My new gardening basic tool...This rake is well made and light weight. Once you start using it; you will take it with you all through your gardens. Raking with this works well for wildflower planting. Wildflower seeds need to be raked in gently. Most large rakes would go too deep and bury the seed... which you don't want. This little honey just skims the top of the soil enough to mix the seed in; but, not bury it. Use it to cover vegetable seeds lightly after planting; without having to bend over or use a heavy hoe. I recommend this for every avid gardener. It makes a good gift for a new gardener or a gardener in need of more tools. Add some garden gloves, a bib garden apron with lots of pockets, and a new plant... for a super gift any gardener would love.
This rake is priced right and as a gift; it will be used for years to come... Not added to a box of junk for next years garage sale... *wink*.

Solid, straight-forward, simpleSome assembly is required -- you attach the head of the rake to the shaft by positioning it and then putting in a single screw. The shaft is made of a fairly hard wood, so this is not completely easy, but once it is done, the rake feels solid and strong. I've had no problems with it so far.

- With steel teeth forward and down, it cultivates, prepares seed beds and rakes up dead forage
- Pull it in the other direction and it penetrates less
- Turn it over so teeth are up and it's a drag mat!
- Harrow Rake Size: 4 1/2 ft.W x 5 1/2 ft.L

Rake with your lawn tractor.

The best magnetic cleanup tool hands down
- Overall Widths 32in./32in.
- Wheel Size Skids
- 18 Tines

Perfect tool for the jobThe tool arrived on my doorstep requiring some simple assembly. It took about 45 minutes to fully unpack and assemble the product. The packaging was very good, and I felt that it offered great protection during shipping. The user manual is also the assembly guide, and I had no issues with the documentation. The documentation was available in both English and Spanish. Once assembled, the tool is not meant to be folded away or taken apart again, so make sure you have a safe place to store it. The dethatching tines are steel, and can be dangerous!
The dethatcher is fully adjustable to fit your tractor or mower hitch, and the tines are further adjustable to provide the right amount of "bite" into your lawn. The dethatcher accepts standard accessory weights if you wish to add more cutting depth to the tines. The skids on the tool work very well, especially on my hard clay soil.
I found the product to work as expected, and it far surpassed my expectations of such a small and inexpensive unit. I would recommend buying the right tool for the job however, so if you have a lawn over 1 acre, or a larger tractor, you'd be better off buying a larger dethatcher. Agri-Fab has many to choose from.
My lawn consists of Zoysia grass which is very dense and builds up thatch quite easily. I dethatch twice a year, and remove about 12 bushels of material each time. Agri-Fab has provided me with a durable and inexpensive tool to complete my job. I highly recommend this one folks... five stars all the way!

Poor Mulcher yet Very Good Blower for small areasAs an electric leaf blower, it operates as described. The convience of electric means trading messy gas motors for a cord that trails. It is more powerful than the price would suggest, yet it is not a proffessional grade blower.
The bottom line is that it is convienent for blowing leaves from decks and porches, and it can vacuum up 'easy' leaves in small areas like window wells.
outstanding lawn vac
Blowing power is great; haven't tried vac/mulching yetAfter cutting the lawn again, I was anxious to try out my new toy. The first time I turned it on I literally elevated on to my toes... That's how much power this thing has. It was so liberating to watch our grass leftovers be COMPLETELY cleared from every area in less than ten miutes. I also blew all of the little pebbles off of our driveway, and I plan on tackling all the dirt and debris that's found a resting spot on our garage floor. Of course, when using the blower you have to be careful where you aim. Once I accidently let the blowing stream get too close to my mulch and had to go patch that spot later - LOL.
I can actually say that I'm looking forward to fall when all the leaves drop so I can try out the vac/mulching capabilities. My father - who is near 60 - has two giant trees in his front yard and three in his back yard. Every year he has to rake around 30 bags of leaves, and I'd like to give him a break. After the Toro 51573 and I have a go at his yard later this year, I'll update my review with the results...
