My entire family has these fans. They are so quite and move a lot of air. I've never had one break, even after being dropped. Don't miss the oscillating feature b/c it compensates by moving a lot of air long distance. Worth the cost.

I just received this fan not too long ago. I bought it as a gold box offer and I am so glad I did! Our apartment is on the top floor and has a skylight which gets all of the afternoon sun and gets incredibly hot. It works great to circulate the cool air from my living room where the a/c is to the bedroom, where it is not. It is super quiet and compact and very powerful! A great product!

I was told about Vornado a few years ago. I didn't want to go and spend any money on new fans, so kept my old clunkers. Three of my fans quit this year and I purchased a Vornado Compact Fan. I am very happy I did and should have bought this ions ago. Variable speeds, good looking, and the best of all QUIET! You can sleep with no noise problem. I plan on buying 2 large ones in the spring for our thrift shop and get rid of the old noise makers who are all talk, and no action!

I do painting & remodeling for myself & family and saw this fan advertised with a great price on sale & bought one to try out. I've really been impressed with the size and more importantly the performance of it. It's small & easy to carry around on jobs. The main thing is it's so quiet at the low setting that you hardly hear it and you won't hear if if there's some other sound in the room. It's puts out a lot of breeze at all 3 speeds. The dual outlets on board are very handy to plug in a light or some other tool without having to plug into another wall outlet and the breaker button reset on the fan is a nice feature though I haven't tripped it yet. The cord on it is massive and a bit stiff but still flexible enough to wrap up at the end of the day to carry with the nice handle to hold on to. It's so versatle to aim it up on the ceiling or down to the floor or wherever in between. Everyone that sees & feels it is impressed with it's strong airflow and since it's direction of air is fairly in a tight pattern out of it's rectangular grill it's great for putting the air on me when I'm painting if I need it and not on the wall drying the paint too quickly. So far I've been careful with it hoping I don't bang it or drop something on it being it's plastic but seemingly pretty thick. For a jobsite fan or needed to aim precisely to dry something out it's a Mighty Mite. This fan blows away those cheap 16 inch oscillating fans hands down.

This thing frick'en rocks! I'm using this blower as a regular room/office fan because its quiet and circulates tons of fresh air even when it's running on the low speed. As far as durability -it is to early to say but it appears to be pretty stout. I like it so much I'm probably going to get a second one so I don't have to bring one back and forth from work to home. (I got the free shipping and it still arrived in two days to Tennessee so that was a plus as well.)

This fan is small in size but moves tons of air. The one feature you don't see in the photos is that the fan pivots all the way around to turn into a floor dryer. The picture just shows half of its movement. Great little fan to have, you won't be disappointed.

So, I just bought this fan. Its really cute, works properly, but the air flow is pretty low. I have to come within 3 feet of it to feel the current. It hasn't gotten really hot yet, so I don't know what will happen then. It should definitely be used in conjunction with another cooling device if you are attempting to cool a large space.

I'm kind of a fresh air freak: I use a window fan in my kitchen even in the winter. Up until my upgrade to this wonderful little window fan, I'd been using a standard 20" fan that had to be kind of jammed in the window.

I didn't realize just how nice this Holmes fan would be. It's very small, made of clear plastic that really looks great in the sunlight, it's easy to clean, and it seems to move at least as much air as the thing I was using before - but a whole lot more quietly - AND a whole heap better lookin'!

How often does someone feel the need to critique a window fan, for goodness sakes? This fan, however, is definately worth the time to recommend.

Received my Holmes Hawf-2000 Ice Cool Window Fan. This fan came at a time when the temp was in the high 90s. Easy to install, easy to operate both manually and automatically. I like the three settings with this fan, air intake, exhaust and air exchange. I also like the fact that I can select the temperature that turns this fan on or off. I purchased two other Holmes fans that I like equally well as far as operation and installation is concerned, but the Ice Cool styling that allows natural light to filter into the room is a real plus.

We keep coming back to order more - everyone in office wants one of these heaters!

This model does everything as billed. However, my previous experiences with recent BD heaters have not demonstrated long term reliability. The BD heater line has been discontinued which is unfortunate as they do perform well while they work. Reliability is a problem.

The best thing about this heater is it's small size- it can fit almost anywhere. This does not heat up a room by any means but it is great by the bed or couch, perhaps an office cubicle if you are able to keep it near. It takes a little time to warm up but it is small so this should be expected. The remote is a nice bonus, but the buttons on the heater are nice and big as well; operation is a cinch. It is about as loud as a regular fan this size, not too bad when you get used to it- I hardly notice it now. (Note: It might take a couple uses before it performs at full capacity heat-wise; not a real problem.) The safety features are comforting as well- it turns itself off on timer, extreme heat and/or at the slightest tip.

Since I am a fan of the Mighty Steelers, this was awsome.

When I first saw this sleeping bag I had my doubts. I read the review that was left by another customer and decided to order. I was so pleased with the sleeping bag!! The price of the sleeping bag was well worth it. This is a must have sleeping bag for any family and of course any sports fan. I couldn't be happier with the results!!! Just to let other customers know....After you put the bag in the wonderful carrying case that comes with it you can leave it out for decoration. And one more thing, The size of the sleeping bag is great for even someone tall. I am 5'6 and I could fit in the bag and then some. Very comfortable and it is very warm!!

Good Quality Sleeping Bag. I was kind of surprised how well this sleeping bag was made for the price I had paid. I was expecting a thin, "cheezy" looking bag for the inexpensive price, but was VERY pleased when it arrived at how thick and cozy this sleeping bag really is! The NFL graphics are also very nice on the bag. It also comes with its own zippered carrying case which I was also happy with. Great sleeping bag, especially for that young football fan, for the inexpensive price!

I'm one of those folks who can only sleep with "white noise" in the background. I used to use big Lasko box fans, but the cheap plastic blades on those would eventually weaken and flap around, making a roaring sound. Plus the poorly designed and made screws that held the grills in place would eventually weaken and cause the grill to bang against the metal box, making a tapping sound all night long the would wake the dead.

I was a little nervous about getting this fan as I'd only been used to huge box fans, and this one seemed too efficient and quiet to make a real difference in the air and making "white noise" to fall asleep to. I actually purchased it at Bed Bath and Beyond (not Amazon) for $100, so I'm not sure if there is lower price out there somewhere. Anyway, I wanted to try it at home to see what I thought, thinking if I didn't like it I could return it.

The fan was incredibly easy to put together, and you can make it two different heights ... short near-the-floor height, or "my bedroom is so hot I need a fan blowing right on me as I lay in bed" height.

On low, you can barely hear that the fan is on, however it moves about as much air as a big box fan does on high. When the Vornado is on high, it makes a pleasing white-noise sound, and REALLY moves the air around in the whole room. It's easy to adjust to point it where you want the air to go. I point it at the upper corner of my room so the air bouces off and travels everywhere else ... it really works!

The grill is extremely easy to remove (no screws at all ... just four secure clips), and the fan blade slides right off the shaft (no screw there, either). This will make it simple to clean just under the faucet in the sink or bathtub when it inevitably gets dusty and dirty.

If you are looking for a whole room circulator or a white-noise sleep aid, I couldn't recomment any fan higher! Good quality construction and well-engineered thought went into every aspect of this product. You won't go wrong.

I'm a cyclist and this fan made all the difference in my indoor workouts. It will definitely keep your upper body cooler. It's even strong enough to create that fluttering sound the wind makes in you ears when you are riding. You can adjust the height too (low-high) so you can look over it and watch the TV.

If you just want to get there air moving in your room, I'm sure this fan will do the trick. Highly recommend.

The 285 and 785 offer the same height adjustability but with continuous variable speed rather than three speed settings. The 285 is the next model of this fan, while the 785 is the "maximum air circulator" model and the one I have. the 785 boasts a full lifetime warranty as opposed to the limited lifetime warranty of the 285. I have been very pleased with my vornado purchase, and have found their customer service easy to reach via email.

I can't add much to the other reviews, other than they are 100% right on. We really don't like to run the AC in our apartment at night (and don't like paying for it) but with our Vornado running on the lowest setting and pointed just over our heads, we are as comfortable as possible. Be sure and get one with the continuously variable speed settings, so you can run it really slowly (and quietly). No fan is completely silent, but you can hardly hear the motor at all, just the woosh of the air around the blades and through the vent.

This is an excellent product.

I recently purchased this and another fan, a tower fan from Enviracaire, and often bring this fan into the main room to replace the other fan. I wish I had bought two of these instead.

CAN'T BEAT THIS FAN FOR MOVING A LOT OF AIR. AS WITH ANY FAN YOU HEAR IT RUNNING WHEN AT FULL SPEED. I FOUND IT WORKS GREAT AT 1/2 SPEED AND THE VARIABLE CONTROL SPEED IS SUPER. MADE IN THE USA STILL STANDS FOR QUALITY.

I was looking at Oreck's upright vacuums (because I wanted a light, but strong vacuum) and then I found this Bissell Prolite rated better in Consumer Reports. I decided to try it and I love it. The upright is light, has great suction, and is $150.00-$250.00 cheaper than the Orecks I was looking at buying. It is a little loud, but still worth it. I definitely recommend this vacuum pair!

I grew tired of pushing around my 10 year old vacuum that weighed a ton, so this time around I wanted something lightweight but powerful. This combo pack with the Prolite and Propartner was the answer to all my cleaning needs. The Prolite is so lightweight and easy to use, but really picks up the dirt. There are two fans for increased airflow (yes, I did my research) and this really helps for edge cleaning around baseboards. I can actually watch the dog hair being sucked up. I use it on my carpet and hard surfaces, and it works wonderfully.

When I was looking into purchasing a vaccum I noticed that the Prolite didn't have any tools or attachments, which was something that concerned me. Bissell has solved that problem by including the Propartner canister vacuum. I use this to clean the stairs, upholstery, and even my car. It has a switch on the handle to adjust the suction power which is really neat. I also love the retractable power cord. Why hasn't anyone else thought of that yet?

Between the lightweight (but powerful) Prolite and Propartner canister vacuum, the dirt in my house no longer stands a chance. If you're looking for a new vacuum, give these a chance and I know you won't be disappointed.

I've had this fan for 3 or 4 years and I'm very happy with it. It's very quiet and you don't need to balance the blades yourself. Just follow the directions that Hunter sends with the fan and you're home free. Aside from very occasional dusting I have had to do nothing to the fan in order for it to run smoothly. I love the design the quietness and the quality of this fan that also has a very good price. Go for it you won't be sorry.

I purchased this fan about 3 or 4 years ago and I have only good things to say about it. I specially ordered it from Home Depot and I've been totally pleased with it. It is very quiet unlike many other fans I've seen around. One thing I can say about the Hunter fans family is that they are definitly quality fans. My mom only buys hunter and when she found out I was in the market she insisted I look at only the Hunter fans. I don't always do as mother says but this time I did and am glad I got an excellent fan with not problems at all. I would give 10 stars if theywent that far. I also like the idea that we have never had to balance the blades and no a bit of wobbling from the fan itself.

We bought this fan to create white noise for our 7 month old son and replaced a box fan with it. We wanted to be able to put it out of reach when he is old enough to get hurt by it. I liked that it was small yet still 'loud' enough to drown out the city noise from his bedroom.

This smaller than normal fan will surprise you with its features and its size. It actually blows more air farthur than my pedistal fan almost twice its size. The remote has very good range and the fan is very light.

Will probably buy another of these for my son's bedroom.

This fan has alot of power for being a smaller size model. It doesn't make alot of noise either. The air feels like a breeze from outside.If you move it to different rooms it is lightweight and has a handle at the top, which is very convienent for a counter or tabletop. I highly recommend this fan. The price is very reasonable too! I hope this helps you in making a decision.
