Great planer but missing a dust collector port
No problems so farThis is my first thickness planer and am very happy with my purchase. I agree that a dust hood should be included and is a pretty pricey extra, but well worth it. As with my other Jet tools, I'm amazed at how well it performs out of the box with minimal adjustment.
I looked at a lot of other benchtop planers, and trusted Jet's reputation and took the plunge. The finish this produces is smooth, adjustment is easy and I get very little snipe. I was hesitant with it only having two blades, but it seems to work just fine, plus it will be cheaper when it comes to replacing blades.
I appreciate Jet's simplicity and performance. I'm sure this tool will be in my shop for many years.

Long WaitThis tool is very versitable and convienent. It is a must for jobs requiring predrill(not countersink). The 4 piece set will do most jobs. The only concern I have with this product is the availability of it. I waited 4+ weeks for it to arrive. Also I have not been able to locate any replacement parts in any of my local stores. This tool is made very well and seems to be able to stand daily use in the construction field.
Excellent tool! This tool is invaluable when used for setting hinges! Hold the hinge in place, push the drill against it and know that it's centered in the hole. Works just like a Vix bit only you can pop it out the holder, flip it, put it back in the holder and voila', now you've got a driver to power in the screw. I've gone through three sets as they tend to grow feet and walk away. :(

SK Socket SetExcellent quality as expected from SK. Easy and assured purchasing process. All items arrived as stated and expected. Would shop this way again.
Can't go wrong with SK.I work in an auto shop and use my tools heavily every day. I mainly buy SK because they're made to take a beating day in and day out without quitting and won't break the bank like Snap-On or Mac. The SuperKrome finish looks great and keeps the tools looking like new for years. My father has 30 year old SK tools that don't have a spot or rust or corrosion on them.
This 44 piece set is an outstanding one that'll cover most jobs that require a 1/4" drive tool. The two extensions come in very handy and the molded case keeps all the tools nice and snug. The fit and finish are typical high SK quality so if you're looking to invest in a high quality 1/4" socket set look no further than this one.

Stanley works.I picked up the 96 peice set awhile ago. I feel that it is a perfect kit for around the home, under the car or for fixing little Johnny's bike. I can't understand why some folks seem to want to bash the Stanley line of Pro. Mechanic's tools. Stanley offers a nice basic kit for the average folk. If I were a mechanic I'd probably own Snap-On (or something of similar caliber), but I'd still have one of these sets around for the heck of it.
I like the blow molded case where all my sockets sit rightfuly in their place. Some can be a bit stubborn to remove(That's where Mr. screwdriver comes in). The sockets themselves are hardened using Cr-V (Crome Vandium) and are 12 points. The longer 3/8 sockets come in 6pts which is nice as do the 1/4in sockets.
The 1/4 & 3/8 ratchets provided are highly polished and have a fine machined quality to them. They also seem to have a higher tooth count, maybe 40, definitely not 36)
I would rate them much higher than the standard and mid-level Craftsman ratchets(but the thin profile Craftman are still much better). Also, the Stanley ratchets fit and feel very good in my hand and have a good weight to them. It's a joy using them.
This set also includes 2 open end wrenches (7/16-3/8 & 9/16-1/2) also highly polished and very strong. Two 3in. extensions are provided for each ratchet, as well as a nice screwdriver with 8 interchangable tips (Phillips and Slotted). A 5/8in spark plug socket is included for those shade-tree mechanics, as is a 9 piece SAE hex key set.
For whom it may matter to. This Stanley mechanic's set is made in Taiwan (but built to Stanley's specifications). If this is not a problem, then you have a good set of tools at your disposal.
Stanley also extends a Lifetime Warranty on their tools (as long as you know that it's a ratchet and not a chisel or hammer). All you need do is send them the defected part and they mail you back a new one. If that is too much, then you can just go to Sears (freedom of choice is a wonderful thing).
(btw- for those who might not have known. Stanley used to make ratchets for Sears Craftsman line when they were considered good)

Nice Mechanic Tool Set For The Weekend WarriorI found the mechanic tool set to work excellent for the auto mechanic projects that I performed ( I am the furthest thing from a professional mechanic ). I probably wouldn't advise a professional mechanic to purchase this set but I'm sure they wouldn't anyway. The tool set is well made and very sturdy. The only gripe I have is that one of the locking tabs on the case broke the first time I closed it so now the case has only one locking tab ( something Stanley may want to fix it the future ). I give it five stars because for the price it's an excellent buy.

Qualified Yes!Hand tools are very sturdy and excellent; however, the large tools are basically useless. You still will need to purchase a full sized shovel and perhaps also a hoe, depending upon your needs.
Reasonably priced, basic starter set for the Wolf-Garten systemThis is a cost effective way to have a great set of starter garden tools or to begin your collection of Wolf-Garten tools. While they may seem expensive, the quality made the initial expense worthwhile for me (with one exception: the grass rake isn't that great).
The Wolf-Garten system allows easy and quick interchange between various handles of different lengths and a variety of quality tool heads which are well made and durable. The handles are comfortable, have no-slip grips, and an easily pushed button to add and remove heads; the place where handle and head join is very strong. They appear to stand up very well to our soggy, salty, Pacific Northwest coast weather and I have yet to see any indication of rust on any of the tools. I own more than 10 of the various tool heads and several handles, and plan to buy several more tool heads from this line. An additional benefit is that tools generally not available in a long-handled form can be used while standing which is very helpful when one can't kneel. Different sizes of rakes, cultivators, and weeders are available making it possible to have a specialized tool for each garden job.
I highly recommend these tools for the avid gardener.

Woodstock International G1728 7 pc. Tapered Countersink Set

This is a good assortment for a decent priceThese countersink bits are decent quality and the size assortment is pretty good. I have had good luck using these to drill pilot holes and recess screw heads in all types of wood.
My only real complaint is that within a few months of owning the set, the depth adjustment ring on one of the bits cracked in half. I think they should be made well enough that you cannot crack it with a tiny allen wrench!
I really like everything about this set (except the broken depth ring) and I recommend it as a good deal for this price.

Works great - a time saver tooWorks well...
Being able to set both the depth of the hole and the depth of the countersink can save a lot of time and means you get consistent counter sinks unlike when using a seperate countersink.
One note...these a re steelex brand.. so this set is the same as this set for $10 less (STEELX 22-Piece Tapered Drill Set - D1041)

There's no free lunch...These were incredibly inexpensive pliers. They look and feel great, but the metal quality is not up to par. It didn't take long for the serrations on the jaws to mush into rounded bumps. Conclusion: These are great to throw in the car trunk, but for real use, buy American.
Good Quality, great valueI have seen similar items at the local hardware store
that are at least twice the cost, and poorer quality.
Well made.
I could use some of the pliers to be a bit bigger - like the
side cutters, so only 4 stars - but they all seem to
work well - like a tool should - but usually not at such a great price. Great value item.

Worst set EVERI'll start with the good. I like the case, and the Philips and Flat head bits were decent. But you can get those in any $10 set. The drill bits were complete garbage. I used the set for 1 week and broke 2 drill bits. They just ripped apart. Now, I had this very very cheap Black and Decker drill set before this, and that lasted over 2 years!
I have been extremely dissapointed by this set and refuse to buy any DeWalt accessories from this point on.
However, I have used the DeWalt compressors and nail guns. I do like those and they seem to build power tools well. However, with sets like this I am extremely surprised how poor the quality of the bits are. Save yourself $40 and buy something else.

Good Product, Bad Customer Service from IRobotI will try to keep this review short and specific. I only had the Roomba for two weeks due to a battery problem, where the charge only lasted a couple of minutes.
Good: Great at moving around obstacles. Tends to flush out dirty spots and sucks up dirt you did not know exists.
Bad: Dirt tray can occasionally get snagged on furniture and come off (all the dirt the Roomba collected is then in a clump on the floor).
Ugly: Customer Service at IRobot is horrible. I waited on the phone for 30 minutes to speak to a live person. A person then came on to the phone and said Roomba would call me back in 1-3 days. No one ever did. I found out later that she was an overflow operator and not even a technician. My wife called in and was able to talk with a technician (after another 30 minute wait). She then depressed a button on the Roomba for a minute, recharged for a couple of hours and tried again. Battery still could not hold a charge. She called back up (waited another 20 minutes on the phone to reach a voice) and they told her to try recharging for 3 days and see if that worked. At this point, I got fed up with customer service and have decided to return back to Amazon. Amazon is great. No questions asked, even gave me a slip to print out postage free.
I am torn, I like the concept of Roomba, but if IRobot cannot 'support' the product without it becoming a hassle, why bother? I don't like when IRobot says the reason they can't fix my problem is because robots are 'Complicated'.

This was the BEST purchase that I have made in years!I have seen this thing for a long time and was so tempted to buy it, but I was a bit leary as to how well it REALLY worked. Well, I am a "pink freak" so, when I saw the pink model I just knew that I finally had to give it a shot, and boy am I glad that I did! This thing works WAY better than my expectations. I have no complaints whatsoever. The first time that you use it, you may wonder if it will really cover the whole floor because of the way that it randomly moves around the room. But somehow it manages to cover it all, some places more than once, but it seems to me that it is just sort of "overlapping" the areas to make sure that it all gets covered. I don't know how it does it, but it does. If you need a real "deep" cleaning, you will want to use a regular vacuum. But, if you use this one often enough, you will not need a regular vacuum very often, plus it does have a "max" mode that really does a great job. The instruction manual suggests that you clean the brushes about every five uses. You should, and it was very easy after the first time that I did it. I have cats and because this thing was able to get to places that my regular vacuum could not reach, such as under my couch and under my bed, the brush heads where covered tightly with cat hair the first go around. Once it got all the cat hair that must have been there for who knows how long, I did not have a problem ever cleaning the brush heads again, it was as easy as cleaning a hair brush after that. I was also extremely surprised as to how quiet it was. I could watch TV in the same room that I was using it in, and I only had to turn the TV volume up about one or two numbers, and then I never noticed the sound of the vacuum again. I am so happy that I bought this, it was well worth the money by far. I highly recommend it to all!
So cute, and great at cleaning up kitty fur! This was a gift for my Mum, she named it "Floyd" due to it's adorable pinkness. We turned it loose and it did the entire upper floor of her home on one charge.
Almost everyone in my family has a Roomba now. It won't replace a normal vacuum for the most serious cleaning, but daily buzzing around the place really reduces dust and fuzz.
We love them!

Very DisappointedYeah, it looks like a Star Trek Phaser but that's where the fun ends. Upon purchasing my 2 pack from Costco, I thought I'd do some consumer testing to see if it's claims are true...
The package says you get 45 minutes of light from one minute of cranking. "Well, let's see," I thought...
So I turned one on and let it burn down. I was extremely happy that it took over an hour to burn down. I thought that they had conservatively underrated the device and was very pleased by that. Then I cranked it up...
I cranked it for a little over a minute at the rate of about 1 rev per second and let it burn down again. The light was very dim in about three minutes. I was shocked. So I cranked it faster, at about two to three RPS for over two minutes. (By the way, that's much harder than you may think!) The light was dim in about seven minutes.
Remember when you were a kid and ordered something from the back of a kids magazine that sounded really cool? Remember how it was nothing like it's description? Well, unfortunately, this is that.

Too good to be true....it is.In the store this flashlight looked great; super bright white light. I couldn't believe how bright it was. Enjoy it while it lasts because you'll never see it super bright like that again.
These come two in a package. I left one new and ran the other one down. Instructions say only one minute of cranking gets you charged back up. This is just not true. One minute of cranking will produce some light but that is not even close to the brightness of the flashlight fresh out of the package. I cranked for a full ten minutes, until my arm became tired, and the brightness only reached about a one-third of what it was in the store.
This product is a fraud. Don't believe me? Try a pair yourself; just make sure you save the receipt.

DuraPRO MeasurementsI took one of these flashlights apart to find out how the charging part worked. I couldn't believe you could actually charge a battery in 1 minute. I measured about 60 mA for the 3 LED's while running and about 25-30 mA charging current. This means you crank about 2 to 3 times the "on" time. Of course, when the flashlights are new, they're all charged up. 120 mA-hour battery, so they can run quite a while before they really need charging. In the end though, you'll need to crank 2 to 3 hours to get 1 hour of run time. Still OK for some applications.
MAJOR COMPLAINT - no dust collection port, it's an option? (How to create a wood chip snowstorm in the shop? Don't use a dust collector on your planer.) Amazon doesn't even carry the optional dust port - nice touch, huh? I had to have Woodcraft order it for me and it took two weeks to get it.
I still love the finish this planer produces and it's very easy to set-up and adjust. I gave it 4 stars because they decided not to include a dust port that must cost them all of $5 to produce.
ATTN JET Product Managers: Raise the price $10, add the dust collector port, and get a MUCH HAPPIER customer. You have no price pressure at $429 - the competition is the DeWalt at almost $600 with the in/out feed tables.
