Wrenches Review A good saw for the money
Well first of all the fence is junk,or at least for my uses, and the blade is too, as noted by the previous review. But dont get me wrong, this is a vey good saw,but it could be better. The refinement is not as high as compared to the bigfoot. The saw works well though, but if your welling to sacrifice a few inches and dollars id saw get the bigfoot, but all in all this is a fine machine but could be better.

Wrenches Review Big Saw Big Cut
This is the beam saw. Perfect cuts in 6x stock slow, but steady must use carbide blade. The steel blade that comes with it makes a handy wall decoration thats about it. The competition? Prazi? well if you like chainsaw finish on your house go for it. you could probably put a beaver in a harness and get a smoother result.

Wrenches Review Big bad and ugly
This is one cool tool. It has plenty of power for cutting whatever you want to. I bought the carbide blade for it and found it much better as expected. I think Makita should include this with the price we pay for the saw. The one they put on it at the factory is a joke. They know it's not good enough and you'll be back for the cabide blade. Oh well. That's how it works. Other than that the saw is great. If you are wondering about the amp rating on the motor, don't. It has plenty of juice for deep cutting. The brake is phenomenal ! It stops the blade right now and you'd better be holding on tight or it may jump out of your hands. If you need this kind of cutting capacity , you can't go wrong with this unit

Wrenches Review SO MAYBE THERE IS A GOD --
BECAUSE FOR YEARS I HAVE BEEN PRAYING FOR AN ANGLE DRIVER THAT ACTUALLY WAS WORTH BUYING. WELL EVERYONE, ESPECIALLY MILLWORK INSTALLERS AND CABINET MAKERS, LOOK NO FURTHER AND PRAY FOR SOMETHING ELSE.
OK, STILL AREN'T CONVINCED? WELL ASIDE FROM RELATIVELY AMAZING TORQUE COMPARED TO ANY OTHER CORDLESS ANGLE DRILL, YOU ALSO GET THE IMPACT FEATURE AND THE ABILITY TO GET INTO EVEN SMALLER AREAS
COMPARED TO THE DEWALT AND THE OTHER (OUTDATED) MAKIA 9.6 V. THIS DRILL WILL DRIVE A 3" SCREW INTO PINE, WITHOUT PREDRILLING IN SOME CASES.

Wrenches Review Don't underestimate this gem
I've already written a review about how much I love all Makita impact drivers, however, if any one model gets a special mention, it's this one. No where do you need the benefits of an impact driver more then in a small crampt location with no room to get behind the screw for more push. With the benefits of impact, (less cam out, greater torque, needs less pressure behind the screw, etc.) this tool is a hands down winner. I gave one to a friend who is a cabinet maker and he is talking about buying a second just in case it ever gets discontinued. Every person I know who uses this tool swears by it. Get a full set of 1/4" drive bits like the DeWalt Rapid Load Set. Throw both in a work bag and your set. Just make sure that any bits you buy are full shank with an indent. Otherwise, they don't stay in the chuck. But one trick is to keep one of those short phillips heads in your bag because in a pinch, loading it trims an additional 3/4" off your already incredibly low tool width at the head with bit. That get you into just about anything. Just the bit has a tendency to fall out since it's missing that indent. I use both this impact driver and the full size models and honestly could not live without them. (Actually I probably would live but very unhappily.)

Wrenches Review CST/Berger
I have had this transit for a few years and it works great. I would have liked to get a laser, but to find one that is as accurate 1/16 at 150' was more than I wanted to spend. I am very pleased with the Berger. Setup is easy, I only have one problem the rod you get, the markings on it are good for shooting longer distances but when you get closer they are a bit to thick, other than that it's a great tool. I did buy a longer rod and on the back side of the rod they have smaller markings.

Wrenches Review Berger 24x Auto Level
I found that the Berger level is easy to set up,and use. It's accuracy is 1/16 at 150' better than most laser level's.The only thing I would have done diffrent is upgraded the sighting rod from an 8' to a 16'. I found that doing some footing work where I was 42" down and my level was set on grade, I was unable to see the leveling rod, other than that I have no problems with the level, and I'm happy with my purchase.

Wrenches Review LEVEL PLAYING FIELD
This level is simple to use. I like the fact that the compensator ( the self leveling mechanisim) can be locked in place for set up and storage by pushing a button. It has a five year warranty. It also has a 1 foot minimum focus. Th pentaprisim is an extremely usefull feature for easy bubble viewing. It also includes carrying case, lens cover, plumb bob, allen wrench adjusting pins, rod, tripod, and instructions.

Wrenches Review A well designed finish nailer
I just bought this nailer and have found it to work well. To get an idea of its capabilities, I tried to sink 2 1/2 inch finish nails into a stack of solid quartersawn oak scraps. Air pressure was about 90 psi. It flush nailed one time, but the other three or four times about 1/4 inch of the nail remained exposed. There was also quite a bit of recoil. However, when I switched to 2 inch long nails, it counter sunk them effortlessly in the quartersawn oak with no recoil. I can't think of any situation when I'll be nailing against the grain of 2 1/2 inches of oak, so my test probably doesn't reflect real world situations. It can easily sink a 2 1/2 inch nail through 1 inch of oak with softwood lumber backing. Since the nailer is rated to 120 psi, it might have been able to countersink a 2 1/2 nail into 2 1/2 inches of solid oak if I had given it more than 90 psi, but I didn't test that.

I've used the Bostitch angled finish nailer at work and like it too. The Hitachi seems a little more powerful than the Bostitch though. The Bostitch flush fired a 2 inch nail into solid quartersawn oak whereas the Hitachi countersunk that nail. Since the Hitachi uses the same nails as Senco and Porter Cable, a greater selection of nails (both in terms of lengths and quantities) is available.

I don't mind lubricating the Hitachi with oil and haven't observed it sending any onto work surfaces. I'm in the habit of lubricating my nailers and staplers, but if you'd rather not bother with pneumatic oil, then the Bostitch may be a better fit for you. Either way, you probably can't go wrong.

Update (1 month later): Our Bostich finish nailer at work has been constantly misfeeding nails recently, so I've switched over to using my Hitachi in all situations, except when I don't have the right size nail on the jobsite for it. Then I resort to the Bostich and adjust the nail feeder before firing each nail: it's tedious.

Wrenches Review Fulltime Finish Carpenter
I currently run four Hitachi, three Senco, and two Max finish nailers. The Hitachi NT65MA is the best nailer I have. It is very light with minimal recoil. It has enough power to sink nails in maple effortlessly. It is stone cold reliable- it has never broken a driver after four years of fulltime use. The safety works well without marring. It shoots the Senco DA series (also UA) nail which has become the defacto industry standard. Hitachi appears to have spared no effort in designing and building the best 2 1/2" finish nailer.

Wrenches Review EVERYDAY TRIM NAILER
I PURCHASED THIS NAILER IN SEPTEMBER AND HAVE HAD GREAT SUCCESS SO FAR. WITH THE ANGLED HEAD YOU CAN GET INTO VERY TIGHT PLACES WITH EASE. THIS NAILER CAN BE USED FOR ANY TYPE OF TRIM( BASE, CASING, DOOR JAMBS, CROWN, ETC..). THIS IS A VERY REASONABLE PRICE FOR THE DUTIES IT CAN PERFORM!

Wrenches Review Do your shelf a favor Buy IT!
You need one of these if you have ever used a electric one with not enough power. This wrench is incredibly light and very rugged. If you have an air compressor you have to buy this, it has great power and does a very good job in a very small package.

Wrenches Review Big things come in small packages
The old saying, Big things come in small packages, is true. This product from IR is outstanding. You get the comfort and usability in the 3/8 model but with the 1/2 inch anvil. I was somewhat skeptical of the power but no problems exist. I use it as my daily tire and suspension gun now for 3 months with no problems. Just remember to oil daily. The stress of the heavy jobs on the 3/8 motor could be a problem if not properly maintained. In all it's a great buy for the tool man.

Wrenches Review Big performance, small package.
The IR-2112 is a handful especially when you consider how small and comfortable it is. I can work with this thing all day long. Don't let it's small size and light weight fool you. I'd stack it against some of the other 1/2 impact wrenches anyday!

Wrenches Review Excellent!
What a perfect tool for cutting Hardi-Backer, sheetrock, and thin boards. Easy depth setting, good dust collection (especially when hooked to a vacuum with the built dust port), and lightweight. Need to cut out a section of drywall without going too deep? Set the depth, mark the wall, and start cutting. Much faster than any other tool. Wish it had a case for it, but oh well. Can't have everything!

Wrenches Review Good but sad news
THis item had been discontinued by Makita . ALl gone! RIP!

Wrenches Review Best saw for specialty remediation
Our company has been using this saw for several years with great results. In an environment where low dust is tolerated this is the saw to use. We use it with metal cutting blades and have acheived great results.

Wrenches Review Makita 9227CX3 7" Electronic Sander-Polisher
Excellent tool. The polisher is easy to control once you get the hang of it. It easily, quickly, and with plenty of power applied the liquid car wax I was using. The tool felt well balanced and well behaved. The speed control is delightful to experience - maintains the same speed under load or no load conditions.

The tool came with two bonnets, one to apply compound and another for final polishiing. The compounding bonnet is the only one I used since I discovered this same bonnet also polishes to a deep luster as the wax you're applying hazes over - the bonnet polishes this haze to nice deep shine. I also used a small spray bottle of water to wet small areas to help spread the wax - it worked great. I am ordering two new compounding bonnets for spares. Suggest you test out the bonnets and find out for yourself before ordering more....

I am really happy with this tool, and I feel it is well worth the money. I highly recommend it to anyone looking to buy a similar tool.

Wrenches Review The best available
The Makita 9227 buffer is one of the top two if not the best available. It has more than enough power and with the electronic speed control, maintains RPMs even when putting pressure on the tool if used as a sander/grinder. The handle is probably the best feature of this tool, giving you great control when buffing/polishing.

Wrenches Review makita 9227cx3 polisher
Great polisher, easy to use, plenty of power,I would highly recomend the polisher to anyone.I dont like the polishing pads that came with it(they work good but get fuzz everywhere)I planned on getting foam pads anyway.

Wrenches Review pipe wrench
I like the light weight of this pipe wrench. The tool is plenty strong.

Wrenches Review Durable and lightweight
Everyone know that Rigid makes excellent equipment. These 18" pipe wrenches are no exception. They are lightweight and durable. I was a field engineer working on industrial furnaces for a while and trying to carry all of the tools you need everywhere you go can be quite cumbersome to say the least.

I have never had any problems with them (I own 2 of them) and have done just about everything with them. If you have to use them a lot it won't take long to notice how much easier it is to do a job when your tools aren't weighing you down. If you need 18" pipe wrenches give these some serious consideration.

Wrenches Review Lightweight & Tough
Rigid has made the best pipe wrenches for decades. The Aluminum models are every bit as tough as their cast iron counterparts, only lighter. You do have to be more careful with aluminum if you are working around a torch, it can get heat damaged more easily.

I have used this 18" wrench for over 15 years, building and disassembling chemical loading systems of galvanized pipe. Mine has a little less paint on it, but the jaws are still sharp. The jaws are replacable, but I've never had to do that. I have also used this wrench for home plumbing projects, but it is a little large when working in a sink cabinet. I use it mainly as a "holder" in that duty, turning the fittings with a 10" wrench.

Rigid wrenches will not fail you if you give them a little respect!

Wrenches Review Rousseau 3002 Router Lift LS
Having been a long time woodworker and used routers only as hand held, I made the jump to a Table top router.
As most woodworkers know changing bits can be cumbersome.
with the Rousseau its EZ. Another item is getting the correct depth is like pulling teeth without novocaine. This lift takes that out of the equation. I would recommend this to any novice or hardcore woodwork, it saves time and knuckles.

Wrenches Review Great router lifter
The router lifter did everything I could ask for and more. Ran 2,200 lineal feet of stock through the unit without any problems. Well worth the cost. A great addition to my collection.

Wrenches Review Precise Router Lift.
What it is: This is a JessEm Rout-R-Lift FX router lift, bolted to a much thickened phenolic Rousseau mounting plate. It appears to made of machined aluminum and/or alloy, possibly with some steel, most of which has a anodized finish. The tolerances are very tight and it operates very smoothly. This device fits in all Rousseau and the Bosch RA1200 router tables.

What it does: It allows for extreme precise height adjustment. Using a hex bolt atop simply turn to the right to raise or left to lower. It is that simple, no need to loosen something first or tighten after. One full turn equals 1/16" with numbers at 1/64" intervals and marks at every 1/512" in between. It lifts full up in around 30-40 turns for easy above the table bit changes.

Assembly: I was able to unlatch the quick-release cam lock level, drop in the router motor and latch with out adjusting anything right out of the box. A 7/16" bolt is used to tighten or loosen the tension if needed.

Was it worth it: The speed and accuracy of adjusting bit height is incredible. As is, removing and installing the router motor off the lift, which has no effect on previous setting. This allows for true one router motor for all bases. 5 stars.

Wrenches Review The way hand tools ought to be
I'm not a big tool junkie, but there's no mistaking the quality of these tools. All the MaxGrip tools I've tried have been outstanding, and this one was no different. They're rock-solid and extremely comfortable. You'll never want to use a tool with bare-metal handles again.

Wrenches Review Great solid wrench for the money
Compared to other adjustable wrenches near this price. This is one is hard to beat. The handle is a major point it's round and fits in the hand without the feel of the standard flat wrench, plus the rubber grip helps really apply torque
