Excellent at the price
easy to useThis thing is very easy to use. It is light, and the wheel turning acts like a gyroscope, steadying it. It cuts, grinds, sands and anything else you could think of without boging down. It was also very cheap. It is high quality and I expect it to last a long time.

I love itThis is a solid, heavy-duty impact wrench using 1/2 inch sockets. It comes without a case or sockets. It is powerful, easily driving 5/8" lags (5 inches) into old, very hard wood (with a pilot hole). I had a small job to do but it was worth the money for this wrench.
ALOT BETTER THEN PORTACABLE'S MODLETHIS PRODUCT OUT PROFORMS ALL OF THE OTHER ELECTRIC IMPACTS I OWNED.THIS ONE IS NOT SUBJECT TO OVERHEATING AT ALL.I BULID DECKS FOR ALIVING AND WHEN MY LAST ON BROKE I DECIDED TO GIVE THIS WRENCH A SHOT.THIS WRENCH HAS POWERTO SPARE BECIDES YOU CAN DROP IT BET THE HE[CK] OUT OF IT AND IT STILL WOUNT BRAKE.THIS TOOL IS BY FAR THE BEST AVABLE.

Buy this saw- NOW.I don't need to mention the quality and reliability of Milwaukee products. It goes without saying. But I want to mention the unbelievable service. I was given this reconditioned saw a few weeks ago as a gift. It was in near mint condition with all of the accessories, case, and blade intact. I noticed that there was a fdeep scratch in the shoe, so I called the service number for advice about either grinding it out or getting a replacement. To make a long story short, they immediately sent me a replacement shoe UPS no questions asked. Whereas some companies would have made me bring the saw back for this minor glitch, Milwaukee stepped up to the plate and got the issue resolved in the most expeditious manner possible. Based on this treatment, I will not hesitate to purchase Milwaukee products in the future. By the way, the thing works perfectly, and the tilt-lok feature is incredibly handy- I'm left handed and any leverage advantage I can get is much appreciated!
Rip awayOutstanding value compared to other products with such robust specs as 7 " blade and 3 HP. I didn't feed it anything overly massive - standard 2x4 pine, oak, some plywood and mdf - which didn't even give it a pause. The cuts were clean - which was not expected with the standard blade. Repeated use was not laborious with the overall light weight and handle design. Well balanced and everything in the right place - this from a history of B&D and Dewalt loyalty and use. Biggest job change was a bit more safety and attention required with the lack of electric break. Five stars because it does everything I asked of it.

Surprisingly good...I didn't have high expectations for this saw because it was [low in price] and the bottom of the Hitachi line, but I was pleasently surprised. It seems like Hitachi cut back on the accessories to get the price low, but the basic saw is really nice. It's pretty powerful, accurate and easy to use. It really is more useful with the optional extenders (Hitachi #317542) but you can jerry-rig something together on a table. Really a great value. Note the fact that this is not a compound saw.
Great ProductGreat product! cuts smooth and fast. never a problem.

Car nut from ILI use this tool to change tires on my cars (and I do it often ;-), and it is simply awesome! It saves me so much time. I still use my regular torque wrench to finish tightening of the lug bolts to the exact specifications, but Makita 6911HDWA helps me in changing tires not only in my garage, but at the race track as well. This model of Makita is less expensive than another highly recommended alternative Snap On, and it does the job well.
Makita ImpactI have 5 of these impacts and could not live without them.....I supply them to my guys and the ones without them complain that they can't do the work without them....I highly praise these on price point.....did i mention that they are built like trucks and that I have not destoyed one yet....(EDIT)-motors went on 2 of the impacts and since they were less than 1 year into life they were repaired for free...I,m here to buy 2 more if that helps anyone

Great for sheet materialThe reason I bought this terrific, little cordless tool is that it's much better than my Bosch jigsaw at trimming plywood flooring in a tight attic crawlspace. It's great for cutting room subflooring, too, when I'm going around on my knees and don't want to fool with pulling a cord. Now, I reach for this Makita cordless saw instead of dragging out the jigsaw or (gasp) my big, old Black&Decker circular saw, when I only need to trim up small pieces for blocking around plumbing and wiring boxes. I like how it makes bevel cuts, too. This Makita has plenty of power to mow through 7/8 inch sheathing, or 2x wood in two passes, and goes a long way on a single charge. It's great for cutting drywall, too! And the carring case and rip fence make this package a really good buy! Way to go, Makita!
Light in Weight - Heavy in CuttingI use this saw a lot. I bought this saw to do "light duty" panel work. But, after ripping and cross-cutting hundreds of sheets of 1/8" & 1/4" paneling and hardboard, I have to say that this makita saw is anything but light duty. I use the 2.2nmh batteries with it and just love the light weight and no cords to hassle with. Lugging out a "big" circular saw with a cord to cut large panels is a real pain. With the makita cordless it's truly painless and MUCH quieter. This saw sold me on the makita brand. Of my cordless tools I only use makita, and I love all of them!

I Love itI love this impact. It is a great size, and the power of it is remarkable. I only wish I had bought it long ago. Having two batteries is a plus. You never run out of power when you need it.
Ultra-Awesome-Super-Tool is here!I build racing engines for a living and in our shop we have two of these beauties. We use them so much we often change batteries several times a day. No more speed wrenches or rachets. Just one of these and a torque wrench and you are set. Don't know how I could get by without it now.

Stolen! Cant ReviewSorry, I can't review this wrench.
It and all my other tools were nabbed
by some unscrupled fool.
The case looked good as well as the tool.
They must have needed it more than me!!

Well worth the moneyI originally purchased the Milwaukee to remove the crankshaft pulley bolt on my Honda, but couldn't get it off the first time. The garage torqued it way too much the last time I had the timing belt changed so I paid a local garage mech ten dollars to break it free. As it turns out, even the garage air impact wrench had a little trouble and that guy could deliver 600 ft-lb or torque. He retorqued it enough to get home and I was able to do everything else just fine.
Everything else went well and the Milwuakee had no trouble removing lug nuts and other nuts/bolts. How much torque applied depends on how hard you push on the tool. The lowest torque is 100 ft-lb and I guessed when torquing the crankshaft bolt to 130 ft-lb. That and a little Medium grade Loktite should keep things nice and tight until the next time.
There are similar models, but there are several things I like about this impact wrench above the others. The first big thing I liked is the variable speed which is nice when you just want to snug-up a nut or bolt. I also like it over the rocker switch since it is similar to working a drill. The second big thing I liked about the wrench is the switch for switching between forward and reverse. Again, this is a directional switch similar to a drill. The last thing I liked about the kit is that it comes with a case and a few sockets. This may be minor, but being that I'm not using the tool all of the time, it's nice to have it nicely packed away and ready to grab when needed. The sockets only add to the value since these can get expensive. With the current $25 discount for purchases over $199, it only makes sense to spend a little more and get a lot more.
I'll be using it again for mounting a tow hitch and other general automotive work. Well worth buying.

The Best of the BestI have used Panasonic cordless drills for 10+ years now and can tell you that they are by far the best cordless product out there.I have a 15.6 volt drill and have used and abused it for 7 years and it still works flawlessly. Would highly recommend getting a cordless Panasonic.
great comboI just received this set for putting up kitchen cabs and also used for drilling those pesky screws into cbu's. batteries last forever and ever. also charges my 18v panasonic batts in about an hour which is a plus. impact drill is super powerful and has good build quality. interesting that it is made in Japan and the drill is made in Mexico but both seem to be sturdy enough to withstand abuse.all in all I recommend.

Don't Forget to Factor in a Well Oraginzed CaseThe tools are top notched, but that is only half of it. The case is well organized and easy to snap the sockets in-and-out.
Great set of tools, great caseOver the years I have had many tool sets - especially socket sets. There's a reason for that - sockets easily fall out of the case when you open them and it is hard to keep things organized. Not so with this set. Each tool is secure in its own place - no falling out and getting lost. In addition the quality of the tools seems excellent. With both SAE and metric sizes this is a really nice set and the price is right.
A really great set of toolsI decided to purchase a real socket wrench set after I knocked my 15 year old cheep-o set on the floor one too many times - and got tired of putting everything back in the case.
First let me say that this case is designed so that WHEN you knock this set on the ground all the sockets stay in place. Second, this set is very well made and thought out. (For instance the metric and standard allen wrenches are different colors - so you can tell them apart at a glance.) These wrenches fit the hand just right and are a pleasure to use.
I highly recommend them.
A little safety warning. Grinders are extremely dangerous power tools because of the exposed very high speed spinning grinding wheel, and because of the great torque force when the wheel meets resistance. I was grinding through some angle iron when the wheel caught the material, ripping the tool out of my hands. I wasn't wearing gloves, was too lazy to screw in the side handle which would have given me a better grip, and was wearing shorts. My right knee was ripped open. I have a great looking ragged scar that took months to heal. On another occasion, when grinding concrete, I stood up and relaxed, and the still spinning wheel cut my left hand to the bone, barely missing a tendon. When using grinding or cutting tools, ALWAYS have solid footing, wear protective clothing, use the side handle or other safety devices if available, and try to stay alert. Duh!
In summary, this is a great tool. It has an excellent two position side handle. The switch has a constant-on option to allow full use of both hands. The gear case is metal and the housing is high impact plastic. It's powerful, well built, well designed, and unbelievably inexpensive. If it was stolen, I'd replace it with the same.
