Great drillNote: I had the drill twist out of my hands many times, that's why you have to use the side grip attachment.
The only reason I gave it four stars is because the motor burnt out on me once. I think the connection broke on the trigger the second time.
Hoping I just got a lemon...Also, I can say from first hand experience that this drill CAN hurt you if you don't hold the drill and the work piece very firmly. My injuries were very minor but it was a powerful lesson in how much torque this drill has.

Milwaukee 6154-20
this tool is the bomb! The reason I went with the Milwaukee (besides the reputation) is this had a lot of power and variable speed, not found in most grinders.
I was able to rig a hose and a table to this grinder and use it for wet polishing of granite with the harbor freight diamond wet polishing pads. worked great and did a good clean edge on our granite countertops. However since this is not designed for this task, it only worked well in the jig I had created (would not work for a regular polishing application since there is no way to deliver the water through the shaft ...)
but anyhow I got the grinder I wanted and its performed flawlessly, although with a tool like this be sure you always use hearing protection as it can be loud ...
This tool has made a Milwaukee devotee out of meI'd been eyeing this grinder for quite awhile, and when we got sick of having to switch from grinding to polishing wheels on my friend's DeWalt, I picked one up. Milwaukee has a great tool in this little grinder. It can flatten down a weld in about half the time of the DeWalt. With the cutting wheel, I can cut through steel faster than the chop saw. It can also cut through automotive frame rails without a second thought.
My favorite thing about this grinder is the trigger action. The DeWalt's was slightly awkward and located a bit too near the wheel for my taste. The Milwaukee's is larger and easier to work with gloves. It also allowed for better balance and thus easier operation of the tool.
If you're doing woodwork or anything delicate, I'd steer clear of this machine. If you do regular automotive modification or any heavy metalwork, however, pick up one of these. It is a wonderful tool for everything from cutting off bolts, to grinding welds, to even cutting through fully boxed steel.

FINALLY
One Tough ShearThere are three bolts on the shear head. The bolt to loosen is the one that is closest to where the silver colored shear head attaches to the gray body. The wrench should be in the box. Enjoy!

Totally SatisfiedWell, I did.

The posting by the other reviewer really influenced my decision. Thanks to you (who ever you are).

DC550KA 18-Volt Cordless Cut-Out ToolI use the DC550 mainly to make cutouts in wood, drywall, plaster and acoustical tile for recessed lighting or electrical boxes. With a carbide burr bit, it will make cutouts in ceramic wall tile, solid surface or laminate backsplashes, but of course, won't cut harder floor tile materials. It also makes clean, splinter free cutouts in solid wood or veneered cabinets, such as when installing an outlet for a microwave/hood over a range or outlets in kitchen island or peninsula base cabinets. I have even used it for cutouts in thin stainless sheet clad walls that are found in commercial kitchens, and it works well on aluminum and vinyl siding too.
Battery life is very good and since the DC550K kit comes with two batteries, you can have one on charge and keep going all day long. The extra length and weight the battery does make this tool slightly less well balanced than the corded version when using it in the horizontal position, but the rubber grip area allows you to hold the tool firmly in various positions and as with anything else, the more you use the tool, the less noticeable this imbalance becomes.
There is no bump switch on top of the tool but the push through type on/off switch sticks out far enough so you can get at easily.
The tool-less quick-change bit holder is the same as on Dewalt's corded cut-out tool. It takes a little getting used to, but is much better than having to use a wrench every time you need to change a cutter bit. At 27,000 rpm's it's not as fast as the corded version but this doesn't really seem to affect its cutting ability. Overall, I feel that the DC550 is a very good tool that can go along way toward making your workday easier and more productive.
Another good Dewalt tool
DEWALT DC550KA has plenty of cutting power. The only drawback is the tool just slightly heavy.

4 stars and three fingers

other than that, it is a great tool!

Satisfying and... well... satisfyingThe wrenches, air hammer, and rotary tool are well made... durable, to say the least. Instruction guide is at best, adequate. Loading one of the chisels onto the air hammer is the only difficult assembly scenario out of the entire kit. The chisel spring does NOT attach and secure that easily. And, I think the kit could have been stacked with more grinding stones--of various assortment.
If you have not operated or owned air tools before, albeit this kit is not a professionally rated kit, I would recommend the purchase for novices. You won't be disappointed.

Extending my reach...The only thing that annoys me about the flex-shaft is that it won't accept a chuck to secure the bits, just collets. This can be a major frustration when I'm doing work that requires constant bit changes, with different bit diameters. Just when I thought I was rid of those pesky collets forever...

IF you don't have it you should
What I have found:
- As someone else has stated, the depth gauge is a little inaccurate. You will have to sight the depth for this (which is best anyway.)
- Made of quality materials. You've come across that cheap plastic before; this is not that stuff. This has taken a few drops, so far.
- The drywall bits seem to wear out quicker than I planned on. I have only cut 10 holes for electrical outlets and it seems to take longer to cut each time I use it. The first hole I cut went fast and smooth; whereas the last one that I just cut took three times as long, and twice as much pressure.
- The bit will tend to 'walk' if you don't have firm control over it. (I know, I know, this seems obvious, but maybe not to everyone.) Use of a guide or fence should help control the outcome of your results.
- Does NOT tear drywall. Smooth cuts on both sides -- smoother than my Greenlee drywall/keyhole saw.
- You'll need to use the mini-chuck with the guide. The bigger chuck won't allow the guide to screw down. (I think everyone got one with their main Dremel unit, but I'm not sure.)
- Holding a vacuum hose or air nozzle to one side of the guide will greatly increase your sight. This thing kicks up some serious dust, and unless the light is good, the line you're following may be difficult to see.
I highly recommend this product for those finish cuts on drywall where a saw just won't leave the edges smooth. If you plan on cutting more than 20 holes in drywall, I'd pick up another bit or two.
