Tool Sets Review What Measurement Standard?
You certainly don't want to buy this socket set not knowing if its Metric, American or Whitworth, would you?

Tool Sets Review SK 4116 socket set is expensive and worth it
The SK 4116 is a 1/2" drive SAE set. It contains 13 sockets, a ratchet, extension, and a 10 1/2" breaker bar. It comes with a nice steel box to keep them in. So many socket sets come in cardboard boxes these days, I wouldn't even consider a set that didn't come with good storage. Buy this set, use it for 50 years, and pass it down to your kids.

Tool Sets Review S-K Quality
S-K Quality is unsurpassed my son assures me.He was delighted to receive this socket set as one of his Christmas gifts.

Tool Sets Review Long Delay
I would not know how to describe this item. I ordered
it Aug 23 and it is now Oct 1st and it is not anywhere
to be seen.

Tool Sets Review Stanley 66-565 Screwdrivers / Review
I have been using a set for over 1 year now. They are very comfortable in your hand, and the wear on the drivers is very low. Would definitely buy another set if needed.

Tool Sets Review nice drivers
These drivers offer a nice durable rubber grip- Kinda like a Klien but much more affordable. I like the feel of these and feel that they should stand up to heavy duty usage. Best of all, unlike many stanley products, these are still made in the U.S.A

Tool Sets Review Not bad
The ratchet heads are a bit big and won't fit into tight spaces.Roughly comparable to Craftsman teardrop ratchets, except for the head size. Not on the same level as Craftsman fine tooth or Craftsman Professional ratchets and far below SK. For someone that wants a good quality basic set of sockets and ratchets, these will do the job pretty well.

Stanley ratchets are the same as the Husky line sold at HD.

Tool Sets Review Decent; not great, but decent
In the end, basically a decent quality set of tools. They are certainly not mechanic quality (I'm not a pro and I've still handled better), but they'll get the job done as long as you are willing to use a little extra elbow grease and some patience. The rachet mechanism has slipped on me before, when trying to unscrew some particularly evil bolts, resulting in a nice little hand-smashing-into-metal-making-little-cuts-hopping-around-bleeding sort of moment. But considering the abuse I put them through, and for the price, I'm still giving these a decent rating; an occassional mishap is not so bad compared to the utilty of actually having a good, complete set that works 99% of the time.

Tool Sets Review Pleasantly surprised
This is one very versatile tool set. The only thing missing is a set of needle-nosed pliers. Other than that, the tools are of good quality and should be able to handle most jobs of the jobs you would expect them to. I bought these on sale and for the amount I paid for this set, I'd say I was pleasantly surprised.

2-Pc. Gorilla Bar Set

Tool Sets Review An adequate pry bar.
As far as pry bars go, this one is average. I recommend the Stanley 55-515 12-1/2" Pry Bar if you're really interested in prying things. This pry bar is light, and I was able to pry into a few houses, but it just doesn't have the feel of the Stanley. I gave it a three because the smaller pry bar in this set is incredibly useful for opening windows. Plus, it's got a cool name. When you and your accomplices are talking about gear, telling them that you've got your "gorrila bar" really has a heft to it, and is liable to impress them. Saying you brought your "Stanley" isn't as fulfilling. The name sounds a lot like you brought an old man along. "I brought Stanley." Anyways, 3 star pry bar set. The Stanley is really where its at, as far as pry bars go.

Tool Sets Review It's not sliced bread but...
You can get that elsewhere. These aren't Tove pry bars but they work well for ripping stuff apart. The oval shape of the bar makes it super rigid and strong. Could be made better, could use better steel, but you'll pay more money for that. Note, for those of you who try to buy USA made products these are imported from Asia (can't remember which company and the packaging is long gone.)

Tool Sets Review Nice to have all the tools together in one box, but......
I just received this tool-set yesterday so I can't really comment through use of the tools. But upon inspection, the different tools appear very poorly made - example: the ratchet tool feels like it is going to fall apart as you twist the head to change the direction from left to right, and the flashlight is light as a feather.

Given that, having these tools together in one portable place is nice. Plus I guess you shouldn't really expect much more for the price. Don't get me wrong, I still plan on keeping this in the back of my truck. But if I were to do it again, I might spend a little more money, and put an emergency tool-box together myself.

Tool Sets Review Super tool kit.
I was lookin for tool kits to take home to India, and this is just the perfect toolkit I could have thought about.

Tool Sets Review OK...but not the greatest
The handle for this screwdriver is VERY long, so if you're short on space, this is not a great tool. Also, the magnetic, telescoping head is good for picking up things, but because it "telescopes" (like an antenna), the bits sometimes come out of the screwdriver. It's functional, but I wouldn't recommend it.

Tool Sets Review Not Just for Girls
I was a little put off by the Barbara K logo, but it had what I was looking for. I wanted an "upstairs" screwdriver, one to keep in a drawer for little repairs upstairs without having to go to the well-stocked workshop in my basement. This isn't a girlie-man tool, it's a solid, journeyman screwdriver. Magnetic bits of enough sizes and a light that either shines where you're pointing the tool or detaches. The only thing more I would have liked for this type of tool would have been a ratcheting mechanism.

Tool Sets Review I prefer the DeWalt bits
I first because very impressed with cobalt bits after drilling a ton of holes in 1/4 red iron with dewalt bits and the bosch just don't last nearly as long. without a pilot hole the bits above 3/16" wear out much faster than the dewalts. It's the nicest case for drill bits i've ever had though so it gets' three stars, when one brakes or wears out, i just replace it with a dewalt...

    Tool Sets Review great bits
the bits are great and go through anything, though i wish the case would fit into the drill's carrying case. in any event the bits are excellent.

Tool Sets Review Great idea, bad materials?
I ordered this kit because it looked like a great new way to use hole saws. They are sharp and cut well but the big problem is the arbor, it's absolute junk. I don't know about you but when drilling holes with larger bits it's easy to have them hook and stop suddenly. With the old type of arbor, all you had to worry about was smashing your knuckles in tight quarters, or maybe a broken wrist or two :) The arbors for this set bend very easily when they hook. I've gone through three and the third was my last one. I doubt that I drilled 20 holes with the three arbors. Maybe if I was using a drill press to drill holes in wood that's clamped down to the table it might work well. Hopefully another company will make a set that actually works.

Tool Sets Review Excellent design and value
If you don't want to spend over $250 for a set of carbide hole saws, then this is as good as it gets at a fraction of a carbide set's price. The best feature about this Bosch set is the terrific quick-connect mandrel system. The hole saws, regardless of size, snaps in and out of the mandrel easily -- no tightening or screwing needed. The saws are sharp. I used the set to install locksets in two metal-clad wood doors without breaking into a sweat. Highly recommended.

Tool Sets Review love the idea ..but hate ...
the weak bits...the cutter are excellent, but the bits break easy. I replaced them with some irwins and use the cutter and the quick change ...good but just beware the drill bits

    Tool Sets Review complete kit
The countersinks cut very clean without a lot of tearout. It handles most screws you would ever use and everything stores in a quality case. The only improvement I would like to see is an allen wrench built into the bottom of the bit holder for adjusting bit depth.

Tool Sets Review Get What You Pay For
I purchased these plug cutters recently to plug top screw holes on my floor installation. A plug cutter is a plug cutter right? Well not exactly.

The hardwood floor I was installing included a White Oak border that was top screwed and plugged. I had a [hard] of a time making high quality plugs. The plug either broke off in the plug cutter (too short) or they burned leaving a visable ring on the floor.

With my drill press set at a very low RPM I was finally able to make plugs that didn't burn but only when I used very tight gained plain sawn stock. By the time I figured out exactly which speed and which stock was best, the cutter was dull and produced burned plugs again. Argh!

I ended up going to a local Woodcraft store and buying a [other tool] plug cutter. With its 4 cutting surfaces this cutter worked like a champ. Had I only spent the extra money on a high quality plug cutter I would have saved myself hours of aggravation. What's your time worth?

    Tool Sets Review Great Cutters
I have owned a set of these for the last few years and think they are great. Not only do they make an excellent plug but they have a feature that "self ejects" the plug while cutting another. I liked these so much that I ordered a set as a gift for a woodworker friend of mine. I'd highly recommend these.
