Screwdrivers Review Good value for the $
It is hard to beat the value you get in this set. It contains most of the bits you would need and want. I thought it was odd however that while it contains both metric and english sockets it only has english hex keys. If your a bicyclist like me you know how important metric Allen keys are. The entire set is well layed out and labled

Screwdrivers Review great set!!!
this set is a great value. it comes with every kind of bit you can imagine. they are not the strongest bits in the world but they are pretty tough and for the price you cant go wrong. the case is great too. all the bits have a marked spot both size and what kind of bit it is. very well thought out. if you need screwdriver bits dont wast your money buying 1 or 2 at a time get this set.

Screwdrivers Review great
I think this is a tool that everyone must have at home, in a perfect case and well organiced.

Screwdrivers Review Great Product Just don't misplace your charger
The other reviews pretty much cover this tool with one large exception. Make sure you never misplace your charger. The instruction manual gives no info at all on this vital part and Black and Decker's website is just as helpful. The part # is 5102293-09 if you need to buy a new one, but you won't find it listed at the website, or any info about it.

I will now continue my quest for some helpful description of this most valuable part.

Screwdrivers Review STOP SCREWING AROUND!
We've all been there. There's that teeny screw just under the sink...just under the counter...just out of reach behind the wall...positioned just so. All it needs is a turn or two.
But it's impossible to reach. Not anymore. This is undoubtedly the handiest screwdriver we've come across---a three-position cordless ditty made by Black & Decker. The 2.4-volt rechargeable screwdriver offers the advantages of a traditional screwdriver when in the in-line position; switch to the middle- or right-angled position, and the extended, narrow bit holder reaches those ... hard-to-reach places. That's just for
starters. There's also a spindle lock that offers greater control when starting or finishing screws, and allows for manual use.

Screwdrivers Review Great Tool
This screwdriver is lightweight and easy to position in your hand. It's easy to recharge and goes along way on each charge.Switching from Phillips to Flathead is a breeze.I don't know how I ever got along without it!

Screwdrivers Review The Makita Impacts are Better
I have used both this tool and many of the offerings from all the other manufacturers in the cordless impact category, and while any impact driver is a welcomed improvement over the conventional drill driver, the Makita impacts are far superior. More power, lighter, more compact, and less strain on the wrist for the operator. My next purchase will be one of theirs. You can actually drive lag bolts without putting any pressure on the bolt itself, they drive themselves. Quite a tool. I definately recomend checking them out. I hear their 24V impacts will do frozen lugs on cars and trucks. Wow.

Screwdrivers Review The Best Cordless Impact I've Ever Used!
Another fantastic product from DeWalt! I have used Makita impacts and they just can't match the DeWalt. I've used it to drive 4 inch screws into decks without even having to drill holes first! I have also used it for automotive fasteners (except tires of course) and have never had a problem with it yet. Also, here's a small bit of advice for those of you who are considering buying this item: If you're going to drive screws with this tool, be sure and use square drive screws. This baby puts out alot of torque and will strip a phillips drive.

Screwdrivers Review I LOVE this Tool!
I bought one of these (DeWalt DW977) in March of 1997, along with a 3/8" Sq. Socket Adapter (Vermont American #15475) so it functions very well for all 3/8" square drive sockets and screw drivers, and I have been using it every week day in my Auto Repair business since then. It is perfect for a number of reasons: It is powerful enough for most tasks; up to 25Ft/Lbs, although I ususally hand torque everything anyway. Only a small amount of power is needed for most tasks, and it has a variable power trigger AND another power level adjustment, so I don't have to worry about breaking any bolts or screws, able to get the power down to almost nothing for the tiny screws and 4mm bolts. It's been rugged, never failed to operate, even though I've dropped it and have used it in the rough way that familierity breeds. I'm buying another one today on Amazon, just to have as a backup, as I CAN'T be without it!

Screwdrivers Review best in its class
ok, it's heavy, but,.. its got no cord and it's lighter than the 18 volt model. it will take a good bit of abuse and it's quite powerful for cordless. you'll have trouble finding competition with higher rpms. the variable speed switch is smooth and provides alot of control. the clutch works well. it will drive long deck screws and pre-drilled lags comfortably. the hammer works great for small holes(ie tapcon) and well enough for occasional, larger holes, depending on what you're drilling into. it's nearly impossible to find competition that builds a serious duty cordless pistol grip drill(T-handle drills are fine for folks in labcoats or suits who just hold a drill up to the light to admire its balance or price point, but,.. pistol grip drills are for folks who use and abuse them every day and need the added leverage and accuracy that only a pistol grip provides). the only dewalt batteries that i've had trouble with keeping a charge on are the ones i followed dewalt's advice with, to recharge as soon as you feel a loss of power. for what my experience is worth, it's still better to run nicad batteries down all the way, with, say, a flashlight, before recharging. i agree with dewalt, though, that it's a good idea to stop putting a heavy load on the battery once it starts losing power. good idea too, i think, to let the battery cool before charging.

)

p.s. don't waste your time trying to find a holster to hang this drill on your belt. it won't work. if you need to put it on your belt, the big lug is the only way to go,.. and one of those S looking paint can holder/hook things works well on ladders too.

Screwdrivers Review Powerful and sturdy, but too heavy for some tasks
This is a great drill for rough carpentry, but it's a bit heavy for woodworking applications. If you're building a deck, this is the tool for you - it's great at boring large holes quickly and cleanly, and it's got plenty of torque to drive lag screws. The clutch and electric brake make it great for delicate work, BUT IT'S TOO HEAVY! If you need to use it one-handed at arm's length, good luck controlling it. The grip and trigger are very nice, and the variable speed is really helpful. The keyless chuck works nicely - this tool feels very smooth and well-machined. My only serious complaint (besides the weight) is the location of the direction-of-drive switch. The drive direction can be changed without changing your grip on the tool - you just press the button with your index finger or thumb. Some people might like this feature, but I find it's easy to bump the button accidentally when working one-handed. I've only used the hammerdrill feature a few times, but it worked very well. This drill was originally purchased as a gift for my father to use at his camp in the Adirondacks so that he could drill holes in rocks (for boat anchoring) while standing in water without the risk of electrocution. It's primarily been used for rough carpentry and deck repair/rebuilding. THIS IS AN EXCELLENT TOOL AND IT WILL SERVE YOU WELL, AS LONG AS YOU DON'T FIND IT TOO CUMBERSOME. Note that the model I've used is a few years old - it's the exact same model number, but mine doesn't have the automatic spindle lock or the extended-run batteries.

Screwdrivers Review Best drill around
from the moment i bought this drill, it hasn't been put down! building, sheetrocking, repairing all made easier. extremely usful adjustable torque settings and electric brake allow for precision drilling. dual speed alows for different levels of power and control. can be very powerful with hammer feature. i do recommend buying the accessory kit with the rapid change bit attachment. great drill, well worth the price.

Screwdrivers Review Smart hammer and screwdriver in one
The hammer is basic but what is really neat are the screw drivers which covers all basic needs that a household has. One drawback is that one has to choose between flat top or philips heads for the screwdrivers.

Screwdrivers Review In fifty years I just can't find a better household tool
I am over fifty years old and can't say enough about the GAM 601 C P Claw Hammer and Screw Driver Coimbination Tool. I remember having one in my household when I was a little girl and I have always have two in my home; one with phillips screw drivers inside and one with flat edge screwdrivers inside. Those are and have been the handiest tools I have ever had in the house and I use them for EVERYTHING. I give them for gifts and always get smiles and a thank you from young people at first and as time passes, I get rave reviews from the same people. The older receipients seem to know the jewel they hold in their hand when they receive it and they are thrilled. This tool is great for all kinds of small and large jobs and it stores is a small space where it is easily found. It does not wear out because of the superior materials and workmanship. College students, Widows, Widowers, young people starting out on they own, new couples, employees, apartment dwellers, home dwellers, etc. all will love this product. I wish I could speak with the company about this product. It really is one of those old fashion tools that just can't be improved upon. Try one and you'll see why I feel this way.

Screwdrivers Review Excellent Set
I've been working with this set for a couple years now and it has held up well. Very quick bit/ driver changes and great makita quality (I also have a quick change black and Decker set which is not nearly as beefy/ solid). Only complaint is the inside of the case is cheap-- the plastic tray is pretty flimsy. But most of the time I keep the parts as the "default" on my drill anyway. You might want to do yourself a favor and get the bigger set-- I wish I did!

Screwdrivers Review Awesome, must-have accessory for any cordless drill
The whole concept behind a cordless drill in the first place is convenience and usability, so when I recently purchased my Makita on Amazon this was the next thing added to my cart.

No complaints so far and none expected ... the UltraLoc system offers an unbeatable combination of speed, ease of use and quality. The product description says it all: simply pull and release. Repeat as needed. The ultimate in plug and play!

My only (minor) gripe is that it would have been nice to have included a couple more bits and/or sockets, but there's more than enough here to cover most jobs.

Whether you're building homes or just living in one, you can't go wrong with this rugged, yet affordable solution. Best of all, you'll never have to waste another second fumbling around your toolbox for a key chuck again.

Screwdrivers Review A great accessory ... a real timesaver
This is probably the best single accessory you can own to go with your cordless drill. With Makita's UltraLoc, you can snap bits in and out with speed and ease. Makita's attention to quality on this accessory is second to none ... in fact I use the UltraLoc with a non-Makita drill. I love it!

Screwdrivers Review Nice Drywall Gun
Once again, Milwaukee delivers a quality tool. This gun is a vast improvement over their older, less balanced screw guns. It fits the hand well, is not overly heavy, and runs screws into either wood or metal studs without hesitation. The only complaint I have about this one versus the older models is the trigger lock. It's now a recessed button, which is very awkward to operate with one hand. But even the DeWalt's isn't that convenient, so this is my screw gun of choice. Plus, it has a 5 year limited warranty, which none of the competition can touch.

Screwdrivers Review good inexpensive gun
This is a plain, bare bones screw gun for drywall installation.

It has a soft start feature that helps the motor last longer since some people rather pull the trigger for every screw they shoot.
People who do tons of drywall just lock the trigger and keep driving one screw after the other.

It's designed to shoot screws in all day. Nothing fancy, no clutch, just a depth stop.

I actually use my clutched cordless drill for most drilling and general screwing. I only break this out for drywall. It has the advantage of being lighter weight with pretty decent balance.

If you're going to screw into something that's maybe questionable in strength might benefit from a clutched drill or a clutched screw gun or just going slow with this. These screw guns are really fast and since they're foremost intent is screwing into wood or steel studs having that type of adjustability really isn't required.

This is about the least expensive, no frills way to go for a screwgun and a brand that's been making these for a very long time. It's a good dedicated drywall screw gun.

For decks I might use a clutched gun or just one of the slower rpm screw guns that are geared for more torque to drive longer, fatter screws.

Screwdrivers Review This baby is is priceless!
The Milwaukee drywall screwdriver is a priceless tool if you've got a job bigger than 1 sheet. The depth settings are convienient and have good granularity of adjustment. You may have to try a couple of brands of bits however. I've found that the bits with ridges on the blade faces work best. They allow you to be slightly off 90 degress (perp. to the wall surface) without camming out. The rubber finger grips on the top of the Milwaukee make it comfortable to handle. It's well balanced and powerful. It takes a few practice screws to get the hang of it but it's by all means worth the (money). You'll use it every chance you get!

Screwdrivers Review A MUST HAVE
These are soo handy I cant see getting by without them. The quality is good but remember the blades are very thin and cant handle a lot of torque. I've used these drivers to repair eye glasses, guns and watches just to name a few. They are also useful for scraping or removing gunk from tight places and the price is a real bargain for this necessary little tool. Now get out there and tighten some screws.

Screwdrivers Review Very Useful
I purchased this tool set because I needed something small to tighten the screws in my sunglasses and eyeglasses. They do the job and I have found other uses for them too. I installed a new PCI card in my computer, these were just the right size.

Screwdrivers Review Phillips heads are not small enough
I have some electronic equipment I was trying to disassemble, and I was disappointed that the phillips heads were not "precise" enough. The set should be adequate for most purposes, but if you are looking for very small phillips heads, they aren't here. But to be fair, I don't think other offerings are any better.

Screwdrivers Review Are your screwdrivers too big?
The Craftsman small screwdriver set is for everyone. It is handy and comes in a convenient little case. It uses are endless and for the price I think it should be a staple of any man's tool set.

From watches and glasses to those small screws on computers there is a screwdriver in this set that will fit. It is reasonably priced and remarkably convenient. I highly recommend making this a part of everyone's household.

Screwdrivers Review A nice set and a must-have for any workshop or toolbox.
You may not need these types of screwdrivers often, but when you do need them, nothing else will do. They're great for tightening eyeglass screws or opening up the cases of small electronic devices.

This is a nice set. It comes with 4 slotted and 2 philips style in a variety of sizes. They seem to be well made and I suspect that they last a long time. The swivel heads allow you to put downward pressure on the screwdriver as you turn it to minimize the risk of stripping the head on delicate small screws. The case has a labeled space for each screwdriver. It's your typical plastic case with a snap top and should hold up as long as you don't step on it or drop something on it. This set is a nice value for the price.

Screwdrivers Review Fairly good
I recently bought this set of screwdrivers and they are great... the grip is AWSOME! but yesterday i broke of the tip on a flat head.. so i took it back to the store and they replaced the whole set.. It's a great set..

Screwdrivers Review Not Just a Gimmick
Stanley has introduced a number of FatMax tools in the last few years. Frankly, I think some of the FatMax tools are just marketing gimmicks, but the screwdrivers are some of the best I've ever used. What makes these screwdrivers special is the tri-lobe grip (FatMax grip) which makes them easier to grip and easier to apply torque. You can buy cheaper screwdrivers at your local hardware store and they are likely to have simple round or square handles. I have many of these ... screw drivers which I now use for opening paint cans. The FatMax screwdrivers are so much more comfortable that I will search my shop for one before I'll resort to using a cheapy screwdriver. The tri-lobe handle design has been in the Stanley product line for over 15 years and I would say that it is as important an innovation as some of the stuff Stanley did with hand planes over a hundred years ago.

Screwdrivers Review The First set of Screwdrivers I've ever bought
Previous to buying the Stanley 6pc. FatMax Screwdriver Set I had used everything from a coin (quarters were a favorite) to a nail file or a knife for my screwdriving needs. Once in a while I'd buy a cheap supermarket screwdriver which survived only one or two uses before it self-destructed. Well those days are over. Now I can hold my head high when someone asks to borrow a screwdriver or when I have to use one in my home for I know that this new set will not disentegrate after a couple of uses. I've used most of the six in this set and not only have they NOT self-destructed but they exhibit a glossy, high-tech look what with the chubby black handles and black tips. This is a great set for anyone who has spent a lot of money over the years on cheap screwdrivers and/or is tired of breaking off the tips of their expensive Henkel knives. This set would make a great Christmas gift for the tool-impaired man or woman in your life.
