scissors that won't let you down.
Excellent All-Purpose Shears7/11/06 Today I came to Amazon to replace these scissors which I have lost (where do they all go???) Interestingly, these scissors used to be called kitchen shears and my original review said I loved them and also used them for the garden. Someone must have been paying attention! So now I will say....get a pair of these for the kitchen also, they are the best for all uses including cutting chicken bones with the little notch, cutting up herbs, trimming veggies, cutting open plastic bags and making short work of those impossible CD packages.

- Includes narrow and wide hand spade, a hand cultivator, a by-pass hand pruner, kneepad, and cotton gloves, overnight charger, and a canvas carry bag
- Cuts up to 5,500 strokes per minute, completing trimming tasks with ease
- Lock-off switch prevents accidental start-ups
- 35-minute run time on single charge
- 3-inch scissors-type hardened blades for durability
List price: $50.00 (that's NaN% off!)

great product, great price
Great product, don't review this until you OWN it!The included tools are very nice. They have rubberized grips and look like quality tools. The kneepad could be a little softer, but it'll do. The hand pruner worked perfectly to oust a HUGE weed in the garden. Gloves are decent too.
The carrying bad is large, tough, and better than expected. A great addition!
It even comes with a 30-day no risk satisfaction guarantee. How can you go wrong for $24.99? If you bought all these items seperately, it'd be way more than that. Just a pair of garden gloves can be $15!
We just moved into our first single family home less than a week ago and I took a risk and pre-ordered this Black and Decker gardening set. It's a perfect set. Great for first time home owners like me, who literally don't own one gardening tool! (NONE!) A great set, and I am happy with it!
Happy gardening!

World's Best Pruner gets even better with rotating handle! The real joy is in using the Felco # 7 purner. I did not believe a rotating handle would feel very secure to hold or to operate. Well, I was wrong. This pruner is very secure to hold and operates smoothly. Pruning with these is as easy as cutting butter. I have been able to use these pruners (bare-handed) for 8 hours of pruning. I have never gotten a blister or sore muscles, as I have gotten with other brands of pruners.
Pruning has never been one of my favorite gardening activities until I got the Felco #7, but I found out it was a joy to prune with a precision tool. I recommend these to all my friends.
Simply the Best. Inexpensive for a lifetime tool! This pruner is well worth the money, and is certainly worth spending a little bit more on than buying a Felco 4 or Felco 2. (Unlike the Felco 2 or 4, this model comes apart and various replacement parts are available)
The swivel handle makes for a unique pruning experience. The Felco craftsmanship makes for a clean, smooth cut every time.

Classic
Fiskars quality in a unique gift set . . .The angled scissors are in my kitchen "tool" drawer, and work well for all of the typical kitchen tasks.
The pruners get the most use. I do my own flower arrangements when I can, and these work *beautifully* for preparing the blooms. They cut cleanly through the woodier stems, strip thorns from roses, and crush the stem ends to facilitate water absorption. A quick rinse, and they're ready to go.
Finally, I used the tin to house three 4" pots of herbs on my south-facing kitchen window sill. It has a traditional yet stylish look, and it's easy to snip off a few sprigs of thyme or marjoram while I'm cooking.
This is a great value -- and a wonderful housewarming gift!

Good for straight cutsDefinitely a great and well-executed tool, and it is nice that it can swap between a cordless drill for remote cuts, and back to a corded drill for bench cutting.
There is no flying dust from the cutting process, although there is a slight amounnt of waste (1/4" or so) from the cut. Be sure to practice cutting along a scribed mark on some scrap before using on finished work, and think before you cut to be sure to leave the waste on the correct side, away from your measured piece.

Disappointed expectationsRecently, I've been trimming a lot of trees, (honey locust, cottonwood, silver maple, and oak) and I found that the lopper took a good deal of force to trim off small diameter limbs (<3"). For several weekends, I worked on these trees (14 trailer loads of brush and limbs) and I kept trying out the lopper. Though I am above average in strength, I found that I was doing much more work than the lopper was doing.
I just now came out the yard after attacking some 25 year old Manhattan Euonymus bushes. They were very over-grown and 10 feet tall. Some of the base vines were over 3" diameter. I wiggled my way into the tangled mess with my Corona lopper and found out quickly that this was the wrong tool to cut the base vines. To open the blade jaw, even for a small diameter cut, required that the handles spread open very wide, too wide for the tight quarters I was in. So I pulled out some old loppers I had, Fiskars 24" geared action. It did the job well. After pulling out the vine/limbs, I decided to test the cutting force of the Corona versus the Fiskars. The Fiskars required less effort to cut through the same limb. That's when I decided to write this review.
The Corona product has good quality materials, but the design is a dinosaur for effective cutting.
Heavy-duty, effective and efficientThe blade is of ultra-high quality steel, and so sharp, you would think you could shave with it. In fact, if you have kids, you'd better take care to keep them away from this tool.
The handles are tough and show no signs of weakening or cracking, despite dreadfully heavy use.
The manufacturer's rating on the maximum branch diameter is modest. In fact, you can cut much thicker branches with this unit - with ease. My use of a small chain-saw has dropped to nil.
The clippers are heavier than any I've used before. You notice the weight after a while. But, the speed and ease of cutting makes up for that.
I've found that storage can be a little tricky. When you hang the clippers, they have a tendency to swing open - and you -really- don't want that to happen with something this sharp. It takes a little playing to find out how to hang them securely (using the manufacturer-provided metal ring, and your own loop of rope).
This is a tremendously valuable tool. If you want the best, I believe these Corona clippers may be it. But, of course, you'll pay for it. In this case, however, I believe I've got everything I paid for, so I can give full marks in the rating of these clippers.
Great loppers
