Lawn and Garden Review Great little trimmer
This trimmer is a little heavy for a woman, but exactly what I expected and you can't beat the price. Works great.

Lawn and Garden Review Toro cordless trimmer
I would recommend this trimmer. My only basis for comparison is the Toro cordless with a 6 volt battery I used for probably 8 years with no problem until the battery died. I like this one much better. It has a 12 volt battery, so it cuts much easier and faster. It is heavier because of the bigger battery, but still light enough for me, a small 51 year old woman. I like the way you can make the edges look like you used an edger. I was unable to control an edger or gas powered trimmer due to the weight.

Lawn and Garden Review A Cut Above
This cordless trimmer is by far one of the best that I have owned. It's 12 volt battery is more than powerful enough for most household jobs. Who need a gas model when this Toro works just as well.

Lawn and Garden Review Does Nothing Against Insects
After purchasing this to help battle a cockroach infestation, I learned that insects do not "hear" the ultrasonic frequency emitted by this device. Nevertheless, I plugged in two in my kitchen and my roach problem was not helped. I understand that it may help with rodents, however.

This little device is a complete hoax for insect problems.

Lawn and Garden Review I bought this pest contro back in 1997
This device is very good, I didn't had roaches, spiders in my apartment since 1997. However, after the black out on 2003 in new york city, my 2 pest contro devices stopped working appropiately. Therefore I am forced to buy 2 new pest contro's.

After reading previous comments about the products, I guess it depends where you live. I happen to live in a 30 floor building and it works fine for me, the only problem I had was after the blackout and the devices started making a twitching sound. Probably due to the power failure, the pest contros were no longer in use. From that point my kitchen has small roaches and about 3 adult roaches by my kitchen table. I bought a newer version called "pest patrol" after the black out and that one didn't do a thing.

I`ll take a shot with the original pest contro, and I rather use this product than the newer ones that seem to have dissapointed a lot of consumers here at amazon.

Lawn and Garden Review PestContro Delivers
I bought this product from a TV infomercial five years ago during the summer. Because we did have a recurring problem with various pests and we didn't want to deal with the expense of a monthly pest control company fee, I decided to take a chance on what was considered pretty radical technology then-using ultrasonic and magnetic sound to drive away pests in your home. Plus I liked the idea of not using toxic fumes. I got the product, actually read the instructions, and plugged it in using an extension cord (doesn't slow down it's effectiveness) so I could position it correctly under our dining table with an unobstructed view. The rest of that year, I saw some improvement, but not a lot-it slowed down the march of spiders coming in from the fall rains, and kept most of the mice from coming in to watch TV in the winter (we live near a wooded area, so pests are unavoidable), but there was nothing to get really excited about. The next spring brought some surprises though...the mean green flying machine did not take over our home as usual. By that I mean the flies, bees, mosquitos, gnats, etc. They would come in, and after awhile, you could actually see them frantically trying to get back out...if they didn't, you'd find them RIP'd on your windowsill the next time you dusted. The next thing we noticed that our dog stopped having problems with fleas-to the point that we were able to stop buying extra flea control for him. He's not stupid either-whenever our poodle has had a visit with another unprotected dog, he would come in and lie down right in the line of sight of PestContro :) That summer marked a real slowdown in spider population, and we only got one rodent visitor that winter. Since then, except for an occasional dusting of its casing, I haven't touched or moved our PestContro from under the dining table. Also, our lives have been pretty much pestfree. No, we are not totally 'free' of pests, but I didn't expect PestContro to do that-I just wanted to slow down the 'colony' and to keep them from taking up residence-In my opinion, PestContro delivered on that promise.

Lawn and Garden Review Tuly problematic
Comments from other reviewers re the locking mechanism are unfortunately on target. The slipping defeats efforts to apply the necessary force to a saw cut -- and even trying to tighten down with big pliers (why should we have to??) will not solve the problem. Sadly, the bad news does not end there. The lopper mechanism employs a bicycle-style chain at the businss end, which would at first glance seem to be a fine idea (robust strength, and no rope chafe to be concerned about). BUT, inexcusably poor engineering of the guides through which the chain runs means that the chain itself can all too easily twist, bind, kink, and jam under load. So the pruning session comes to a complete halt, and we have to make a trip back to the barn for dismantling and clearing of the mechanism, on the workbench. This is designer error, not operator error. After having the same thing happen three and four times a day in regular use, we replaced the chain with spectra line, and thus solved the problem. Buyer beware, and what a shame that there are few other choices in the current marketplace. This could and should be a much better product.

Lawn and Garden Review locking mechanism sticks
The lopping and sawing work fine, but the plastic extension lock is stuck so I can't loosen it. In spite of that, the extension mechism slips when I put strong sawing pressure on it. This is a very back feature on an otherwise well-engineered product.

I certainly would not buy this pruner if I had it to do over again.

Lawn and Garden Review No need to call professional tree service
I was hesitating to make the purchase due to the price and review comments, but I have purchased Corona Clipper products in the past, so decided to see it for myself.

The lopper works great on branhces with reasonable diameter. The chain runs smoothly. The Razor Tooth Saw blade is sweet. I use this feature more than the lopper.

On tougher cut, the extension rod SLIPS OUT. I tighten up the lock some more by hand. It works great after that. But then, the lock is too tight to loosen up. I find a strap wrench is pretty handy. You can get this at Home Depot in the Plumming section. Since it wraps around the lock evenly with a nylon strap, it should not break the plastic lock. Remember to apply the force slowly.

Too bad other people had bad experiences with this tool. I hope you give it a shot and see it for yourself.

Lawn and Garden Review Can't start the damn thing
This unit does trim fabulously-great for weeds but it is impossible to start, or at least for a woman. Also, what the other writers say is true: the front part doesn't stay put and then when it reaches resistance it pivots and shaves the soil. Doesn't lock into place. I've spoken to the company and they are being nice but I doubt I'd resolve it. Buy an electric start and another brand you can try out first in a store.

Lawn and Garden Review Swisher ST65022DXQ TRIM MAX Trimmer Mower
Was very satisfied with the quick arrival of the trimmer mower. Still learining about the machine but have put it to a tough test with excellent results to date.

Lawn and Garden Review Yes, it will chop just about anything.....
I have used this trimmer for the past three months to control the weeds around small trees. It will cut through just about anything (including trees!) without bogging down. The line will last quite a while as long as you are chopping weeds and not rocks, barbed wire, or anything metal. Overall a very good product. I have not ever used the tilt head. The only drawbacks are the flimsy wheels (replace with metal rimmed wheels) and the tendency to get too close to something important! The brace holding the guard did break off but a quick weld fixed the problem. My machine has been run for about 120 hours with no problems under some severe conditions (heat, dust, large amounts of vegetation, etc). I would purchase this item again but I may look at the Trail Cutter for my application in the future.

Lawn and Garden Review Don,t get it....
This hose has very low volume and tangles horribly. I'm sending mine back.

Lawn and Garden Review Does what it is supposed to
Hose gives decent pressure for watering plants and coils back for storage nicely.
The hose burst in two a little over a year after it went into use. Plastair customer support was quick to reply to my warranty inquiry and told me to contact Amazon for a replacement. The Amazon representative sent out a new hose (although she said it was not std. policy to do so).

Lawn and Garden Review Good product, better Customer Service!
We had no problems with the hose becoming tangled. The pressure was OK for our needs. However, when we detected a few leaks from pin-size holes, we were concerned. We shouldn't have been. The Customer Service people at Plastair were quick to respond to my email and not only sent us a replacement hose but threw in a new nozzle for the inconvenience! Good job Sarah and Tom.

Lawn and Garden Review What the heck!?
I put this together with ease and felt really confident until I got it outside in the driveway. It will NOT move forward without catching and stopping. What gives? It picked up nothing! If I had paid full price for this I would be livid. A broom and dustpan will do fine thank you very much! At least I won't fly over the "comfort bar" and break my neck!

Lawn and Garden Review JUNK! Waste of $20
I would rather clean my garage or driveway with a sheet of plywood than this thing. It stops dead in its tracks on a dime for no reason (well poor design), and it leaves a thin line of debris right in the middle where the brushes rotate. You thought the line a dust pan leaves behind is bad, this is a never ending thick line of debris.
I bought this for $20 (with free shipping) and now am giving it away for free on my local craigslist.org to someone else who wants a headache. I would not buy this thing for $1 if it was offered to me.
Save your money, a $5 brrom from Biglots will get the job done better and quicker.

Lawn and Garden Review What a Deal=What's not to Luv with this sweeper?
YOU Gotta' be kidding-$20 bucks DELIVERED to my front door? GREAT machine, I'm pushing 60 years old, and I just LOVE pushing my sweeper. Not a perfect invention, but it comes REAL close. They even included a pair of BRAND NEW replacement brushes !!!!!!! Are they the BEST, or what ??? ALSO, I tried a ridiculous stunt with it. I had a large metal spoon that was crushed by a car on my drive, and this machine grabbed it and ate it on ONLY the second try !!! What's NOT to LOVE. Buy it, and you'll dump ALL your other brooms, I promise.

Lawn and Garden Review nelson 5200
Biggest piece of junk I've bought in a long time. Got tired ofbuying [cheaper units made in China], that lasted for about 2 months before they started to leak. The Nelson 5200 at twice the price lasted 2 days before it flooded my porch. Guess i'll have to spend more.

Lawn and Garden Review Get a time based timer.
This product does not work well with variable water flows. Under
low pressure it tends to not turn off. It is just not reliable enough to count on, and if you have to go out and check to see if it worked, what is the point? I think you will be better off with a timer that works with a spring, like an egg timer rather than one that works via water flow.

Lawn and Garden Review It's great - especially for the money
OK, this is a fairly inexpensive alternative to an electric shut off meter. And I'm not sure how many seasons you'll get out of it. However, I disagree with those who knock it because the time varies with water pressure. Actually, one could argue that this is a plus. When the water pressure goes down, wouldn't you want a meter that extends the watering time a bit? The goal, after all, is to get a certain amount of water on your yard, not necessarily to water for a specified time.

Here's what to do. Under ideal pressure conditions (without running the washer, dishwasher, shower, etc.), see how long it takes to get 1/2 inch or 1 inch or whatever of water on your grass. When you've reached that amount, see how much time has passed on the timer. Set it for this amount each time. As long as the pressure doesn't dip so much that it fails to turn off (I've not experienced this), you'll be fine. If the pressure goes down and it runs a bit longer, that's a good thing!

Lawn and Garden Review mice build resistance
This product I thought was a godsend. However, the mice built up a resistance, it seems, to the sound emmitted. You are able to hear the noise and although it's easy to ignore, it's easy to hear at night.

Lawn and Garden Review squirrels, bugs, mice. . .you name it!
This has been the most effective and easiest method of pest control I've ever used. Just recently, my husband and I got one for his mother, who was having trouble with squirrels getting inside the kitchen ceiling. As soon as she plugged it in, the squirrels disappeared. It's been over a month now, and she hasn't detected any squirrel activity.

Really, if you feel poison is inhumane, or hate using traps, this is your best bet--a definite godsend for the critter-squeamish!

Lawn and Garden Review Annoying clicking noise
I bought the Weitech 1500 Pest Repeller hoping to get rid of a pesky mouse but 3 weeks later, it's still running around!

The worse part of the product is the irritating clicking noise it makes, just imagine hearing your alarm clock all day, just not as loud. It's driving me crazy! I don't know what's worse the steady annoying clicking noise or knowing that the mouse is still here. I'm still hoping that it'll work because i can't imagine actually killing the mouse and trying to throw it out.

Lawn and Garden Review I Like It
I bought these for my basement and a porch that was closed in many many years ago. My main purpose was for repelling mice. So far so good! My only dislike about the product is, it has 2 settings one for creepy insects and bugs, while the other is for long tailed four legged critters. It would be nice if one setting would work for all. As for the noise, you do have the option of silent or audible. I prefer the audible. If it annoys me then I know it's annoying the mice too! Thus far it has done a good job of keeping them out.

Lawn and Garden Review This really does work!
We were having a problem with brown recluse spiders in our home. This pest controller eliminated most of them. When one first uses it, it will actually make pests more active because it disrupts their normal cycles. After about 4-6 weeks, the number of pests one sees will be greatly reduced. Sound frequencies don't travel through walls, so this unit should be placed in a more open area. Smaller units are available for smaller places. We have this unit and 2 of the 1000 square feet units. I'm buying one more for our garage--that's how satisfied we are with the product.

Lawn and Garden Review Major disappointment
I have had six of these units in a very small house for over a year. The mice are merrily chewing their way up through the floor from under the house trying to get INTO the house. I have suffered more rodent damage AFTER buying these units than before I had them. I have rotated them as suggested by Weitech. I keep hoping that I will not have to resort to poison. I still have to buy roach bait for the huge water roaches. So, this product doesn't even work on bugs. The units came in a package of three. One unit in each pack has a nightlight. That is the most useful part of these devices. A mouse just skittered across the floor--in broad daylight. This room is 8 X 8 and has a Weitech unit plugged in as I write this. Shame on you Weitech!

Lawn and Garden Review Didn??t work at all!
I bought 2 units of this Mouse Repeller, but it didn't make any difference at all.
We still had a lot of activity going on. The best thing is to use all conventional means available to get them out of your house.

Lawn and Garden Review Still have mice
I have a river and wooded area behind my house so I anticipated having mice and other pests once the Winter rolled around. I purchased these a few months after I moved in (before ever seeing a mouse) with the intention to avoid ever having them. At the time, I did have a large amount of spiders in the house. I noticed a large reduction in the amount of spiders once I plugged these in. I am an animal activist, so I certainly did not want to resort to traps or poison. Each year, even after plugging these in, I have one to two mice in my place. It's hard to say if I would have more mice without these devices, so I could not rate it lower than 3 stars. I can say that it is much better than a similar device by a different company that I used which makes horrible clicks and had spiders hanging from it. I can also say that I have never seen a mouse beyond the points where I have these plugged in. I have only seen them in one room and even though there is a device in that room, it is far from where I have seen mice. That could be a possitive factor for this product. I do encourage the use of these products so that cruelity and chemicals do not have to play a role in your lives, but they are not 100% perfect. Perhaps if you have one in every room, the chances of having mice could be very slim.
