Heaters Review Good heat if you are right by it.
It's radiant heat.. and it gets hot like it should. It won't heat up my whole garage, but it provides a nice area to warm up when it is really cold. I compare it to a Flashlight. If you turn on a flashlight in a dark room and point it at one spot.. it does not matter how long you leave it there, the rest of the room is still dark. Same with this heater, the heat is directed towards what you aim it at.

Heaters Review Easy on the electric bill!!!
I bought this heater to avoid using my propane guzzling wall heater. The best feature for me was that the unit dosent get hot to touch so my kids would be safe around it. Another big bonus is that it only uses 400 and 800 watts so dosent kill the electric bill and still puts out a good amount of heat. Downside is it is very bright (get out those sunglasses!) Great for smaller areas as there is no fan to circulate heat, and since it warms objects in the room instead of the air-a big empty room wont get warm. The first month of real cold weather I bought a standard heater fan with 700/1500watt and it didnt feel any warmer than with this one and my electric bill was $75 higher than using this heater. This heater did work very well for my situation and I was able to keep the utility bills under control.
The only reason I dont rate this heater a "5" is due to the brightness on the high setting. I did have to return the first one I bought because the swivel function stoped working the second day. The second one has been used daily for over 6 months and not a problem. It has a tip over safety shutoff and the power cord never gets warm even after hours of being on the high setting.

    Heaters Review Excellent product,But........
This convection heater works very well at heating my 12x14 living room, and it is very quiet while in operation. The heater is very sturdy and attractive looking. However, the supposedly "cool touch metal cabinet" gets extremely hot. I let out a few four-letter words when I touched the heater, and I have a high threshhold for pain.In my opinion, this heater is worth the money, because it does do an excellent job at warming up the area. However, please be careful with this heater if you have children.

    Heaters Review Broke twice
The arm sprayer on this machine broke once, so I ordered a new part from the manufacturer. After only 3 uses, the new sprayer broke. I did not order another part, I'm going to try something else (haven't decided what yet). As for the cleaning, it would clean juice stains and other miscellaneous stains (I don't have pets) well, but they would reappear after a few days of cleaning.

Heaters Review I would not recommend this
Sprayer plugged up all of the time. I thought it might have been the detergent I was using, so I just would fill it up with clean water. But, it still plugged. It takes about 10 minutes to fix, but what good is that when you need it. I got so mad at this thing the last time, I threw it away.

Heaters Review Wonderful little carpet cleaner!
I bought this machine as a supplement to usual carpet cleaning and I have been extremely satisfied. This machine has managed to clean every spill, spot and stain on my carpet. We have two dogs and one of them had a very large, messy and liquid accident on the carpet. I thought for sure that I would have to rent a big, industrial strength carpet cleaner in order to get rid of the stain, but I didn't. The little green carpet cleaner took care of it.
Of course, you still have to put some good old-fashioned elbow grease into the cleaning, but I believe that is true with every cleaning product...no matter what the ads claim. I haven't had any problem with the machine clogging either, but I thoroughly clean all the hoses after each use. My only recommendation is that I wouldn't spend the extra money for the turbo version. It just comes with an extra brush attachment, which I don't think works as well as the standard brush attachment.
I would definitely recommend this product to others. Just remember, it is for spot and stain cleaning.

    Heaters Review DON'T BUY THIS!
I bought three of these in one order.

One of them arrived with "air bubbles" under the paint. I returned that immediately.

Another looked suspiciously refubished -- the box looked as if it had been previously been open. Each time I turned it on, it wouldn't heat up, until one day there was a thin film of smoke and sparks coming from the unit. I sent it in for repair and after waiting a couple of weeks with no word on its status, I followed up with the authorized repair center. They said they were still awaiting parts from Delonghi, that Delonghi never returned their call, and that they will probably ship my heater to Delonghi. So that one is still pending!

The third one works fine. But as one of the customers mentioned earlier, sometimes it turns off on its own and it needs to get stone cold before it will fire up again.

Heaters Review Horrible item, horrible seller
I bought this early for winter, didn't need to use until two weeks after purchase. It worked great the first four nites then stopped. Now it won't turn on. I called the seller on day 30 after the ORDER date (not ship date, not received date) asking for an exchange or refund. The rep clucked on the phone about it being thirty days, took my info and promised a call back. A week later, no call back. I can't get through on DeLonghi's number, I'm put straight into a hold queue and after half an hour I hang up. This item is definitely not worth the money, and Polstein's is an equally unreliable seller with zero customer service.

Heaters Review Very nice room heater.
I bought this unit to heat a bedroom thats over my garage. It gets very cold during the long Minnesota winters. The room is 12 x 13, and this heater does a very good job at keeping this room cozy. I have it on the low setting and keep the thermostat at around 3. I also keep the door closed on this room. The thermostat settings range from 1-5 and only regulate the amount of time the heater is on. It dosen't guage the room temperature and turn the unit on and off to maintain a specified temperature.

This unit is also very light, which is another reason I bought it. I also like how it looks.

Heaters Review Loved it until it broke almost right away!
I loved the way the Vortex Digital Heater heated and the way it kept cool to the touch. But within a week, the one I had started cutting off when it hit the set temperature and did not come back on. I was worried that it was overheating all the time and called Vortex who told me I could send it in at my expense and pay $15 to fix it. I emailed my Amazon seller (Louise at Pinnacle Packaging) who was wonderful and paid to have it sent back to her, and is going to refund my money. I think I am going to buy another one only I am going to purchase it from a local store and make sure I can bring it back if the new one does the same thing. I guess I am a sucker but I really liked the way the thing worked when it worked correctly!

Heaters Review Excellent space heater for home office!
I obsessed about space heaters for a couple months, researched online, went to the specialty hardware store three times, and finally decided on this one. I have not been disappointed. With a home office, during the winter I didn't want to heat the whole house to keep warm in the office area. This heater has worked beautifully. It heats up quickly and is very quiet. For the summer months, I use a Vornado circulating fan. I'm very happy with both products from Vornado.

    Heaters Review cool heater
The heater is great. If it had a timer it would be even greater. However, it serves the intended purpose well. The "cool to the touch" feature is perfect since I have a toddler. I never leave it unattended but it's nice to know that if the baby somehow gets close to it there won't be a diaster.

    Heaters Review THIS THING SUCKS
Not only is the heat (btu)rating false, (in my oppinion), but to me it doesnt put out heat at all (relivently speeking) the tip over feature has prevented the unit from opperating several times in the 3 hours since i recieved it.. furthermore.. i will never purchace a heater made of plastic.. think about it.. plastic melts and metal doesnt (at the advertised tempurature) the fan speed i would equate to a gentle breeze if that. the heat output is far, far, below what i would have expected based on the advertisement.. basically in my oppinion this product is worthless to purchase unless you are trying to heat a refrogerator box sized space 5 degrese in a 70 degree enviroment.. look elsewhere for your heating needs.

Heaters Review Its ok - Very Reliable and Dependable - but some things about this heater are irriating
I purchased two of these one for my mom and one for myself last year when the Vornado pieces of crap both of us had simultaneously died on us and I don't recommend nor will I ever buy another Vornado heater again. These Delonghi work very well they are very reliable and dependable but read further on about my heater purchasing experience and the irritating things about this heater. I love having it in the living room but so glad it is not in my room as I have now found the perfect heater that meets my needs ( I BOUGHT IT HERE OF AMAZON.COM TOO - GREAT JOB PACKAGING MY NEW HONEYWELL HZ-2302 BY THE WAY THANK YOU!) and has no irritating things about it like this Delonghi does.

I had purchased a Honeywell digital heater (non ceramic) cause I dont care for the ceramic kind the airflow from the ceramic heaters is not very much I had ordered it online from Home Depot. The model that comes with the little computer mouselike foot pedal only the model without the pedal. My God it was a total piece of crap. It heated up and almost started smoking the fan did not turn on. The damn thing is still sitting in my closet I am calling home depot again this morning to b*tch them out of why UPS has not come to pick it up at my house. So I went back online that evening I got that heater to search for another one. I did not give up on Honeywell because I do know their products are great and good quality. I went to Kaz.com since Kaz.com is the company which manufactures these heaters for Honeywell. Low and behold I found this one Honeywell HZ-2303 . One that Oscillated, Was the color I liked, has great airflow, It has the fan only function, a childproof turning knob which must be pressed down and turned in order to be turned on, The temperature thermostat in Honeywell HZ-2303 heater is VERY sensitive which I love because just as soon as the temperature starts to drop it comes right back on to keep my room nice and toasty, I love the fact that the Honeywell HZ-2303 stops oscillating when it cycles off reaching desired room temperature which the Delonghi ones unfortunately do not do they just keep oscillating even after the heater cycles off. When I turn the knob to the off position the orange light shuts off which is another thing I love about the Honeywell HZ-2302 heater. Not the delonghi even when I turn it completely to the off position the orange light continues to illuminate I have to unplug that one (which is in the living room) because that bright orange light on the delonghi gets on my nerves big time. I have the delonghi one as well and got another delonghi one for my mom they are great but Honeywell HZ-2303 one was better for my personal use. I have a roommate who stays in the living room and I have the delonghi one out there in the living room for his use. This Honeywell HZ-2303 is also very nice and compact it stays out of my way and is not too big or bulky. And the tip over switch inside of it is also very sensitive if the heater is tipped over it shuts off automatically. I dont ever plan on buying ANY digital ones again the electronics inside are much too volatile and things go wrong too easily. Honeywell HZ-2303 (like the delonghi) has analog turning knobs for Off, Fan, Medium, High and Low (Honeywell HZ-2303 even has Three Temperature settings which is also great the delonghi only has two) Another thing about the delonghi is its temperature thermostat is not sensitive if I turn it only halfway to number three it goes up to number six it will never cycle off. The delonghi only cycles off when I put it at One and a Half. I think it is safe to say The Honeywell HZ-2302 is the BEST space room heater I have ever purchased in my life and I hope it lasts me a long time. Thanks for taking the time to read this and hear my input. JUST

Heaters Review Does the job, great value
I'm happy with my heater-- the size of my room is decent, approximately 16' x 16'-- and with the oscillating feature, the room gets warm in about 15 minutes. I can definitely feel the difference between the temperature in my room and directly outside my door/the hallway, and it does a good job of switching itself off once it reaches the correct temperature. I like the petite size, and sleek egg-shape. I have not had any problems with the balance mechanism, and though it does make some noise, it's not obnoxiously loud or irritating.

The three different levels does seem a bit pointless, and the temperature setting numbers on the knob could be easier to read, but I haven't had difficulty with it yet. You just have to look closely.

Yes this heater is plastic, therefore it doesn't get really hot to the touch (thus the concept of "safe heat") and no it's not the smelly type of heater that you'd want to sit in front of to warm your feet.

I'd buy it again in an instant, and have recommended it to others wanting a budget heather that will keep them comfortable through the winter.

Heaters Review Heats great, but the "click, click, click" drove everyone insane
The consistant "click, click, click" is too annoying and wakes people up at night. I purchased two of these new, and it is two of these that I am giving to Goodwill. They do, however, heat well.

    Heaters Review Click, Click, Click....
This heater will work perfectly in front of a window, except for the click, click, click sound it makes that becomes rather annoying to the point where you might just turn the heater off and wrap yourself in a blanket instead.

If the choice is to listen to the clicking sound or to just turn on a heater fan, then the fan is a better choice as far as the annoyance factor goes. I could not believe that this beautiful heater could be so darn irritating.

My cats also didn't like the sound and would actually leave the room. It heats wonderfully, but the clicking sound (when the heater is used on low) is not worth the price if you don't like the room to get overly warm. I'm sort of disappointed because this size heater is the perfect solution for a cold window by the desk.

RECENT TESTING RESULTS: The only way that the clicking will stop is to turn the heat all the way up (and to press the MED (900 watts) button and leave it there the entire time. This make the "adjustable Thermostat" fairly irrelevant, however then you can get consistent heat without the clicking noise.

Best for use in very cold weather. Works best
on MED and HIGH heat settings. Otherwise the unit
turns on and off and the clicking continues.

    ~The Rebecca Review

    Heaters Review Quality Heating Option
We have depended on natural gas for heat until the price increased to the point of being entirely too expensive. Having read previous reviews we picked two DeLonghi SafeHeat baseboard heaters to suppilment or hopefully replace our dependence on natural gas as a heat source. We have had the units a few weeks and are Delighted with thier preformance and cost effectiveness. They are a bit long, but this is standard with many baseboard heating units. It makes a bit of a clicking noise at times when heating up/cooling down, but we don't find that any real bother. The only real complaint is as others have said... The cord is too short. Only three feet long, but the cord doesn't get hot even after the unit has been running for hours. And so far, our central gas heat has not been needed at all. This is a Quality heater made in Italy and we are Very Pleased in owning two units. One unit heats our main living area and the other our bedroom. It has a low center of gravity and won't tip over easily, and a safety feature is an auto cut-off if it did tip over. We have cats and a dog and so far it has proven safe with them around the units playing and such. The top will get quite hot to the touch and you certainly don't want a combustible laying on it, but most of the unit is cool to the touch. Highly Recommend these units. Even was offered Free Shipping at the time I ordered them! Great alternative to Expensive natural gas heat, which at one time was the most affordable option.

Heaters Review Leaks a lot of water!
I installed this unit in a carpeted bedroom. It leaks. I don't mean a few drops, it leaks a LOT of water! The owner's manual states "Water will accumulate in a holding tank at the bottom of the unit, and the unit will automatically shut off." WRONG! Yes, the water does accumulate but the unit never shuts off. It overflows until a human shuts it off.

The first night I ran this in my bedroom, I awoke to about a 6-foot circle of very wet carpeting. I drained the tank manually (very difficult to do without spilling even more water) and then was stupid enough to try it a second night. The next morning I awoke to a much larger circle of sopping wet carpet.

Two days later the company is not returning my calls and the bedroom is starting to smell of mold and mildew. I am afraid this may turn into a very expensive replacement carpet.

    Heaters Review perhaps a lemon?
The unit I received has a few problems:
    1) It is quite loud. (We have another of the same unit in this building, and it is not nearly as loud.)
    2) The first weekend I left it turned on, it flooded my office. It has a resevoir to catch the collected humidity, but almost all of it is supposed to be exhausted through the exhaust hose. Our other unit collects perhaps a cup of water per week in the resevoir. This one dumped perhaps four gallons of water onto my desk and onto the floor.
    3) I'm having a very difficult time with Soleus getting this problem taken care of. They do not return calls; they promise to do things; but nothing has happened yet. It's been a few weeks.

    I'm not happy.

Heaters Review Cools However, it Leaks Rivers of water on the Floor...
The unit does cool wonderfully, However it has leaked rivers of water onto my carpet. I have left 3 messages with the manufacturer and have gotten NO response from them. I see no possible easy way to drain the water since the port is one inch off the floor. I have resorted to putting the unit on a dog kennel tray to prevent the saturation of the surrounding carpet. I would consider selling the item to get rid of it, However, I cannot even begin to imagine the bad feedback I would get from selling this item. Next step is to try returning to original place of purchase since in my opinion the item is defective--it recycles little or no water. Only dumping water on the floor. Good Luck buying this, Buyer Beware!
