Cord Reels Review this thing is great!
Pretty sweet piece of kit. Suspends from the ceiling well, the rectracting assembly works well. Some people may complain that it is only 16 gauge, but it works well for quick jobs in a workshop.

Cord Reels Review Retractable Cord Reel
This is a great cord reel! Very easy to use. Sets easily. No unexpected wind-ups. It retracts with authority with a tug of the cord. Built well. Love it!

Cord Reels Review A MUST HAVE SHOP ACCESSORY
Until I installed this retractable extention cord I had to deal with a cord hanging over my work bench. With this product just a little tug and the cord is out of the way, no tangles and its long enough to reach every part of my 20'x 20" shop. Installation was a breeze, I used the celing mount but would work great as a wall mount too!

Cord Reels Review A must have for any shop!
Last year I moved into a new house and my woodshop now exists in a nice one car garage. The only downside to my new shop (other than its small size) is that the previous owners did not install many outlets. Before I had the time to do so myself, I came across this retractable cord reel. I hung it from the ceiling, dead center just next to the garage door opener (they can thus share the same outlet), and the 30' length easily reaches every corner of my shop. I am sure this length would do equally well in a two car garage too. I especially love the fact that since my main bench and tablesaw are directly below this reel I can quickly run power to either of those without having any cords tripping me at floor level.
I have found the construction of this reel to be top notch - the steel housing will last forever and the winding/retracting mechanism inside is very robust. I predict this to be a lifetime tool, never to need replacing.

I highly recommend this item, especially to those whose workshops started out life as a garage!

Cord Reels Review Winds the cord quickly and easily
I bought this power cord holder after I saw it in one of those airplane mall magazines. I bought a heavy duty 100' cord and this bucket easily holds it. It is made of sturdy plastic. The only problem is that the bucket moves around when I am winding the cord. I solved this problem by just stepping on the corners with my feet. This is a great gadget.

Cord Reels Review Not happy with this product
I just received this vacuum cleaner today and have had a few problems already. When I first started using it I noticied a burning smell and noticed smoke coming out of the base. I then realized that the "carpet-bare floor selector" was not in the correct position according to the product manual (this can cause the belt to rub on it and create the burning smell). This lever is VERY DIFFICULT to adjust between the carpet and bare floor option. After moving it completely into position I noticed that the lever continued to pop back and would not stay in place and of course the vacuum cleaner continues to smoke while using it. Also the cord does not push easily into the 2 cord clips on the back of the handle.
I'm in the process of contacting Panasonic to see if there is a solution. The price of the vacuum cleaner was unbeatable and it is an attractive design, but I'm afraid it has some fatal flaws. I seem to be the only one out of all the reviews who has experienced the problems above.

Cord Reels Review Simply the best....
This is without a doubt the best vacuum I have ever owned! It has super sucking power that stands the carpet like it's brand new. The attachments will clean out any nook or cranny in a second. The machine is light enough and small enough to push around anywhere. The cord recoil works fine for me. I've owned it for almost a year, and actually look forward to using it. And at this price? You won't even think of looking elsewhere, my friend. Hey, why isn't Amazon offering this little gem any longer? Don't make me come down there......

Cord Reels Review Best Vacuum!
I have nothing but good things to say about this vacuum! It has great suction and the beater mode cleans my carpets better than any vacumm I have had. I can make a pass over the carpets and they actually are cleaned as opposed to having to go back over and over again as has been the case with any of my previous vacuums. Likewise with the wand attachment. It picks up cat fur like no other, I can actually see the cat pillow becoming cleaner as I go over it. It also is the first vacuum that has not given me an allergy attack when I use it.

I'd suggest a couple of improvements, make the wand hose a little longer and the brush head so that it pivots. Besides that, I can't think of anything else. In my opinion this vacuum is a great value for the money.

Cord Reels Review 50' Industrial cord reel
This item works well to wind up the cord quickly. There is a swivel so the case moves in different directions and it has a release clip if you need to move it from it mounted location. I didn't realize how heavy it would be but 50 ft of cord is a lot. All in all it is working well for me.

Cord Reels Review Works for me
Mine has performed without flaw for over a year. I have no complaints. It is used on a daily basis in my shop. I have two other *cheaper* models from a different maker and they both quit working after a few months. The failure points seem to be the brushes and the re-wind spring. This one must have heavy duty versions of both, because they work so well! worth the few extra bucks.

Cord Reels Review WOW It really works
I read many of the reviews for this item, and decided I would give it a try. IT WORKS!!. Simple installation (mounting piece is a little off center). Worked as advertised. If installing in the summer no need to lay out cord. Easily rolled and held, 100ft of medium weight extension cord. Mounting bracket takes 4 screws to secure it. Screws are included for one bracket, but you will have to get more if you want to mount the other bracket. I will be buying another one for my workshop and barn.

Cord Reels Review WW-1 Wonder Winder
Great product! Eliminates tangled extension cord. A "must have" for do-it-yourselfers.

Cord Reels Review Simple and functional
I bought my first winder over two years ago. When I received it, my first thought was that I might have made a mistake. Recently I purchased two more and I think this simple little cord reel is ingenious. It helps keep my shop organized, I'm the type of guy that, when in a hurry, would just kick the wire in the corner, then when I need it again it is all knotted, not any more. I highly recommend!

Cord Reels Review easy to use
Always hated to wind and unwind electrical cords. This cord reel is easy to use. Just pull out as much cord as you need and it locks in place. The 12 gauge wire is nice as I own many portable tools that require a heavy wire.

Cord Reels Review Works as Advertised
This reel extension unit works just like I had envisioned. It's heavy duty 12-gauge for multiple power tools, good length to get around my shop and driveway, and extends and retacts just fine. Yes, it is big, but that's what a 12-gauge 50ft reel is going to be in footprint. Now, you could make this setup cheaper with a 50 or 100ft cord and manual reel, but I needed to hang mine on a 10ft. ceiling. This product works, it's big, and no problems noted on quality or mechanics.

Cord Reels Review Great Product!
Works as advertised. Unlike the first poster, I have had no problems with this unit. I have it mounted on the ceiling, and the retract function works flawlessly. It is a welcome addition to my workshop. Highly recommended. Oh yeah - the thing is BIG.

Cord Reels Review Good concept, but ads exaggerated
If you plan to use 100 feet of heavy duty high quality hose this unit will not handle it. The US rep, "Hydra-US" said in an e-mail to me, when I asked if this unit could handle 100' of commercial grade hose, that "We do not have a reel that will accomodate this type of hose at this time". While the design concept is good, the design is not rugged enough. I installed 75' of a light duty hose and the unit works fine.

Cord Reels Review Great winding by water power, not electric or spring.
Powerful hydro-winding apparatus. So powerful, the reel can pull off its mounting if there's a kink in the hose or hose is caught up on something. Home Depot sells similar model 10061 (automatic wind-up but operator has to guide hose for even distribution on reel) for $28.

Cord Reels Review Good Product-Works so Well I Bought Three!
I am very pleased with this product. I have a large property and originally ordered two for the backyard area. After using them for a week I ordered a third for the front. One reviewer had concerns with poor performance with heavy commercial duty hoses. I have the heavy hoses on all three and find that due to the heavy weight of the hose the water motor doesn't have enough power to drag it across the lawn. However I find it very easy to lift the hose about 20 feet from the unit and it takes it in just fine. It is still much better than hand cranking or coiling. My commercial holse is 110 feet long and it will all fit on the reel. I think it is well worth the money and highly recommend it.

Cord Reels Review Nice but not as good as hoped
I bought this reel because of the advertised capacity of 150' of cord. However my 100' 12 gauge cord spills over a little, even with the plug put on the outside of the reel. I would pay more for a wider reel which comfortably holds all my long, thick cord, but I do not know of any in this price range. Otherwise it is suitable for occasional home use.

Cord Reels Review Solving an Unpleasant Task
For this small person, coiling outdoor electric cords in order to store them has always been an unpleasant task. This reel not only solved the coiling process, but hangs neatly on a nail in the storeroom, ready for next use.

Cord Reels Review Holds a pound of chalk, but don't put it all in.
I am a roofer, so I use a lot of chalk. What I found with this chalk line is that it does indeed leave a bold thick line. If your popping a lot of lines, you don't have to real it in as often either. The one problem I found though, is that if you try to fill it up with chalk (or even go much over half way) it is very difficult to pull the line out. I broke the line one day trying to pull it out with it full of chalk. Also, it is not a quick reel, so if your using it a lot you'll be doing a lot of reeling.I hope this info helps you.

Cord Reels Review Burns a line!!!
I am a mason and I was working an doing a block foundation that the homeowner poured himself. It was graded off with a steel rake so the surface was not smooth by any means. I ended up breaking both my chalk lines the day prior so I went to buy replacement lines for them and I saw this "animal" on the wall. I was amazed by the rope in this. I went ahead and purchaced it and was impressed by the fact of how big the line was and it went down into the low points of the footer. There was no "snap the line back to you" going on here, One snap does it. Great product!!!
