Hammers Review From a Pro Contractor
I formerly had a Danair palm nailer and a Senco. The Senco had a leaky gasket that I had to tighten the bejeezus out of and it still leaked a little air. The Senco also came without any accessories. The Danair had a problem with the tip always coming loose. The padded leather grip was the nicest on the Danair. The Senco came bare metal. Without the leather grip it becomes very uncomfortable to use.
I use a Porter Cable now. I like that for the price it comes with several tips for different size nails. The leather grip is also standard. I have been using the Porter Cable for about two years now without a problem. I used it to nail 20d HD galvie commons . Using a hammer for such a large nail would likely leave a mark if you missed and all the heavy pounding would have been pretty tiring. I use the palm nailer for nailing tile backer, joist hangers, nailing in tight spots and for spikes. Changing tips is easy with the wrench supplied.
I only rated it four stars because the magnetic tip lost it's magnetism early on so now I have to hold every nail to start it. This palm nailer is the best value out there. It has held up to lots of abuse so far.

Hammers Review A complete package
The PN650 Palm Nailer Kit comes in a plastic case that has everything you need neatly packaged for use or storage. I like tool cases. Cases keep parts from getting lost, and tools from picking up excess dust and dirt while not being used. Nailers have small, interchangable parts that need safe storage. The PN650 does its job, and does it well. My first use for it was between deck joists and stair stringers where my framing nailer would not fit. Porter-Cable has a good reputation, and you won't go wrong with this kit.

Hammers Review What a great helper to have!
I thought I would add a recent review so that folks know this little guy is still fabulous. I have real wood siding and the nails tend to back out with the hot and cold, wet and dry expanding and contracting. I had many 10's of nails backed out 1 half inch or so. So this was a lifesaver - there is no way I could have done as good a job pushing so many existing nails back in with a hammer and nail set and not make a mess. Since the nails are set just below the surface level this really helped where the nail head was tilted or warped from the original nailing - a nailset would have been impossible. It's easy to control in terms of depth and quickly and easily put my old nails back where they belong.

Using it in new construction, I find that getting nails started straight takes a little practice. If the nail is not angled right, the tool makes short work of getting it driven in at the wrong angle. For precision work, starting the nail with a small hammer would help. A glove helps a lot to steady nails at the start. If you've got a lot of repetitive work (finish or framing, etc., an conventional nailer may be a better choice. But for occasional use, you can't be the price with this one.

It's also a bit noisy - like a giant woodpecker! But it's not louder than hammering nails conventionally, it's just a lot faster.

It's easy to hold and easy on the hands. I don't do a lot of work, and when I saw this I just had to have it, considering the price of finish and framing nailers. I've been really happy with it. It's perfect for the do-it-yourselfer.

Hammers Review The Last Saw I will Own.
I have to parrot the review of the man using the Freud blades.

The Milwaukee left blade saw with a nice fine tooth blade is a cabinet maker's best friend.

I traded a Ridgid worm drive saw for this one, and I've never been happier. Let me count the ways.

1.left hand blade: makes it easier to see the cut line, you're not cutting across yourself as with a standard blade saw.
2.handle position, the handle position being essentially centermass on the motor makes the saw more balanced than a worm drive
3.power, this Milwaukee has it, it's got all the power and drive of a worm saw, and I don't have to oil it.
4.A multi-position handle. You can adjust the handle position that of pushing the saw (like a worm drive), to almost pulling it and everything inbetween. Let me tell you, I've been in positions, cutting siding off a house handing off of scaffolding, and being able to customize my cut by moving the handle to an easier position makes the difference between a scary cut, and a nice safe day at the office, if you get me.

Final word, with the reputation of Milwaukee tools for durability, and this saws functionality, this may well be the last circular saw I own.

Hammers Review Plenty of power and a boon for lefties like me!
Typical Milwaukee quality - heft, balance, power and very good follow-through at the end of the cuts. Not every saw can do that, especially in dense material like 3/4" MDF. The saw doesn't bind, drag, moan or veer off-line in operation. Whenever I use a straightedge clamped to the workpiece as a cutting guide, this saw follows it straight and true effortlessly and with surprising speed. And, being a "leftie", it's a big plus to have a saw that fits my style AND that gives me different handle adjustments too. All-in-all, this an excellent value that is sure to please even the most persnickety end user.

Hammers Review Great saw
I'll state up-front that this is the only high-end circular saw that I've used to any degree but I don't see how any saw could top this one. I bought this saw, after much research, to replace a crummy old Skil saw I had. I gave consideration to the Porter Cable and DeWalt saws too, but this one seemed to stand out in my book - and in many of the reviews I read. I do wish it had the dust collection features of the PC though and a blade brake for added safety.

At the same time I purchased this saw, I also bought a Freud Diablo blade and put on it. I have used this combination to build a variety of ww'ing type projects and this saw had performed flawlessly. The saw has ample power, is well-built, and handles very easily.

I'm sure whatever your circular saw needs are, this saw is up to the task. Definately recommended.

Hammers Review THIS COMBO IS A MUST HAVE!!!
I had this kit for less than 1 month and cannot tell you how many times I have used it..I just built some shelves for my mom and it was a breeze having the cordless conveinence but furthormore the circular saw does not stop..I ripped down some boards with no problem and it has plenty of power. I did look at dewalt circular saw and the milwaukee is built 10 TIMES BETTER..
Dewalts cordless drills seem fine but I think milwaukee is built with tough standards..Buy this combo you will not be dissapointed...I know this was the best purchase I made!!! Hope this helps...

Hammers Review Tried Dewalt and took it back.
I tried an entry-level Ryobi quad-pack (at the Orange store) with circular saw, sawzall, 1/2 drill, and flashlight. Not all that bad for $199.00, but I needed a hammerdrill and wanted longer battery life as well as more precision tools. I bought the Dewalt saw and hammer/drill and found it was physically impossible to make one-handed 45's with the saw. Very clumsy "safety" switch, probably ends up being somewhat dangerous considering what you have to do to be able to finally pull the trigger switch.

I then discovered Milwakee's saw/hammerdrill combo on Amazon, all I cold find was the higher item count sets at the Orange store. I am extremely happy with my choice. Some of my oldest tools are Milwakee and I have no reason to get new as they are tough and capable ene though 25 years old (sawzall and 1/2" angle drill, both have lot of miles on them).

One thing no one has mentioned is the brake on the saw. Let go of the switch and it stops instantly, something my wormdrive and other circulars don't do. When it comes to safety, that is right up there as far as effective. A coasting cirluar can do a lot of damage, if it gets away from you. Safety switches and blade gaurds are questionable in the final analysis, but without them, the lawyers would be driving bigger cars, I suppose.

Another reason I bought this saw was, aside from the incredible conveinece, is it is light and well balanced and at 60, I'm just not as strong as I used to be. This saw is light comparatively speaking.

Hammers Review Just plain excellent! These tools ROCK!
I am a homeowner and hobby woodworker. I purchased this set of cordless tools after using a friend's DeWalt set. Milwaukee sends DeWalt to the back of the line in quality, ruggedness, power, you name the category. You want to see a friend cringe with envy, pull this set out while he is using his DeWalt. I chose this set from shopping in the local stores and using Amazon's reviews. Thanks everyone who posted five stars, you all were right. This is one of my first reviews on anything, I usually don't take the time, but I just had to tell the world about this set of Milwaukee tools. Simply, these tools ROCK!

Hammers Review Great product and very tough
I have just recently purchased this framing nailer and have been very pleased with it. It is built tough and is very easy to use. I was worried about it being heavy but that isn't the case.

Hammers Review Easy to handle and powerful...
I bought one of these guns back in the beginning of 2004. I have 4 now. It's very well balanced. It drives 3 1/4 nails in lam beams with ease. As long as the preasure is right on the compressor. I like the switch on the trigger for the sequential or bump fire. And then the depth knob on the nose is handy too. I sold off my two Dewalts, two Sencos, and Craftsman framers because I never used them after I got this one. It loads like a Senco from the bottom of slide. Makes for a quick reload. Mine all have cases too which is nice. The only framer I have beside these guns is my Paslode. This gun is the right size with short magazine gets into tight spots. I have only had one problem with one them the drive broke but it was under warranty. If you want a gun that will please and take a beating at good price get this one.

Hammers Review Who needs sheetrock?!
I'm a computer nerd with an air compressor & pnumatic power tools. The only thing more dangerous is a father with a camcorder. I know this because I have all the above. I bought this clipped head nailer to finish off the basement, to build an office for myself to give the family more room upstairs. This thing works GREAT! This is so awesome. I put up a new wall in NO TIME, then I started looking for more projects. Standard building code puts studs 16" apart, such restraints are unnecessary when you wield such power as this. Be careful as you may find yourself nailing studs perpindicular just to keep the adrenaline flowing, or worse, tearing out old sheetrock walls to see if they "have enough support". You'll start looking for projects once you have this. I bought this because it was cheaper to buy a $100 air compressor and this $200 gun than pay someone $500 in labor to put a wall up for me [Insert Tim the tool-time Taylor grunt here]. My wife fears that we're going to be living in the next Winchester Mansion and has forbidden me from buying any more nails. No worries though, I'm not even half way through the first box of 2,500. Muhahahahaha!

Hammers Review Wish I would have bought it sooner
As a DIY'er, I was hesitant to spend this kind of money for something that I was just going to use for home improvement projects. However, after a year of struggling with trying to dig in my rock-hard clay soil, I finally gave in. I haven't been disappointed!

Since this is the only demo-hammer I've used, I really can't compare it to anything else, but I'm very happy with the tool's performance and quality. Using this beast is a little bit of a workout, but I'm sure it's much easier than trying to handle a full sized jack - especially if you have any horizontal hammering to do. So far I've used it to dig out a good sized footer for a retaining wall, trench for drainage/irrigation lines, demolish a BBQ island built from concrete block, and break out a small area of 4" concrete sidewalk. What a timesaver!

Hammers Review Bosch--The Best
Very durable, reliable, quality is outstanding, it gives never ending power, can count on it everytime to get the job done. I highly recommend this great tool.

Hammers Review Quality makes all the Difference! High Quality = Bosch!
I am trilled with this hammers performance. hands down Bosch is the Best!! Bosch craftmanship is superior, no complaints what so ever. I highly recommend

Hammers Review The strongest drill you'll ever need
This drill puts others to shame. Drilling through the toughest material, this one has enough torque to get the job done, and still more to spare. The limit to what you can get done with this tool is determined not by the torque that the drill puts out, but by your own strength--when the bit binds on you, the drill will literally wrench itself out of your hands. The warning that the Amazon review gives is apt; new users should be careful with this behemoth because it has more power than you might think. Screw on the secondary, perpendicular handle to keep a hold on this monster as it bores through wood, concrete, asphalt, metal--the tool can handle it all. But can you handle the tool?

Hammers Review Survived a flood
In addition to being an outstanding tool for electrical and plumbing, mine survied 3" of water. I let it dry out, cleaned up the outside and it runs like new still. The self-feed bits pull it through the heaviest 2" solid, dry, and well aged oak -- without burning the wood. And its not just for pros. Anyone who has to do electrical, plumbing, or has to drill through studs or heavy wood, will benefit from this tool.

Hammers Review Made my remodelling job so much easier.
I had to do a pretty big remodolling project on my grandma's house (new plumbing, electrical, etc.) and this drill made to job much easier. Boring through doubled joists and top plate didn't phase this drill at all.

I do take the warning I've heard to heart though. I suspect that if one wasn't careful and let the drill bind up, it has plenty of strenght to break you wrist or mash any limbs that got caught between it and the structure.

I'd like to get more of the Milwaukee self feeding bits. I have the 2 9/16 bit and with this drill, it cuts through studs and flooing like butter.

Hammers Review The Best
I have a lot of hammers. This is the best. A joy to use. What else can I say.

Hammers Review A fine mighty hammer
The art of making a good hammer isn't exactly new. This claw hammer isn't too different therefore from the claw hammers of our fathers or our father's fathers. This hammer does absorb the impact very well, and is very lightweight for its strength. The hammer is made by Stanley, so you know its going to be a good quality construction, but there is really nothing here that is much different from any other hammer. Its not laser guided and doesn't have GPS tracking, but it is reliable when it comes to knocking nails into things.

Hammers Review WOW!
Amazing hammer. Works like a hot darn. Easy to hold when it gets wet. Packs quite the punch but does not feel awkward. My only complaint is the checkered face on mine wore down very quickly, not a huge deal however. It sure has made the tendonitis clear up in my elbow. Keep up the good work Stanley!

Hammers Review Singing hammer
I recently purchased this tool and find it to be a very good product. My only complaint is an annoying "ping" upon contact with a nail. For almost two hundred dollars, I do not want my hammer to "sing" all day long while driving nails. It is easy on the elbow and wrist and does drive nails very well. My 12 hammers I own in my remodeling business still get more use than the TiBone. I am thinking of selling it after only one day of use. I have not tried the smooth face head so I can only report that the milled face head makes the ping noise. I have emailed manufacturer about this but have received a reply.

Hammers Review Good Hammer
I've had this hammer for two weeks and so far its been great.
It is exactly the same weight as my wooden handled hammer and approx the same build. It drives identical as my wooden one but has a much lighter feel even though its the same weight. You also don't have to worry about breaking the handle like a wooden one.Don't buy this if your trying to help your tennis elbow or if you think you'll save the 200.00 dollars by being faster, just buy it cause it's neat looking, high tech and its a new tool to look forward to getting to break up those long work days.

Hammers Review The best hammer I have ever owned bar none.
I used the good o'l estwings 22oz. for many years since I was 14 to be about precise. Then I started trying some new things I bought that new fiberglass thing estwing had and it flopped. I switched to a wood handled craftsman cali-framer for about a year and got tired of breaking-em even though they replace for free. I searched this hammer for 4 months and read every review there is on it and then I made the decision to buy it. The price is big but the payoff is bigger! This thing glides. It not only lightens up your belt it hits just as hard as those big wooden and steel guys. I still drive 12d's and 16d's in 2 hits with it and I feel I can swing it all day. It is balanced very well and every one on my crew now wants one. The only thing i seen wrong with it is the handle frayed just a little where it meets the neck but poses no real problem, happened to all those other hammers as well. If you build houses like I do GET THIS THING you will never be sorry and you will never leave your tool belt on the job at lunch either. I also turned round and got that nail puller to. she a bute. feels like nothin's in your hand and it five times stronger than steel. It will definetly increase the worth of your belt 2-3 fold I guarantee.

Hammers Review Excellent hammer for lighter work
This hammer is an excellent complement to a full-fledged framing hammer. Because it has a shorter handle than the Estwing framing hammers, it works great for sheathing roofs and roofing, as well as other closer-in work. Still has the rip claw like a framing hammer. The 20 oz. weight gives it the right punch to drive nails without being unwieldy. The new shock-reducing handle does seem to work. Certainly softer than the old handle style.

Hammers Review Solid, well-crafted hammer.
I purchased my Estwing 20 oz. Vinyl Grip Rip Claw Hammer from a certain Blue store recently. Although it costs more than other hammers, the Estwing is superior due to its simple one-piece design. During a long day of installing wood siding with this hammer recently, I appreciated its flawless weight distribution and rigidity. The grip is of excellent design and proves comfortable day after day on the job-site. After a redesign from previous generations (which I have occationally used), the new grip material is softer, thereby reducing vibration noticably over previous models.

Hammers Review My grandkids will be using this hammer!
Let me start by saying that I am not a contractor and I don't use my tools for a living. Having said that, I do all of my own home repair/renovation work and at one point or another I have built everything from furniture to room additions to a 24' by 40' pole barn. I have owned this hammer for a long time - at least 6-8 years, and although the metal has tarnished to a dark grey it is still in as good of shape as the day I bought it. The face has remained very flat and true and the handle grip is holding up just fine. I love the balance of this hammer and the weight is just right for jobs like framing where power is more important than finesse.

All in all this is what I would consider a useful and indestructible tool at a great price.
