Lawn and Garden Review Just junk
Did not even last one year. In a steady wind, the blades snapped off like something out of some horror movie. Very poorly manufactured. The holes did not line up and nothing was very secure. Even the screws are poor quality - heads stripped.

After all the blades snapped off, I now use it to train my cucumber plants...which earns it one star.

Save your money.

Lawn and Garden Review Very poor construction
This windmill was very poorly engineered. The bearing and blades did not stand up to even a 10 mph steady wind.

Lawn and Garden Review Poorly Constructed
I agree with the first reviewerw completely, as I had the same experience. After our first big wind, the blades came apart and the wole fan mechanism fell off and could not be reattached. Very poorly built -won't hold up. A complete waste of my money and I aso won't purchase another product from this company. I will be getting another one of these somewhere elese.

I've had this bug killer for two months, and it broke. The lights inside the trap no longer work ... after two months. The amazing fact is that it was only used intermittently during those two months. (...). I would NOT recommend that you buy this product or any Lentek product for that matter.

Tried to return it to Amazon, but they would not accept it for a refund/exchange ... terrible limited-time period return policy. Awful!! Returned for credit, and bought a bug 'zapper'. I used only 1 night, and the Lentek killed 5 mosquitos!

Lawn and Garden Review sound generators against rodents
I am surprised that Amazon permits the sale of this equipment. Many scientific evaluations have shown that the sound generators have no effects what so ever against rodents-or for that matter against mosquitoes.

Lawn and Garden Review Not worth the money - even on sale!
I bought this, because we'd started having a real mouse problem in our home. I plugged it in, and I waited for the recommended 6 to 9 days. After 3 weeks, we set mouse traps in front of it and were catching mice daily. This didn't deter them at all.

I actually came into the kitchen one evening to turn off a light that had been left on and saw a mouse sitting in front of the unit eating some crumb my daughter had dropped.

The unit may have been defective (no way of checking), but I wouldn't have another one.

I placed this thing in my small bedroom, and it's not even 200 sq. ft. and guess what, I always see roaches coming out from my AC duct, and even clawing over my bed, and many times too. It freaks me out! I don't believe any of this thing anymore! Roaches are so hard to get rid of! I hate it!

Lawn and Garden Review dissapointing!!
We bought this attachment for our lawn tractor. After the 3 hour installation complete with missing bolts, we attempted to plow our driveway in the first major snow storm of the year. Well, just like the review above...we should have bought a snow blower! The tractor is just not powerful enough to push all the snow. The tires, even with the wheel weights and snow chains kept on slipping & sliding. We ended up having a brick wall of packed snow at the end of our driveway, that we had to shovel anyway. We will be returning this and sticking to lawn mowing with our tractor! Dissapointing!!

Lawn and Garden Review Snowed in
I was very disappointed in this item. After looking at my local Lowe's for this item (they didn't have it though they would gladly order me one for over $500!!!) No thanks, I could get a two-stage snowblower for that. Anyway, my dozer blade arrived via Fedex 3 weeks after I ordered it. The day it arrived, we received 8 inches of snow. I was anxious to install and get busy clearing the driveway. The box arrived in decent shape. I opened the box and did a quick inventory of the parts before getting to work. I was very disappointed to find that most of the hardware was missing. I had to drive back to Lowe's in the snow and spend about $11 buying hardware so I could install the blade. Then, I found out that the seller packed two right-side frame brackets. I needed a left-side bracket and a right-side bracket. I figured out a workaround. Later, I found another poor design issue that I couldn't overcome with a workaround. I will be calling the manufacturer's customer support line tomorrow because I was unable to use the blade tonight on my driveway. In hindsight, I should have bought a snow blower.

Lawn and Garden Review BIG WASTE OF MONEY!!!!!!!
This is the worst product I have purchased. I put it up for the first time and within hours the aluminium frame was in pieces. It is so flimsy! I expected more durability for a product meant to be for the outdoors! For the amount of money I paid it is a rip off. I could not even return it because all the parts were broken and the frame could not collapse or fold. What a mess.....Never buy this!!!!!

Lawn and Garden Review May be a nice hose, but you can't get it!!!
I ordered this hose back in May. It said the same thing then - it will be in stock soon! I finally cancelled the order in August when I got tired of having the order postponed constantly, and went back to using the portable gas cylinders. I just gave away my 20# tank filled with gas that I had standing by waiting!!

Lawn and Garden Review yummy hose
Beware this propane hose is not chew resistant. After noticing the smell of leaking propane we discovered that this hose had a hole chewed in it. We turned off the gas and left the hose on the unit until we were ready to go searching for a replacement. When we returned to remove it we discovered that the creature returned and the hose had been chewed to shreds! We have found that this configuration of valves is uncommon and is not carried in any local stores. I had ordered it with the Mosquito Trap assuming that it would last a considerable period of time. Now we find we cannot find a replacement hose that is not chew resistant and for that reason renders the trap unusable.

Lawn and Garden Review Doesn't work
I had a different pest repeller for four years and when I had that one I never saw a bug or mouse. I thought this one would be better because it was more expensive and you can select which pest that it works for. Well since I have had it I saw a roach a few feet away from the unit. I just had to get rid of a bee that was in the same room. We even had a bird that was standing on the porch screen not to far from the unit. I wish that I had bought a different brand.

Lawn and Garden Review Does not work for spiders!
I bought this product mainly for the spider problem we have in our garage. I followed the directions for effective use and I haven't seen any decrease in spider activity. In fact I think there's more now. Can't say if it works for mice or larger animals but I would guess that it's more effective on them.

Lawn and Garden Review Glad we still have the receipt
We bought one of these to curb the barking of our 45 pound Pharaoh Hound. It works on the barking. Unfortunately, it also goes off when he's playing, etc. Now, he won't even touch some of his favorite toys. We need to stop the barking, but not at the expense of destroying our dog's personality. So, this item is going back.

Lawn and Garden Review Stay away from this collar.... worst investment
I would like to warn those who would like to buy this collar. I bought the collar brand new, and was warned by others about the longevity of the battery. I wanted to prove the reviewers wrong.. but guess what, I was the one who came out as a loser. I lost over $40 dollars on this collar. THE REASON: The battery didn't even last for 2 days. The battery went dead the following day. The battery is exclusively made by Petsafe, so you will have to buy the battery at the store, well I am not going to bother to buy another battery which will just last for a day, and costs $10 each. I now understand why others who have bought this same collar have bought 10 batteries along with the purchase of it. I feel so cheated and disappointed by this product. I hope Petsafe will make changes quick to this collar. I'd hate to say it but its basically a r i p off.

Lawn and Garden Review Avoid the collar and the company
"PetSafe" goes out of its way to avoid calling this collar what it is: a painful shock-delivery system. Words like "static correction" and "tingle" are carefully chosen to give the impression that something other than outright electrical shock is involved. I tested the contacts on my own skin before putting it on my dog and leapt away in astonishment at the level of the shock delivered by the electrodes.

The company failed to respond to two email requests for product return information. When at last we contacted them by phone, my wife was rudely informed that no return would be considered for an opened product.

Unless you are interested in torturing your pet and supporting an unethical company, I recommend looking elsewhere for bark-correction solutions.

Lawn and Garden Review Song of the Sirens
Well I must say that I was lured to the thought of a mower cutting the grass while I was doing other things. You can say I was like a Greek sailor and the Robomower was the Sirens. Anyone who knows Greek mythology knows that the Sirens lead Greek ships into the rocks and sent the sailors to their death. Tis the story with the Robomower.

For the high price of this mower I expected it to last more than 3 years without a major repair. My blade motor went out just after three summers of use. Since I live in Michigan my mowing season is quite short. Of course the mower is out of warranty. The cost of shipping for the repair and the repair itself is not a cost effective choice. I could purchase a low-end gas mower for the same amount.

Seems to me the technology has a little ways to go yet. I wish you luck if you choose to purchase the Robomower. For me I am going to wait until they are better built. My recommendation is you do the same.

Lawn and Garden Review Poorly made to last just passed the warranty period
I purchased the RL800 in April 2003 from Amazon, hoping to get out of mowing the lawn. I ended up wasting lots of time and money on this useless device instead. My original review for the mower was actually positive. It worked well for the first summer and I didn't mow the lawn once with my push mower. I even recommended it to my coworkers. But the following spring, we got a lot of rain which caused the ground to get saturated. The robomower wheels lost traction in the wet grass and kept getting stuck in the middle of my lawn. I had to go out to push it along at least 5 or 6 times. I would have been better off taking my push mower out and mowing it myself, which is what I did until the ground dried up. Once summer came around, I brought the robomower out hoping it would perform like it did the year before. Wrong again! After less than 2 hours, the battery ran out of steam. The robomower is EXTREMELY slow so 2 hours is nowhere near enough time to completely mow my lawn. And yes I did read the manual on how to properly maintain the battery. I constantly charged it even while not in use. And during the winter if temps fell below 0 degrees, I was instructed to remove the battery and place it inside somewhere dry, which I did. Hoping to salvage use for the robomower, I purchased a second battery and the rapid external charger this year. I manually mowed my lawn with a push mower for the beginning of this year while the ground was too wet for the robomower. Then when it dried up enough, I decided to let the robomower take over. I unleash it on my lawn and 20 minutes later it stops. The robomower was beeping with the error "Check Power" message on the controller. I bring it back in and try charging it, but the error doesn't go away. I plug the power supply into another power outlet on a different circuit breaker and get same error. I put in my second battery and still same error. I end up calling tech support for assistance. Coincidentally, the 2 year warranty just ended in April so I was one month passed it. Their diagnosis was possibly a bad power supply and/or bad controller. When I asked if they could help me fix it, they told me not without getting charged even though I was only a month out of warranty. Keep in mind, I would have found out sooner about the problem if the robomower worked properly when the ground was a little wet. Thanks Friendly Robotics! So don't make the same mistake I made. Just mow your lawn yourself like I do now.

Lawn and Garden Review Junked in three uses
I got to use my trimmer a liitle longer than the previous reviewer. By my third use, the eye that holds the cord broke so that I had to stop the trimmer, unplug it and manually pull out the cord. This was annoying, but at least I could still use it. Finally the cord got stuck in the reel and I could not get the reel out to advance it. Sometime during those three days one of the brackets holding the guard piece over the whipping cord broke off too. This trimmer is on it's way to the land fill along with the 15 year old trimmer that it was replacing.

Lawn and Garden Review You get what you pay for.
Well, I bought and used one of these, for about 10 minutes.

Here's what happened during those 10 minutes:

1)Vibration caused the clips that hold the plastic guard to the rest of the trimmer cracked and fell off.

2)Upon the very first "tap" to advance the string, the metal guide that feeds the string from the reel fell out and flew off never to be seen again.

3)By the third or fourth "tap", the main shaft developed a crack, and the vibrations from the motor ultimately caused the entire thing to break in half, rendering it useless.

I know it sounds hard to believe, but this is the absolute truth. I bought this thing to replace an old trimmer that lasted me around 12 years. Lesson learned.
