Scrapers Review Great for Woodworking Too
I'm into woodworking. These Bahco scrapers come in handy. Great for getting into corners to remove glue squeeze out after it has hardened. The 1" model has a triangulated blade with three sharpened edges. (So you can spin it around to change the outer edge to a fresh side) So it has a nice point to it for getting into corners without having to rub the sides of your project. I cut a kerf of 3/4" to make a crosscut miter sled, for the runner, and needed to clean up the bottom. I turned the scraper to an angle, and it cleaned it up beautifully.
I bought the 2 1/2" as well. It acts like a cabinet scraper, and you don't have to resharpen it much. If you need to take a hair off of a surface, clean it up remove something from the surface it is a handy tool. The large plastic handle makes it easy to hold. Overall does a very nice job. I recommend the 1" and the 2 or 2 1/2" as well.

Scrapers Review It's a wonderful tool!
I have a pressure washer, a Makita sander, a dual-action air powered sander, a torch, and some other things for prepping prior to painting. This tool is really something! It's removing the old paint from gutters and security bars faster and better than the Makita, and it comes off mostly in small chips which means I'm not covered in dust and I don't feel the need to wear the full respirator.
Don't confuse it with a steel scraper. After using those scrapers for awhile on the bars I can feel that I had to apply much more force to those scrapers in order to get the paint to come off. It just pops off with this carbide scraper. Also, the steel scrapers feel like they're flexing in my hand. The carbide is very firm.
I can sharpen the edge with a diamond "stone" if I'm careful about preserving the angle. Why am I sharpening it? Well, I tried to deburr a 1/2" hole drilled in a mount for the iron bars and put a chip in the cutting edge. So, don't try to use it as a deburring tool! It works great otherwise, and keeps its edge if not abused.

Scrapers Review The only scrapers to buy
Yes, it costs twice what an ordinary steel scraper costs- but it's worth a hundred ordinary scapers.

I'm just finishing up what became a two year remodeling project, and I can't begin to recount all the times I or someone else used my Sandvik scrapers to prep a surface. We scraped hundreds of feet of molding, flooring, trim and just about every imaginable flat surface. This unit- the 1" model- was ideal for cleaning out the old molding, working close to an edge, etc.

It cuts lightly or deeply depending on the pressure you apply. You can gently scrape off a pain run or drip with it, or you can dig through multiple thick layers of ancient paint.

I actually have a complete set of three Sandvik scrapers in 1", 2" and 2-1/2" widths and I wouldn't part with any of them.

Scrapers Review Best darn scrapper on the planet!
After many hours of painstaking and seemingly useless scraping with steel scrapers and 'putty knives', purchased one of these babies.
Wow, what a difference!
Tried calling around town to find something local that would compare to no avail. Most stores (even paint suppliers) didn't know what I was talking about - a carbide blade on a paint scraper???
Do your back and shoulders a favor - buy this scraper. Amazon sells other sizes of this same brand, too.

We scraped hundreds of feet of molding, flooring, trim and just about every imaginable flat surface. The carbide blade seems to just peel paint off a flat surface without the need for any solvents or strippers, and it lasts a long time- I think I flipped the blade once after a year of heavy use.

It cuts lightly, with just a little pressure, or deeply if you lean on it. You can gently level a pain run or drip with it, or you can take off thick layers of ancient paint.

I actually have a complete set of three Sandvik scrapers in 1", 2" and 2-1/2" widths and I wouldn't part with any of them.

Scrapers Review Great Scraper Blades
This was an excellent purchase! This replacement blade is well worth the money, it removes paint better than any other and helps prepare your surface for a new coat of paint. Using other scrapers is a waste of time; nowhere near as efficient as this product. Get this blade. Highly recommended!

Scrapers Review Make your Sandvik Scraper like new
The Sandvik 450 is the best, easiest to use scaper on the market, with a carbide blade that seems to last forever. And when it does wear our, this little blade makes it like new for a few bucks. Simple.

Scrapers Review Buy no other.
After scraping many old houses and pieces of old furniture, I have found that Sandvik paint scrapers with their tungsten carbide blades are simply the best. Buy (use) no other. Surface preparation is critical to good paint adhesion, so invest in the best scrapers and blades on the market. I suggest buying all three size scrapers--the smaller ones not only allow you to get into smaller spaces, they also exert more pressure per square inch than the big one and are not as likely to be compromised by concave surfaces. They often remove what the bigger one leaves behind; they all remove what other scrapers leave behind--lots. Don't underestimate the value of your time--buy the Sandvik scrapers and blades. You will not regret it.

Scrapers Review Incredible
It is like a bulldozer. You cant break it. Most ice scrapers are pansy devices. You cant take them and smash ice. This thing is amazing. You can take it and smash it into your windshield and the teeth break the ice. Then use it like a block plane to scrape it off. The blade conforms to the shape of the windshield. There is so much incredible engineering in this thing if you examine it closely. It is like the better mouse trap, only it IS better.

Scrapers Review When was the last time you couldn't wait for ice?
This product is the best. Last year, my kids were fighting for the right to remove the ice and snow from my car. This tool just demolishes the ice. And the snow mover (that is another one of their products) is great for pushing the snow off of the hood and roof of my car.... without me getting covered with snow doing it.

I can't wait for this winter... and I have already stocked up on these for friends and family for Christmas.

Scrapers Review Tileman likes
I am a tile installer and I have to remove tile all the time for prep. This tool is great for tile removal, I have used one for about 3 years now and it is still going strong. I actually use to remove tile by hammer and chisel, not no more. This is even better then renting one of those pneumactic tile removers that you hook up to a air compressor. I use this in conjunction with the Bosch concrete grinder and WOW, you would not believe how fast you can get tile up and grind down the thinset. Great product.

Scrapers Review A great timesaver
I bought the Makita to help in renovating a remuddled kitchen. I wanted to clear the stove/sink wall of poorly installed ceramic tiles which looked daunting if done by hammer and chisel. Much to my surprise, using the Makita, I was done remarkably fast...with a bonus of it being enjoyable. The tool is comfortable to hold and of reasonable weight. In fact I was done before any fatigue set in. The variable speed trigger gave me very exacting control of chisel penetration and minimized wall damage. Eye and ear protection of course is a must. I'm now considering the bathroom. For removing tile it excels.

Scrapers Review Wow - Awesome Tool.
I had to remove quite a bit of kitchen tile on the counter and the backsplash and this tool did it with ease. I originally budgeted 2 weekends to do this tile removal job, but I finished it all in one afternoon using this tool. I removed all the counter top tile, tons of backsplash tile, tile that was adjacent to a bay window, the sink and the faucets and this tool worked perfectly. It's almost surgical in the way it takes out the tile. I used the bigger of the 2 chisels that came with it and left the speed setting at the default setting. For the initial tile removal, I would work the scraper along the grout lines at about a 45 degree angle and the tool went through mortar like it was butter. I was especially impressed with the way it would chip up the mortar bed/chickenwire that was under the tile. I plugged the tool into a wet/dry vac that would turn on when the tool turned on and I ran the vacuum hose through the handle and zip-tied the end of the vacuum hose to near the chisel. Thus as the scraper generated that really fine dust, it would get sucked up by the vacuum. I figured I vacuumed up about 5 pounds of dust, given how full the vacuum bag was, when I finished. The best part was that my arms weren't totally wiped out from 5 straight hours of running the tool. Granted it's an expensive tool, but if you have to remove tile this beats a sledge hammer and chisel and it's fun to use!

Scrapers Review Worth every penny.
Incredible tool. Removed tiles from a concrete floor with ease.
I recommend purchasing the 3 inch scraper assembly sold separately to help with the removal of tile adhesive.

Scrapers Review Best ice scraper ever
For years I've been trying to locate brass-edged ice scrapers.
After 16 years in Maine winters, I had learned thay they are the
perfect thing to clear frost and ice off car windows.
When I moved west, I could not find such a worthwhile tool and
have been doing Google searches, periodically, to find these.
Finally, there they are, so I bought 10 to keep and give as
    gifts.

Scrapers Review New meaning to Utility, you can actually DO something!
These blades convert your "duh" utility knife into a real tool that can cut precisely what you want it to cut. I used mine (after I felt like I got taken for a ride by the guy from the big box company) to trim crown molding! With ease you cut cross grain pine and trim it up to look professional. Also, the tile guys had left the cement backer board a bit long, so I used one blade to cut this horrendous stuff - trashed the blade - but actually created a crisp cut. This is no ripoff, even though I felt taken when I bought mine. You buy this type of blade and you will be astonished. A true investment. These things last and last and give you no effort cutting power. My apprentice carpenter just got converted too. He did not buy my story, so I told him "just amuse me and put one of these blades in your knife", it got very quiet and only hours later, he asked me "so what brand is this blade you wanted me to try?" NO BS.... try it and you will believe it too.

Scrapers Review Comfortable, sharp, long lasting
I own a 100 year old 3 story home in Newport. I have learned if you want a paint job that will last, you have to go own to bare wood. I will no longer waste time painting over multi layers of old paint. Plus when all the paint is removed from moldings, the new paint lines are so crisp and beautiful. Trust me, it is worth the extra time to get rid of the old paint. You will thank yourself later.

After wasting $$ on inferior scrapers, I have found THE best. The sharp carbide blades SLICE the paint off (sometimes so smooth you barely have to sand the wood afterwards). Ergonomically designed, the handles fit great in your hand and does not cramp your grip.

I suggest to buy 2 of the smaller size so you can keep the round blade in one all the time (perfect profile for scraping cove or scotia molding) and the triangular blade in the other. Also the carbide blades seem to last forever!

Also get the larger scraper with the ball grip on the front of the scraper for larger surfaces

      Thanks Bahco!
