Tool Sets Review Not suitable for tight screws
I've used this product for several years, and it's fine for times when your pocket knife or fingernail isn't appropriate. However, most small screws are set tight enough that trying to loosen them with this set will disappoint. I snapped BOTH edges off of the larger screw bit on tough screws. Now that piece is only good as a flat phillips bit!!

The pivot head on the knurled base/handle is fine - again for LIGHT work - but lacks any means of getting a firm grip on the screwdriver. I've actually had to clamp a pair of Vise Grips on the handle, in order to get enough grip on a tough, tiny screw!

Tool Sets Review General tools, generally a good set
A friend on mine has a set of these in his workbench. They are descent quality and are fine for items like glasses or small appliances

Tool Sets Review DeWalt is Better
To insert a bit into the Makita Ultralok, you have to pull the collar back and insert the bit--a two-handed operation. With the DeWalt Rapid Load, you just push the bit in as it is spring-loaded. I would give this 1 star, but most of the hex shank holders work the way the Makita does, and the Makita is of good quality. The drill bits are decent.

Tool Sets Review Great 7 piece bit set!
I purchased the Makita 784873-A 7-Piece UltraLok Set for my husband who owns the Makita 6233DWBLE 3/8" drill. The bits fit into the drill wonderfully and changing them is easy and goes qiuckly. The 7 different bit sizes are great for the many tasks that you can do with this drill. This was a great investment!

Tool Sets Review Works fine... with a French Maid's outfit!
I love my garden. I use tools in my garden. I would happily buy a product that holds tools & seeds & weeds the way the toolbelt I use at work holds tools & fasteners. In fact I use an old carpenter's tool belt just for this purpose. Although not perfect for the garden (it's dark green, leather & heavy!) it seems much better than the choices gardeners are currently given.

The Rumford my boyfriend gave me.... Well, I have other uses for both of them!

Tool Sets Review Nice Gardening Set
This set of tools is of excellent quality. I actually ordered it for the apron, but was pleasantly surprised at the quality of the tools! The tools are heavy duty, and polished to a sheen. The handles fit your hand perfectly. (Note: The apron turned out to be way too big for me. Although it is adjustable, it would not go down to my size - 28" waist. But my handiman husband fixed it so it would fit)

Tool Sets Review Stanley Socket set
The tools look good and are organized well. The plastic kit however does not hold the tools very well, many of the sockets fall out and will not hold in place. This defeats the purpose of having the tools organized because you have to put tools back every time you open the kit. The kit is of poor quality.

Tool Sets Review Good value for money - and Stanley Guarantee for life
No doubt there are better tools and even better tool cases out there - but at what cost?
I've used Stanley for 20 years, and recently bought this set when I purchased a new Land Rover.
Great selection of tools, really nice quality on the sockets and wrenches, and the ratchets are well made with a smooth action and easy quick release.
Reversing direction is easy to do one handed, but not easy to do accidentally.
Size selection is a base kit PLUS, and will cover 99% of most auto jobs on US or European vehicles. Extras like hex drivers are great - could do with some Torx bits to be truely complete.

Tool Sets Review please save yourselves
I bought this vacuum three years ago. Actually I bought the original three years ago. It was replaced three times in the first year. We bought an extended warranty on the vacuum and thought that would make it ok to deal with any problems. The first vacuum started sparking after 10 minutes, and then blew up. We replaced it since it was under warranty and used the second vacuum for about 4 months before the belt blew when we replaced the belt the vacuum blew up again. Again we replaced the vacuum with the same model. Also during the entire use, the vacuum has smelled of burning rubber. While we have a lot of carpet, none of our older vacuums have made this smell. We figured out that the vacuum will only last about 20 minutes before the burning smell starts. Now we have the vacuum pile selection raised to the highest setting (we figures that the smell was coming from the brushes inability to move quickly when down on the lowest pile setting). While the vacuum seemed fine for a while...the suction is now down to almost nothing and the belt on the vacuum lasts about 3 uses. So every third time we vacuum...we have to change the belt. We have also experienced the vacuum falling over when using the attachments. Please save yourself the time, energy, and frustration that this vacuum will require.

Tool Sets Review not pleased
We bought this after moving into our new home...new house=new dirt=new vacuum...lol...well needless to say i was thrilled to turn it on and use it for the first time...vacuuming was enjoyable...the first time anyway!!! After that the vacuum couldnt be used for more than 10 minutes before it would overheat and turn itself off...and not able to run again for 20+ minutes!!...Nothing like trying to clean your house and the vacuuming alone would be a all day thing...i was VERY disappointed :(

Tool Sets Review Works Well but Has Reliability Issues
We purchased our Hoover vacuum probably about two years ago. It offers a ton of features, including a cleanable filter and a separate HEPA filter. There is also a washable exhaust filter. This vacuum cleaner works incredibly well, pulling all kinds of dirt out of the carpet and off our vinyl floors. There are a lot of nice features, including a very bright front light, and various attachments to allow you to vacuum furniture and the edges of walls.

Given the Hoover name and all the wonderful features, as well as the cost, I thought this vacuum cleaner was going to be an outstanding buy. We replaced a Kirby vacuum cleaner with this Hoover with the expectation that the Hoover would last us for at least 5 or more years. Unfortunately, less than two years into using it, the Hoover gave up the ghost when the motor smoked.

We treated the Hoover well, emptying the can and knocking dust out of the filter weekly. We rarely ran the vacuum longer than a half hour at a time, and vacuumed only common household dirt. Thus, this vacuum cleaner should have been in an environment where it lived for a very long time. We are vacuuming a bare floor when the vacuum started smoking and the smell of a burning motor started to fill the room. Replacement motors run from $80 to $130, plus the labor to replace them. We will likely opt for a new vacuum cleaner given the cost of replacing the motor.

We were going to go with another Hoover, probably a self-propelled given the difficulty we had with pushing this vacuum, but after seeing a substantial number of negative reviews for self-propelled Hoover vacuums and for Hoover vacuums in general, including others with motors that have burned up, we are wondering whether we should go back to Sears. We've had two Sears canister vacuums, with our current one more than ten years old and running strong.

Tool Sets Review Flimsy folding joint
If you want a strong tool this is NOT for you. The folding joint broke within 3 or 4 weeks under normal household use. The rubber cups easily pull off metal studs. There is no place to get repairs. While the Gopher is really cheap, I now need to buy another one because it only lasted a month! I found the original version of this product called the ArcMate EZ Reacher and it's guaranteed forever! The price is twice the Gopher but the durability and guarantee make it a better bargain. The Gopher product seems to be a cheap knock-off of the more durable ArcMate reachers.

Tool Sets Review Gopher- no replacement parts?!
When I saw the tv ads for the Gopher I knew it was just what I needed and my husband ordered the deluxe set for me. I used them constantly to reach and grab things as I have a herniated disk in my lower back and am not supposed to bend over or reach above my head. I gave one to my grandfather and used the other one until the cable snapped about a year later(the locking mechanism broke first). Just like others have shared here, this product is not able to pick up 5 lbs. and the suction cups are always coming unscrewed. We replaced both (so I can have one upstairs and down), only buying 1 Gopher. I recently accidentally stepped on the Gopher and broke one of the suction cups and am disappointed there is no replacement part available. I will try gluing it back on as I don't feel like investing in another one at this time or buying another EZ Reacher by Arcoa(at $20) since they are not as convenient. I bought the EZ Reacher from the local hardware store when I couldn't find any Gophers and I liked it's heavy-duty capability. The suction cups are bolted on and there is no inner cable that can break. However, it does not have a locking mechanism and can't be folded. Finally, it would be nice for such a useful tool as the Gopher (or any of its counterparts) to be better designed and more reliable, but I guess that's asking too much of a "bargain" tool.

Tool Sets Review A handy tool to have around...
I have had one of these for a few years and used it occassionally to reach things up high. Recently, I broke my ankle and have been confined to my recliner for the most part. This tool has become very important to me to be able to get things I need without calling someone to help me. I am ordering an extra pair to keep around the house.

For those of you who haven't been able to find replacement suction cups, they are available online from Ontel products at [...]

Tool Sets Review Another
This Bit Set is one of the biggest pieces of junk I have ever made the mistake of purchasing. The outer case was bent to the point where the lid does not close. The rivets used to attach the hinges were loose. The rivets used to attach the bit carriers to the case had been barely set. Some of the smaller bits were so short they could only be retreived by using tweezers. The length of the bits was bizzare at best. That is, some small diameter bits were an inch longer than other bits with twice the diameter. There was no progression in bit length; instead, the lengths seemed to be totally random. The entire package arrived reeking of oil and the bits were obviously oily. The so-called titanium finish (and it WAS only a finish) looked more like someone had heated the bits in a very hot flame. [...].

Tool Sets Review Nice price, great variety... sloppy manufacturing
As one reviewer pointed out, several of the bits are indeed not straight. When first shipped to me, I noted the 5/32 bit was truncated significantly as compared to the rest. I examined the shank and presumed it was inadvertently sheared. I also examined the linear ability of several of the bits--not linear. So, I sent the set back and had a new one resent. Guess what? Same thing. I therefore concluded that Yukon's press makes the 5/32 bit that short. Someone messed up big time when establishing the template for the bit's length. Attention to detail, Yukon!
And, just like the first set, several of the bits are not linear. On top of that, even though the bits are sharpened as split points, it would help if Yukon put a little more effort into actually sharpening them! Yikes.
All and all, if you need to purchase a set of assorted bits because (very simply, you don't have any), this is a fine choice. Just as long as you have the Drill Doctor on stand by. ;)

Tool Sets Review I love my set
I love my set, I looked at the other reviews some which were older and decided to buy and wasnt at all disapointed. They came in a well made box, well oiled which is important to me,
an index chart which is very helpful. The quality is not that of the $... USA made sets out there but for my general wood and metal use its great. I also contacted the manufacture to ask a question and they were very helpful and sent me a drill bit usage guide by email.

Tool Sets Review No suction
This vacuum cleaner is very cute and practical(you can vacuum under the furniture) but at 8 amps, it is not powerful enough for carpet. I bought mine at best Buy for less than $50 and returned it.

Tool Sets Review Does what I expect a straight suction vacuum cleaner to do...
I think this is a nice little vacuum cleaner for the price. I've used it 5 times now and not once have any of the wands come apart, (to be fair I've expected them to based on earlier reviews, as well as, an older small straight suction vac cleaner I have from Hoover which does this all the time and a Shark with the same problem that I just gave away).

I've found the suction to be excellent for its size and amps,(I can only guess that an earlier reviewer's complaint about this wasn't taking into account that the bag was ripped, hence no suction), and I was surprised at what it did pick up on carpets.

To be frank, I don't expect a straight suction vacuum cleaner of any brand to work on carpets beyond picking up the weekly dust.

I bought this to compliment the Hoover S3765-040 Wind Tunnel Electronic bagless I bought recently, which is excellent (minus some personal nits I have on bagless vacs). Having two cats means a lot of loose hair on a daily basis, as well as, the dust from cat litter. Which is why I got this little guy.

For me small vacs aren't meant to do the same as a $400.00 and up vacuum cleaner and I don't get why some reviewers seem to think they should. For me, this acts as a quickie cleaner that complements the power vac I have. It's not going to get the major cat hair off the carpets (that's why I have the Wind Tunnel), but it does get the stuff that a broom, Swiffer or powerstick isn't quite up to.

I use this in my kitchen (hardwood flooring), to get the crumbs, cat hair, etc. that a Swiffer just can't keep up with. Especially with the 2 aforementioned cats.

I use it on the first floor to pick up tracked litter and litter dust that accumulates quickly.

I was surprised that this had enough suction to pick up some loose cat hair on the carpet and dirt tracked in from the garage as well, so I'm very pleased with this vac.

I like that it's lightweight and easily carted between levels (and living in a 3 story townhouse, trust me, it gets annoying fast lugging a heavier vac up and down the steps). It allows me to stretch the time between "major" vacuuming days so for me, its a good machine.

If you're looking for a vac to really clean shag or pile carpets then you have to get one with a power nozzle. If you want a small vac to clean the tiled or wood floors around the house, the inside of your car, and the cat litter muck, then this is a very good vac.

Tool Sets Review The Little Orange......That Could
Great little vaccum for those, I hate a dust buster people, like myself. Works great for those little jobs around the house. We also use them at work.

Tool Sets Review Leaves carpets wet and hard floors drenched!
I purchased this today and was very excited to use it. Unfortunately, it's going back to the store asap. As mentioned before, there's no steam. There's also no brush action. The "power" hand tool that came with mine is not attached to any power source.

I was most disappointed, however, when I tried to use the dry floor attachment with my tile floors. It left them as wet as if I spilled a glass of water--there's no extraction power whatsoever there. The carpets are quite damp, but should dry. I did see a difference in the cleanliness of the carpets, but not enough to make this worth the money.

All-in-all, this is a cheap product that uses misleading statements to represent itself as something it's not.

Buyer beware.

Tool Sets Review Steam Vac?
Very Misleading carpet cleaner name "Steam Vac". Where is the steam? There is no steam, just hot water that gets cold very fast. I used mine around the house and it made the carpets wet...did not do much to the stains. I rented a steam Cleaner and it did a lot better. For the money I will just rent for a large job. For the small stuff a brush and a small bucket of carpet shampoo in hot water will do the same or better.

Tool Sets Review Hoover Does It Again!
I love the fact that Hoover knows how to make house cleaning easier. This was the first product my husband purchased for me and its jewel. I use it not only for carpets and furniture but to clean out my car carpets and seats. What could be simpler that pouring hot water and the solution into it and letting it do all the work. Way to go Hoover!
