DisappointingI tried this pair after my first pair of Mechanix Wear gloves wore out. These gloves didn't have nearly the fit and finish of the Mechanix Wear gloves. I could feel things with my fingers, but the rest of the palm didn't fit that well. Look into the Mechanix Wear Womens or 1.7 glove for better fit. Even the Mechanix Original fits just as well.
wonderfulDespite some negative reviews, I bought this for my wife to trim roses without problems with thorns. She found them very comfortable, and they protected as advertised.
Best gloves everThese are my favorite gardening gloves ever. Usually I feel like I can't tell what I'm doing with gardening gloves and rip them off so I can feel the weeds and roots and dirt. However, with these it feels like I'm not wearing gloves at all - except my fingernails are cleaner and my hands don't get as sore. Hooray!

Not what it used to be.I bought a Smith&Hawken digging fork back in 1985, and FINALLY, now 20 years later, broke the handle. Rather than try to fix it, I looked at the digging fork now offered -- it certainly appeared to be the same -- and so ordered a new one. I was very disappointed to discover that the advertising is incorrect. That is: The fork head is advertised to be 8" wide (the width of my old one being 8"+) and the one now sold is just 7"!! This may not seem to be much of a difference, but to me it is. I am not a big person, but my size 10 shoes constantly slip off the shoulders of the head while pushing the fork into the ground. In looking at other brands offered, I see that all other heads are advertised as being 7"... So, I went to a welder, and had 4" angle-irons welded onto the fork. Not pretty, but at least I can work. I'm very disappointed in S&H's downsizing.

Handy Tool, But Could Be ImprovedI received my Camakiri 180 Double Edge Mini Sickle recently, and have tried it out, cutting weeds and undergrowth at our small country place. The pluses are light weight, clever design (especially the multi-position head), good feel, and extremely sharp blade. It is possible to use a little wrist snap and quickly take down whatever weeds, etc., are in your sights.
The minuses are that the blade is a bit brittle, and will nick fairly easily if you hit a rock or even hard wood. I was able, however, to restore the edge fairly well with a file. The other minus, for me at least, is the shortness of the handle. I am subject to back pain if I bend over much, and the handle is short enough that that is required in order to whack weeds, etc., along the ground. A longer handle would be nice. I would like to see Silky offer a stronger blade and a longer handle on the Camakiri, and then I think they would have a 100% winner. It's still a very nice little tool for the right purposes, and I expect to get some good use out of it.

XAE1 Grub Head For AE1 Hoe
Made by AM LEONARD

In a word - disappointedThe tool itself is pretty well made. It is also a nice width. However, it lacks the weight to be effective. Kind of like swinging an axe that is too light. The weight of the head should be doing most of the work. I find that I'm the one doing most of the work. I also reviewed the handle they recommend with this head. It's way too slippery and too long for my taste. I find that the combination of the light head and the slippery handle causes the thing to slide all over as I use it. The cost of the head and handle along with shipping made this quite expensive. I would not recommend you do it.

This tiller sucks and that is being kind. This tiller ran well the first year and stopped. My husband took it to a tractor sales place for repair and was told they get these tillers in all the time for repair. Buyer beware!
Mixed thoughts...This is not a bad product, but I'm weighing how I feel about the automatic earthworm avoidance technology vs. the beaver-skin grip uphostery which I have some ethical problems with. It tills well and is easy to maintain, though as a word of warning I think they could have been a little more clear that pressing the blue button located behind the root seperator causes the entire unit to blow apart in a shower of hard candy and gum. I called tech support and they indicated this was part of the documentation. Read the fine print!
Terrific tiller!I own 2 Mantis tillers, 1 is about 12 years old and still works great. No, they are not for breaking up virgin ground, but for tilling out weeds and getting real close to established plants without cutting root systems, it can't be beat. Easy to control. Parts and accessories are expensive. (felt air filter - $[...])

8P Hand Push Aerator
Made by OHIO STEEL IND.

Well built, but very hard to use...I found the 8P Hand Push Aerator to be well built and it was exactly as described in the Amazon listing. The major problem was that it was too hard to operate. It might have just been my hard compacted soil, but I had a very hard time just pushing the aerator across my lawn. I could not see myself doing this very often, so I ended up returning it.

Soho Watering Can
Made by Smith & Hawken
- This stainless steel can has a narrow tip that reaches through foliage direct to the soil
- The slender handle loops through the can to form the spout
- Handle adds structural rigidity and balance for one-handed watering
- Holds just under two quarts
- Measures 9" H

Disappointing function, beautiful formI really wanted to like this watering can, but it's only got good looks going for it. As a simple watering tool, it falls surprisingly short. The last two-thirds of water comes out in spurts, as opposed to a steady stream, which makes me think something about the design is prohibiting the uptake of water. Then, it's nearly impossible to completely pour out the can until empty, unless you rock it back and forth sloshing the water out or turn it over and shake it out. Since I was looking for a more than just a decorative object, I'm afraid this has to go back to the store.

worthlessThey work like a slinky....which means you end up annoyed playing with it and never get to use it because it tangles, snaps back and clogs...oh and water never gets to come out where you want it...
Coil Hoses don't really live up to expectationsYes they do kink. In fact ALL THE TIME. They do not corner. They get tangled ALL THE TIME. Very Irritating Product. After 3 weeks of use, we will be throwing this hose out and getting something that WORKS.
