just oki got this w the screwdriver. works fine doesnt fit as well as the one that came w the tool. may be defective but works and i got a good deal on it
Works well but jams into driver bodyThe caps seem to be misaligned with the body of the battery. Although I can get it in there and it works fine, God forbid when its time to get it out. Very tough and onconvenient. Disappointed in the quality control. I have 3 of these Milwaukee drivers and none fit well so its definitely the batteries not the driver.
Perfect FitI must be lucky - the battery fits my screwdriver just fine, no jams.

burned up twiceI bought the dewalt 871 14" chop saw because I was told it would cut metal. It cuts thin walled stock, but it doesn't cut a 3" mechanical tubing with 1/2" wall or 3" solid stock like promised. I could barely put pressure on the blade to keep it cutting. I don't feel like replacing the motor again.
Worst power tool I have ever owned!I bought this because I liked my brother's DW-874. Bad move. This thing is a piece of junk. The clamp is horrible, It comes loose, the screw striped out after 6 months. If you make 45 degree cuts the back of the clamp is so far back the blade can not cut all the way through the metal, to correct this you have to put an extra piece of material behind what you are cutting to space it out far enough to cut through. It vibrates no matter what you cut. I've used saws with less horse power ratings that have more power. It trips breakers all the time on circuits that don't trip when I use my 110v welder. If I had it to do over I would buy a hack saw!
Not worth the high priceI've had this for ~ a couple of years now. It's ok, and has decent power. It trips the ciruit breaker constantly when I try to cut through 1/4" square though, which gets annoying. It'll cut angle or thin stuff pretty quickly though.
But worst of all, is that weak miter clamp. First, it's hard to set it at the angle you want b/c you're never sure if you're exactly hitting the angle you want.. But when you do finally set it, after you tighten the work down, the whole clamp will move, and now you're at a different angle. Cheap!

Do not Waste your moneyThis thing doesn't work at all, It doesn't broadcast the signal 12 feet away with no walls. I think wireless internet and wireless phones are afecting the signal. Anyway do not waste your money like I did!!
Did the jobI needed to feed two (2) TV sets from a camcorder which was taping a discourse. The TVs were located downstairs in 2 separate rooms while the camcorder was running upstairs in the main auditorium. The distance was definitely less than 100 ft. Initially, when we set this up to test, the picture on the TV screens was clear with no static. However, when the attendees for the discourse began to fill the building, the TVs started to flicker and static. Once everyone settled, the picture seemed to stabalize and the guests could see most of the discourse clearly on the TV.
To summarize my experience...the transimitter/receiver did the job and setup was incredibly easy. However, it was an inconvenience for me to have to purchase 2 sets of the transmitter/receiver just to get an additional receiver. Lorex doesn't sell this separately. Don't ask me why? Other vendors that I researched do.

not too badI used it to run a signal from my Directv to the garage for use on a small television about 50 feet away. It does a great job, a little bit of static every now and then. It was easier than running a cable and probably cost a lot less.

fire hazzardI had one of these (j900) in my trunk which apparently bounced against the sidewall, knocked the leads loose, they arced together and started my trunk carpet on fire. The century mfg. co. won't return my calls, so I am trying to alert people to the potential disaster these products are.
Mine is no longer chargingI bought mine April 2001. It is no longer able to charge back up to power. It did work the first few months but now it is gone. It is interesting to see that I am not alone.
Died in less than 2 years.I hardly used it at all. Kept it charged & stored as instructed.
Used it as backup battery on pop-up camper if main battery died.
AC Adaptor died I think, no replacement available for 15VDC AC Adaptor.

Doesn't make a 90 degree cut..Like another reviewer mentioned, my saw is incapable of making a 90 degree cut. Don't buy it.
Poorly calibrated mistakeThis saw is not accurately calibrated. For example a 90 degree setting does not produce a 90 degree cut. I can forgive that and use a square or another tool to set measurements; however, this saw cannot produce a 90 degree cut, maybe 87 degrees at best. I regret wasting my money on this and will give it away to a goodwill store. I can't, in good conscience, sell it to anyone else. Black and Decker shouldn't sell anything that it can't be proud of and no one can be proud of this mistake.
Black and Decker Circular SawI have only used it once so far but it works great! Thanks! Shipping was fast too!

The Great Disappointment !!!The cutter is all wrong and the speed is way too fast, turns everything to mush... they obviously took an existing Dremel tool, made it orange and tried to sell it for pumpkin carving.. they should stick to metal and wood for the hobby customer.
Dremel toolIt is a nice item, but was not explained very well in the write up. I would like to return it. Could you please advise me on my return?
Thanks

Not for female hands! After 5 years our Skil battery operated screwdriver finally died. The screwdriver was still as strong as could be but the batteries we had for it would no longer hold a charge. (We actually had two batteries because in a move we lost the unit, but still had the battery and charger). We specifically searched for another Skil screwdriver because my husband had been so happy with them for so many years. We purchased a Skil 3.6 volt battery operated screwdriver (model 2936). I am so upset that we wasted $30 on this new piece of junk. It holds a charge for about 15 minutes and it is nearly impossible for my small female hands to remove the battery to place on the cumbersome charger. It actually takes me longer to remove the battery than the charge it holds. Based on the Skil name we foolishly did not save the packaging or receipt or even register the product. I used to recommend the Skil name to everyone, however in a few minutes though I am leaving to purchase a Black and Decker screwdriver!
Pretty good, except for the batteryI have to agree with other reviewers here that the battery life is terrible on this tool. I also had a previous good experience with a Skil screwdriver that I had for 5 years before the battery finally went. I replaced it with this unit because I liked the light and the articulation features (which are great).
My only other complaint is that the flathead and phillips bits are 2 separate pieces and theres nowhere on the screwdrived itself to store the unused bit, making it easy to lose. My previous Skil screwdriver had a reversible bit that was much more convenient.

Works wellMine works well thus far, and meets my expectations. It drives screws for furniture and disassembling packing crates, and provides more than enough torque for these applications. I haven't had any battery issues. It holds a charge for several days.
The site light is more useful than I expected, especially for furniture, where you need to see inside a countersunk hole.

Died after less than 20 hours ...I really can't recommend this product. I had hoped that something that said "Makita" on it would be a quality product, but they must have gone downhill since my dad used them (admittedly, this was at least 20-25 years ago.) My primary use for this was/is as a masonry grinder, grinding out old grout and/or cement for re-pointing. The location of the air intake at the front of the machine guarantees that it will suck in a *lot* of dust, and this ultimately led to the demise of the grinder. For metal grinding it might be okay, but not for anything of a silicaceous nature. It was absolutely burned out. I bought a DeWalt today ... Hopefully it will last longer ...
Sparks will flyThis would probably be a perfect tool for the hobbyist or weekend entusiast. With professional use you can expect it to last half as long as tools which cost twice as much, which seems fair. Its light weight will be appreciated when doing grinding in awkward or overhead areas. I rated it three stars because of the funny spindle size; in my area everyone stocks 5/8-11 and other sizes are hard to find. Don't expect greatness, but Makita is still a reputable company.
Great tool for smaller handsI really like this grinder. I am a professional tilesetter, and it has always worked great for me. It is lighter and smaller in circumference than the Dewalt, and the locking "on" switch saves my hand from getting tired. I have found it is very durable, too. The only thing I do not care for is that you have to manually remove the blades; it has no quick change system. I suppose that's my fault for not spending the bucks for that feature, though.

Incompatible Adapter/Battery Charger EH-31Page 163 of the Nikon CoolPix995 camera guide states that "The AC Adapter EH-31/30 cannot be used with the CoolPix995." The foregoing statement appears under the paragraph explaining the use of Nikon AC Adapter/Battery Charger EH-21.
some things to consider firstI didn't read anything about the need to remove the batteries while using the adapter with the instruction that came with the adapter. There was a warning about not using the adapter too long or else it might over heat the camera, but it didn't specify what "too long" is. The AC cable that came with the camera is only good for either 120 or 240 volts. You MUST use different cables for different voltages. My recommendation is to spend your money on getting more rechargeable batteries intead of buying this adapter. Make sure you get batteries with 1600mha ratings.
Does What You Expect of ItThe Coolpix 990 AC Adapter does just what it is supposed to do, which is to allow you to use your camera for as long as you wish without having to worry about batteries running down. This is especially important when downloading files to your computer. You can travel abroad with it as it works on 100-240 volts, 50 or 60 cycle AC. My only quibble is not with the adapter, but the camera circuitry, which requires that you remove the batteries when using any AC adapter. It will not recharge them, but might cause the batteries to overheat (according to Nikon).

About as primitive as you can get.Instead of a PC product, this is more like a dirt cheap sand casting from a 3rd world country. The "machining" is just as crude to boot. For instance, the guide rods are not even parallel in both the vertical and horizontal planes. And those cheap thumbscrews need pliers to keep the thing from slipping. I like the router it goes on, but this thing is a complete waste of money.
A little too cheap for meYes its an edge guide, but geese PC couldn't you have made this a little nicer than you did? This guide works, but the casting is so rough ( and flimsy ) that it makes it hard to run the router smoothly along your work's edge. It really is that bad. Compared to the BOSCH edge guide the PC is marginal at best. I modified mine with a phenolic ( polyethelene ) material cut to the same size as the guides, and used 3M double sided structural tape between the phenolic " glides " and the PC guides, and it works much better. Come on PC, I know you sell enough of the 690 series routers and accessories to justify some improvement.
Simple and SteadyI have used this edge guide on several projects. Despite the previous comments I have found it to work great for the intended purpose!
