I live in a rental home where the bathroom baseboard paint was about 30 layers deep and about 15 years old (I say was, because after my Rotozip experience, its allll gone).

We tried several things to remove the paint with little or no luck. A friend of mine recently purchased a Rotozip tool kit, so off to his house I went.

I selected the 120 grit disk because of the rougher look and feel of the disk. When I started sanding the old, thick, globby, runny paint the Rotozip disk was like a wild animal, devouring the paint down to the bare wood.

Fast, controllable and efficient...... Just add a Rotozip kit to my Christmas wishlist Ma.

Then I started to look at the spots where the Landlord had done a poor job with the Drywall mud, a little zip here and a zip there, smooth and ready for paint. If a 120 grit pad works this well, I cant wait to try the rest.

I reccomend this product to all.

you might asay it is a ultimate accesory set. It is great for people with a roto zip.

Rubies are the smoothest bits i believe that are out for shaping. Unless i need heavy stock removal, Rubies are it. I start with Medium grit for removal, fine for contoring, than stone for the final appearance. The Football shape is one of the most used burrs, a must have.

Great compressor. Don't use the gun that much. I could't buy the compressor alone. I had the 1 gal 1/2 horse model from senco but the tank sprung an air leak just after the 30 day warranty ran out. It has a 5 star rating for now but I haven't had this one a month yet. Better last longer thats all I can say.

the batteries and the2867 drills are good working tools i own 2 of these drills and 4 of the skil 180bat 18v . But the chargers are not good at all. my 2 chargers only lasted 6 months. i exspect more than that from a $50.00 toolw/batteries costing over $40.00 each. i have been serching for a new charger for 2months now with no luck. the drills have good tourque and the batteries last a good length between charges. but the problem with chargers and access to buy replacements makes this almost a useless tool

This product work great on my new mable floor, I needed it for to clean up the grout haze that the lousy tile installer did not clean up good after he grout the floor, since its mable there is not much other product that will clean haze up without damage the surface of the mable. This coating stripper was easy to use just follow the instruction, now my mable looks great!!!

I bought my Tormek Supergrind and did not think that the video would be worth spending the extra money on. Even though the Tormek manual is written very well, there were some details that I was not certain of.

A friend of mine who also bought the Tormek Supergrind commented on how much the video helped him with the use of the tool. After viewing it at his house, I decided I needed my own.

The details and close-ups in the video show, without confusion, the proper use of the tool with many of the various jigs and accessories.

With the Tormek Supergrind and this video, even an amateur will produce finely honed cutting edges on kitchen knives, planer and jointer knives, turning chisels, chopping axes and many other household and workshop cutting edges.

I purchased my first 96" Vega Duplicator in 1997 for spindle work, followed by a smaller 16" version for doing just face plate turnings. I was building lamps for a hotel at the time, my first "job" as a (he he) professional wood turner. I'm really only an "out of control hobbiest". I did a total of 210 lamps, each with 3 individual sections, a total of 630 turnings in about 6 weeks time. Netted $7,000. I did what the big boys would have done for a lot less money, and all by myself! You usually have to use strips of sand paper to finish up the turning, and fine tune the shapes with hand tools if desired. The woods I used were the hardest of tropical hardwoods imagineable. For that kind of wood I recommend the Vega Diamond Vee cutter, apparently not available at Amazon. If I were turning basswood, I could have made 1000 or more turnings in the same amount of time. I lost everything in the big fires here in San Diego County in 10/03, and finally getting around to replacing my equipment. This was one of my "must have" tools to replace. Very well made. You have to do simple routine maintenance, like taking off the cover and blowing out the dust with compressed air, or brushing it off. And keep it oiled. You make your own templates with plexiglass or lexan, which you cut out on a band or scroll saw and finish up with files or sand paper. They are fun to make, and to then try it out on the duplicator. THis tool is also a fun way to do turnings if you are a bit skittish holding the individual turning tools in your hand. THis machine actually improved my hand turning tools by giving me the confidence to go for it! As you can see, I really like this machine. Have fun.
