Could be GoodThis sounds like a wonderful idea for a garden glove.Since no size range is given,I imagine these are the teensy, dainty size gloves that women are SUPPOSED to wear. What about those of us who have large hands, yet are not men??????
Perfect Garden GlovesI use about 12 pairs of garden gloves a year. These are absolutely perfect. Not too bulky. Not too warm. Good quality that will hold up in the washer. Rubberized palm is an absolute necessity.
Cute and durableThese glove are very attractive and other wonderful features. They are breathable and have rows of non skid dots lining the palms. Very Nice

Chipper Shredder Vac: 1.5 hp Electric

A good $200.00 machineDon't count on this machine to save you any work, it is way underpowered, the feed chute is too small and is prone to clog.
I tried it twice after reading the manual cover to cover and tried to follow the instructions to the letter. I literally spent more time clearing jams and disassembling the unit then I did shredding.
I learned that to shred pine needles, plan on about 30 minutes to shred one garbage can of needles, the feed rate is so slow I gave up.
This unit is fine for the organic homeowner who may shred some orange peels and leaves for the compost pile, but not for any serious work. I expected so much more for $729.00.
Excellent ProductProduct Far Exceeded my expectations. It handles the jobs I need without the worry of gas and oil. I've been using it for years and it takes care of leaves, twigs and the sort with ease. Patriot is a great company and they will bend over backwards to help you out.

Garden Rocker I ordered this item for my husband it came, but was missing 2 velcro straps so it does slip around unlike it's advertisement on here!!
Very Handy for the Active GardenerThe Garden Rocker offer much more utility than standard gardening benches because it allows you to tilt forward and side-to-side to reach things rather than forcing you to continually get up to position your bench just right. The Rocker also won't sink into soft soil as readily as wheeled benches and doesn't hurt your knees like pads do. The height of the base adjusts quickly via a bolt-and-wingnut that just requires hand tightening, so different people can share the same unit.
The addition of the cushion is invaluable since otherwise, the seat is just hard (albeit contoured) plastic. The cushion attaches to the base with a series of velcro straps, keeping the two firmly secured to each other. It features several hanging pockets on the sides for hand tools. Both the cushion and the sturdy plastic base can be easily surface-cleaned.
The Rocker is surprisingly compact compared to the photos that I'd seen and to my own expectations. This is good from a storage standpoint, but it does mean that it takes a little time (and faith) to get used to in the field, i.e. you may feel like it's going to dump you on the ground for the first few minutes of use. Once you adjust to its feel, you'll never go back to traditional gardening seats and pads again.

Great little trimmerThis trimmer is a little heavy for a woman, but exactly what I expected and you can't beat the price. Works great.
Toro cordless trimmerI would recommend this trimmer. My only basis for comparison is the Toro cordless with a 6 volt battery I used for probably 8 years with no problem until the battery died. I like this one much better. It has a 12 volt battery, so it cuts much easier and faster. It is heavier because of the bigger battery, but still light enough for me, a small 51 year old woman. I like the way you can make the edges look like you used an edger. I was unable to control an edger or gas powered trimmer due to the weight.
A Cut AboveThis cordless trimmer is by far one of the best that I have owned. It's 12 volt battery is more than powerful enough for most household jobs. Who need a gas model when this Toro works just as well.

3HKP Forester Brute Cut

Poor Performance - NOT Economical to ReturnIn my opinion, the 3HKP (Porter Pruner 0390F) Forester Brute Cut Loppers do NOT perform as stated, are to expensive compared to alternative and comparable products, and shipping cost and policies make them uneconomical to return for refund. I do not recommend their purchase for any application.
My application is forest management, which involves tree and vegetation thinning, and removing tree limbs - mostly pine and cedar. My crews and I are experienced with many tools, such as chain saws, hand-held motorized brush cutters, and loppers. For small diameter (under 2 inch) tree removal, where use of power equipment is too dangerous, not practical, or not as efficient we use loppers.
The 3HKP specifications advertise its strong steel construction, ability up to handle 2" material, and ease of use when additional leverage is needed to slice through that difficult cut. First, the ability to cut through 1.5" to 2" limbs (or tree trunks) is a chore, unlike other loppers. The spread of its handles to mount a limb is too wide for the average person. Blade design causes the tips of the cutting blades to get stuck in the material, especially if the unit is rotated while cutting, which is often necessary to ease through larger (in the 1" to 2" range) or harder material such as manzanita. Pulling back on the handles to lengthen them (into the "Power Slot") for more leverage is not easy, and does not work well at all, especially when cutting parallel to the ground to remove live trees. Besides, the rubber handles come off when you pull on them, causing more time to be wasted. And yes, we followed the instructions to discontinue cutting pressure while shifting into the next power slot.
Overall, their weight (and they are heavy,) poor cutting performance, very wide handle spread, and resistance to extending both handles simultaneously for maximum leverage make them a poor choice. Add to this the $18 or so A. M. Leonard charges for shipping, and their return policy - they will NOT reimburse the shipping charge or return shipping costs, and your nearly worthless purchase is a total waste. I discussed my experience with the company, and they would not cover the shipping costs, or offer any assistance with remedies to overcome our operating difficulties. Brutes they are for sure - both the product and the company.

Used one for 20 yearsThe previous review is right in only ONE aspect. THIS model is heavy. There is ( or used to be ) a lighter model.
I purchased this model as a replacement for a 50 year old version for my father. The two of us have used the lighter version to demolish untold amounts of brush. My dad and I swear by this beast.
Unfortunatley, manufacturing times have changed, and the rubber handle on the newer model is mostly useless, as the reviewer says.
Also, this model, at 8 pounds, is a bit heavy.
Those two things being said, this is perhaps the easiest, most devastating brush cutter I have ever used. Growing up on a 10 acre christmas tree farm, with over 10 apple trees to prune each year. ( not dwarves mind you, old farm, old dad, old trees! )
Plus the usual farm brush clearing and the occasional hardwood that got in the way, I can unequivocally say that the "difficulties" in using this lopping shear are well worth the minimal effort in mastering.
If you have a lot of trimming to do each year of 1/4" or larger branches, UP to 2", you will not ever regret owning this brute.
It is a brute.
It cuts like a brute.
I wish I could find it's older, lighter relative, as my dad (80 and still pruning ) is complaining about the weight of the new one.
About 2 years ago, AM Leonard had two versions of this pruner. The current one is the heavy duty one.
Anyone knowing someplace to purchase the lighter duty one, please email me at rhousedorf@gmail.com If I can find the light duty one ( which is heavier duty than any other pruner on the market and easier to use ) I get to have my dads new, heavy duty one.
To sumup, it's heavy, it will cut anything you can fit it around, with EASE I might add... and it will last you about 50 years.
Just replace the stupid rubber handles with a nice hardwood dowel sawed in half and bolted on...

not at all like the picture! This compost bucket was a BIG disappointment. In the photo it is shiny and attractive - in reality it is cheap looking. I promptly returned it, especially after my husband took one look at it and said "no way"! That had been my reaction too, but I wanted to see what he thought as well. Do not be fooled by this photo!
Very nice compost pailI really like this compost bucket; it is really nice to have one that is actually nice looking. I like the look of the copper and it also holds a good amount.

This item will not be suppliedThe item pictured is an excellent tool that I have used for years and have given many as gifts, but my low rating is due to false advertising. You cannot get it here. Smith and Hawken will accepty your order and charge your account while supplying a substitution.
The big difference between the tool pictured and the one now supplied is that they have reduced the size of the handle to the point that is is painful to use for any period of time unless your hand is extremely small. This seems to be so that the Smith and Hawken name can be prominent on the handle. The substituted tool is also slightly shorter and the balance is thrown toward the front of the tool, possibly because of the undersized handle.
I cannot form an opinion of the quality of th esteel blade because I am returning several that I ordered without use...

Right Handed Weeders are the BestI have lived on our family farm most of my life since I was 9mo old and am now 51 years. We enjoy foreign travelers as well as many people interested in organic farming from across the USA. Throughout the years we have gone through numerous tools but about ten years ago a visiting gardener gave me a right handed weeder. It is so strong and precise I feel it is like an extension of my right arm as I weed my year round raised board beds (we have clay soil and it rains a lot in SW Washington so with the beds I create soil I can work year round)Anyway, a few years ago, I wanted another tool but couldn't find one. A library friend who I garden for found the tool at Smith & Hawken - I was over joyed to find them and ordered 4. They are fantastic gifts for your garden friends. I gave one to my neighbor and she is so amazed and wonders how she got along without it. Thank you for importing these from England

Very DisappointedFirst off, this table arrived with pieces falling out of a box that looked like it had been shipped around the world. The metal is sprayed with green enamel paint - I expected it to be black since it was described as wrought iron. The wood slats are chipped and dinged. I will have to sand and varnish them. I would have expected a price of at least half of what I paid for the quality of the table.
rumford potting benchVery nice , well made, and it was very EZ to put together.

Watering wand...almost...a good one.For the most part all of the components are very good. However,
the spindley hose falls way short for actual use. If the hose
were a larger diameter then this would be a good tool to have around.

Watering Wand with 40' Recoiling HoseVendor delivers fast and everything is in perfect condition when it arrives. The hose is slow, but compared to water all over me or the floor, it is a small thing to worry about. I guess I need to learn how to slow down in any case, as I rush through life in nearly everything I do. Great for fish tanks too. I only have to fill my bucket for tank water preparation half full now, and finish it up with my hose.....again, a work in patience, but well worth it compared to backaches carrying water too heavy, or water all over the floor.
I use it for my wood hauler and as a muck cart for my stables. I can carry fense posts when I put it in a dolly configuration and when I need to muck out the stalls, I simply convert it into a cart.
I got the Tow Bar for it and hook it up to my riding lawnmower when I need to get around my place and have to have a trailer for all the work tools or other things I need to haul.
It is just great and I don't know what I would do without it.
Thank you for inventing such a usefull and easy to use all around utility piece.
