Screwdrivers Review Great for big jobs
If you have enough room to work, i.e. not under a house or in the rafters this is the one to use. I have a smaller saw I use and bought this one because of the extra power. Just use a good blade in the saw. I used a cheap one the saw chewed it up and spit it out. I then used one of the dewalt blades and it was smooth for cutting cast pipe.

Screwdrivers Review Great saw for tearing up your house
If you are doing demolition, this is a great saw to have. If I had it to do over again I would buy the DW309, but that's just because I like lots of power. This saw has cut through everything that I have asked it to. I just finished tearing out a kitchen, and pulling out a ceiling soffit. Nothing slowed it down. The depth adjustment is a nice feature. Occasionally you don't want to send your blade through the next wall. You can at least knock off about 1 1/2" in blade length with the depth adjustment. A previous review wrote about the plastic lever to release the blade. Now a days most plastic is harder than metal. It feels like a composite of nylon and plastic. In 2 years of use mine has never given me trouble. Blade changes take about 5 seconds. It always works. The blades are always secure. The saw also comes with a relatively long cord. That's nice because on small projects I don't always want to pull out the extension cord. In fact, I nearly did my entire kitchen with nearby wall sockets. Enjoy your destruction.

Screwdrivers Review First Recip saw - unbelievable help
This was an amazingly valuable tool and I have no qualms about recommending it to someone who needs a saw to cut into studs or a major demolition repair project. I had an infestation of termites that ate into a first floor exterior wall, and I had only 1 1/2 weekend days to fix it, never having done this before and having a business trip at the weeks start. Since the rental stores were closed - I bought this to help cut the studs. I got the 6" wood blade (it comes with a 4" bimetal. Okay, I was ignorant (I didn't know it cut nails), but I was flabbergasted when I just sliced through nails - so I didn't have to pound or peel off siding and seperated nailed together studs. It cut the studs in a snap (I did have a jackstand holding up the beam). Sill plate went in a flash too. I was able to replace all of the spoiled wood and a safety margin well ahead of any hand tools, plus there's some things, like cutting nails from one side, I couldn't have done. Really did the job. My only note is that they should include a 6" wood blade with this (in addition to the bimetal). It's also a limited use tool - It's impossible to do any kind of a nice wood working cut - you can do a sort of striaght cut for a reinforced support 2/4 to go under (with bracing on both sides of the join). This is for removing things only, also good on branches.

Screwdrivers Review Great classic tool
This is well made and works great. Very nice for small drilling jobs without the hassle or size of a power drill. Surprisingly powerful for a hand drill.

Screwdrivers Review Great Tool...
I looked through many auctions for this tool thinking they didn't make it anylonger. Time wasted. My girlfriend ordered it for me and I was thrilled to now have a new one. Great tool and handy. I'll suggest getting the Spokeshaver as well, another usefull tool to own.

Screwdrivers Review A useful addition to any toolbox.
There are some jobs where a powerdrill can be unsuitable and this one is just perfect. If you are drilling aluminium doors or windows, or attaching fittings to boat masts you need delicate control to prevent damage to the aluminium. A power drill can catch in the hole and rip out a chunk of metal. If you use a hand drill that will never happen.

It is also ideal for delicate woodworking when control is more important than speed.

Because it needs no power, cable or batteries it is ideal for use in the outdoors and in wet situations where electrical appliances can short out.

Screwdrivers Review Best Screwdriver the average person can buy
This is the best screwdriver I own. Most of my tools are thrown togerther in a drawer or are in a tool box in my trunk. I have this one on a desk in my office, and it is the first one I reach for when I need a screw driver (which is all the time to tighten fixtues, door knobs, etc.)
I also have a screw driver with a bit set - it has too many free parts that can shake loose.
This screw driver is locked to gether and much easier to change to the bit I need. This is a durrable tool and has a great price.

What a great tool. I use mine all the time! No more hunting for four different screwdrivers. These things are durable, practical, and best of all, the exchangable parts are always right inside, so I won't lose them. This tool is worth much more than its paltry price. Buy it!

Screwdrivers Review This is a true screw gun
A relative came over to help me install drywall in my basement and brought his Dewalt screw gun. After seeing him run through a box of screws I realized it was pointless for me to try to keep up with my drill and bit attachment. It was more efficient for me to measure and cut pieces and let him take care of the fasteners. I was fascinated at how he would keep the screw gun running with one hand and bring up screws from his apron with the other. Once he got going, his rate was one screw every one-two seconds. Jeff had to leave after a couple of hours but left the Dewalt for me. It was then that I learned the features that allowed for this lightning fast drywall installation.

When the trigger is depressed, the motor runs, but the tip does not turn until it is also pressed against the work surface. The motor runs at much higher RPM's than my drill resulting in the 1-5/8" screws disappearing into the drywall in a blink. The depth adjustment disengages the clutch at your predetermined setting resulting in perfectly placed screws every time. The drywall paper was perfectly dimpled, without breaking, at every screw. I also found that longer 3" screws installed through joists just as quickly and easily.

It turns out Jeff let me keep his "old" Dewalt because he had a few that he uses for work. I can't wait to use it on my upcoming deck project.

Screwdrivers Review Much better than a drill with a bit attachment.
With the built in clutch mechanism, there is no chance of stripping or twisting off the head off a screw. Simply set the depth adjustment, drive the screw, and wait for the clutch to engage. The screw will always be the perfect depth, every time. I was building a deck with someone else using a drill and was able to drive a good 25% more screws in the same amount of time since I didn't have to worry about depth and torque. Be sure and pick this one as it's the only one that comes with a case. You just can't go wrong with a good case -- you'll never loose the other head attachments.

Screwdrivers Review Very useful for anything you want to drive
I had a chance to use this screwdriver this past weekend and found to have plenty of power to put drywall up and to put in deck screws through redwood decking it worked great. the set and forget nosepiece was handy. i can't say enough about this dewalt we own many dewalt and other brand tools and this dewalt does not let us down.

    Screwdrivers Review Awesome functionality
I take my squirt with me wherever I go - and make excuses to use it whenever I can. It's so compact, and has heaps of cool tools so you have something for every occassion. It's awesome for fishing. Easy to get a grip too, even when wet. Rust proof, and the paint won't chip off - it's a winner! Great gift idea too.

Screwdrivers Review Like it better than the Micra
I've had a Micra for over two years, got a Squirt S4 last month and already prefer it to the Micra. The color didn't peel off, it fits a bit better in my hand, I like the tweezers much better and the tools are more accessible.

Screwdrivers Review Very Similar to "Micra"
I have mixed feelings about this product. I gave it 5 stars because it is a top notch Leatherman product. The mixed review is whether it outpreforms the Leatherman Micra that it sort of replaces.

First, its just a tad shorter and a tad wider than the Micra. You won't notice the difference in your pocket.

Second, the reverse opening sissors is just as easy to open as the Micra. It has all the same tools, although they feel smaller they look like they handle the same set of screws. The bottle opener is a bit smaller but it still opens the lift top bottles just as well.

The tweezers do come completely out from the body of the knife which is good and bad. Good because they are easier to use, bad because they are easier to lose. On the other hand they are well integrated into the body of the knife with a small tab for removing them.

And on the Micra when I open it the tweezers always swing out whether I need them or not.

So its a toss between the two of them. So in general I'd have to go with price, and the older Micra is a few bucks cheaper.

    Screwdrivers Review You need one
If you are going to hang more than 20 sheets of drywall get one of these. It makes the job easier, faster and easier to mud later. This gun is light and fits well in your hand.

Screwdrivers Review Specialized But Very Useful
I have an older version of this tool (6801) with less power, no reverse, and a fixed speed rather than a variable. Even with these limitations, this was a very useful tool. I only work with drywall as a DIYer, but the time and efficiency savings from having a specialized tool were worth it for me. This category of tool was one of the things which really differentiated Makita when they started importing to the US, and they continue to do a good job with it in my opinion. If you have a large project involving drywall, this is probably a good investment. Spend some time practicing on scrap - it will probably save you some frustration.

Screwdrivers Review A great drywall gun
Anyone who is contemplating a drywall gun because they are still using a drill to hang drywall should give this tool some serious consideration. It is a very affordable tool for those of us that do not do enough drywall to justify the cost of the higher end units, yet still offers the adjustable depth controls, variable speed andlightweight that make one of these tools worth having.

    Screwdrivers Review Flawless
This gun works much better than the Senco guns I have, although I don't like the cord. Easy to change the depth, or size of the screw, tool-free. I have had the same problem as others, a lot of the Senco screws do not work with this gun, but the Pam fasteners work better than Makita collated screws.

    Screwdrivers Review Perfect for Hardibacker
I was laying over 3000 sq ft of hardibacker. It seemed a perfect job for an autofeed screwdriver. I bought a SENCO because my local store was out of the Makita. The SENCO couldn't sink the screws through the Hardibacker. I went to the local rental shop and got a professional version of the SENCO. It was better, but I still had to finish off setting every screw. Finally, I found this Makita. It handled the job perfectly.

Screwdrivers Review Well made works flawlessly
This product is very well made. Its construction is clearly heavy duty not like some of the other brands that I bought and returned. Drives the screws perfectly every time -- plenty of reserve power. All of the adjustments are on the tool and thus do not require external tools.

Screwdrivers Review A Tool I Can Count On
For more than ten years this tool has never failed to function perfectly. I like the forward and reverse rocker switch. When used by a "lefty" the switch is easily operated by the index finger. For right hand operation the thumb is used. Another great feature is the lock switch which prevents the tool from accidentially being turned on. For example, if you want to snug up a screw by hand you can lock the switch off. Locking the tool before placing it in your tool box prevents accidential turn on while in storage. The battery removes easily and seems to always run longer than I expect it would. Of course, in ten years I have replaced them from time to time. The adjustable torque is a great feature too. It's a great tool for electrical work, electronic equipment repair, and working on door locks, etc. I have not missed variable speed since a quick on/off works well. I often underestimate its power. The two speed model might be worth checking on if you want to drill with it. My two single speed units give me good control. These tools have seen a lot of service and I have never regretted the purchases!

Screwdrivers Review Milwaukee 6540-1 2.4-Volt 190 RPM Screwdriver with Battery a
Fantastic tool for the truck or auto tech, this is definetly a case were less is better, reffering to the voltage of the unit.It is very compact yet has a nice balance between power and it's ability to get into very tight spaces. The driver is very well constructed, so is the charger ,all of which are produced in Japan, which means you are getting quality. The package also includes a jabobs chuck and chuck key, 2 batteries, a high impact carrying case and some assortyed bits.Add a good bit selection for some real versatility
.From the use I have had so far I can tell you the batteries are long lasting and the unit has been trouble free.I would recommend the offset as an assesory,it comes in very handy.Don't let the lower voltage fool you, this is a very effective tool.If your looking for a more powerful unit look to the Dewalt driver, but is is not as nearly as compact ,the price paid for more power.I personally have both of the drivers and each has it's place. This is a killer package from Milwaukee, and a must have addition to your tool chest, you will not be sorry with your choice.

Screwdrivers Review Best screwdriver for Computers
This is the best screw driver I have ever used for working on computers. With the clutch set at 1 I can drive screws in any computer component with out fear of over tightening. I have been using this screw driver for 7 years now on all things computer related and have absolutely no complaints. I have even driven screws into plastic with out stripping them.

The two speed setting is great most of the time I leave it in high with the clutch on one and don't think about it. There are the times with the occasional sticky screw where you might need to turn the clutch up and set the speed to low but the screw driver has the ability to do that with in easy reach of your thumb.

The rocker switch between forward and reverse makes it easy to take the screw back out that you just mistakenly put in.

I can't think of a more essential tool for working on computers that this screw driver

    Screwdrivers Review Electrician
I have used this drill driver for over 2 years and never had a problem. The battery will last all day and then some. I do commercial Electrical work and I am very hard on the drill. I use it constant all day long 6 days a week. I have dropped it from some 6-10 feet and it still keeps on ticking, I don't recommend dropping any tool of course but accidents happen. I have charged the batteries no less than 300 times a piece and they still perform like new. This is without a doubt the best tool I have ever purchased in 25 years. I have always been happy with Panasonic products. I feel so positive about this drill driver this is the first review I have ever taken time to write.

    Screwdrivers Review pansonic drill driver
i am a mechanic at a mercedes dealer, i've used and tried many-many drill drivers, & this panasonic is the best. it is the fastest at 600 rpm. very light. easy to use. the electronic clutch is very adjustable and precise for torque settings,i use it everyday with only one battery; the fifteen minute charger is a must. this is a pro tool and well worth the money. the only other driver comparable is the milwakee but slower at 450rpm. the panasonic driver is the tool for interior work. i recomend it highly.

    Screwdrivers Review Not worth it
Great idea, bad design. Although the pockets are neat and convenient, the back pack is uncomfortable. The weight of the drill and hardware case (when full) pulls the pack down and away from you. In addition, the shoulder straps are cheap and not well designed. It would help to have a chest strap to clip the two shoulder straps together like on the hiking packs. The pack is also too big and bulky. Back problems have occured. Im going back to my $40.00 NorthFace pack. Much more confy.
