I HAVE BEEN A CONTRACTOR FOR 30 YRS AND I COULDN'T DO MY JOB WITHOUT THESE STAGINGS PLANKS . I HAVE A 20" AND A 12" BOTH 20' LONG WITH THE QUALCRAFT ALUMINUM PUMP JACKS AND QUALCRAFT LADDER JACKS.WITH THIS SYSTEM I CAN HANDLE ALMOST ANY SITUATION AND SET UP IN MINUTES.IT IS FANTASTIC TO BE ABLE TO WALK 20' OVER BUSHES AND GARDENS WITHOUT DISTURBING ANYTHING.THESE PLANKS ARE INCREDABLY STRONG AND HOLD MUCH MORE THAN THE RATED 500 POUNDS.I AM ABLE TO LIFT THESE PLANKS BUY MY SELF BUT I DRAG THEM ALOT.I HAVE REALLY FOUND THE 12" WIDE PLANK MORE VERSITAL ON LOWER SECTIONS BECAUSE IT FITS MY LADDER JACKS AND I USE IT AS MY WORKING PLATFORM IN COMBINATION WITH MY 20" PLANK UP HIGH. PLUS HOW CAN YOU BEAT FREE SHIPPING ON THESE BABIES. I AM ABOUT TO PICK UP ANOTHER SET SO I CAN GO 40 FT AT A TIME. YOU WILL PAY FOR THIS SYSTEM WITH THE FIRST JOB IN LABOR COSTS ALONE AND WORK LIKE A GENTLEMAN.

Got the 20' plank in addition to the 16' version. The 20' is just as good, spans farther, and weighs more. It can be a bear to handle by yourself but the extra 4' comes in very handy at times. And don't forget to consider how you will haul it - probably need a lumber rack or trailer...

This is a nicely built and sturdy plank. On the jobsite it is often the first pulled off the truck to use. If you are only working by yourself, you might be able to get by with the 1 man rated plank - otherwise get the 2 man plank.

I'm a pretty big guy and I like to stay on the ground when possible, but having the right tools makes tempting gravity less risky. I use this plank between two Werner 8' twin step ladders, and it makes for a very solid, and very flexible scaffold. Having 10' between the ladders makes movement less frequent than if I used 4' sections of scaffolding, and having the outer side of a twin step ladder on each end makes it easy for someone to lend a hand if needed.

I bought this scaffold to paint off of a ladder using jacks. The plank is very sturdy, easy to work off of, and very slip resistant. I wish it was a little bit lighter, but I would not want to give up any of the strength and stability it currently has in order to shave off a couple of pounds. I am very happy with the quality of this plank and would recommend it to others.

My ClimbTek 16' articulated ladder was exactly what I expected and then some. It meets all of my needs around my single story ranch with a ruggedness to stand up to the toughest jobs. When I decided to stain this past summer I debated making my own platforms so I could make use of the scaffold.

I am glad I chose to buy these instead. Price and time taken into consideration I undoubtedly came out ahead. They are light weight - but again, still rugged - and the latching mechanism is fast and secure. On or off in seconds.

I did choose to cover my platforms with a temporary non-slip cover for staining purposes (an old exercise treadmill tread worked great) just to keep them clean.

After months of shopping I purchased ClimbTek and have found their product and accessories to be worth every penny.

I give the 24' task master a very favorable rating. The long walk board is lite enough to be handled by one man. Weighing no more than 80 pounds one man can handle this extremely long walk board taking it on and off of ladder jacks by one self. Obviously the walk board is long enough to span average spans in order to get the walk board down. Also it is reasonalby priced allowing the working man the ability to purchase.

Since this is not a very technical item, There isn't much to say about how well it works for its intended purpose. After all, it's a plank... But the real beauty comes in the fact that the adjustable length makes it very easy to store such a long stage in a confined area. I use mine incombination with 2 extension ladders and a couple of scaffold jacks. Works great.

the drill fits but hangs up when you go to remove it from the hook. I had this first and it was ok. But then I got the big lugg bunge...much better easier to use all aroung a better solution.

IT WORKS PRETTY WELL WITH A BIG GUN. IT WORKS VERY WELL WITH A SMALL GUN. MY COIL NAILER IS A LITTLE HARD TO GET OFF AND IT BENT THE BELT CLIP A COUPLE OF TIMES.

An excellent addition to my tool belt. Incredibly handy, way less cumbersome than drill "holsters". I like that I can pop it off and move it to another belt with ease. Can't wait for the Big Lugg 2....

It takes two guys to set this up unless you are going just a few feet with a short plank. We set it up once and extended it beyond the last stop, there was no warning tape or mark for you to know you are at the last stop. It came crashing down. The system is neat and fast and I totally agree with the above review, but we have found it limiting in many ways.

For one guy to set it up we have to duct tape the locking devices to keep them put and we have to stretch a board across the foot so that is doesn't lift up when we are extending the plank.

I am not rating this as a do-all scaffolding set. However, if you are a single story gable sider or a two story hip roof sider, painter or are doing detail work and want a quick-quick setup this gets 5 stars. The neat system slides up and down siding without marring it. In addition to siding we use this system for sign-off detail work. Using this system, we usually can get the scaffold up, fix the detail and return to ground to get the inspector's sign-off before he leaves the job site. All the guys like this system. Once in a while we over-test the 500-pound weight limit. But if you need to store heavy material on the plank such as a hod, brick or windows consider a stronger system. Also, second story work is marginal with this systems' 16' limit unless you are working a hip roof. Gables can be beyond reach. Even with these limitations, this system gets a five from me because it clearly adds to our bottom line.

I bought the buffalo scaffold a while back to make doing some interior renovations on my home easier. (I was hanging sheetrock and installing molding.) This scaffold made the job of taping a lot easier on my back and sure beat standing on a six foot ladder for hours on end. the buffalo version was better made than a lot of the 4 foot scaffolds I checked out and it folds flat for storage. you won't be disappointed in this item and you will find a lot more uses for it.

I have owned this item for four years, and use it regularly in my professional chimney sweep/restoration business. It's easy to set up, light weight, and versatile. I have every confidence in it, and routinely trust it with my life several stories above the ground!

I've used the Krause VarioTop Scaffold/Ladder system for over two years and have found its versatility and strength indispensible! Working alone, I find that the stability is surprising, considering its minimal weight. When called upon to support myself and another worker, it didn't seem to mind at all. I really enjoy being able to pick it up fully-assembled and walk it to wherever I need to work, yet it takes up very little space when broken down into its various components. I heartily recommend it.

I purchased two of these and Love htem any thing from painting to trim work they are fantastic. Very easy set up and transport great for steps, inclines and flat work I highly recomend them...

THis scafold unit has proved invaluable on my job sites.I own 4 of these,all with guard rails and 2 with outriggers.This system is easy to set up and provides me with a comfort level to leave the jobsite knowing the workers are safe.I have used other systems and the guard rails were usually not used because they were too restictive.You should use pins at all attachment points including the horizontal rails as I have found that the unit are strong enough for 2 men and I like the added safety measure.I highly recommend this system and have used these for at least 3 years.Finally I should note that occasionally I transport a complete unit in my mini-van.I do wish they would make a shorter frame section of about 40" as this would be helpful and you would not require outriggers.
