Work ? Gloves
Good Grip, Poor Performance otherwiseI liked its grip, It did very well when trying to hold things.
Fabric workmanship was poor at best. The red puller thingie was not very helpful. Didn't keep my hands as warm as when I used other brand gloves.

True Grip 88439446 Insulated Gloves, LargeNice gloves, however the sewn on grip began becoming unsown after only a few weeks of daily heavy duty work, light duty would most likely suit them best.

Why did I buy this??Can't remember why I thought I needed this sander sitter. You have to set the sander down in it perfectly or it spins off the bench. If using a variable speed on highest setting the whole thing will "walk" off the bench if you leave it running more than a few seconds. First time my sander hit the floor I was a little more than upset. The whole mech is too light. As for the cleaning aspect, with the new stearite disks you can get, here on Amazon and from suppliers like Klingspor, you are hard pressed to ever load em up anyway. It's another one of those "good ideas" that just doesn't transfer from concept to actual use very well. If you just really have to have one, let me know, I'll send ya mine for the cost of postage. Can't recommend this one.
Yes, this actually worksIt seems odd that you need to 'break in' this simple device but you need to. After following the directions, it works like a charm.
I make a lot of small stuff and I continually need to stop and rotate the part in the vise. I was doing these small spindles for a bookcase. 4 spindles x 4 rows x 2 sides x 4 sides per spindle = a helluva lot of time waiting for the sander to wind down. This thingamajiggie probably cut down the time needed by half. Really. No kidding.
If time is money, this investment started making profits for me the first day I owned it. Still, it seems awfully expensive for what it is. So, it only gets 4 stars.
UPDATE: I paid $24 for mine. I see that these are now selling for about $15. So, I'd give it a five.

This really works!!!This is truly a good product.I had a little trouble at first,it wanted just to shake in the carousel. I called the manufacturer (Baxter Creek Tools) to inquire about it. They were a great help. It seems that I didn't fan the paper disc upward with the palm of my hand enough, as per the instructions. Apparently paper comes in all different sizes, some a little smaller than 5" and some a little larger than 5", The Sander Sitter will actually roll the paper automatically but it has to have some room in the carousel to start with in order for it to work properly, according to the guys at Baxter Creek. After that it did spin like it was suppose to.This is great because it allows me to set my sander down while running for a momment, to move my project around. My sander is a little older and the braking mechanism is worn, and it seems like forever when I shut it off to come to a stop. Now with the Sander Sitter, it allows me to shut off my sander and set it down and go on to the next job without waiting. My sander winds down safely to a stop in the carousel. All this does save me time. And remarkably it does clean my paper extending the life of the disc. If you have a ROS. this is a good purchase.

Gloves wore out in less than a weekI also work for a major delivery company in the distribution center. Granted, we handle a huge number of boxes (over 1,000 per hour), but these gloves wore out in less than a week. The first two days the gloves performed wonderfully and made my job easier, but on the third day the rubber coating began to wear off. By the end of day four, the smooth leather was showing through. By the end of day five, the fingertips were all bare of the rubber coating and the terry cloth sweat wipe was starting to fail. If you're only handling a small number of packages, then maybe these will work for you. Otherwise, you might want to wait until Ironclad issues their new version, which is supposed to be a box handler glove for those that actually handle boxes for a living. For now, I didn't think the money was at all well spent considering I only got one week of use.
not a real package handler gloveI work as a delivery driver for one of the parcel companies, handling about 2,000 packages a week. These gloves did not last three weeks, and by that time the fingertips had serverd and a nice hole developed at the palms. I can't imaging how they would last in-building where 5,000 pieces are handled in one night. Surely Ironclad could have developed this glove with feedback and field testing from actual box handlers before labeling them as such.
Ironclad Box Handler - LargeExcellent grip, comfortable to wear. I use it for carpentry, work on my car, and shotgunning. The towel-like thumb works well to take sweat off the face in warm conditions.

Save Your MoneyThe concept is great. The vest is very comfortable. The quality however is terrible. In two weeks of every day use, One tool pouch pocket was ripped half way off and the other, the seem stiches have begun to come apart. This system is not, for the everyday carpenter!
work vestI have and wear this vest everyday. Once you loose those pouches on the bottom, the rest is great. It's got good sensible pockets for gloves, tape measure, pencils, small notebooks and yes! a machinist rule. Now that they mades a good vest, it's no longer available. Go Figure!
great toolbeltgreat tool carring vest. Had mine for nearly 5 years now ,one of my last cleints treid to repair it for me as it is in taters already. stronger canvas and stitching will help. Also if they can put a back support belt or system like what is in a backpack. Does any one else make something like it. Snickers vests is simaler but it seems only out of the U.K.

Not bad for small jobs...I got this one because it's small enough to take to job sites, but it's not big enough to do the vigorous cross-cutting in my workship -- max stock width is 6" (nominal). Unless you're going to lug it around, go with a sliding 10 or better 12" saw. Other than that, I love the saw. Quality is very good...
Great sawI purchased this saw about a year ago. The saw has performed great. The only reason I did not rate this saw a 5 is that changing the blade is a pain in the you know what. The small spring inside the blade gaurd is difficult to line up when reassembling after changing the blade. But the saw performed great right out of the box. It was very accurate. I do not have an extention table yet, I'm kind of cheap that way but I will be setting it up in a table system I have seen on The New Yankee Work Shop. I think you will like the saw very much. When this one is worn out I will buy the compound sliding miter saw next, but if not that one I would buy this one again.
An excellent sawFor a midpriced compound miter, this saw is an excellent choice! Solid, stable and accurate cuts all around. Plenty of power and lots of capability. A really good saw.

JunkThese knee pads are uncomfortable and when wearing them my knee cap shifts around on them. Not to mention that the plastic face slips on some surfaces. I decided to go with the cheaper knee keeper knee pads instead. They slip less and provide enough cushion for the price.
Good, could be betterPretty comfortable, could use a higher strap. I noticed a little bit of movement due to only one strap. Very durable product and you can notice the gel it is very comfortable against the knees. Would get five stars if it had a second strap.
Great knee pads! These knee pads work great. They fit very well and are actually comfortable. The hard plastic shell on the face looks like it will last a long time as well. I think its a real good buy.

china junkworked good for 1 tank of gas, filled with gas & it would not start, called to get it fixed, called 4 phone #, 0ne said it would take 3 months to fix,the other three told me it was a piece of junk, called mtd back, & they are going to send me a new one, hope it works better than the first one.
Not so EZ-StartI thought the name EZ-Start implied just that. However, I need to pull the cord many times before it fires and then it often dies until I get it going. This is with fresh gas and proper mixture. Otherwise, once it gets going, it's not bad.
Gas powered trimmerI am really impressed with this trimmer. It is light weight and has plenty of power to cut through the toughest grass. Though I don't have a use yet for the brush cutter blade, it's good to know that it has the option when I do need it.

accuracy of laser measureI was expecting the laser measurements to be to the nearest 1/8". However, the measurements are to the nearest 1". The system is programed to "round up" if 1/2" or greater. It is accurate to this degree but it doesn't provide exact measurements.
Great For Real Estate AgentsAs a real estate agent I needed to be able to quickly determine the dimensions of a room for my clients. The 3336 Laser Dimension Master is just what I needed. The distance calculations are done by sonar and the laser pointer is very helpful for sighting accurately. My clients are impressed and that's what I had hoped for. Can't beat it for the money.

Could probably stop a bullet...I do like this apron - it's strong, rugged and could probably stop a bullet... however, with that strength and durability comes a few negatives...it's stiff. Very stiff, and heavy. Think of the lead vest they make you wear at the dentist and you're halfway there. The weight and the stiffness also make it very hot to wear. In contrast to the apron itself are the straps - they're only a 1/2-inch thick and a little cheesy compared to the beefiness of the apron. They're not wide so they tend to dig into your shoulders - did I mention it's heavy...? You also have to thread the straps through two little loops and tie it in a bow behind your back every time. On the plus side, this is the only vest I wear when I work on larger machines. I feel much safer behind this apron when I'm on a table-saw, jointer, or anything else that could hurtle large pieces of wood at me.
In conclusion, a very strong, heavy, stiff, hot, durable apron with weak straps. If I could combine the durability of this apron with the straps of the Rockler apron, it would probably be a 5-star apron. Great and safer for heavy work, but get a lighter weight apron for finish work.

Great work apronThe review I read about this apron was helpful, the one that compares this apron to a lead vest, but I have to disagree about the weight.
The material is a thick nylon (one sixteenth thick). Nylon is extremely lightweight. This vest is not heavy, it is very Light. It is lighter in weight than my previous canvas vest, but much, much more durable. The box that the vest was shipped in weighed less than 1 pound.
This vest has good pockets, although they are stitched on with only a single row of stitching.
I look forward to using this apron for several years, it should last that long. My canvas apron only lasted 5 months befors it was worn through and ripped. That will not happen with this apron. Splintery wood will not rip or penetrate this apron, it just rolls off.
There is one thing I noticed about this apron that might end up being a problem, and that is that the stitching of the pockets is done with a single row of stitching. Most heavy-duty peices of work gear are double or triple stitched. Not this one.
In my opinion, this is the best work apron available on amaazon.com.

Can't keep kneepads on my kneesI've tried to use these kneepads for washing floors and weeding gardens. However if I stand up or even attempt to crawl forward, the kneepads slip. I'm soon wearing them down around my calves.
It doesn't matter how much I tighten the two straps, the kneepads won't stay in the proper position. The only thing I haven't tried is sewing them to an old pair of jeans. Even if I did that, the kneepads are so heavy, they'd probably pull the jeans down.
Lord help a really slender person who tries to wear this product.

Very ComfortableVery Comfortable. Actually knelt on gravel for 3 hours and my knees were the only part of my body that wasn't sore at the end of my car repair ordeal.
I was pleased until I wore them to work.
After 1 day the seams on the fingers were blown out in 2 places.
Bad/lightweight stitching.
If I'd worn them for a week they'd been a safety hazard with shredds hanging.
And I was just handling wood frame stock.
Not tuff enough for everyday use.
I returned mine.
