Easy to use
replacement drill bits
Money well spent. The shaft that fits in the drill has a locking collar, when you flip the driver around it locks in place and will not come out until you unlock it. The only problem I have with the tool is the shaft will occasionally fill up with saw dust and the collar will not lock. All you have to do is tap your drill and problem solved. This tool was well thought out, there is an allen key built in the end of the shaft. You can change your bits and screw tips right on the spot. They even give you extra drill bits and extra allen screws. $37.00 does seem to be a little high, I paid $29.00 a couple years ago at Woodworker's Warehouse. Buy the set it's money well spent.

Good, but not powerful enoughLike Black and Deckers other 3.6 volt driver, this one does not have removable batteries, so you cant exchange with your other 3.6 volt tools.
Try the PD600 6 volt model. Its just slightly more expensive, and can be used as both a pilot drill and a driver.
Powerful, rugged, but shy of perfectPros:
Even at its bargain price, this screwdriver comes with a torque clutch and a folding body style. The thick black and orage plastic casing make the screwdriver very tough. Scoffs and scratches are usually not noticeable. The speed is great, sometimes too great, such as when driving a screw into a plastic drywall anchor, where too fast may soften or melt the plastic.
To my surprise, this screwdriver is fairly powerful. I don't know how much more powerful an electric screwdriver needs to be. I've driven 2" long screws into studs with this thing and it has never stalled. In fact, sometimes the screwdriver's power make it difficult to hold without folding it at an angle to get more leverage.
Cons:
The one serious complaint I have is with the torque clutch. With a setting that goes from 0-20 I would have expected a lot of adjustability. But even at its lowest torque setting, the clutch on my screwdriver has rarely slipped. I don't know if this is a problem with my particular unit, but it's very annoying to have to hand-tighten screws in fear of stripping them.
And from the "have the cake and eat it too" department, I wish that the screwdriver is smaller and lighter. It is not huge but it is larger and heavier than I expected.
Buy overall, this is a great screw driver. If the torque clutch had a more effective range of adjustment I would have given it 5 stars.
Great screwdriver for daily use
- Factory reconditioned to perform like new! Limit 1 per order.
- 6.2 amp motor
- Helical-cut steel, heat-treated gears for smooth operation
- High torque for deck building and drywall
- One-year warranty through the Dewalt factory or an authorized service center
List price: $97.99 (that's NaN% off!)

Can't go wrong with a yellow drill....Makes nice clean dimples on sheetrock once you replace the factory bit with a real drywall bit. It has enough torque that it DOESN'T EVEN BURP when you finish driving the screw! Does great with square-head composite deck screws as well.
works great

Mediocre designed tool can work great if you're lucky-----------
- My 1st QuikDrive unit did not work out-of-the-box, had multiple problems with the driving unit including screw strips that jammed, and a depth adjustment that would not rotate properly
- Driving Unit on the QD 2000 is a cheaper form of the one available on their pro unit
- Screw Strips come in lengths of only 30, requiring frequent changes [you'll need several just to get through a single sheet of plywood]
- It is difficult to find local retailers that carry the screw strips. Home Depot, [most] Lowe's, and Sears do not carry them
- DeWalt drill that comes with the kit is known to have a weak clutch that wears out sooner than their Pro models which use a Makita drill
- Instructions are too brief, do not provide a parts list or inventory, and include assembly instructions but not actually *operating* instructions
- Bits not always easy to remove, and are non-standard (you can't use the regular bits that are available for drills, you must use a QuikDrive bit)
Good Points:
------------
- When it works it saves you a ton of time and energy, and is consistent with the depth it drives screws
- QuikDrive customer service is excellent
- Comes with two nozzles so that you can drive screws up to 3" in length
helps make screwing sub-floors very efficient
Works great!
- Includes two 14.4-volt batteries, one-hour battery charger, two spare drive bits, cutout saw and rugged carrying case
- Adjustable nosepiece with easy-to-read length markings
- Adjusts to screw lengths from 1 to 2 inches
- Bits pop in and out with the quick-bit release
- High-torque motor is specially designed to drive screws without bogging down
List price: $249.00 (that's NaN% off!)

Not enough powerI called Senco tech support to see what they had to say about this. I told them I was hanging 5/8" drywall with 1 5/8" screws into both old (redwood) and new replacement (fir) rafters and studs. They told me that had I called them first they would have recommended a higher torque screw gun or one of their corded guns.
For 1/2" drywall with 1 1/4" screws this screwgun may be fine, but its certainly too wimpy for my application.

I love these tools!

- Double insulated
- All ball bearing for long life
- Powerful motor for maximum production
- Features a palm grip design for comfort

Better and worse than older versions
Almost perfectPros:
Quiet
Relatively little vibration
Rapid material removal
Excellent dust pickup
Rugged and dependable for long product life
Makita service and parts availability are excellent
Feels right for hours of use, a professional quality tool
Cons:
Difficult paper changing, not improved in five years.
The drill bits are a little specialized, since they have a flat spot to set the allen screw against so it won't spin in place. I found a local distributor who was more than happy to sell me a couple sets of three bits in the sizes I wear out fastest (#6 and #8).
Go ahead and buy this product, you won't be disappointed.
