The Titanium head is awsome, But in 5 years I've Gone threw 25-30 Curved Graphite handle's, But the handle's are replaceable the head is what makes this hammer. You can go from framing to finish with the same hammer. 100% Satisfaction Guaranted

Claw Hammers Review The Best
I have a lot of hammers. This is the best. A joy to use. What else can I say.

Claw Hammers Review A fine mighty hammer
The art of making a good hammer isn't exactly new. This claw hammer isn't too different therefore from the claw hammers of our fathers or our father's fathers. This hammer does absorb the impact very well, and is very lightweight for its strength. The hammer is made by Stanley, so you know its going to be a good quality construction, but there is really nothing here that is much different from any other hammer. Its not laser guided and doesn't have GPS tracking, but it is reliable when it comes to knocking nails into things.

Claw Hammers Review WOW!
Amazing hammer. Works like a hot darn. Easy to hold when it gets wet. Packs quite the punch but does not feel awkward. My only complaint is the checkered face on mine wore down very quickly, not a huge deal however. It sure has made the tendonitis clear up in my elbow. Keep up the good work Stanley!

Claw Hammers Review Singing hammer
I recently purchased this tool and find it to be a very good product. My only complaint is an annoying "ping" upon contact with a nail. For almost two hundred dollars, I do not want my hammer to "sing" all day long while driving nails. It is easy on the elbow and wrist and does drive nails very well. My 12 hammers I own in my remodeling business still get more use than the TiBone. I am thinking of selling it after only one day of use. I have not tried the smooth face head so I can only report that the milled face head makes the ping noise. I have emailed manufacturer about this but have received a reply.

Claw Hammers Review Good Hammer
I've had this hammer for two weeks and so far its been great.
It is exactly the same weight as my wooden handled hammer and approx the same build. It drives identical as my wooden one but has a much lighter feel even though its the same weight. You also don't have to worry about breaking the handle like a wooden one.Don't buy this if your trying to help your tennis elbow or if you think you'll save the 200.00 dollars by being faster, just buy it cause it's neat looking, high tech and its a new tool to look forward to getting to break up those long work days.

Claw Hammers Review The best hammer I have ever owned bar none.
I used the good o'l estwings 22oz. for many years since I was 14 to be about precise. Then I started trying some new things I bought that new fiberglass thing estwing had and it flopped. I switched to a wood handled craftsman cali-framer for about a year and got tired of breaking-em even though they replace for free. I searched this hammer for 4 months and read every review there is on it and then I made the decision to buy it. The price is big but the payoff is bigger! This thing glides. It not only lightens up your belt it hits just as hard as those big wooden and steel guys. I still drive 12d's and 16d's in 2 hits with it and I feel I can swing it all day. It is balanced very well and every one on my crew now wants one. The only thing i seen wrong with it is the handle frayed just a little where it meets the neck but poses no real problem, happened to all those other hammers as well. If you build houses like I do GET THIS THING you will never be sorry and you will never leave your tool belt on the job at lunch either. I also turned round and got that nail puller to. she a bute. feels like nothin's in your hand and it five times stronger than steel. It will definetly increase the worth of your belt 2-3 fold I guarantee.

Claw Hammers Review Excellent hammer for lighter work
This hammer is an excellent complement to a full-fledged framing hammer. Because it has a shorter handle than the Estwing framing hammers, it works great for sheathing roofs and roofing, as well as other closer-in work. Still has the rip claw like a framing hammer. The 20 oz. weight gives it the right punch to drive nails without being unwieldy. The new shock-reducing handle does seem to work. Certainly softer than the old handle style.

Claw Hammers Review Solid, well-crafted hammer.
I purchased my Estwing 20 oz. Vinyl Grip Rip Claw Hammer from a certain Blue store recently. Although it costs more than other hammers, the Estwing is superior due to its simple one-piece design. During a long day of installing wood siding with this hammer recently, I appreciated its flawless weight distribution and rigidity. The grip is of excellent design and proves comfortable day after day on the job-site. After a redesign from previous generations (which I have occationally used), the new grip material is softer, thereby reducing vibration noticably over previous models.

Claw Hammers Review My grandkids will be using this hammer!
Let me start by saying that I am not a contractor and I don't use my tools for a living. Having said that, I do all of my own home repair/renovation work and at one point or another I have built everything from furniture to room additions to a 24' by 40' pole barn. I have owned this hammer for a long time - at least 6-8 years, and although the metal has tarnished to a dark grey it is still in as good of shape as the day I bought it. The face has remained very flat and true and the handle grip is holding up just fine. I love the balance of this hammer and the weight is just right for jobs like framing where power is more important than finesse.

All in all this is what I would consider a useful and indestructible tool at a great price.

Claw Hammers Review Another voice in the crowd of Douglas-lovers
I'll add my own recommendation to the chorus: the Douglas hammer is wonderful. One thing no-one seems to have mentioned is the side nail puller feature. It allows the pulling of nails that are fully clinched! If my Douglas ever breaks (and I have seen one broken head, apparently from misuse), I'd buy another.

Claw Hammers Review excellent hammer
I have tried other hammers, Stilletto, Stanley (UGH!), Vaughn, etc. The Douglas is a work of art let alone an well designed tool. The Traction Face is stellar and won't mushroom after repeated wailing on a nail puller. The center nail pull is nothing short of amazing, talk about leverage. Magnetized nail set is very handy, and most of all the polished steel is just sexy. I also have a waffle face for demo work, and an 18 oz finish that is just as nice. American made, and well made at that.

Claw Hammers Review Amazing Hammer
This hammer is worth every penny! I use this hammer all the time in framing and demolition on remodel jobs. I am convinced that the balance of the hammer and the thickness of the handle are important in reducing the stress on my arm while hammering. This hammer has saved me quite a bit of time by allowing demolition work to be completed sooner and the ability to drive nails faster than with any other hammer I've owned. This hammer has all the leverage and driving power you will ever need. The magnetic nail set is also very helpful. You may not need it every day....but when you do need it you are grateful to have it. I would recommend that you also get a finish hammer in a addition to this one. The large head does make it hard to work with smaller nails and in tight spaces.

Claw Hammers Review Better than expected
This really is a great hammer, and far better than I needed. A welcome surprise. The antivibe is excellent for me since I have some minor nerve problems in my right arm from years on the computer. It's comfortable to grip and I'm just pleased with it.

Claw Hammers Review Fix or Break,,your choice.
I buy my hammers 2 at a time, one for the shop and one for me to lose on the jobsites. I shop carefully for all of my tools and a hammer is a major player, useful every day. When you look at this hammer, you will notice that the handle has a definite curve. It also has an enlarged end. This is very important,it allows you to grip this hammer (at any point on the handle)with much less effort than a straight handle(common on wooden handles). Also, the soft feeling rubber that covers the handle, makes it even easier to grip. These features reduce fatigue and the potential for stress and strain related injury. 16oz. hammers are a good choice for light to medium framing jobs and trim work. While this or any hammer works well for demolition, I prefer my 28oz Stanley. The downside of that big so and so is,,When you and I strike ourselves;however unintentially, that 28 does a lot more damage. Straight claws are much more suited for demolition. You can swing full throttle with a stright claw and sink the claws into just about anything used in construction, RESTRAIN yourself from wacking your help. If you watch CSI then you already know that you might not get away with it.

Claw Hammers Review If I had a hammer...
"If I had a hammer, I'd hammer in the morning
I'd hammer in the evening - all over this land!
I'd hammer out danger, I'd hammer out a warning
I'd hammer out love between my brothers and my sisters
Ah-aaah
All over this land!"

As a hint to my family that I wanted a new hammer for Christmas, I repeatedly sang Trini Lopez's "If I Had A Hammer" song hundreds of times in the weeks prior to Christmas.

Great news - it worked! My family bought me this awesome Stanley Hammer. I've never been happier with a hammer! It hammers stuff real good. I've banged up my thumb a couple of times, but that's not the hammer's fault. I just probably shouldn't be hammerin stuff after I drink too much.

Anyway...thanks to Stanley for making such a great hammer, thanks to my family for buying it for me, and thanks to Trini Lopez for singing the song that made it all possible!

Gotta go now and use my hammer some more. As a great MC once said, "It's hammer time!"

Claw Hammers Review Red Rooster / Ontario Canada
This is a great all around hammer. I've been using it for about 2 years. At 18 oz it's the perfect compromise if you are unsure of a 16 oz trim hammer or a heavier 20 oz. With an overall length of 15" you have that extra leverage for pulling nails. I haven't broken a handle but they seem easy to replace. The only thing I would change is the side nail pull, I like to hit chisels etc on the side and it has a hollow spot on the left. Great quality tool, and it doesn't chip like Titanium.

Claw Hammers Review Can't go wrong!

I'm not sure I'd really label it a finish hammer, but it is great for general use. I've been using it every day for a little over a year, and all I've had to do is reglue the handle and tighten up the screws. I love it for framing and siding, but I tend to swing something lighter when I get inside. The Douglas 15 oz is very nice. So is Estwing's leather handled 16 oz.

Claw Hammers Review douglas 18 ounce finish hammer
I've been doing constuction for 10 years, and this is the first wooden handled hammer I've bought. I'll never go back to my old hammer. This hammer feels like it is part of your arm when you swing it, the only problem is that the hammer looks so good it should be in a glass case for people to look at, and not use. If your in the market for a new hammer I highly recommend this one, you will not be dissapointed.

Claw Hammers Review Great Hammer
This is a very well ballenced, confortable hammer to use all day. It's got the magnetic grove the help start nails. Also it's just the perfect weight, not so heavy that you'll get tired of carying it, but heavy enough to drive 16D nails in two swings (and 8D in one, after starting the nail).

Claw Hammers Review best framer ever
I've pounded nails for 20 years and this is the best framing hammer I have found. The balance is great,it's durable, and the magnetic nail starter is something you can't live without.Highly recommended!

Claw Hammers Review My favorite tool
This hammer is great, the balance is great, its light enough to swing all day long, the magnetic nail starter is great and easy to use after a little practice. Plus it I can drive 16's in three to four swats, in frozen southern yellow pine trusses.

Claw Hammers Review OXO--Well Designed Tools With You In Mind
OXO International is one of my favorite kitchen and now tool production companies. Why? Because everything they design has the consumer in mind. Featuring it's "Good Grip" enhancements, OXO has been awarded the Tylenol Arthritic Award.

You don't have to be hurting to appreciate this well crafted (10 oz.) hammer. In fact, it just might keep you from feeling hammering pains! The soft side grip gives you just the right amount of control, while absorbing some of the shock to your hands. A clever MarGuard feature truly protects against markings from walls and wood while removing even the most stubborn nail.

I have complete trust in OXO International and own many of their products (see reviews if you like)--and THAT is rare to say about a company these days! A great balanced hammer for small to towering tasks at a good bargain price.

Claw Hammers Review Good Going Good Grips!
I'm a long time fan of OXO GoodGrips kitchen and garden tools, I recently improved my car washing chores by buying an OXO Car Wash Brush. When I heard they were coming out with a whole line of tools for the home I had to try them. This hammer is probably the first real advance in a basic carpentry tool in 100 years. You have to see, feel and try one to appreciate how well engineered and designed this tool is. It is a pleasure to hold and to use, intelligently designed for those of us who are not in the Carpenter's Union. Non-slip, soft handles, mar-guard to ease the task of pulling nails and picture hooks, a little "give" in the shaft to prevent wrist injuries from unforgiving old-fashioned hammers. I like this so much I want the whole collection.

Claw Hammers Review Best Hammer Ever!!!
This is the best hammer I have ever used. It is lightweight and better than I expected. I would reccommend this hammer to everyone!

Claw Hammers Review Forget Other Framing Hammers
I am a pro framer. I cut my teeth in the olden days of "set, sink" doing production framing in the hot California sun without compressors. These days I use a nailer a lot but I still apprieciate a nice hammer. I can still spank a 16d home in one swat if I want to. I have used a lot of different hammers. For the feel I like a Dalluge but the claw is a joke for pulling nails. The Harts are also a broken handle waiting to happen. For real carpenters a wood handle is the standard. Fiberglass or steel handles will shatter your arm and invite a bad case of tendonitis.
The Vaughn has a nice claw that will pull nails with side to side leverage that will not stress the handle like straight back pulling. The inside edges of the Vaughn are good for getting a grip on a bent nail. Only the claw on a Plumb hammer has a hold on a nail as good as a Vaughn in my experiance. The handle/ head will not come loose on the Vaughn like other wooden handles for some reason. Hart, Stilletto, Dalluge Plumb, and Stanley all have chronic head loosening problems. I have a lot of wood handle hammers and the Vaughn is the only one that seems to stay tight.
If you want an indestructable handle then I suggest an Estwing with the leather handle. The leather seems to dampen the vibration enough to be a comfortable all day hammer. Forget all the other Estwing rubber handles. They do not adsorb palm sweat and the vibration will have you running for analgesia before the weekend.

Claw Hammers Review Smashing Hammer
I bought this hammer based on the great reputation that Vaughan has. I use this hammer often and the nail slot comes in real handy in restricted area's and for people like me who on occasion have smashed thumbs, lol. The hammer has held up well and I am very happy, I almost bought one of those expensive titanium hammers but after doing my homework I decided to go with the CFB2HCM and with the money I saved I bought I nice chisel set.
