works better on glue coat and ring shank nails that are well set. The flat end will get under trim almost as easily as a putty knife. The cat's paw nail puller is very sharp, both the tips and the slot, so it will grip headless nails with just a tap on the heel. The one caution: when using the cat's paw end, wear a leather glove to protect the palm of your hand from the sharp corners of the wide blade when yanking on it.

I also use it to do some scraping and cleaning out inside corners. The heel of the cat's paw also can be used as a tack hammer. You will find more uses for this tool everytime you go to work. The quality of the forging and finish is great. Add one to your tool box today!

Nail Pullers Review Stiletto Clawbar Titanium nail puller
Not a contractor here, just a homeowner and I have no experience with the highly touted Sharp clawbars to compare this tool with. However, I love this titanium nail puller. It's very lightweight. The dimpler feature really works by not only reducing the chance of the wood splitting but also making it easier to grip the nail heads under the formed dimples. I was also surprised at how resilient the titanium is against nail heads. After pounding repeatedly on the dimpler with a hammer and pulling maybe 30 large nails with it, I can see that the titanium claws are clearly hardened and do not get dented or scratched by the nail heads. I have not tried it on headless nails to see how it will grip, but it grips very tightly on all those nails with heads that I tried to pull.

Nail Pullers Review expensive, but worth it
$60 for a cat's paw--that's crazy! I've heard it several times, but this thing saves a noticeable amount of weight in my toolbag, and functions well to boot. The dimpler feature is useful, especially when pulling nails from OSB, and the tool just feels and looks great. I have been using mine daily for months, and the head has yet to show any mushrooming like other cat's paws I've owned.

Spring for the expensive one: sometimes it's worth it.

Nail Pullers Review Stiletto tools still the best!
Best nail puller I have used to date. The dimpler option might be a bit overrated, but overall the tool is excellent. The biggest problem, the stiletto is so lightweight, I don't notice when my co-workers try and steal it from my toolbag.

Nail Pullers Review These other guys are right - it's great
I just pulled a headless galvanized 16d out of pressure treated 2x6 lumber where it was dug in like a tick. No problem. Pretty impressive. It also pulls nails with heads with equally little difficulty. Puts regular cat's paws to shame.

Nail Pullers Review For pulling all types of nails
From 6 to 16 penny. I kept seeing this product used by our subcontractor when he did some major remodeling a year ago. I picked one up to pull a bunch of old shelves down in our garage. The previous owner must have just bought a pneumatic nail gun and was trying it out, judging by how many nails he used to attach the shelving to the walls! This tool had NO PROBLEM removing the nails!!

Anyway, the Shark CORP 21-2030 Chrome-Vanadium Nail Puller is 11 3/4 inches long so there's lot's of leverage, with a uniquely shaped "cat's paw" claw at either end. This design easily slides under the head of sunk in nails or onto the shank of headless ones.

Nail Pullers Review Better than any other nail puller
I foolishly gave my first one to a fellow worker. Having shopped the local Lumberyards and chain building materials stores, I despaired of ever finding a replacement. I have used a number of different styles of pullers over the years, but this is the best I have found.

Nail Pullers Review great allround tool
works great for replacing siding as well ...especially the offset nailing lip.

Nail Pullers Review A God-send
Recently I replaced all the facia boards and gutters on my house. The last step in this process was the replacement of the drip-edge, which is an easy enough concept, but in practical terms can be quite difficult due to the interference of the shingles. I found that the job would be much easier if I had three hands-one to push the shingle back, one to hold the nail, and one to swing the hammer. After a frustrating time of punctured shingles, scraped and banged hands, and bent nails I called it a night. I thought about renting a power nailer, but fortunately I first entered "roof tool" into Amazon's search engine and found the roof snake-which handily solved the "third hand" dilemma. So now I have a tool that should work handily for lots of replacement jobs, ie shingles and siding, for about the cost of renting a power nailer for a day. The only problem I find with the tool is that the slot the nail enters and exits is a fair bit wider than a roofing nail head, allowing for some slop as you move the tool around under the shingle, but overall the tool is well worth the price and saves me a lot of frustration.

Nail Pullers Review Best pry tool on the market
Buy one now you will not regret. Except when it falls off your tool belt and you lose it. It is very strong and won't bend from my expirience at least. But it dos'nt fully replace the wonder bar, it is sharper so you can get in smaller places but the wonder bar can pry larger things away much easier, so get both.

Nail Pullers Review Better than Stanley Wonderbar
About the same size, but superior to the Stanley Wonderbar. I've used it to pull up trim, tiles, and tackstrips in concrete. It is big enough that you can jump on it to pull up stubborn stuff. Unlike the Wonderbar and many others, the nail puller is mounted on the side, so it gives you more clearance.

Nail Pullers Review Great tool
This tool is really helpful when framing, it will pull nails even whenthey have been driven below the surface of the wood, and even if you bust off the head it can still be pulled. This is the perfect size also. I've seen and used shorter ones, but they don't provide enough leverage.

Nail Pullers Review Pulling Nails
I was replacing wood trim on my house and had to pull a lot of buried nails while standing on a ladder. I tried using other tools like claw hammer, screw driver, pry bar but was having a lot of difficulty removing the nails and in some cases couldn't get some of the nails removed. I borrowed the Shark nail puller from my next door neighbor and from then on ALL NAILS WERE REMOVED WITH VERY LITTLE EFFORT. My neighbor told me he got the nail puller from Tool Crib and he let me use his catalog to order my own nail puller. I ordered two to give one to my son.

Nail Pullers Review The Big Bad Shark Corp 21-2036 14-1/8" Nail Puller
This is the biggest Shark Corp Nail puller. I bought several more of the Shark Corp Prybar products including this model #21-2225, 10" length one based on a combo set (Shark Corp 58-9018 Fine Cut Saw and 8" Prybar Combo Pack) I purchased 6 months ago. Both the saw and pry bar are working fine.

Here is what I wrote about the 8 Inch Pry Bar in my review:

"The prybar is also a tool deserving high marks.
This is NOT a tool for power demolition, but it is well made tool for fine work - trim and nail pulling. This fits perfectly in a tool belt or Bucket Boss. It's so nice to introduce my son to excellent general purpose woodworking tools. And at a reasonable price!"
Each size has it's use, there was a lot of thought as to dimension and ergonomics for each pry bar. A simple, well made tool that makes a job easier! The difference between this bad boy is that it makes easy for removing many larger nails than it's little brother.
FINALLY & MOST IMPORTANTLY, USE & TEACH proper safety for ALL tools!

I'm VERY happy with my purchase of the Shark Corp 21-2036 14-1/8" Nail Puller!

Nail Pullers Review Don't think about it, just go and get one
The cats paw was shown to me by my work partner. I never thought a tool like this could be so useful to a framer. You can pull out sixteen's, gun nails and, even finish nails. For the occasional stubborn nail a couple wacks with a hammer will fix the porblem. I don't start work without it, it slides easily in the rear belt loop of my bags. Smart/great investment

Nail Pullers Review American made nail/tack lifter
I looked all over for a product to remove hard to get out tacks, staples and nails. This product was exactly like I wanted and made removing staples out of carpet padding easy. The fact that it is inexpensive and made in the U.S. is a bonus. I also received my order quickly.
