Weeders Review Fantastic Garden Tool
As simplistic as the tool is it is hard to imagine surviving a day in the garden without the Hori-Hori. Solidly constructed it will withstand any punishment you deliver. With its slightly concave blade it will penetrate the most stubborn soils and pry up the most tenacious weeds with ease. The serrated edge cuts any roots blocking its path. The opposite edge is smooth but not sharp which allows carefree handling. The sheath has a belt loop for convienent carrying. I have also uncovered a larger version of the Hori-Hori with a total length of 14 inches. However this 11 inch model has performed quite nicely in my garden. Perhaps a bit overpriced considering the inexpensive vinyl sheath provided to house the Hori-Hori but overall a worthwhile investment.

Weeders Review Makes Me Feel Like the Karate Kid!
When I'm in the Garden wielding my hari hari knife I feel like a super hero in an action movie.

Weeders Review Used it for years, no other tool needed.
Digs any kind of holes in any kind of soil easily. Best dandelion digger in the world. I've lost two and replaced them as soon as I finished searching. Paint the handle red!

    Weeders Review Ames Pony
Ames Pony Garden spades are the top of the line. I worked as a contract tree-digger for a number of years, and I can tell you these spades are perfectly balanced and nearly indestructable. The force we would apply to these spades as a matter of course would destroy an ordinary spade in hours. If you do hard digging, get an Ames Pony!

Weeders Review Does more than they claim!
This little wonder has been the envy of my neighborhood when it comes to landscaping tools. They claim it is good for mixing peat moss with soil but they fail to mention how it works with sod. I have found that this tool, with a minor amount of muscle, can transform a patch of lawn into a flower bed in no time! Pushing the cutter just under the soil surface will leave a nice strip of sod that can easily be rolled up transplanted or mulched. The tool also works great for preparing the garden for planting by tilling the soil without "moving" it down the garden.

    Weeders Review Pleased knees
The nicest thing about this weeding set is that it comes with a knee pad. I know that I wouldn't be able to weed my garden nearly as long with out it.
The double sided tool is also a nice touch. How many times have you needed more than one gardening tool and not been able to find it easliy? This takes care of that problem by combining two tools into one. The spade is especially nice for getting at those hard to pull weeds. The claw makes your soil soft for future planting.
This would be a great gift for anyone with a garden!

Weeders Review Mini Weeder by Wolf-Garten
This is a smaller version of my favorite tool over the last 25 years. The hand tool metal handle that's available should hold up well. The older plastic handle I bought in the 80's broke. I still use the 25 year old large weeder--I just needed a new metal handle because I was too tough on it. It broke recently, the toold didn't. While I was shopping, I saw this little one, I had to try it!

Weeders Review This item will not be supplied
The item pictured is an excellent tool that I have used for years and have given many as gifts, but my low rating is due to false advertising. You cannot get it here. Smith and Hawken will accepty your order and charge your account while supplying a substitution.

The big difference between the tool pictured and the one now supplied is that they have reduced the size of the handle to the point that is is painful to use for any period of time unless your hand is extremely small. This seems to be so that the Smith and Hawken name can be prominent on the handle. The substituted tool is also slightly shorter and the balance is thrown toward the front of the tool, possibly because of the undersized handle.

I cannot form an opinion of the quality of th esteel blade because I am returning several that I ordered without use...

Weeders Review Right Handed Weeders are the Best
I have lived on our family farm most of my life since I was 9mo old and am now 51 years. We enjoy foreign travelers as well as many people interested in organic farming from across the USA. Throughout the years we have gone through numerous tools but about ten years ago a visiting gardener gave me a right handed weeder. It is so strong and precise I feel it is like an extension of my right arm as I weed my year round raised board beds (we have clay soil and it rains a lot in SW Washington so with the beds I create soil I can work year round)Anyway, a few years ago, I wanted another tool but couldn't find one. A library friend who I garden for found the tool at Smith & Hawken - I was over joyed to find them and ordered 4. They are fantastic gifts for your garden friends. I gave one to my neighbor and she is so amazed and wonders how she got along without it. Thank you for importing these from England

Weeders Review Well built, but very hard to use...
I found the 8P Hand Push Aerator to be well built and it was exactly as described in the Amazon listing. The major problem was that it was too hard to operate. It might have just been my hard compacted soil, but I had a very hard time just pushing the aerator across my lawn. I could not see myself doing this very often, so I ended up returning it.

Weeders Review Ames True Temper Dandelion Weeder - not built to last
I used this tool for approximately 20 minutes before the steel blade began to bend. With each additional use the blade bent further until it was very difficult to use. I have relatively soft ground and was not using excess force. The country of origin was not indicated on the tool but because it bent so easily I believe it probably was produced in China. I cannot believe anyone has had success using this tool!
