Lawn and Garden Review You should have bought a K-Rain!
I have experienced getting soak and wet trying to set the spray pattern with this sprinkler. I gave up and purchased a K-Rain gear drive 5". They are the easiest to set on the market with no hassles and no getting wet! My suggestion is you should have bought a K-rain!

Lawn and Garden Review They last
A good sprinkler! Very reliable in the long run, and used often in my business. The thing people don't like about them is that they can't figure out how to set the darn arc. I usually just refer them to the technical service number and they are set up. If you want something that lasts, use a Rain Bird.

Lawn and Garden Review TDR a good head
The main benefit of this head is that kid's can't break it like a gear drive. The water pattern is excellent. Easy to adjust if you read the directions. I've seen the K-Rain and that's a piece of trash.

Lawn and Garden Review Poorly made to last just passed the warranty period
I purchased the RL800 in April 2003 from Amazon, hoping to get out of mowing the lawn. I ended up wasting lots of time and money on this useless device instead. My original review for the mower was actually positive. It worked well for the first summer and I didn't mow the lawn once with my push mower. I even recommended it to my coworkers. But the following spring, we got a lot of rain which caused the ground to get saturated. The robomower wheels lost traction in the wet grass and kept getting stuck in the middle of my lawn. I had to go out to push it along at least 5 or 6 times. I would have been better off taking my push mower out and mowing it myself, which is what I did until the ground dried up. Once summer came around, I brought the robomower out hoping it would perform like it did the year before. Wrong again! After less than 2 hours, the battery ran out of steam. The robomower is EXTREMELY slow so 2 hours is nowhere near enough time to completely mow my lawn. And yes I did read the manual on how to properly maintain the battery. I constantly charged it even while not in use. And during the winter if temps fell below 0 degrees, I was instructed to remove the battery and place it inside somewhere dry, which I did. Hoping to salvage use for the robomower, I purchased a second battery and the rapid external charger this year. I manually mowed my lawn with a push mower for the beginning of this year while the ground was too wet for the robomower. Then when it dried up enough, I decided to let the robomower take over. I unleash it on my lawn and 20 minutes later it stops. The robomower was beeping with the error "Check Power" message on the controller. I bring it back in and try charging it, but the error doesn't go away. I plug the power supply into another power outlet on a different circuit breaker and get same error. I put in my second battery and still same error. I end up calling tech support for assistance. Coincidentally, the 2 year warranty just ended in April so I was one month passed it. Their diagnosis was possibly a bad power supply and/or bad controller. When I asked if they could help me fix it, they told me not without getting charged even though I was only a month out of warranty. Keep in mind, I would have found out sooner about the problem if the robomower worked properly when the ground was a little wet. Thanks Friendly Robotics! So don't make the same mistake I made. Just mow your lawn yourself like I do now.

Lawn and Garden Review I love my Robomower
The Robomower is the best product I have ever used. I never mow my lawn! My Robomower's mow my lawn for me. This product works. I have an RL 1000 and and RL 800. I have used this product for 5 years. I have had zero problems with either the RL 1000 or the RL 800. I have one mower do my front lawn and the other do the back.
I strongly suggest thsi product. I live in Alabama!

Lawn and Garden Review Does exactly what I expected, and does it well
    Love it.

I bought this mower at the start of last summer, calculating that if it lasted a year and a half or more, I'd break even on what I was paying a lawn service to mow my yard.

I have an fairly uneven yard, with some steep parts. Set to the highest mow, robomower easily navigates the rough spots, and manages the slopes well. Robomower takes a lot longer to mow a lawn than it would take you to do it manually, but since you are off doing something else, and robomower can work in the dark, that doesn't matter at all.

Be prepared to experiment with the perimeter wire. I found dividing my front, side, and back yard into three zones was the best choice for me. Do the final complete pegging after you've run the mower a few times and know the wire is in the right place. If you have multiple zones and live in a part of the country where mowing days are limited by frequent rain, get an extra battery and/or the fast charger, so you can mow more than one zone per day when you get the chance.

The mowing pattern is not up and down in lines, but in angled criss-crossing, leaving lots of gaps at first, so you won't see a clean mow until it's done. But when it is, the cut is very nice: a smooth buzz cut with no lines, mulched finely leaving no clumps. My neighbor, who bought a riding mower just before he saw my robomower, agrees. After watching it all summer, he came over to say, "This thing does a really nice job. And you don't have to be outside with the mosquitos...."

So, now, when I get home from work on a dry day, I put the mower out in the next zone that needs done, and go in and let my cats out. Later in the evening, I go out and fetch the mower and let the cats in. My lawn gets regularly mowed and has never looked better.

Lawn and Garden Review Horrible Customer Support
Misunderstood directions, made mistake of putting all sides together instead of a level at a time.Cracked all sides trying to take apart. Called 800 # and asked what they could do for me and they said Buy another one, they're not responsible. Also found out the box had two right side upper levels and it will take 7 days till the left side is sent. Suncast will never get my business again and I hope my warning will discourage others from doing business with this company.

Lawn and Garden Review Needs at least 1 or 2 shelves included
This is a solid body storage building exactly as advertised. My goal was to store a mower, trimmer, blower, gas and miscellaneous items. I had to build a shelf (not included) notch it to fit and install it before putting roof in place. It works great for gas and miscellaneous items leaving room for taller items but they must be tilted some. If you have a mower with retractable handles (which I do not) it will fit in this building. (So mower is still out) Other than that it has cleared up the mess in the back and locks the flammables up too.

Be careful to read instructions because it would be very difficult to take pieces apart after clicked into place.

If you are planning to store a mower I would recomend a larger unit just for ease of use. This one is great for a lot of gardening supplies but I think they should provide at least 2 or more shelves.

Lawn and Garden Review Good inside design for maximum usage
You can put up to 6 shelves inside to fully use all the cubic space available. But you may just need 4 and leave the lower two open for big size items to be stored. Rubbermaid has a similar size shed but it can only accept three shelves and waste a lot of spaces. The Rubbermaid shed uses much fewer pieces to assembly than this one. The assmbly is pretty easy if you follow the manu but it does take some time (1-2 hours). After I finished the assembly there were some rain and the inside was try except a couple of water drops. The only concern is its sturdiness since it's assembled with 28 pieces and so far so good. I don't expect it can stand a ternado or hurricane. One thing I wan to alert you: when you buy the shelves do measure the inside and ignore the manu since if you buy the side according it yuo will find the shelves will shift too much to the left or right. You want them more stable, right?

Lawn and Garden Review Poor customer service
The low rating on this product is aimed at the customer service/warranty associated with the product group. I bought a MTD lawn tractor 5 months ago and within 31/2 months the thread on the shoulder bolt striped out resulting in the idler pulley falling out of position. I called MTD for the location of a authorized service location in my area. The automated answering machine gave me the name and number for the service dealer. I confirmed with the service provider that the defect was a warranty repair. It took a month to get the tractor fixed and when I went to pick it up I was told that it wasn't under warranty and if I wanted to pick up the tractor I would have to pay for the repairs. I reminded him that he had confirmed warranty at the time I brought it in. At that time he said it was to hard to procees the warranty. I contacted MTD and the service rep said he would contact the service provider and call me back. He never returned the call so I called again. This time a service rep told me that they didn't tell me were to take the tractor for repair and that the choice had been mine. I told him that the automated system for service had that dealer as the authorized service provider in this area. He said he didn't care what it said, that the choice was still mine for where I took it. He did say he would call them to get the other side of the complaint and call me back. I went ahead and paid the charges for the repair because by that time I needed it. I did get the nut and bolt that had been replaced and after measuring them found that both components were grossly out of industrial specifications. The thread engagement for that combination should have been about 77%, the bolt and nut used on the tractor had less than 50%. With a third less thread emgagement the bolt would stripe at a much lower torque than normal. The components used on this tractor can be manufactured cheaper and faster than standard fasteners. The service rep from MTD, surprisingly, did call back and told me that the reason the warranty was not allowed was because I hadn't supplied Proof of Purchase. I told him I had and that the date was on the receipt I received from the service provider. I informed him of measurements on the defective material and the impact on the failure mode. Some of the numbers were technical in nature so I told him he should confirm them with his engineering dept. His main concern was that I had the defective parts and he wanted to know how I got them. I told him I had just ask for them. He said he would investigate further and call me back. Guess what? No call. It's also the last MTD product I ever buy.

Lawn and Garden Review Integrity and Speed
I was reluctant at first to make this purchase over the net. I am, however, sure glad I did. The process went fast and painless. The equipment was exactly as I expected plus more. The price was much better than if I purchesed this lawn tractor locally. The speed of delivery and the friendly help of the delivery personnel was a big plus. I have already used this equipment and find it to be of good quality and ease of use.
Keep up the good work. Lastly, I've noticed a customer service availability, I don't need them, all is fine here.

Lawn and Garden Review Good...but could be a lot better
The motor/shredder unit (the heaviest part of the machine) is tongue mounted and moves considerably side-to-side as the terrain changes, causing the discharge elbow to get out of alignment with the opening in the leaf cart. This causes the connecting boot to wear out almost immediately. In addition, the tilt/dump feature is worthless since debris still has to be raked out.

This could be a great machine if the manufacturer would simply beef up the framing, tie the motor and cart to that framing, and eliminate the dumping feature. The philosophy is great, but the design is lacking...be prepared to re-build it yourself if satisfaction is the goal.

Lawn and Garden Review mow - vac
I have had really great success with the mow - n - vac. BUT, like others, I find fault with the tongue and it's tendency to tilt due to the weight. Also the boot around the discharge to the cart wore out in less than 2 years!
The molded plastic housing coming up from the impeller wore through in the 1st year!
The inboard top corner on the deck attaching box has wore through from the insde, indicating it is not thick enough.
There should be a swivel on the discharge tube, incorporated with a self unloader p/u.

Lawn and Garden Review dn't know if it works or not
I bought these things because I really hate silverfish in my apartment. Before I used them I only found silverfish in my bathroom. At first I put a big one (for large room) in the living room and one week later I found a silverfish on the wall just 1 foot distance from this repeller. After that I got two for medium room and I put one in my bedroom and one in my bathroom. Several weeks later I found one silverfish in my bedroom (near the repeller) then I thought these things might be pest attractors. So I unplugged the one in my bedroom and put it in the kitchen. But I still found silverfish in my bedroom and bathroom, and living room, but no one in the kitchen until now. Hmm, now I think these stupid things are just night lights.

Lawn and Garden Review this really works
I wont pretend that this device is more humane than posions or bug lights [though I suspect that it is, and also safer for humans]. Nonetheless, it really does work. I've installed the repeller in a small 5X6 bathroom. Recently I unplugged it by accident, and it was only the influx of bugs in the bathroom [there is an open window in there] that alerted me that the repeller had become undone. In other words, a silent, effective way to control pests.

Lawn and Garden Review A good $200.00 machine
Don't count on this machine to save you any work, it is way underpowered, the feed chute is too small and is prone to clog.

I tried it twice after reading the manual cover to cover and tried to follow the instructions to the letter. I literally spent more time clearing jams and disassembling the unit then I did shredding.

I learned that to shred pine needles, plan on about 30 minutes to shred one garbage can of needles, the feed rate is so slow I gave up.

This unit is fine for the organic homeowner who may shred some orange peels and leaves for the compost pile, but not for any serious work. I expected so much more for $729.00.

Lawn and Garden Review Excellent Product
Product Far Exceeded my expectations. It handles the jobs I need without the worry of gas and oil. I've been using it for years and it takes care of leaves, twigs and the sort with ease. Patriot is a great company and they will bend over backwards to help you out.

Lawn and Garden Review A whole lotta money for very little product
Don't let the size of the box fool you. Even though this item comes packaged in a good-sized box, this product is barely one inch by two inches. It's just a small piece of plastic with some type of pheromone embedded in it. Although it does seem to attract flies for a few days, it doesn't seem to last for very long at all. It's just a tiny piece of flimsy plastic! In my opinion, it's just not worth it.

      Lawn and Garden Review Amazing!
On my porch in my backyard, there used to be tons of annoying insects flying around, because we live very near to a pond and we have woods. Ever since I got this terrific product, I have been bug free for almost 3 months now!I can go back to having bar-b-ques again! This is the most amazing product ever created!

Lawn and Garden Review Garden Rocker
I ordered this item for my husband it came, but was missing 2 velcro straps so it does slip around unlike it's advertisement on here!!

Lawn and Garden Review Very Handy for the Active Gardener
The Garden Rocker offer much more utility than standard gardening benches because it allows you to tilt forward and side-to-side to reach things rather than forcing you to continually get up to position your bench just right. The Rocker also won't sink into soft soil as readily as wheeled benches and doesn't hurt your knees like pads do. The height of the base adjusts quickly via a bolt-and-wingnut that just requires hand tightening, so different people can share the same unit.

The addition of the cushion is invaluable since otherwise, the seat is just hard (albeit contoured) plastic. The cushion attaches to the base with a series of velcro straps, keeping the two firmly secured to each other. It features several hanging pockets on the sides for hand tools. Both the cushion and the sturdy plastic base can be easily surface-cleaned.

The Rocker is surprisingly compact compared to the photos that I'd seen and to my own expectations. This is good from a storage standpoint, but it does mean that it takes a little time (and faith) to get used to in the field, i.e. you may feel like it's going to dump you on the ground for the first few minutes of use. Once you adjust to its feel, you'll never go back to traditional gardening seats and pads again.

Lawn and Garden Review Problem With Gilmour 998FB
We have two Gilmour sprinklers, 998FB and 998ZS. Both have the same problem. They get stuck at one end of the range of coverage if water pressure is not at its peak. If you do not have consistently high pressure you might want to try another model.

Lawn and Garden Review A great sprinkler for large areas
This is the only sprinkler I have found that is adequate for my front lawn. It covers about 100 foot diameter with enough water flow so I don't have to water for hours on end.

Before purchasing this sprinkler, make sure you have a good water source and are using the proper hoses. The instructions say to use maximum hose length of 100 foot of 5/8". I am using two Apex commercial-quality 5/8" 75 foot hoses (150 foot total)with metal fittings and my pump has a feed pressure of 48 psi when running the sprinkler. Works great! If you have low water pressure or inadequate hose then buy a lower-capacity sprinkler.
