I bought this to mow field grass with my ATV and add it to my lawnmower with a 4' deck on it. It works very well, it got bogged down once in some thick wet weedgrass but other than that it has worked great. For $1400 plus FREE shipping (500 lbs) it certainly has saved me from buying a 10K plus tractor.

I bought the earlier model T1360B1, 3 years ago,which is identical to the current model, but only has a 13hp Briggs& Stratton engine. I cut five acres with this mower attached to a Cub Cadet Tractor with a 60 inch mower also. Combined they make short work of my yard. The Swisher has given me no problems, wish I could say the same for the Cub Cadet............

Okay, so you are thinking: "twisty ties? big deal!". Let me set you straight. Just the existence of this item leads me to think of the aesthetic beauty that surrounds us -- waiting to be tied together.

No bon vivant would be caught without 100' of green twist tie in his satchel. (Such satchel being itself tied with said article!) Immanuel Kant wrote in "Critique of Pure Reason" about the sensibilities of tying together our own morality, consciousness, and our freedom. I think that the green twist tie itself is a metaphor for such systematicity.

Also, this stuff is just plain handy to have around the house, garage, and garden.

The weight and performance of the weedeater itself, is very good. However, the bag that is furnished for vacuum, is really bad. On second use, the zipper broke, the same problem I had with previous one I owned. They need to redesign zipper with making sure it is stronger and goes straight across. The bag throws out a lot of dirt, which is bad for your respiration and cleanup.

I've had this blower/vac for about six months now. Overall I am very impressed for the money I paid. This model was rated well by a leading consumer magazine and I understand why. It is very powerful and the ability to change from a blower to a vac is great and quick. The changing process is the only place I see a need for a slight improvement. You need a small screwdriver to make the change and the process could be tool free with a small redesign. This is still a great product and I would recommend it to anyone.

I mainly use the vac portion of this product. The bag's zipper got crossed teeth after about 8 uses. Called weedeater and they said go to a local dealer. I'll write back on how that goes. Otherwise is a good product.

This is a smaller version of my favorite tool over the last 25 years. The hand tool metal handle that's available should hold up well. The older plastic handle I bought in the 80's broke. I still use the 25 year old large weeder--I just needed a new metal handle because I was too tough on it. It broke recently, the toold didn't. While I was shopping, I saw this little one, I had to try it!

I HAD BEEN LOOKING FOR A RIDING LAWN MOWER FOR THTEE MONTHS, AND FOUND THAT EVERY THING I LOOKED AT WAS SIMILAR, A LITTLE LESS HERE A LITTLE MORE THERE IN FEATURES. THEN I FOUND THIS MTD YARD MAN LAWNTRACTOR 13AY614 THAT HAD "FAST ATTCHMENTS" AND DROVE LIKE A CAR. THERE WHERE SIMILAR MTD PRODUCTS, WITH DIFFERENT SUB DIVISION "NAMES" BUT MOSTLY ALIKE! THE COST WAS LESS THAN THOSE NAME BRANDS (JD, SNAPPER, ECT) YOU GOT MORE FEATURES FOR LESS $$. THE ONE THING I DIDN'T GET WAS PULLING CAPABILITIES, I WANT TO MOVE A BOAT TRAILER AROUND, MTD DOESN'T HAVE ANY SPECS, OR THEY DON'T GIVE THEM OUT, NOT EVEN TO THERE DEALERS? I TRIED TO FIND OUT FROM THERE WEB SITE, BUT DIDN'T FIND THE INFO I WAS SEEKING?? ASIDE FROM THE LACK OF THAT INFO, I ONLY HAD TO ADJUST THE DECK ANTISCARFF WHEELS DOWN AN INCH, TO PREVENT CUTTING TOO CLOSE WHEN ROUNDING MY TREES, THE 18 INCH TURNING RADIOUS WAS THE SHARPEST TURN IN A LAWN TRACTOR. I GOT A GOOD VALUE IN THE YARD-MAN MODEL 13AY614.

I've tried a lot of different gadgets to make it easier to go from the mower bag to the garden trash bag, and this one is the best so far. Upend it, slip the bag over the bottom, flip it back up, and you are ready to go. Holds about two or three mower bags full. Works almost as well on its side for leaf raking. Drawbacks: it's big and doesn't collapse down for storage, and it's so easy to pack grass into it you are tempted to overload the bag, particularly if you are cheap like me and buy the 0.005 mil stuff. It helps to have a bucket-sized object to mash the leaves/grass into the top.

This "Bug" is really poor. I bought a yardman and experienced a lot of trouble: Gasline leakage, engine failed to start, etc. So it is not a best buy for your choice!

I received my Yard Bug in a week from the time I ordered it. The Trucking Company called me two days before delivery and I explained to them that this was a private residence and I had no way to unload it if they sent a tractor trailer or regular box truck. After hearing my situation, they sent it out on a lift-gate truck and used a palate- jack to take it from the street to my garage. I followed the instructions, put the battery on charge while I ran some errands for a couple of hours, hooked up the battery when I got home and drove it away. Put it through it's paces for about a halh hour ahd am real satisfied.

I really like the bug except you cannot mow in reverse. How can I bypass this micro device. Please explain

I purchased this item a few weeks ago to mainly kill fly's. It seemed that this wasn't happening as there were fly's still around and no evidence of fly's being killed. At night there would be a lot of flying bugs getting zapped though the noise would make you jump every time. It scared my Labrador Retriever to the extent she would not go outside after dark. The final straw happened when a young squirrel laid dead underneath it with no marks on it at all, I could only figure that it had got zapped. I finally switched it off and hung-up some zip lock bags with water inside, now there are no fly's and no interference with the ecology of our garden.

My husband and I recently moved to a very rual area between two national forest in NCA and were being eaten alive by bugs of all kinds. We purchased two of these units and it has made a significant reduction in the bug problem for us. We would suggest this to anyone who has a bug problem and enjoys the outdoors.

If you're sidewalk isn't badly overgrown, or if very short, you MIGHT be ok with this. I have a TB475 4 stroke weed eater, and it just wasn't enough power to do it without getting a permanent case of the shakes from holding the trimmer at full throttle (vibration) that long. If you have more than about 30 ft total to do, I would seriously consider finding a "real" edger. I found a 3.5 hp one used at a garage sale for 1/3 the price I paid for the attachment.

I was a bit skeptical as to how well this edger would perform. I own the Troy-Bilt TB90BC gas-powered (2-cycle) string trimmer, which this edger can attach to. Although the trimmer works reasonably well, I wasn't convinced the edger would have enough power to do the job.

I have now used the edger several times around walkways, the driveway, and shrubs. I am surprised how well the edger performs. It has sufficient power for most of my routine yard work. The motor did bog down through unusually thick sections of grass next to the driveway. However, I was able to raise the blade (a nice and simple-to-use feature) and take a couple of slow passes. Now that it has been cleared out, I can keep the blade lower with no problems.

For routine yard work, I recommend this purchase if you have a compatible unit. It's definitely worth the price as compared to a separate unit, and is much easier to use than the electric edger I replaced.

I found an online site to get bags at outdoordistributors.com. Better to call 1-877-70Parts and order to make sure you get the right connection shape. One bag costs $24.01. We have had 2 bags break in the past 4 years. Very poorly constructed. Both the zipper and the actual bag material have broken.

The bag on this vac is nice and large, and well designed to hold a lot of mulched leaves, but the zipper lost its hold after about 2-3 years. You can't realistically replace the zipper and even trying to close the zipper "gently" doesn't do the trick. I really liked its mulching capability - I don't understand the logic of blowing leaves around, makes much more sense to vacuum them up and get them off my property - but the bag zipper doesn't last. In desperation I duct-taped over the zipper but that only lasted about 3 uses and the tape starts to peel off, and unless you vaccum up small particles or very dry leaves that break up small, it's next to impossible to empty the bag out of the top opening. Based on the other reviews I am not going to bother hunting up a replacement bag - at first I thought I just had the bad luck to have a bag with a defective zipper but too many reviewers indicate the zipper is a design defect.

If anyone knows of another mulching vacuum please leave a review note here. My 3 stars are strictly for the mulching ability of this vac.

this machine is very easy to use and cleans up leaves quickly. after two years of occasional use, the zipper broke on the dust bag. i think the bag zipper should have lasted more than two years.
