Nail Sets Review Good assortment to start
This is a good assortment of blades to start with. I have only used a couple of the blades so far but it is nice to have the variety for the odd jobs when I will need them.
The blades I have used for metal and wood cutting have held up well so far.

Nail Sets Review A must have for your saw
An excellent addition for your tool box. It is always a good idea to have back-up blades when starting a project, and this packet fits the need perfectly. Very good quality blades, from a well respected name in power tools.

Nail Sets Review Buy one with your Sawzall
If you're buying your first Sawzall you need some blades. This kit has an assortment of blades for cutting most kinds of materials. If you're a professional using your Sawzall on the job you'll soon know which one you use the most and can buy lots of that kind. The others are there if you occasionally need to cut something else.

Nail Sets Review Pretty Colors
I'm new to nail sets but I bought these forlike $8, the otherday a saw Stanley nail sets for $5 but they were not color coded. If you ask me spending an extra $10 for the color coded ones would be worth it. I use this set every week and it is simple to determine whichone I need everytime thanks to the colors.

Nail Sets Review a basic set but works great
these sets work great and function well. It is hard to screw up a set of nail sets. these are just fine.

Nail Sets Review These are very good quality...
I replaced my old Stanley nail sets with these and have not regretted it one bit. Though my old set was reliable and very good quality (good steel, through and through) these are much more pleasant to use. The cushioned handles are much easier to hold in wet or sweaty hands and MUCH easier to find in a crowded tool box or tool belt pouch. Also, by having three different colors it is easier to remember which is which! Lastly, though this is not a big deal, I prefer these because they won't discolor as much as my old set did over time (due to the coating).

Basically they are inexpensive and a joy to use!

Nail Sets Review A work of art
I got this hammer for Father's Day 2003, after the handle broke on my old no-name import $ finish hammer. After swinging a 28 oz. steel shaft framing hammer (Estwing) for 16 years, it was time to give the arm a break and switch over to finish work. I looked for a titanium finish hammer but could not find one. I heard that Stiletto was about to release one, but I just don't like their hatchet-style handle. I had seen and admired the Hart "Woody" several years ago, which I believe is the predecessor to this Douglas. After some research I found the Douglas and bought one. After several months of use I must say I really like this hammer. But the best thing about it is the envious looks I get from everyone who sees it. I haven't noticed the loud ring someone else complained about. At least it didn't ring anywhere as loud as the Estwings do. The only thing that I have a problem with is glancing off the heads of galvanized finish nails because of the smooth face. It's probably just my bad technique from too many years of serrated face hammers. If I did it again, I'd probably get the Douglas with the cool inverted dimpled face instead. It probably won't mar up the finish work as much as a normal milled face hammer. Bottom line - buy a Douglas hammer! It's like driving a Mercedes to the jobsite instead of that old pickup! All the other contractors, and even the homeowners stop to admire it.

Nail Sets Review Hard driving - hard on hearing.
I bought one of these primarily because of the unique design... that and the fact that I had bent the neck on my Estwing framing hammer. I found it while visiting a friend in California and packed it back to Michigan.

I expected the Douglas to be well balanced and hard hitting and it most definitely is! I especially like the side-positioned nail puller and the strong junction between the head and handle. The side puller proved extemely handy when working with galvanized framing connectors while the head-to-handle joint inspired the confidence to take full swings knowing that an overstrike wouldn't require a new handle.

Indeed, the only complaint I HAD about his hammer is that it WAS very loud. Every blow would make the head ring - a high, shrill ring that soon gave me a headache. Rather than resort to earplugs, I partially filled the hollowed-out areas behind the face with silicone sealant. The din is reduced sufficiently so that I only need to wear the earplugs for the (electric) power tools.

Nail Sets Review still like "new"
I've owned an Occidental for almost three years now, and it shows almost no significant wear. I've never had a set of bags last more than a year and a half before, and those were falling apart at that. I've read reviews about other belts (bucket boss etc.), and they compare themselves to Occi by saying how much less they cost. This is TRULY a case of getting what you payed for. Yup, I swallowed hard when I plunked down for these, but I couldn't be more satisfied. A belt isn't too expensive at twice the cost, when it is sure to last five times as long.

Nail Sets Review Best pouches in the business
Occidental tool pouches are number one in my book, As compared to craftsman and CLC. They are built to last. Their leather is professional grade, and can withstand a harsh beating without falling apart. Every set of occidental pouches are different, in the wearing of the leather. That means quality in my book, knowing that the leather has been hand stitched, and not some assembly line garbage. As compared with the competitors. This will be my second set of occidental pouches, and the first set lasted three years. When the competitors pouches lasted me a year,if that. Thank you occidental and I look forward to another 3 to 4 years with you around my waist for 8 hours a day.

Nail Sets Review Well Worth the Money
I've been setting wood doors for years, and I can't believe I just now got these great levels. Use the 78" for the hinge jamb and the 30" for the header. Perfect door swing every time. My only complaint is that the magnets aren't placed in the EXACT positions of the hinges. But the magnets are still strong enought to hold on while hammering in the jamb. I would highly recommend spending the money on these quality levels if your reputation depends on quality.

Nail Sets Review Feel the power of those magnets!
We all know how great Stabila levels are, and we own several. We bought the regular Jamber last year and when we saw this magnetic Jamber we ordered a set. If you are used to the old strip magnets on levels, hang on, these magnets are. . . WOW . . . unbelieveable. If your putting in steel door frames this set is a must. It will pay for itself on your first job. Hands free working, even when someone is pounding on the floor upstairs, these levels didn't shake off the door frame. Very, very powerful magnets. We also discovered that Stabila placed the magnets on the 78" in the location of the hinges. So even if you are setting a wood door frame with steel hinges, you can use this level hands free. We are very happy with the quality of this and all our Stabila stuff. I heard that Stabia is a 100 year old company . . . where have you been all my life?

Nail Sets Review This is a keeper!
After getting off to a bad start...the first one was damaged in shipping...this is a great compressor. I run all 3/8 inch hoses, megaflow couplers and installed a triple outlet manifold on it. Everything operates without skipping a beat. And always on 15 amp household outlets without ever popping a breaker. I've used it for air guns, various types of light and heavy duty nail guns, and shop tools. Haven't tried it for spray painting yet, but Capspray uses it for their best HVLP sprayer setup, so that should work fine also. Very quiet compared to other compressors of the same size, but compressors will never be mistaken for a 'silent' partner. Excellent recovery time. Only con is that it's on the heavy side. Highly recommended.

Nail Sets Review great compressor!
pros:
1. its the quietest oil free compressor i've ever used.

2. Fill ups FAST. serioulsy, i was very suprised by how quick this baby is.
3. light enough to carry.. but just.

4. no loose parts. everything comes tight and solid.

cons:
1. barely light enough to carry comfortably.
2. not as quiet as i was, perhaps unrealistically, hoping for\
3. volume gauge is hard to read.
4. pressure adjustment is difficult and flimsy plastic.

Nail Sets Review Good tools with good warranty for less than $... each
This is a nice, well rounded set of tools that covers most of the needs any normal person would have working around the house. Want to hang a picture? It's got the tools. Want to fix the dryer? It has what you will need. Want to put together juniors new bike? You are ready to do it with this set. All in all this comes with everything you would need to to your typical light do it yourself project or home repair. It also has a couple of convenient extras like jewelers screwdrivers that are perfect for fixing that loose temple on your eyeglasses and a utility knife with snap of blades, great for doing wallpaper.

Another thing that is handy is that it does come with a pretty sturdy and lightweight case which is compact enough to carry just about anywhere. The case itself has slots for each tool (labels on the sockets are very convenient and much easier than trying to read the engraving) and if a slot isn't filled, you know that that tool is missing! It also has a small sectioned box ideal for putting in a few screws and nails and it already comes with an assortment of fasteners.

Th tools themselves are surprisingly sturdy, and they do come with a lifetime warranty. They almost all have a rubber comfort grip on the handles which definately makes them easier on the hands when you are doing a little bit of more repetitive work. When you consider that they are less than $.. each, these are really a good value.

I have been shopping around for a couple of weeks, and when it was all said and done, this set had more to offer than what I could find in the home centers in my area, and was less expensive! Whether you are a weekend warrior or you are just sick and tired of using a shoe to hammer in the nail for your latest picture hanging this tool kit should fit your needs. One note is that it should really be called a 61 peice tool set since 94 of the pieces are fasteners.

Nail Sets Review It's slinky it's slinky!
What walks down stairs alone or in pairs and makes a slinkedy sound...
'member that commercial from when we were kids. Well I think of it whenever I use this handy little bugger. I first saw this at a counter display with a block of pine with about a hundred finish nails stuck about 3/8ths proud in it. I placed it on the nail puled back the top and bam bam, two hits and it counter sunk the nail. Pretty cool so I bought one. The next week I used it on quarter round trim when the occaisional nail did'nt shoot all the way below the surface with my Pasload angled trim master nail gun (another review on the Pasload coming). What is cool about this tool is you can keep it in your shirt pocket or tool belt and countersink finish nails without reaching for your hammer. Another thing is it is much harder to accidentally slip off the nail head and make a bigger hole in your piece of trim like sometimes happens when using a regular nail set. It also works good for punching a starter whole for drilling in light gauge metal or when you're drilling the hole for drawer pulls and you want to make sure you get the hole started in the exact spot you marked. However it is not as powerful as a regular nail set struck with a hammer so if the wood is really hard or if there is a knot under the nail you'll have to pull the spring back a bunch of times to set the nail. It generally works with two pulls on nails under one a half inches. A two and a half inch 15 gauge nail driven through a door case into shims and fir framing is bit much for the impact this little guy can provide. I still give it 5 stars for speed and convenience, just keep in mind it has limitations.

Nail Sets Review Could have been a great tool set... 2 months ago
I ordered this tool set on July 11th. I was really excited about it, and was very disappointed when I didn't receive it by the July 26th delivery estimate. The delivery was pushed back 3 subsequent times. I got so fed up that I canceled the order today. This could have been a really great tool set for me.. 2 months ago.

Nail Sets Review love barbara k
I'm a housewife with a husband that couldn't help even if he had the time. I bought my own tools starting with this kit. It's been almost 2 years, and I still absolutley love them.

Nail Sets Review A great gift
This tool kit was one of the first wedding gifts we received. We've used it many times over the past few weeks to put together many of our other wedding presents. The tools feel and look great and work well. I love how the tape measure locks with the slight pressure of the thumb. I've used the hammer several times; it fits well in my hand and it's not too heavy. This is the perfect gift for newlyweds.
