Lawn and Garden Review If you've got a file and some boy scout skills use those.
I got one of these with my dremel tool. It works, but I really think a dremel tool is underpowered for sharpening applications. I spent some time trying to sharpen my shovel with it and finally gave up and grabbed a file and had it finished and a second shovel in less time and with far less noise. Let's face it, neither shovel or lawnmower blades need to be as accurately sharpened as a knife and a file will work handily, cost the same and last longer.

Lawn and Garden Review An A+ for effort, an F for functionality
I got this with my Dremel XPR and I was actually looking forward to trying it out, as we have an old hatchet that despretly needs sharpening. I put it on and I went to get the hatchet, and the little slot that the blade goes in was just a little bit too thin. So I finally got it in and I turn on the tool and in a shower of sparks it starts working, but I couldn't get it to move, so now I had a gigantic dent in it, I eventually got the hatchet sharpened without the attachment. and much better, too. I haven't tried it on the lawn mower yet, though. But it doesn't work well on anything besides shovels for me.

Lawn and Garden Review Good for midseason sharpening
The Dremel lawnmower blade sharpener works pretty good. But only as a midseason blade sharpener. Be careful sparks fly all over the place with this tool. If your blades are really dull take them to the pros but at midseason this tool will help put the edge back on a mild dull blade. Buy extra 932 grinding stones because you'll go thu them quick.

Lawn and Garden Review Never Buy This One ...
This is one of my worst purchase @ AMAZON since last 4 years or so. The product pratically does not work ... drains only electricity.

Lawn and Garden Review A good power consumption device, but nothing more
I tried this device in my garage to keep out insects and spiders. After several months, there is no detectable difference except for a slightly larger utility bill.

I think the spiders are better at keeping out the insects.

I definitely feel like a sucker for buying this.

Lawn and Garden Review A disappointment
My wife is DEATHLY afraid of mice so that was our primary intention of this product. We plugged it in, but the mice still seemed to stick around. We killed a spider right by the device! Our house is small so it should have been able to handle it. I tried all the settings I could think of. Also tried it in different plugs. Hopefully you'll have better luck.

Lawn and Garden Review Don't Waste Your Cash
I bought both this as well as a Lentek model. I figured I'd test which was better. Neither work. The gophers ate two 4 foot high hollyhocks less than 18 inches away from the noisemakers. I'd say that pretty much says it all. I'm looking into castor oil and castor seeds now. If those don't woerk, it's back to poison.

Lawn and Garden Review worthless noisemaker
This doesnt work. We had it for 2 weeks and the mole still came back. It also makes a VERY irritating noise. I would never recommend this to anyone. Worthless noisemaker!

Lawn and Garden Review We're happy with it!
I bought one of these last summer. Since then, we've been moving it around the yard to keep the moles/ground squirrels out of those areas. They do move away from the product, but move back when we move it to another place in the yard :(

The reason we love it now, though, is that it is keeping the RABBITS out of our garden! We used to have three cats that did the garden patrol to keep the rabbits away, but unfortunately, we lost two of them over the winter. In the spring, when I planted my broccoli plants in the far corner of my garden, the rabbits started to eat it, killing about 3 plants and severely 'pruning' about 10 more. I tried putting the mole repeller in that patch, and it has worked like magic! The rabbits are living up to their reputation of being afraid.

In addition, we haven't changed the batteries in the repeller yet! We took them out for the winter, but our Duracells are still going strong!

I don't think I'd be enjoying my great broccoli crop without this product, so I'm one satisfied customer!

Lawn and Garden Review Not a good choice
We're very disappointed with this purchase. The fixture is not water-tight. After rain the glass lantern fills with water and when the light comes on the bulb burns out. The bulbs don't last very long and between the water and normal replacement we are constantly replacing bulbs. AFter a 2 week vacation we return to find 1/2 of the lights are out. Also, a lawn mower bump broke the swtem easily on one light. I think I could have found better quality for a lot less.

Lawn and Garden Review Design error
I have a similar experience with the same fixture but different finish. What actually seems to happen is that the water trickles through the wire connection in the top and drips on the bulb. I have four fixtures and I'm usually replacing a bulb every couple weeks.

Lawn and Garden Review Garbage
This is a piece of garbage, moths and other insects just walk right across the grid with no effect on them at all.

Lawn and Garden Review Black & Decker? Whatever!
First, I want to say that nowhere on the box, bugzapper, instructions, or packing it say Black and Decker. I could not even find this on Black and Deckers website. But beyond that, this could have been made a lot better.

First, the openings for the bugs are very small. I was as if they made this unit to be hung in a kids room. It produces almost no light for the bugs to "see."

Second, there is alost no way to clean the bugs off of the electric wires. The instructions say to use a blow dryer to blow them off, but it is like using a blow dryer to remove bugs from the front of your car.

Third, there is no on/off switch. When it is plugged in, it is on. Something this simple on the power cord would have been nice.

The unit kills the bus that get near it, but it does not "attract" bugs from my backyard like it should. Almost any other light source is brighter, so the bugs are attracted to them (the patio light, for example) rather than the bug zapper. I would recommend a different zapper.

Lawn and Garden Review Not so bad
I have bought a pair, and they work well.It only happens to be a little difficult to clean.

Lawn and Garden Review The other (bad) reviews are correct
It does not work!

During the first summer of use it barely caught any mosquitos (if you count 15-20. I would expect a shopvac to do as well.) and there was no difference in the level of mosquitos in the yard.

The next year it would not light so the propane was useless. It cannot be repaired and customer service is a joke. I regret ever purchasing the product, especially considering how much I spent on it. I feel like a real sucker.

You might as well give your money away to charity, it will do more good.

Lawn and Garden Review DO NOT BUY!!!
First of all, this model was discontinued. I bought one for $169.99 a couple years ago. The thermal couple burns out in a year and you can't get a replacement because they don't make the part any more and it's design is proprietary. You have to get a generic one and "customize" it to work. Do not expect ANY customer service. They're rude and not helpful at all and once you've bought their product they could careless about you. As far as function goes, it doesn't really do that well on it's own. It'll catch a few mosquitos here and there. The problem is it doesn't use octenol which is a chemical attractant. I bought an octenol cartridge for another machine and modified this one to use it and it works great. Definately not worth the hassle. Look for another machine that uses propane and octenol. They're out there for less than this one and you'll be much happier.

Lawn and Garden Review Excellent Pest Eliminator For Your Yard
I bought this earlier model Lentek Mosquito trap for my Mother's yard several years ago. She lives in a wooded area and the insects are very bad. She has mosquitos, biting flies, knats, you name it she has it. She enjoys working with flower beds and sitting outside on her porch swing, but the insects were so bad that she could not do this very much. After I set up the Mosquito trap, the insect population was halved in a few short weeks and almost totally eliminated within 8 weeks. When we have family gatherings, we can all actually enjoy the outdoors now.
The previous reviews did touch on a valid point considering the customer support dept. If you call, get ready to not be helped very much. They will sell you a replacement part or another trap, but that's about it. I would advise you to email the customer support dept. They have friendly and helpful people here and they will get back to you quickly. Notice I did not give this trap 5 stars? Well, their is a reason. The regulator on the propane gas hose went out after one season and I had to replace it. This trap is very heavy compared to the newer models because of the solid steel construction. You also have to light the pilot flame with a match. The newer models have a gas grill like igniter button. This trap is also kinda loud because of the large vacuum fan. It will suck in all kinda bugs though. If you want a lighter and more quiet trap for your yard, I would recommend the Lentek MK12 model. I just set one up for my sister and she loves it.

Lawn and Garden Review A Waste of Effort
I have both this as well as a Weitech model. The gophers don't even seem to notice the noise, regardless of frequency setting. They are continuing to eat plants less than 1 foot away from the noisemakers.

Lawn and Garden Review poor construction
Regarding the other buyer's review of the construction issue, the tip on both units I ordered incurred the same problem, thus the watertight "seal" becomes faulty and water enters the unit. One of the units corroded from the water and stopped working within 2 weeks of installation. I now have gopher activity within 100sf of the working unit (installed 5 weeks), and in solid clay soil, which is supposedly the best soil for operation. So far, not so good.

Lawn and Garden Review Wonder worker!!
I was skeptical of this until I tried it. We had a regular mole interstate in our front yard. I planted this in the center of the yard and the moles have gone elsewhere. I've order two more to increase the coverage... but it does work wonders!!

The only drawback in the design is the way the tip is secured. I pulled the stake out of the ground and the tip was left behind; in order to extract the tip, I had to dig it out (which was a messy proposition... at best).

Lawn and Garden Review A Piece of Junk
Spend more money and get a better model. It's a cheap piece of plastic. The spray nozzle doesn't adjust. The blue o ring comes off, I could keep going with all it's faults.

Lawn and Garden Review Good for occasional spraying only
This sprayer offers good features for an economy model. It requires no tools to assemble or clean, you can see through the tank to check the liquid level, and the on/off is a simple trigger to push. You can adjust the type of spray at the tip of the wand by turning the nozzle.

It has an easy fill spout, and comes with detailed instructions and a one year warranty. There is a spare parts kit available for this sprayer.

Unfortunately, it's not designed for heavy duty or continuous use, and after a while, the plastic trigger breaks off, and usually gets lost by the time you realise it's gone. There is no replacement trigger unit, so you have to buy a whole wand, which can cost as much as a new sprayer. It sometimes loses compression, requiring minor repairs, and can be quite cumbersome to carry when filled.

A useful sprayer for the occasional gardener (once a month use), but of you intend to use it a lot, buy a more expensive model, such as the Hudson Perfection, Bugwiser or Suprema back pack sprayer.

Lawn and Garden Review Well built, but very hard to use...
I found the 8P Hand Push Aerator to be well built and it was exactly as described in the Amazon listing. The major problem was that it was too hard to operate. It might have just been my hard compacted soil, but I had a very hard time just pushing the aerator across my lawn. I could not see myself doing this very often, so I ended up returning it.

works ok, but the chicken dripping caught fire on the bottom and I had a big grease fire. The smoke affected the chicken and caused the taste to be so so. I am not real thrilled about this product.
