You MUST have passed an FCC license test in order to legally operate in the 10 meter band, and have received the requisite FCC amateur radio operator license or you will be BREAKING FEDERAL LAW.
Ask some of the major truckstops that were recently heavily fined for selling amateur radio equipment as CB and not mentioning the license requirement if you want more proof. Or stick to CB if you don't want to take the license test and be legal.
That really should have been mentioned in the description of this equipment, because nobody without an amateur radio license has any business owning a transceiver like this.
