Power Tool Accessories Review Dremel Minimite Battery Pack
I had no luck finding this product in stores. Everyone said the model Dremel I had was too old. So of course I did what I should have done first...I went to Amazon.com and there it was. It was a brand new battery pack and it works just fine. Thanks Amazon.com!

Power Tool Accessories Review Always Back Up Your Battery Pack
I've made it a habit to always purchase an extra battery pack, along with the battery recharger, when I purchase a MiniMite Dremel tool. When I use one battery, another is recharging for continuous use, and little waiting time.

Power Tool Accessories Review Just where is the savings?
I refuse to buy this product from you for the following reasons! You advertise that I save $10. by buying a battery pack from you, then charge 33 percent of its value, or $10., in "postage and handling". That makes the $20.00 item cost $30.00. My biggest question is this: How can you possibly charge $10. postage for a tiny, light weight item such as this?

Power Tool Accessories Review goes where no sander has gone before
small lite wieght sander that go and do more than any other sander. Has plenty of power to remove material and help in shaping wood. Just seams to send dust flying everywhere. If it had dust collection it would definetly deserve 5 stars, but then again if it had dust collection it would just get in the way.

Power Tool Accessories Review Very dependable and durable tool
I've been using this sander for many many years now. In fact I have 3 of them in my shop. Of course I bought them from Amazon.

Only thing you have to do to maintain this great tool is to change bearing. You can get them from Makita or many other on-line part shop.

Power Tool Accessories Review Unique 1" belt sander is a great little tool
I've had one of these little sanders for about 15 years.

It's a very specialized tool, and in my case, there haven't been many uses for it - however, when only a small belt sander will do the trick, this tool has worked well, without any problems.

It's light, safe to use, has plenty of power, changing belts is simple and fast, the handle for your left hand greatly aids in tool control, and overall, is well designed. The only feature mine lacks is variable speed, which the newer sanders have.

Even though the belt is narrow, it can throw off lots of dust, so consider using it outside (if possible), or use a respirator. It isn't a good choice for sanding flat wood much wider than an inch, since it's difficult to not leave groove marks at the belt edges.

Power Tool Accessories Review High quality, does the job
I have used the 8977-20 heat gun from Milwaukee for one entire day. It was on virtually the entire time for the purpose of removing varnish. It is light weight, quiet and provides ample heat for the job. The temp control is conveniently located at the rear of the gun. My only suggestion would be to provide a stand that would allow it to point upwards without blocking the airfow. It does have a flip-out stand but it rests the gun on the air intake. Other than that minor point, it is a great product

Power Tool Accessories Review Great for Getting Up Self Adhesive Tiles
This puppy works great. I have run for several hours while prying up self-adhesive floor tiles and have had no problems. It's light weight and the handle does not get overly hot so you can use it without a glove.

Power Tool Accessories Review Milwaukee 8977 Heat Gun
The Milwaukee heat gun is very quiet and provides rapid, constant heat. Temperature adjustment is easy, granted it does take some guess work to determine the output temperature. I've used this unit constantly for paint removal and shrink sleeving applications.

Power Tool Accessories Review Too much fun....
This tool actually belongs to my woodworking buddy who also lives next door. He got it for his birthday last year, but really hasn't used it much. He hasn't been able to get very good results with the machine. Mainly because he's fairly impatient and didn't really watch the video or read the manual. Don't get me wrong...he is not dumb...he just does better if someone show's him "hands on" how to use a particular tool.
I've had this tool in my shop now for a week or so, and it is really too much fun. My sweetie has some micro turning tools that I have always had a heck of time sharpening because they are so small. The tormak changed all that, once it is set up, these little tools are no longer a challenge, not even those #%$&**% tiny gouges. Our other turning tools are also enjoying a high level of sharpness. I've pretty much gone thru all the tools in my shop that have a cutting edge...chisel's, planes, etc., learning to use the machine and all the jigs that came with it. The video is excellant and the manual pretty complete, well layed out and plenty of pictures. Setup for differant tools does take a little time and patience, but I think with use, the time factor will be greatly reduced. It does a fantastic job on all cutting tools and I will miss this tool when it returns to it's home.
This is not a tool that I can afford, especially with all the attachments, but it is definitly on my wish list. Maybe one or all of the grandkids will get together next christmas and surprise me. (Yeah...that'll happen)
I would recommend this tool to all woodworkers who want sharp cutting tools and can afford this tool. It is very solid, fit and finish are excellent, runs smoothly, and very fast once set up.Maybe someday........

Power Tool Accessories Review Tormek SuperGrind
Buy the complete package; it is expensive, but you only have to do it once. The system is simple and easy to use. It gets the chisels so sharp you must watch those fingers when working on a project.

Power Tool Accessories Review Accurate and Effective
I bought the Tormek turners package. The Instruction book is first rate. The steps are easy to follow and the illustrations are clear. I have used it on chisels and hand plane blades. I'm working my way through all my tools and using them as I go. To date I am thrilled with the ease of use and the great results cutting wood. Flattening the backs on the side of the stone takes a little bit of time if there is a lot of material to remove but it goes easily. The tools work quickly and switching between the rough and fine grinding surfaces takes me about less than a minute including removing and replacing the tool being ground. I have changed bevel angles pretty easily. The honing feature is easy to use and gives the metal a mirror finish. The tormek is heavy enough to stay in place without any fastening required. The biggest bother is cleaning out the water tray but a hose does the trick in no time. I would not want to dump the fine, wet grit down a sink without running a lot of water.

This replaced a high speed grinder with 'special' white and pink stones plus and assortment of aftermarket jigs, diamond stones, ceramic stones, natural stones and other stuff. All of them helpful but slow and not as accurate.

If I figure all I spent on the other stuff I was half way to the Tormek package. I should have listened to my wife when she said "just buy the best".

Power Tool Accessories Review A GREAT KIT FOR THE DIY
I got this tool set for christmas, and haven't stoped using it.
Whether building a shed to doing home repairs this is a great set of tools I would recommend to anyone. 5 stars doesn't begin to discribe it.

Power Tool Accessories Review 18V Power + Lightweight + Versatility = Convenience
If your looking for a go anywhere do anything tool kit, then this is it. The 18V power combined with the balanced, lightweight design makes this 5 tool set a real value. I love the "feel" and versatility this unit provides and the second battery and quick charger keep me right on task with no delays. The sander is especially nice because it can get into the very tightest of corners. I used the grinder to cut off some nails poking out under my deck boards and it made quick work of them. And the saw was up to the task of cutting the hole in the roof I needed for installing a new attic vent. Thank goodness this is a cordless unit with real power. Finally, I didn't think I would ever use the chisel, but yesterday I installed a new oak threshold (the old one had dry rot) and needed to chisel some of the new threshold out to account for some uneveness between the stoop and the brickwork. Overall, this unit works really well and I also like the space saving case. My only reservation is where to get replacement sandpaper with the same holes in it, but I finally found some that fit at a local True Value. Everything I thought it would be and more. Highly recommend!

Power Tool Accessories Review A true do-it-all, do-it-yourselfer tool
I've owned the ComboTool 5-n-1 for almost a year now and I absolutely love it. I originally purchased it for (2) reasons, 1)sometimes you just need a reciprocating saw and 2) the cost of a reciprocating saw is nearly as much as the 5-n-1. Therefore, with the extra features/tools included, I saw it as an incredible value.

I just recently completed the installation of a new fireplace and chase(non-masonry chimney). I can say with complete confidence that I could not have done it without the 5-n-1. Oh, sure, I could have gone out and rented/bought the tools that I needed. I could have gone up and down 20 feet of scaffolding to swap tools. But, the time and cost of doing so would have been a real detriment. With this tool I was able to keep everything right by my side and swapping is a matter of seconds. Another huge advantage was the 18V battery pack. If I can help it, I'll never go back to extention cords:-) Because the tool comes with (2) batteries, one is always charging(it only took about 40 minutes) while the other one is in use. Not one time in nearly 3 weeks of this project did I have to stop working to wait on a battery. On top of that, they are amazingly powerful. For instance, I used the recip. saw to cut through 6-8 floor joists in my crawl space and the thing never flinched. Needless to say, I'm a completely satisfied customer. I recommend the 5-n-1 with 5 stars.

Power Tool Accessories Review The best
This countersink has to be the best on the market. Ive tried many diffrent brands over the years and never found as good. I buid resturants for a living that requres a demanding scheul.which really puts tools to a harsh test.this tool has preformed well.

Power Tool Accessories Review DeWalt countersinks-A view from the job site
I have burnout, broken, dulled, and demolished every kind of countersink/drill bit Ive been able to find over the years. Even my old fovorite, the Fuller countersink, would need attention after 8 or 10 jobs. I'd get a year out of a set, maybe. Then I got my hands on some DeWalt countersink, and after more than a dozen jobs I still haven't had to sharpen a one. Even the #6 & #8 which I use the most. The countersink has stayed sharpe though hundeds of holes,in plywood, pressboard, formica,& solid stock. The drill bit has also exceded my exspectations. It has stayed true and hasn't shown any signs of fatigue. I have yet to have to sharpen either piece, which has save me time (and money). This is the best countersink combination I have found. I could go years without buying another one , if I didnt loose it at the last job.

Power Tool Accessories Review Great for cutting plaster walls
As one reviewer already said this is the best tool for cutting plaster walls. You can easily replace sections of the wall with drywall or cut openings for outlets/switches by using this tool to cut the plaster. Once the outline is cut you can remove the paster in the section to be replaced without chipping or cracking the rest of the wall. Then you remove the lathe and fill the hole with drywall. I was able to cut about 25 feet before I wore out the bit. Well worth the money. Use a vacuum when cutting to suck up the dust. Can't go wrong with this on plaster.

Power Tool Accessories Review The Best Yet for Cutting Plaster
I've been trying to find a way to cut plaster neatly, and without creating a lot of dust. I've tried various bits in my RotoZip (with vacuum attachment), various bits and wheels in my Dremel, a masonry wheel in my drill, and even a circular saw. All of these failed, either because the cutter wore out too quickly, or too much dust was created. This little diamond wheel, however, has worked well. It is so thin; it creates little debris. I can hold my vac nozzle right up next to it while I'm cutting, and I capture most of the dust. I've cut about twenty feet of plaster thus far, and there is no noticeable wear (reduction in diameter of the wheel). So far, I am very pleased.

Power Tool Accessories Review The ONLY working solution to make curved cuts in floor tiles
If you have ever tried to make a smooth curved cut in a super-hard porcelain floor tile, you probably gave up. I almost did. I needed to make very accurate semi-circle cut at a side of a tile that goes around shower drain. No tools allowed performing this task. All professional tiling specialists (I asked at least 5 of them) suggested nipping the tile, saying that that was the only way to do it.
All rotary cutters, INCLUDING THIS ONE, would say "Do not use on floor tile". Well, you would not be able to do the job using ONLY this diamond cutter, but wait, there is a solution that worked unexpectedly fine for me.
Follow these steps:
1. Draw a cut-off line on the front side of you tile with a pencil.
2. Using a rotary tool with variable speed capability and this cutter, work along the line making superficial groove (1/16 of an inch is enough). IMPORTANT: use low speed setting (up to 8000 RPM), otherwise the cutter will overheat momentarily; work for no longer than 3 seconds at a time, then just let it idle for another 3 - 5 seconds to cool off.
3. When you are done with the groove, set you rotary tool aside - you won't need it anymore - and use a wet saw to make parallel cuts every 1/4 of an inch. Cut it all the way up to you groove. When you're done, you can snap off cuts strip by strip at the place where your groove is, which will result in ideally precise cut on the face of your tile.
THE BOTTOM LINE: no other tool can be used to make a precise inner curved cut in a floor tile.
Smart, isn't it? :-) And I'm not even a pro!
Thanks Dremel!

Power Tool Accessories Review Makita 9227CX3 7" Electronic Sander-Polisher
Excellent tool. The polisher is easy to control once you get the hang of it. It easily, quickly, and with plenty of power applied the liquid car wax I was using. The tool felt well balanced and well behaved. The speed control is delightful to experience - maintains the same speed under load or no load conditions.

The tool came with two bonnets, one to apply compound and another for final polishiing. The compounding bonnet is the only one I used since I discovered this same bonnet also polishes to a deep luster as the wax you're applying hazes over - the bonnet polishes this haze to nice deep shine. I also used a small spray bottle of water to wet small areas to help spread the wax - it worked great. I am ordering two new compounding bonnets for spares. Suggest you test out the bonnets and find out for yourself before ordering more....

I am really happy with this tool, and I feel it is well worth the money. I highly recommend it to anyone looking to buy a similar tool.

Power Tool Accessories Review The best available
The Makita 9227 buffer is one of the top two if not the best available. It has more than enough power and with the electronic speed control, maintains RPMs even when putting pressure on the tool if used as a sander/grinder. The handle is probably the best feature of this tool, giving you great control when buffing/polishing.

Power Tool Accessories Review makita 9227cx3 polisher
Great polisher, easy to use, plenty of power,I would highly recomend the polisher to anyone.I dont like the polishing pads that came with it(they work good but get fuzz everywhere)I planned on getting foam pads anyway.

Power Tool Accessories Review The Holy Drill
Our company bought a few of these drills about 5yrs ago. They are all still going strong (the Bosch drills have burned up). Most drills rated by the manufacturers for 7/8" say they can handle 7/8" drilling periodically, but their mainstay is 1/4-1/2". These Milwaukee drills have been put through the wringer with our guys using up to 1&1/8" hammer bits going through solid block walls with very little effort. Milwaukee's 3/8" hammer is also a strong workhorse that is worth every cent.

Power Tool Accessories Review The "Hammer" in Masonary Drills!
This Milwaukee 1\2" 5370-6 Hammer Drill gets the job done! I had a DeWalt cordless hammer drill for 3 years and except for masonry mortar work, it was just a good drill that was a play toy at cracking and drilling concrete! When I found this Milwaukee model at a close out price, I purchased it and sold the cordless. I shouldn't have waited this long . I always wanted the Milwaukee drill. Powerful, reliable, lightweight, built like a tank and indestructible! It will drill through anything I can put in front of it. This is a very high quality tool with a Great reputation. I though I could kill two birds with one drill?! NOT! Got a new "Cordless Drill" separately for convenience and this Milwaukee to lay the hammer down! Would have been worth the full price 3 years ago, but I'll live and learn!

Power Tool Accessories Review Milwaukee tools' 1/2" hole shooter is the BEST
This Milwaukee #5370-6 1/2" MAGNUM hole shooter is the absolute best in drilling in masonry or brick. It chews it apart with little effort on the user! This tool uses the masonary bits and drives them two steps further in the implemantation of drilling holes for either fasteners to be placed inside or holes for your wires to run through. I have pysically wasted two other well known brand name drills {AEG! } because they just were not TOUGH ENOUGH. This Milwaukee drill IS tough enough to do the job and I just wish I had bought this in the first place. If you are going to do a job: use the right tool and go to Milwaukee Tools as they have the toughest tools that outlast the jobs!

Power Tool Accessories Review Tips and Advice...
I bought the cheaper version of this (green HF one). Given my research has shown Powertwist is generaly better quality but functionally the same as the green ones, I think the cost increase equals things out pretty much. I am throwing up this review as I regularly use amazon for research and wish someone had "spilled the beans" for me before my purchase.

I proactively bought the link v-belt to replace my relatively new belts in my jointer, table saw and drill press. Given the cost and hindsight being 20-20 I probably would have waited til my "regular" v-belts wore out.

First off, I was getting terrible results until I found out that the "T end" of the links needs to trail in the rotation of the belt. Given proper installation, I can do the penny balance trick on my table saw turnng it on and off.

I really do not understand all the superman-like transformations people are describing. The noise level is not radically different and my machines were not vibrating that much to begin with. Maybe there is significant benefit to smaller contractor style tools, but on larger, properly tuned gear (250lb and up range) I think the difference is probably not worth the cost of proactive replacement. There are much better upgrades that can be had in the woodshop for power tools.

Power Tool Accessories Review Worth Every Penny
Exceeded even my heightened expectations. I don't know what mad man or woman thought this would be the best solution, but it is astonishing. Don't read any farther, just click Buy Now!

Power Tool Accessories Review Power Twist V-Belt
I had looked around for a belt to fit my table saw motor replacement and found Power Twist V-belt would fit the bill nicely.
I didn't know exactly what fixed belt size would fit the motors pulley, the Power Twist offered the best solution. Grizzly's offered the best price on this item as I shopped around.

I had to play around with the links to understand how the loop link ends closed, as the instructions and pictures were not that informative. This variable sized link belt worked great on the new table saw replacement motor pulley. Slippage nill, and vibration undectable. Just be sure to orient the belt arrows to the direction of pulley turn.
