Screwdrivers Review 2 in 1........but twice the problems!
This nailer has some design flaws that need to be addressed. I usually do extensive research on any tool before I purchase it but this was an impluse buy and I paid for it.

First off you should never try driving brads with this gun because the firing head is the width of a staple and leaves huge depressions in the wood for driving a brad. Might be fine for paint grade furniture or trim, but not stained.

Secondly, don't try driving 5/8" brads with this gun, constantly jambs because the nails have to travel on a track inside the loading rail and they don't quite make it to the firing pin.

Third, not enough power to countersink staples into plywood.

Fourth, it is difficult to aim where a brad is going because the firing pin is really designed for staples.

Fifth, after using it for awhile driving brads you will find that the staple will recieve uneven pressure driving the staple on either side because of the firing pin being worn on one side by the brads.

Spend the money and buy a seperate staple and brad gun. Stanley Bostitch is a great company but unfortunately with this product they fell short.

Screwdrivers Review Just O.K.
I got the 2 in 1 free when I purchased a Bostitch 15 gauge finish nailer. I haven't used it as a brad nailer, only as a stapler. I would have to say I am a bit disapointed. This gun rarely counter sinks into any materials I've tried it on. It leaves the staples flush with the surface or slightly protruding. The 2 in 1 one has never jammed on me, but I can't in good conscience recommend it either. If I had not gotten it for free I would have returned it for a dedicated finish stapler.

Screwdrivers Review badly executed design
This is a lightweight nailer/stapler that can handle narrow staples and light gauge brads of up to 2 inches.

I have not used this tool much but about a third of my time so far has been spent fixing jams and the loading assembly. The loading magazine spring popped out, the magazine does not secure positively and it jams from time to time.

This is the worst Stanley branded tool I own. Looking for a replacement.

Screwdrivers Review Not for female hands!
After 5 years our Skil battery operated screwdriver finally died. The screwdriver was still as strong as could be but the batteries we had for it would no longer hold a charge. (We actually had two batteries because in a move we lost the unit, but still had the battery and charger). We specifically searched for another Skil screwdriver because my husband had been so happy with them for so many years. We purchased a Skil 3.6 volt battery operated screwdriver (model 2936). I am so upset that we wasted $30 on this new piece of junk. It holds a charge for about 15 minutes and it is nearly impossible for my small female hands to remove the battery to place on the cumbersome charger. It actually takes me longer to remove the battery than the charge it holds. Based on the Skil name we foolishly did not save the packaging or receipt or even register the product. I used to recommend the Skil name to everyone, however in a few minutes though I am leaving to purchase a Black and Decker screwdriver!

Screwdrivers Review Pretty good, except for the battery
I have to agree with other reviewers here that the battery life is terrible on this tool. I also had a previous good experience with a Skil screwdriver that I had for 5 years before the battery finally went. I replaced it with this unit because I liked the light and the articulation features (which are great).

My only other complaint is that the flathead and phillips bits are 2 separate pieces and theres nowhere on the screwdrived itself to store the unused bit, making it easy to lose. My previous Skil screwdriver had a reversible bit that was much more convenient.

Screwdrivers Review Works well
Mine works well thus far, and meets my expectations. It drives screws for furniture and disassembling packing crates, and provides more than enough torque for these applications. I haven't had any battery issues. It holds a charge for several days.

The site light is more useful than I expected, especially for furniture, where you need to see inside a countersunk hole.

Screwdrivers Review Don't buy this vacuum
This vacuum cleaner is much heavier than expected. It is difficult to carry up and down stairs.
The delivery took 4 to 5 weeks with no explanation.
The belt comes off way too easily. During each use, I have to replace the belt.
I have gone through 2 broken belts.
I expected this with my cheap Dirt Devil, but this time, I bought an expensive version and it has more problems than the cheap one.

Screwdrivers Review Platinum Force Bagless Vac
The power in this thing is amazing, I love almost ever aspect EXCEPT the filter situation. Wish the could make a full size va filter like they do with the stick vacs. Never the less this is an awesome Vac!!!

Screwdrivers Review I love it!!!
I love this incredible machine. It is VERY powerful, goes from carpet to uncarpeted areas with ease. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because of the way one must empty the collector...I always seem to get dust everywhere. That's not enough to discourage me. This vacuum is the greatest!!! Before purchasing this vacuum I did alot of research & independents rate it #2, second only to a vacuum that costs 3 times more!

Screwdrivers Review Crummy comes to mind
I'm not a contractor but I am an intermediate level DIY'er. I tend to use a cordless screwdriver in most things I do. For some tools, I don't spend the money for the top of the line stuff. In most cases, that is OK. But in this case, the screwdriver let me down. After only two months of light use, it started to fall apart around the neck of the screwdriver where you adjust the torque. The case started to split too and I could see the plastic gears, cheap stuff. The battery life was OK for what I used it for. I think I'll try the Dewalt 920.

Screwdrivers Review Good, but not powerful enough
This is a good quality driver for in the home, but not really powerful enough for any type of hardwood. Also, the battery is not removable, so you cant exchange the battery with your other Black and Decker 3.6 volt tools.

I would suggest going with the Black and Decker PD600 6 volt model. As it is only slightly more expensive, but much more powerful and also can be used as a drill.

Screwdrivers Review for what it's worth...
This screw driver is a piece of junk. The carousel frequently jams and the bits fall out of the shaft if faced down. Incredibly poor engineering.

Screwdrivers Review I love it!
Works great, not perfect but I replaced 6 screwdrivers with this. You have to be a little careful when you switch bits, but having all the bits right there and you can change quickly. Everyone who sees mine wants one.

Screwdrivers Review Don't Buy Firestorm!
Listen to the other reviews, please! Firestorm is a waste of money! I sold tools at Sears for three years and I have never had a satisfied customer. O.k., if you are drilling 1/8" holes or driving 1" screws, you won't have a problem. But you don't need an 18V drill to do that.

This drill only has 125 in/lbs. of torque. The new Craftsman 12V with a Diehard battery has over 300 in/lbs. of torque. Plus it is $20 cheaper at normal price.

While I worked at Sears, I am not a fan of Craftsman cordless tools. I much prefer Milwaukee, DeWalt, or Makita. However, any Craftsman cordless drill is better than any Firestorm POS. Do a little research, go into the stores and play with these things. Find a tool you like using, not just one that is cheap.

Screwdrivers Review Xmas scam
Not a bad drill and screw driver for light household tasks. The problem comes when the batteries need replacing. Few places carry them and those that do charge more than I paid for the drill which was being pushed as a Xmas item. I will now buy a De Walt.

Screwdrivers Review own it & like it
I've had this drill for 4 years and never had a problem with it. Granted, I am not a contractor/carpenter, however I do all the maintenance in my home and have been extremely happy with it. It is light enough for me to use and maneuver on long projects without breaking my back and gets the job done. The batteries have never given me trouble. If I were doing this for a living, I would invest the money for a more high-powered high-tech drill. For household projects and maintenance, it can't be beat. If you're a big guy, perhaps you might choose another, or not. Chicks rule and this drill helps!

Screwdrivers Review Review for 15" Fiskars Handle Saw
Do not buy this product if you are buying it with the expectation of having it for years to come (as I did). It's definitely not built to last. The screws attaching the handle to the blade were loose which results in way too much play in the handle.

Not at all what I expected when ordering Fiskars brand.

Screwdrivers Review DeWalt is Much Better
To insert a bit into the Makita Ultralok, you have to pull the collar back and insert the bit--a two-handed operation. With the DeWalt Rapid Load, you just push the bit in as it is spring-loaded. I would give this 1 star, but most of the hex shank holders work the way the Makita does, and the Makita is of good quality.
