Good Enough
Seems as good as you can get w/o a tableAside from using a router table/fence arrangement, this edge guide does a great job. Like any other tool you have to make note of the direction the bit is rotating relative to the piece so that it pulls the guide tight to the edge of the work.
I used it on my PC 890 (yes it fits the 890 even though it doesn't say so in the item description) and was very happy with the prescision of the unit.

Excellent equipmentThis is a very sturdy, accurate, and versatile piece of gear. My only wish is that it should come in a protective case.

Usable But Not PerfectAn adjustable drill chuck for the Dremel power tool is a brilliant concept. Unfortunately the manufacturing precision is less than brilliant. I purchased the chuck for diamond drilling my wife's quartz crystals and gem stones in a water bath. The chuck jaws are eccentric (out of true) and a 1 mm diamond drill tip actually moves in a noticeably larger circle. This makes it difficult to start the drill in a hard surface and also causes water to be splashed about when drilling. I have owned large drill presses which are much closer to being true than this chuck. It might work OK for softer materials but I don't understand why it couldn't have been manufactured true in the first place.
DremelThe tool performs exactly as required and it it easy to use. This is consistent with other Dremel products I have owned.
simple and handyfits my dremel 400 xpr just fine and makes changing bits a lot easier

American Gardener Cordless Grass ShearThe American Gardener Cordless Grass Shear, GS48 4-Inch 4.8 Volt, is a good grass shear. Generally, only the Sears Craftsman is better; however, it is considerably more expensive.
My Opinion of the American Gardener Cordless Grass ShearsI purchased a pair of these shears last month after my Black & Decker ones wouldn't charge so I could use them for the season. I first thought I could do without something like this, but found that wasn't true. I chose these instead of another Black and Decker, because I liked the idea of a wider cut and more power. So far, I have been well pleased with the performance of these shears, and the ease with which they handle going around and up close to things where even a weed eater won't go. This is actually my 3rd pair of those type shears, so I'm really sold on them being a necessity in the yard especially if you have such areas where a weed eater type won't go and do a neat job. These shears do that, and as mentioned, so far, I am very well pleased with their performance.
The Best Grass ShearsThe cordless grass shears are the very best I have ever had. I have several pairs due to all the trimming that I do. I hate weed wackers, they are messy and hard for me to control. These grass shears have a nice long power charge and the width of the blade and the sharpness makes my job so much easier for me. In rescent years I had bought Black n Decker. After ordering these. I will never ever purchase anything but these. Thank you for having such a great product. Colette P. Santillo

Bad from the startI purchased the Delta 22-560 as my first portable planer in February of 2001. Prior to the end of the first year of use (casual wood worker) I had to take it in and have the cutter head assembly replaced. When I received it back from the Porter Cable/Delta repair shop, it sounded twice as loud as it did before I took it in. Today, as I was planing 2" red oak, I began to smell rubber burning and the unit quit cutting. (At least it did not spray the parts through-out the shop as one other user described.) Disassembling it, I determined that the cutter head assembly nut had come loose and could not be tightened without the pulley on the cutter head "throwing" the belt off because of a wobble in the pulley. I will not buy another Delta planer (even though I have been a Porter Cable/Delta purchaser for years) and am considering either a Makita or the Grizzly 15 inch.
Lemon anybody?I have always been a big supporter of Delta tools, However, I'm afraid I cannot give this product great praise. The fact is, the only reason I am giving them 3 stars at all is for the overall end product it can produce. Now I've used four different brands of planers and never encountered the types of problems I've had with this peice of equipment! Easily enough broken down, but jeeze I've had to take this thing apart 4 times this months... I've only used it 5 times this month! with moderate 1/16th cuts. Today the belt shredded to peices for the second time in 5 months. I'm about to find a Jet 15" planer online, The more expensive machine will pay for it self compared to all the time I lose trying to fix the delta!
Hope this machine was just a lemon, but prehaps this will help someone else.
Bad start but....When I bought this item I followed the advice of another review, that being to take the blades out and give the machine a clean. This was going along nicely until I had to remove the bolts that clamp the blade in place. The bolts were that tight that when they `cracked' sparks literally shot out.
Some bolts were that tight that I had to get a small piece of pipe to use as a lever arm. This problem was consistent for every bolt I tried. I had to give up trying when the tightness of the bolts damaged both the supplied wrench and the bolt head. I have informed Delta and am hoping they reply with an explanation.
Now after that little whinge the machine is quite good to use. The reason for not a higher rating is only due to this assembly error.

This Delta is the best table saw I've usedI have a small home shop, and purchased this saw about 3 weeks ago. I love it. I don't do any heavy production work, just furniture and cabinet work, and this is the perfect saw. I can honestly say that I will have this saw for a long time. Power is great, blade control is excellent, and the 50" Biesmeyer fence system is spot on accurate. I highly recommend this saw to anyone looking to purchase a cabinet style table saw. Delta is the best.
order the extension table!!I am very happy with the purchase of the 36-821L Unisaw. Although they do not specify it, you need to order or build the right extension table or you will not be able to use the saw correctly. It seems that the saw comes with all the parts needed for the extension table except for the most important part, the extension table. I decided to build my own extension table and it ended up costing me half the price. The saw was very easy to put together, it did not take 5-6 hours like the other reviews stated. Only one problem with the saw so far and that is that the on/off switch seems to be defective and although the saw does work, i will have to get in touch with... and/or Delta to fix the problem. It also does come with a very wimpy blade so you should upgrade it as soon as possible.
Great saw.I bought the Delta left tilt arbor Unisaw. I'm very happy with it. I could have purchased either the Powermatic or the General. The attention to detail on the machining seems better on the Delta than the other machines.

Good MachineI have had the machine for about 3 months now. It has done all I have asked of it. It does do all they advertise and will do it well for the home owner or hobby machinist. I do like the split point feature. Spend the time to review the documentation and DVD.
If you have a large number of bits to sharpen I suggest you order a replacement wheel / stone while ordering the machine.
It is not a professional machine designed for precision work. It also does not come with that price tag. It does like to walk around on the bench. Some additional weight would help. I am still skeptical of all the plastic parts and will see how well the wear.

Good tool.Having lost(to Katrina) my old model 250, which I had for about 8 years, I'm pleased with the new design and increased speed which the 750X has. I'm very satisfied and it's refreshing to receive a tool that works as advertised. So many companies have scrapped quality control in favor of "DISPOSABLE" products. Thanks Drill Doctor for maintaining quality in your products; and thank you Amazon for your "reasonable" pricing. Good tool at a good price, that's about all we ask.

Fein 2 1/2 inch E Cut BladeI recently used this blade to undercut door jabs and to undercut about 75 feet of molding. It worked flawlessly.
Great for making wide surface cuts but.....I'm glad I have this blade for use with the Fein Multimaster. The only problem is that when you are doing a job like trying to cut through a 3/4" cedar wall to install an outlet box, it is hard to keep a perfect corner. I am not talking about keeping a perfect line, it is great for that, but when you are trying to cut an exact corner with a wide angled blade, it is hard to determine the edge. Consequently the edge of your cut can go a little wider than hoped for, leaving a tiny slit that can run out of the outside circumference of your edge lines.
For making those kind of cuts the straight blades, without the angled sides makes for a perfect job. Knowing where the edge of the blade is, even while it is sinking into the wood is the key to getting your corners exact. With the 2 1/2 inch E cut blade, the tip is harder to get a bearing on where the vibrating edge is going to leave its mark. I'm not saying that you can't do the job with this blade, but for that type of application, the square rectangular blades make it easy to do a perfect job.
I'm not knocking this 2 1/2 inch blade. As a matter of fact I like using it for covering a wide area. I can angle the face of the blade along a line, and as the back of the edge is sinking deep, the front edge is starting a new edge of the cut. All in all highly recommended. PS: Get a square-rectangular style blade as well.

NOT for the frail or faint of heart...I've always used Milwaukee Sawzalls and I only replaced it with this one because I finally got sick and tired of having to use a wrench the change the blade. I know, they make tool-less blade change models, but I bought this on the advice of a friend who had one. Let me tell you, this is a BEAST! Heavy and powerful to the extreme. The 15-amp motor combined with the orbital blade action will make short work of anything that it touches. The blade literally springs out when released...great for those hot blades. No more burned hands. If you want a truly powerful cutting tool, look no further. This is it.
Makita Has Come Of Age!This saw is absolutely the best recip saw I've ever used! This saw's features and anti vibration technology,as well as the great Heavy duty steel case are not just gimmicks Makita is putting out there to sucker you in.They are true! This also has a true orbital with several settings based on material being cut,and the speed control dial is excellent. This tool is well balanced with a great ribbed grip on body and the handle is comfortable and won't crowd your hand(just lock the 2 finger trigger and there is still room for your hand under it!)This thing can purr or roar. Here's the thing-I'm a Makita guy,BUT I haven't always been,I once loved the "red one",but there starting to rest a little on their lorels.I switched my other tools to Makita's A couple of years ago,and have not been disappointed since.Don't buy a tool because of it's legend or high price, buy it because it will get the job done today, tomorrow and beyond. This saw get's the job done!!Period. And what I have discovered about Makita is there tool's perform just as claimed!Search around for other reviews etc.,you'll see I'm not alone in my opinion.
Great sawI bought this saw to cut two holes in an old roof that was now inside under a new roof. I went into the attic with a dozen blades and prepared for the expected typical beating that every one of this type of saw is known for. The old roof was about 1-1/2" of wood and 1" of asphalt. I cut two access holes in 13" by 24" in a matter of minutes and could not believe how painless it was. The original blade was still going. I've used many different recip saws over the years, but this is the only one really worked.

do it yourselfer NJThe only thing I would improve on the saw would be to have a positive detent on both 33 degree bevels to cut crown molding flat. Saw only has one.
Nice cutsBought this saw last week off Amazon. I did a bunch of research prior to making the purchase and had originally settled on the Bosch 4410L. One of the factors is that a construction friend of mine suggested I stay away from 12" blades - a little less accurate cut and I'm primarily buying the saw for trim work - and there do not seem to be many good 10" compound sliding systems out there. After speaking with a local shop (trying to find the Bosch locally for less than what Amazon sells it), I learned that the Makita was rated as having the most accurate cuts.
I'm a newbie to miter saws, so my evaluation probably isn't as valuable as some of the comments from those "in the trade". Here's a good laugh - I'm painting the trim before it goes on, then making the cuts...so my first project has been to make two saw-horses to lay the trim on for spraying. The cuts have been crisp and accurate. I haven't made any adjustments to the saw, except to play with the laser (this was a mistake - it took me a long time to get it as "dead on" accurate as it came out of the box.
One thing about this saw, though. When I was shopping around, I couldn't understand the value of tall fences or sliding fences. Now I do - as the Makita has neither.
The slide action is really smooth, cutting into stud lumber shows absolutely no drag on the blade.
One other thing - everything you hear about the dust bag is true. I don't even know why they put the extra design work into a dust collection system - it doesn't work worth diddly. I've tried connecting my shop-vac to it (you'll need a special connector for this which you can find at Depot for under three bucks), but that is almost worse - there is a thin rubber shovel at the back of the blade where the dust is supposed to go, in the shape of a narrow "U". When using the Shop-vac, it sucks the "U" shut, rendering the dust collection nearly useless.
If I figure that thing out, I'll make another post...
Likes:
Smooth as butter cuts, very crisp
Excellent slide action - no bumps, no resistance
nice stops in both miter and bevel
Dislikes:
Dust collection sucks (not a pun)
Why didn't they....
- make a better fence system. Nearly every serious miter saw now has tall fences on both sides
- build a better handle?
- include one or two more clamps?
Overall I'm happy. I'd love to check out a Bosch some day to see if I made the right choice. I did save over $100, so I can't bee too picky, though.

Dual Slide SawWhen our new house was built the contractor had this saw and he set it up in the garage to do his work. He told me that I could use it whenever necessary so I did use it quite often. When the time came to purchase a dual slide compound miter saw there was only one choice. Excellent quality.

Don't Fence me in...The Milwaukee Rip Fence is well crafted of stamped steel. About the same as any other rip fence.
It comes with several thumb screws and fits several Milwaukee models.
I have found the ruler markings to be accurate and the fit and finish to the saw acceptable.

A must have with any circular sawThis rip fence fits great and is measured accurately for perfect cuts.
It just does its jobThis will also work on Hitachi 7 1/4 saws except that the Milwaukee thumb screws does not fit on Hitachi saws which use a 6-mm metric fine-thread screw to hold the fence in place.
If your trying to route something like the front end of a cabinet (thin, isn't wide enough to support the router base) the method you use is to extend the guide is to screw a piece of wood to the adjustable plate. This plate can be thrown off because the guide plate shifts up and down because it doesn't meet the base of the router. I solved this by attaching a piece of plywood for a guide and making sure it was fully up against the router base otherwise the fence can shift.
I've had the more expensive magic circle router jig (I can't remember the exact name) and it did more things that I never used. It dropped it. It broke and I looked for something else, less expensive. This jig is reasonably priced and does the job.
