I bought this item about a year ago so that I could plug my xbox and lcd display in my car. I'm still using it to this day.

I COULDNT FIND A CIGARETTE LIGHTER CHARGER FOR MY DELL INSPIRON 9100,DELL DOSENT MAKE ONE.THE Xantrex Technologies 851-0400 X-Power 400 Power Inverter IS PERFECT IT WORKS LIKE A CHARM IT HAS A CIGARETTE CHARGER AND ALSO DIRECT BATTERY CABLES IN WHICH I DONT NEED TO RUN MY INSPIRON 9100. THIS MODEL IS QUIT AND EASY TO USE. I AM GLAD I BOUGHT THIS PRODUCT, ITS A LIFE SAVER I CAN NOW BE TRULY MOBILE.

I couldn't find a 'factory' DC adapter for my Inspiron 9100. This Dell brick power supply that powers my lapop sucks juice faster than a Hummer. The Xantrex fan comes on only when needed and is moderately quiet when used with my laptop. No sound problems when watching a DVD on the laptop with the fan spinning. Even so, the fan doesn't come on but only 3-4 times during a movie for approx 10 secs. The Xantrex unit gets warm just to know its working, not warm such as it was working hard at all. Nice unit which replaced my 300W Tripp Lite.

Comes with a very nice handy case. Works great.
Nice bang for the buck

I needed something to charge my laptop while on the road. This low-cost gem fills the bill perfectly. One annoyance though, if the engine is not running, the unit will emit an annoying high-pitched whine as a warning, I suppose, of voltage drop.

Turn off the ol' hearing aid, if you must and try this beauty.

I use this to power my laptop in the car, while on the vehicle I use it on teh inverter isn't powered while the vehicle is off, it still works well while the car is on to power the laptop. This inverter also generates slightly more power than other power inverters, but beware, the screws on the bottom of the invert er can scratch up teh ilnterior of teh car if you put it on say plastic or some leathers. Works well though.

I was getting ready to take the family on a long trip in the RV and trying to figure out how I could let the kids play video games while on the road. I was reluctantly planning on buying a AC/DC TV/DVD combo until I found this thing. It has two 120 V outlets so I was able to connect my existing small TV and the Nintendo console. I also brought my laptop which plays DVDs. I was able to plug in the AC adaptor so they could watch movies as well (I know it's silly to go from the Car's DC, to the inverter, and then back to DC for the laptop but I didn't have a direct DC cable for the laptop so what the heck).

The inverter worked great and never got very hot. I sometimes had a "fault" when things were first turned on but they always cleared with a quick reset.

I have used it with lets' say 1) Think pad Laptop charger, 2) Ipod Charger 3) Cell phone charger and it has worked flawlessly. It's been more than a year and a half now. A very good feature is auto-shut off in case of overload or no-load.

I used the Tripp lite to charge my PowerBook and digital camera during a cross country trip to grad school. It worked great and I had no problems. The only thing I could have used was a second outlet.

What can i say, just think, i need somethink to plug my DiscoMovil to a car, but i don`t want to buy a diesel generator so i cross my finger and buy one power inverter and what do you think, now i can use my four 800 wats speakers, the PA1000x amplifier, the equalizer, the pyle 6 chanel mixer at full power (they can listen my music up to 500 meters), now i can give music, karaoke and anuncin services for parties and activities. (maybe i will try one American Dj reflex in the nigh, it can be funny) I recomended it, because, now i can get me CoffeMaker to the beach.

Took a trip and used with a microwave oven. Saved enough money by cooking at rest stops instead of finding fast food to pay for unit. Even my skeptical wife was impressed and wants to use it again on future vacations. This unit is powerful enough to be very versatile.

This is such a neat device. It works great for those times with the power goes out and it does double duty for camping, etc. There's no nead to mess with a large loud expensive generator. I highly recommend this inverter instead. I connected it to heavy duty jumper cables and I store it in a padded Aluminum tool case. This baby beats the Honda and Yamaha which are similar and over priced. This also puts out more power than both for much less money. It is light weight and just as quiet as Honda. Starts on one pull everytime

I recently purchased the Kipor Sinemaster KGE3000Ti and am very pleased with the unit. It is a very well designed generator and does all that is stated. I bought the generator to replace a different make one which was very noisy. I wanted an emergency unit and the previous one I had was so loud I was reluctant to use it as it would be disturbing to the neighbors. The Kipor is quiet and provides enough power to run my refrigerator with several lights or the microwave with several lights. The Kipor is also very easy to start.

I bought this item a few weeks ago. It is working fine so far.

Initially it looked bulky, but after fixing it in the port, it looked ok. I fix it in the port adjacent to the hand brake in my Toyota Corolla. Fixing in this port prevents the hand brake to be lifted & put on, which is a blessing a disguise. When I turn off the car, I put on the hand brake. Thus I remember to remove the inverter before putting on the hand brake (power inverters should ideally be removed from the port when the engine is not running).

I have charged my cell phone, headset & PDA using this device. I did not get a chance to test it with my laptop yet, but I think it should be ok, because of the 90W supply.
