DeWalt is BetterTo insert a bit into the Makita Ultralok, you have to pull the collar back and insert the bit--a two-handed operation. With the DeWalt Rapid Load, you just push the bit in as it is spring-loaded. I would give this 1 star, but most of the hex shank holders work the way the Makita does, and the Makita is of good quality. The drill bits are decent.
Great 7 piece bit set!I purchased the Makita 784873-A 7-Piece UltraLok Set for my husband who owns the Makita 6233DWBLE 3/8" drill. The bits fit into the drill wonderfully and changing them is easy and goes qiuckly. The 7 different bit sizes are great for the many tasks that you can do with this drill. This was a great investment!

Good execution, mediocre designThe unit is a nice addition. For some reason, while the RA 1161 base that come with the router comes with a hex key to allow depth adjustment from the top if the router is installed in a table, the RA 1164 which is dedicated to a router table has no provision for depth adjustment from the top of the table. It looks like the new base design does accomodate this feature.
Works great! What can I say, if you have the right Bosch router this is a must have no matter what brand table you use. It works very nicely and saves alot of time if you only have one router. If you have funds enough to buy a second router than you don't need this.
Nice itemIt's great to not have to remove the baseplate from the router to install it on the table, just flip the clamp and slide out the router motor head!

I could have done a better job with a strawThis vac is an absolute hunk o'Junk!
1)It over heats and turns itself off (after only 10 minutes of vacuuming) and it will not restart for at least 45 minutes.
2)The dust cup or containment compartment is MESSY and difficult to empty, when removed it creates a huge dust cloud over the waste basket.
3)I am convinced the replacement filters for this machine do not exsist, I have found not one retailer who sells this product that carries the filters.
4) And as for trying to contact Euro-Pro, the maker of this marvelous machine, you can let the unit cool while you are on hold with customer service.

Annoying and only somewhat usefulI live in a narrow and cluttered NYC apartment so I purchased this vacuum thinking that it could be used to clean up the floors and the attached hose could be used get under all the futurniture and other surfaces.
It works ok at best on the open floor but when you get down on your hands and knees to try to get under the futons and behind bookcases, the exhaust ends up blowing the dust bunnies all over the place. Unless you cradle the body of the vacuum against your body so that the strong exhaust dosen't end up scattering the dust you were trying to pick up, it ends up creating a bigger mess than when you started.
It could be extremely useful as its light weight and versitile, but the design flaws make it a complete waste of money.

Supplemental Use OnlyI use this vacuum to supplement my Dyson as I have 2 dogs, 2 cats, and 2 children. It works well on wood floors and even my basement floors where I keep my cats' litter boxes. However, the cord is short and it does not work very well on carpet. Sometimes I'll vacuum closet spaces or use it on our stairs; however, I would not recommend using this as your main source for sweeping up after your pets. My Dyson is a miracle worker compared to this, and the customer service department for Dyson is much more efficient. When one of my children broke my Dyson hose, I called the customer service department and they sent me another hose at no charge. The Shark filter costs nearly $18 to replace, and because the Shark is a small vacuum, it does not take long before the filter needs to be replaced if you have pets who shed a lot. I have even rinsed the filter, but it still bears replacing. It's great for sweeping up small jobs, but if you are looking for something to suction up a large space or after pets and children, keep looking.

Poor quality control!I've bought the drill through a hardware store. The first one got a stuck speed gear as described by other reviewers. So I exchanged for a second one. The second drill has excessive sparks in the motor and I returned it without hesitation. I'm going to try the Milwaukee as suggested by others.
Adequate Torque But Too Damn HeavyI'm a contractor. I lift heavy things all day long, so I'm no 90lb weakling. But, I have to admit, I sold this tool after three months because I found it too heavy and cumbersome for all day use. The torque was adequate, but I find my 12v Porter Cable drill equally up to the task at a fraction of the weight. (Unfortunately, the chuck on the P/C drills are a total piece of crap, which is a whole other story!) Oh, this drill is fine for driving a few screws here and there, or the occasional heavy duty drilling tasks. But due to their weight and size, I now believe 18v drills in general are not versatile enough for professionals to use on a full day-to-day basis. In fact, many other contractors and builders I know have also dumped their 18v+ drills for lighter, smaller 12v and even 9.6v models. Plus, whenever I need a little extra power, I just pull out my 1/2" Milwaukee Hammer Drill, plug it in, and bombs away!!
Great drill.. Like the extra battery!Earlier I wrote that this drill broke after the warranty expired... Well, it didn't! Turns out I moved the clutch when drilling and it appeared that the gears gave out. All I had to do was turn the clutch back to one of the presets and all was good! I have used the heck out of this drill for drilling many holes and putting in many screws (drywall, shelving, etc.) and used it to build a playset for the kids. Battery life is very good and I love the fact that there is another battery. I am pleased with this drill & would buy it again. Now that I educated myself to the clutching mechanism, all is good!

Beware Of Cap!This product is AWFUL! Do not leave the cap on when storing it after several months of non-use. The cap will rust and become impossible to remove. I even tried channel lock pliers and spray lubricant! I called Customer Service and they want me to ship it back to them and charge me a repair fee. After that, I am expected to pay to ship it BACK to me! Forget this product. Euro-Pro is euro-trash!
Non-existent Customer ServiceThis item was shipped without the manual (not from Amazon). Operation is NOT intuitive and a friend who was trying to help out was scalded. Unfortunately the Euro-Pro Company uses a call center that is apparently located in a third world country. In other words, unless you speak Hindi, forget it. After 6 months am still waiting for the manual. I hope someone here can help out.
Euro Pro Professional Steamer makes for expensive garbageI too bought the Euro Pro Steamer from HSN a few years back. When the unit arrived it was banged up from the get go as if it had been dropped upside down a few times. Unfortunately, the reviews about the non-existent customer service is too true. When I tried to reach them for questions about the unit the line was always busy. I loved my steamer at first banged up or not. It was great at cleaning grout, tile floors, and windows although it was time consuming waiting for the thing to heat up. Yesterday however I went to steam clean my floors, and found that this steamer turned out to be very dangerous. As the thing started to heat up, steam started pouring out through the lid while making horrible noises as if the lid were about to explode off of it. I unplugged it and let it sit for a while thinking that perhaps I didn't put the lid on right or something. After about 30 minutes I went back to check the lid and a huge burst of steam shot out and burned my arm and face. For $300.00 or more dollars I would expect this supposed cadillac of all steam cleaners to last for more than two years. This Euro Pro is going in the garbage, and I don't plan on buying any of there products ever again. If any of you know of a good steam cleaner please let me know.

Show But No GoThis multi-tool set is really pretty, but it is all show and no go. The tools are so heavy and clunky that they are difficult to use. The jig saw has an extra button on the power head that makes it very difficult to use. You actually have to push a button with both hands to get it to work. All of the tools are very noisy and require ear protection to use. The batteries have a very short life and a very long charging time. If you accidentally leave them on the charger it will distroy them. I bought this set for my son for Christmas, but the little elves that built it were obviously not tool makers. I'm sending the whole mess back. No more Black and Decker for me!
Old-TechAs you can see, the other reviews date all the way back to 2000, which tells you that this product was designed a long time ago compared to other cordless tools and batteries available today. This set was, in it's prime, pretty good. I bought it for my mom for Xmas 2001 (which has only been used a couple of times,) and bought one for myself (to replace my Ryobi 12v) a year later
One of my (2) batteries became very aenemic after a year, and the other one's pretty much shot now. For light household use, the driver's pretty much average for a 12v, but the saw and sander eat up the poor capacity NiCD's pretty quick. Forget about replacing the batteries, too, since they are the same capacity as the originals, and about $50 a pop! I may share in some of the blame for the relatively short life of the batteries, because the charger has no trickle or shut-off feature, and who can remmber to remove them from the charger in a timely fashion every time?
I saw a MUCH newer B

Four years of good light to medium duty jobsI've owned the Multi-tool for four years, and recently had to replace one of the original batteries. A single battery will last most of the day drilling dry wall srews or wood screws. The Saw will cut 1/2 inche ply-wood and the batteries lasted about an hour each doing so. Recently we've added a room to the back of the house 19'X10' and again the driver did a fine job. Now we are gutting out a closet a bathroom and laundry area and combing them into one large bathroom and again one fully charged battery will last most of the day driving screws. I can't say much about the sander, but the noise level is not an issue. The B&D 12volt Multi-Tool is no louder than any other 12 or 14.4 cordless drill.

Isn't steam supposed to be hot?Well, I'm glad I borrowed this from a friend instead of wasting my own money. I know why it's been sitting in it's box for about a year now. This must be the worst household invention in history. It looks attractive and has a nice, long cord...the only two good things about it. I'd rather it be ugly with a short cord and work.
Okay...first things first. You put about 6 oz. water into the so-called steamer. Wait 3-4 minutes for it to warm up. That's what it does. It warms the steam. It says not to direct at people, plants or animals, but after trying it on several surfaces and being disappointed, I blasted my hand about 2-3 inches from the nozzle. My showers are hotter than this steam. So, I use the warm steam on surfaces such as stove, shower, etc. USELESS!!! Stick to traditional methods and use environmentally safe cleansers instead. If it was the "type" of dirt that the steamer could actually remove, you would have to hold the stupid thing about a 1/4 inch from it for what seems like a minute. So, by the time you get done cleaning that 1" X 1" area, guess what? Time to refill your Eureka HotShot!! Oh yeah...it's that awesome. While you're waiting for the unit to cool down, you could probably go ahead and clean whatever it was you were trying to clean with this thing. Warning...Don't buy this product!!!!

I burnt my hand 3 timesI had high expectations but everytime I try to use it the hose twist off and dumps hot water on me. It definatly dosn't really steam anything off. Holding down the button is a pain. I wish there was a latch to hold it down. Your better off scrubbing it yourself. It suppose to save you time but creates a bigger mess then you started.
M.J.Cummins "Mandy" Disappointed in BathroomI think you forgot to plug it in. My Hot shot is as hot as any steam can get and that's "scalding Hot". Perhap the problem is is that the cord was cut off it and you couldn't plug it in because it's Far from Short. My Hot shots cord is over 16 feet long. that's right count em SIXTEEN FEET LONG. I don't know maybe for some people that's short. for me that's the longest cord I ever had on ANY appliance and is MORE than sufficient. As for doing only 1" x 1" you must trying to get the red out of a red brick. OR Maybe you should clean a little more often. I do a whole oven and stove area on 1 fill. I do a 6" x ^' Macaw Cage with one fill. Talk about crevices and crooks and nannies. I use the steamer because IT IS THE MOST ENVIRONMENTALLY SAFE CLEANER avaiable and I don't have to worry about injuring or killing my bird. Besides it works wonders at cleaning and killing Germ

Saw from hellI bought this saw sat.12/10/05. saw was damaged right out of the box,got back to the store, they opened up a new box and that one was damaged, they gave me yet another saw, took that saw home, roller bearing guides were loose, doors rattle and it won't keep a blade or a belt on it for more than thirty seconds.Spent tuesday night with delta tech support, spent 45 minutes wednesday night with delta tech to no availe(lovely people but no solution.Today I called the store where I purchased the item and they are going to contact delta to see if I am entitled to a return, store credit or "up the creak" Saw weighs a ton would probably make a good mooring if you have a boat.
Great tool for the priceWorked right out of the box. Didn't have the problems others described. Followed instructions to the letter. Bit of a problem with resawing. The 3/4 hp motor bogs down easily, must take it really slow. Overall a fine tool for the bucks.
Seems OKI just bought my bandsaw on Sunday. Everything seems to be working OK and I am fairly satisfied. True, the packaging was heavy, but the heavier the machine, the more steady it will be when you place any heavy items on it that you are working with.
My only problem is after I spent 3 hours assembling the thing, I realized it didnt come with a rip fence or miter guage, and the main thing I wanted to do was resaw.
I have to wait until the next day to go back to Lowes and they do not sell any assessories for delta tools. I go to the Delta website and type in my zip code on their dealer locator and four nearby Lowes stores come up on the screen.
After paying $400 for a saw, you would expect these two items to be included?

underachiever Bought at Lowes for $99 plus there was a rebate(forgot the amount). Works great for dust collectoin from sanding table(also a delta) but does poorly w/ planer(delta) because chips get stuck on protection cage in front of impeller(I may remove this)also leaks where hose fitting is screwed to housing(silicone should solve this). 2 stars because Delta should have thought this out better. Also replced crappy 30 mocron bag w/ 5 micron bag. Big difference!!!
Pretty good dust extractorI've never used any other extractor, so I can't say how this compares. For my use, I needed an extractor I can pick up and carry occasionally as needed, not too expensive, and it's been working fine. I felt like I wasn't getting enough extraction from one (I'm connecting it to a dust-extraction table, where it's pulling in air through slots in a table that's about two by three feet, so I need quite a bit of draw) so I got a second one. Together, they're doing what I need.
Portable, low noise, Lung saverI have an apartment only to work in and it's full of tools and collectables. This dust collector will eat all the dust my router table will create and save space. I,ve only added a felt bag over the delta bag to filter to 1 micron.

Low End JUNKI purchased one of these to make my dremel into a drill press for wood - mostly softwood and it has been a terrible experience. The collars that attach the tool do not allow for perfect square alignment and the dremel many times cant seat a bit so there is no wobble. I was disappointed with this tool. I found that MicroMark makes a small hobby drill press (as well as other great tools) that is sturdy, reliable and excellent. It maycost more then the dremel but you do get what you pay for.
useful but not for fine workI bought this as a cheap alternative to a drill press (I already have a Dremel). It is useful for most rough work, but cannot be used for fine work since the column is an aluminium tube and the tool holder is plastic - there is too much yield in the structure. By fine I mean, if you need to drill a hole within less than 1/32 inch of a marked location.
The press also has a little (mysterious) sideways play that I could not get rid of by any amount of tightening.
The press also has a little (mysterious) sideways play that I could not get rid of by any amount of tightening.
Good for PCB drillingI bought this attachment for drilling 0.7mm holes on printed circuit boards. It had a little side-play, but rotating the height guide eliminated the problem. I use it with a Black & Decker RTX (yes, it works if you replace the top holding screw with a longer one and force the holding ring a little bit) and the Dremel multi-chuck for holding such small drill bits, and it works great.
I couldn't imagine using a standard 10" drill press with a 1/2" chuck along with 0.7mm (less than 1/32") drill bits, and the drill press adapters for conventional hand drills had WAY too much play.
