Amazon has the best priceWe only use Thomas Compressors. They are of the best quality. Amazon.com has the lowest price we have ever seen. This is the fourth compressor we have bought from them. We are thrilled with the savings and have never had any problems with the product!
Quiet is the best partWell we all know that there is enough noise in the shop. I have had other compressors and you can't hear yourself think when they turn on. Well not this one. Sure you can hear it but it it nothing like other compressors.... I liked it well enough that I orded another one for my other shop I am setting up.... It is a little pricey but I thoght the differance was worth it..... Don't hesitate, remember you usually get what you pay for.
Trust the Reviews on the T-30This is one neat little unit! Compact, QUIET, and very well made.
Let me first begin by addressing the ordering/shipping process. I decided after much review time to order the T-30 on 8/20/04. On 8/23/04, the unit arrived at my doorstep (Wisconsin to South Carolina). Keep in mind that there were two weekend days involved in this timeframe. It's hard to fuss about a duration that short!
As for the unit itself, the package did arrive (FedEx) with the top of the box opened. All contents however were intact (no damage at all). After a quick review of the instructions, I twisted on an air filter (supplied with the unit), ran to the hardware store and installed a quick disconnect. I powered the unit up and turned a switch, in less than a minute the unit was fully pressurized at EXACTLY 125 psi as noted in the manual.
My wife was on the phone in the adjoining room (door open) and commented after ending her conversation on how quiet the unit was during the pressurizing process. After dinner, I noted that the gauge was resting steady on 125 psi. I connected an air nozzle to the end and bled the unit down. The motor kicked in at EXACTLY 100 psi (as noted in the manual). After 14 QUIET seconds, the unit was resting steady again at 125 psi. I tried it again, same story. I can't wait to see how this unit performs in the shop!
As for first glance, this unit is well worth the extra $'s compared to any others I reviewed. And trust me, I think I checked out every comparable unit on the WEB. You won't go wrong with this set-up. I spent $294 (shipping included) with Amazon and had the unit ready to go in 3 days. Now that's tough to beat!

Initial glitch There were two main reasons I decided on this Thomas compressor.
The first was the noise level. The Thomas had the lowest db rating within its price range. It is much quieter than my old compressor and although still loud the noise level is livable. I really wanted the Panther compressor from Werther International. Similiar in size and specs to the Thomas however, the db ratin is 42db. That is about the same as nomal conversation. The only drawback with the Werther is the price tag, about $1600.
The 2nd reason was the 135psi top level air pressure. Here I was disappointed. The unit specs are that the unit turns off at 135psi, on again at 110psi. My unit topped out at 120-125psi and then shut off. It came on again at 110psi. I called Thomas and explained the problem. They thought it was a faulty pressure switch and immediately sent me a new one. After installing the new pressure switch I was disappointed to find the unit still turned off at 120-125psi. I again called Thomas and they advised me to take the unit to a Service Center for repair. I called the service center and they said the problem is common and can be fixed by adjusting the brass screw inside the switch. I again took the switch apart and found the screw. The screw has a Torx tamper resistant head and was also sealed with a bit of plastic to keep the driver from fitting into the slot. I pried out the plastic and luckily had the right size TorxTR bit. I adjusted the screw using trial and error and finally got the unit to shut off at the specified 135PSI. After the adjustment the unit turned on again at 120psi rather than the spec of 110psi. I found another black plastic screw that was sealed with wax. After removing the wax and again using trial and error I got the unit to start again at 110psi.
Quite a bit of trouble to bring the unit up to the specified psi specs. Thomas' customer service people were great in their prompt attempts to help me. I hope that Thomas will improve their quality control so that the units are right when they are shipped.
Other than this problem the unit seems to be well constructed and performs as expected.

great product, super fast deliveryproduct is exactly what i ordered, and the delivery was the best.
great compressor, could use minor improvementsThis compressor is fast - up to pressure quickly and recharges in about 12 sec. Cycles on and off frequently on a framing nailer, but the cut-in pressure is above the nail gun minimum, so no half shots and the cycle speed ensures no downtime. The footprint is compact and stable. Definitely quieter than the 3450 rpm screamers - for oil-less, this one is pretty good. A little noisier than I hoped, but not bad. You can be in the same room while it is running. Improvements? The pressure cut off occurs at 128-130 psi instead of 135 as advertised. Does it matter? Probably not. Should it be checked and set right at the factory? Probably. Despite the claim of no plastic shrouds, the outer end of the motor is plastic. Could be susceptible to getting bumped and broken. The air filter is under a plastic cover integrated on the cylinder head - looks durable and easy to access. And to top it off - the unit looks good. Would I buy one again? Absolutely. It does what it needs to do and it does it well. Add no maintenance for the oil-less and you have a winner.

Excellent extension cordTuff sheath, sealed ends, heavy gauge conductors support high amp power tools. The receptical end has an LED indicator that illuminates when the cord is powered. Maintained flexibility in moderately cold environments, well sealed for moist damp areas (use a ground fault!) this is a quality extension cord for those using higher amperage tools and equipment you wont find a better one anywhere.
Professional gradeI have bought 3 of these. Excellent for running power tools. The lighted cord comes in handy since usually at clean/finish up time it is dark. Only down side is that it is heavy. However that is to be expected with this quality. Also too thick and rigid to tangle, big plus. Stain resistent.
Heavier gauge = more power!Unlike the less expensive extension cords that are 14 or 16 guage, this one is 12 guage. This important aspect allows you to draw 20 amps of current to opperate your favorites tools without overheating the cord. Remember to plug it into a 20 amp outlet and you'll be able to utilize the the heavier gauge cord for what it was designed for.

this thing is great!Pretty sweet piece of kit. Suspends from the ceiling well, the rectracting assembly works well. Some people may complain that it is only 16 gauge, but it works well for quick jobs in a workshop.
Retractable Cord ReelThis is a great cord reel! Very easy to use. Sets easily. No unexpected wind-ups. It retracts with authority with a tug of the cord. Built well. Love it!
A MUST HAVE SHOP ACCESSORYUntil I installed this retractable extention cord I had to deal with a cord hanging over my work bench. With this product just a little tug and the cord is out of the way, no tangles and its long enough to reach every part of my 20'x 20" shop. Installation was a breeze, I used the celing mount but would work great as a wall mount too!

Where have these been all my life? What an awesome idea. I have a home recording studio and my rack unit has about ten effects, recorders, etc in it, each one with a wall wart or 3 prong plug. Using these little guys, I was able to plug them ALL into one power strip. In the past, you could really only plug about four wall warts (AC Adapters) into one 6 plug power strip since they were so wide one unit would typically hide two plugs. Take that same power strip and add 6 Power Strip Liberator Pluses. Now you can attach 6 wall warts AND still use all 6 of the plugs in the strip. What an amazing idea, and why the heck didn't I think of it first? Don't buy the cheaper knock offs...these guys invented this so IMHO they deserve the cash. A great product, solid as a rock, and a Godsend to those of us with waaaaay too many power cables to deal with.
Finally, a great idea on saving space on electrical strips.Excellent product. Allows one to not waste space on power strips due to the large size that many AC adaptors take, often blocking outlets. What a simple idea, yet one that totally solves this problem, while at the same time affording the option of plugging in another cord. I use these at my multiple computer workstations, as well as for the guitar pedals for my band, Off Yer Rockers. Possibilities are endless.
Very useful things to have around. These things are great to have around, as they free up space for giant adapter-type plugs, and give you an extra outlet to boot. Highly recommended for anyone drowning in cables. Construction seems very sturdy, and the wires are well insulated.

coleman solar extension cableAmerican made, good quality cable. The color makes it stand out outdoors so it is easy to spot, the clear connecting end is lit when power is present, so you know if it is plugged in.
Great cord for all uses. This cord is really helpful. The way the end glows when plugged in is a timesaver, especially if you have several lines plugged into one another. All you have to do is look and the end, and if it is lit, you know you have juice. And it will deliver plenty of power so you know you won't burn up your expensive tools and equiptment.

Psychedelic Misfits BandWe purchased this cord for it's multiple outlets to set up the stage for our band. Nothing could be easier or more effecient! Just lay it our and everybody can snag their own outlet without all the cords coming together like a spider's web!
AwesomeI am not sure why you would buy a "normal" extension cord ever again. The multiple outlets and the way they light up to verify power is super-nice!!
Enjoy!

Versatile auxiliary vacuum Great little versatile vacuum. Powerful enough to pick-up most stuff from your floors. Comes with many attachments. I use it on my hardwood floors, ceramic tiles as well as the couches.I can do a surface vacumming of your carpets but you still need something more powerful to deep clean it.
Its small weight and size makes it good also for the car.

redesign success storyI was distraught when my little 1-gallon shop-vac died recently. My roommate and I had used it for about 10 years as our primary vacumm--lightweight, easy to carry around the house, and it sucked up all the dirt and dog hair my pooch could bring in. The one-gallon vac is no longer available, so I bought this one. This vac is much improved over the old one--quieter, slightly larger capacity, has wheels and a longer hose, and we can now use the disposable bags or still just use the "bucket". All in all, they've taken a great product and made it even better. If it lasts as long as the old one, I'll be even happier!
Strong and LightweightEasy to use. Really picks up the dirt. Haven't used it for water yet. Attachments work great.

Not worth itGreat idea, bad design. Although the pockets are neat and convenient, the back pack is uncomfortable. The weight of the drill and hardware case (when full) pulls the pack down and away from you. In addition, the shoulder straps are cheap and not well designed. It would help to have a chest strap to clip the two shoulder straps together like on the hiking packs. The pack is also too big and bulky. Back problems have occured. Im going back to my $40.00 NorthFace pack. Much more confy.

Time SaverI am a Communications Tech, and this back pack is awsome. I can have all the tools I could possibly need for any job all in one bag. Including my 18volt Drill. I just put it on my back and it leaves my hands free to carry all the other stuff I need, like boxes of wire. saves me trips back and forth to my truck. It is great. Although you may have to customise the pockets a little for some tools. This is the perfect tool bag!
